The Universe is full of surprises, everywhere you look there is something unique and different to see, and one of them is a planet called Terraria.
The unique thing about this planet is instead of it being naturally occurring or created by gods, the planet itself is a god, a goddess called Terraria.
Terraria has the power to create and influence life, although she creates life not to take care of It, but to see it fight, die, live, and kill in the most brutal of manners, she loved the chaos and wished to see it occur everywhere.
She created prey so the predators could kill
She created stronger predators to kill the weaker ones
She made prey deceptively strong to surprise the predators
She made predators so strong that not even deceit could kill them.
For thousands of years, she went on this streak of creating creatures that were more powerful than the last, and at one point, she created a creature so powerful, it could break the rules that were set upon itself and grow more powerful than it was ever meant to be.
This creature quickly grew to hate Terraria, wanting to make the goddess suffer and make her his slave so he could rule over everything in her land.
The creature used its power to take control of as many creatures as he could, reducing most of them to mindless monsters, he even disturbed the dead from their eternal slumber, all so he could weaken the goddess.
But the goddess quickly retaliated, she quickly alerted the dryads, beings connected to Terraria herself, to slay the creature that grew too powerful.
But, the creature was now too strong for her, and no matter how much power she blessed the dryads with, she knew the tyrant would not die, she, however, also knew that he would not escape unscathed, so she commanded the dryads to attack, to rip him to pieces.
And pieces were indeed ripped, he lost his eye, a chunk of his brain, parts of his skeleton, even his spine was taken from him.
He fled from the planet, escaping the goddess' grasp, but also losing control over his army.
His hatred was at an all-time high, and with the last of his strength, he cursed the goddess with a disease with the sole purpose being to consume all of Terraria, it being made entirely from sin. He then fled to the moon to gather strength, and eventually return to his glory.
But that didn't make the situation back in Terraria any better, his army was still ravaging the land, and the creature's body had so much power coursing through it that the ripped body parts gained a mind of their own and started causing chaos, even the blood spilled by him was filled with hatred and started infecting everything around It, much like the disease. To make matters worse, the attack the goddess formulated with the dryads overloaded the dryad army with power they couldn't handle, killing all but one of their species.
The goddess came to the conclusion, that in order to keep the life she created from destroying her, she had to lock away its power so it would harm her no more.
So she decided to seal as many of the powerful creatures as she could, as well as weaken anything that wasn't sealed, and as a failsafe, she made something that would release upon the land if the seal were to be broken, something similar to the disease, while also being the complete opposite: an extreme purity, one that no evil could infect, but it on itself would infect everything around it with its holiness, ensuring no evil could take it.
But this seal would also weaken the goddess herself, she would be powerless against anyone who tried to break it, as such, she made a guardian for it, but due to her getting weak due to the overuse of her power, she decided to limit the power of the guardian so she could finish making the seal, to make up for that, she made it as intimidating as she possibly could.
When she finally finished making the seal, she unleashed it in the underworld, along with its guardian.
The seal severely weakened her, but made the lands of Terraria a lot more peaceful, ensuring she would live.
After "The Grand War", the goddess was saddened, the conflicts in the land of Terraria got much tamer, and she could make powerful creatures no more, she could only make weak, small, pathetic creatures that only wandered about doing nothing.
Although, as time went by, she started to appreciate the peacefulness of these critters, The Grand War made her so stressed, that the lack of conflict of the critters was therapeutic to her.
And thus, the goddess wished for conflict no more.
Writer's note
Whoa, that's actually a lot more than I expected, I'd say it's good for a first fic, even though it's just the prologue, also as you can see this is pretty much its own lore, almost completely different from the official lore (though I did steal some stuff from there), something I'd like to point out is there is no "order of the guide" for reasons you'll see later.
Bye.
