I loved the live-action movie The Little Mermaid so much that it inspired me a little. It's not easy for me to focus on Marinette because I'm still too much of a fan of Cat Noir. Black and purple are my style.

The ocean was beautiful, filled with coral reefs that were like a sea garden for the fish and all sea creatures. Especially for merpeople to live in their civilization of their kingdom underwater. But unfortunately, the heartless king was never nice to all and the merpeople prayed for a miracle to put an end to his madness. Sadly, rumors have been going around that the prince disappeared 3 years ago for unknown reasons. No one knows if he's still alive and the king blames everyone for his son's disappearance. He wanted him back but he could not find him. Just like losing his queen lead him to grief to madness.
At the shipwreck, a merman teen with a blue fishtail, blond hair, and gorgeous emerald eyes has come back to his humble home he calls it since no merpeople ever go to the shipwreck. A year ago, he found a magical ring containing a cat-kwami sea creature with green fins that taught him to be a catfish.
"Plagg, you already ate like 5 pieces of shrimp already. I can't go back to the town again. I've been hiding as long as I can" The boy said, swimming to the wrecked ship room containing a vanity mirror.
"But you survived thanks to me," Plagg said.
"Swimming away is not survival, Plagg. Yes, being Cat Noir is great to have freedom but my father is still on the throne. Who knows what he'll do to find me" Adrien sighs and swims outside to go and cook seaweeds near the hydrothermal vents like a stove. Once done he sat on a rock to eat them.
"You do know you're turning into a very wild fish with no rules, no one telling you what to do, and eventually you'll go crazy," Plagg said.
"Not as long as you are in my company," Adrien said.
"I'm a magic creature, not a merman. Besides, you need to find a girl in your life so you don't have to be so lonely for the rest of your life. Who knows if the sharks will take your home" Plagg said.
"If there's any" Adrien said.
Far away was one mermaid with bluish hair in pigtails and pink seashell bra swimming in the reefs. Collecting sea flowers that are her favorites and placed them on the sea garden floor to decorate.
"They are perfect" She smiled.
"And beautiful pearls for beauty" The red kwami-creature planting pearls.
"Indeed Tikki," The mermaid said.
"If only the king can see the beauty of the ocean," Tikki said.
"Rather than himself. No one dares to overthrow him" The mermaid said.
"All because his son went missing. If he was found, you and he would be a better king and queen" Tikki said.
"If I was Queen Marinette," The mermaid said her name.
"Yes. Not like that brat Chloe" Tikki said.
"She's always selfish. No merman would ever love her" Marinette swims back to the mermaid kingdom.
On the way, she met up with her best friend, Alya.
"Hey girl" Alya waved.
"Hey, Alya. Are you still making good stories again?" Marinette asked.
"Indeed I am. Ever since that meteor crashed down in the ocean, it gave us technology more advanced than anything we have ever seen" Alya taking pictures with her cellphone.
"And make lives better. Right, Tikki?" Marinette said.
"Yep, that's right" Tikki nodded.
"Good, but it's been like three years since the prince vanished," Alya said.
"He was such a great and handsome model. Why did he disappear?" Marinette asked.
"Don't know. Maybe to get away from his strict father?" Alya swims to town with her.
"Maybe. I wonder if he's still alive" Marinette said.
"Maybe he found a better life," Alya said.
"I hope so" Marinette shrugs.
"Now come. Who knows if you'll meet up with Cat Noir again" Alya said.
What they don't know is that a mysterious merman with a black fishtail with green fins, a black mask, cat ears, and black arms with claws was watching her.
"She looks purretty," Cat Noir said.
A horde of fish swims by and it made Cat Noir hiss at them for ruining his daydream, "Go away!" He swats some away, "Great, now I feel like going for some fish food" He groaned and swam.

At the kingdom reef castle, King Gabriel stared at the family portrait of his wife, his son, and himself. So mad that his son disappeared and without the next heir in line, there will be no one to rule.
"Adrien, you're such a fool to swim away," He said to himself.
"Sir, the meeting starts now," His advisor Nathalie said.
"I'm coming" Gabriel swam to join the meeting.
"It's been 3 years since your son disappeared, Gabriel," The ambassador merman said.
"You are getting old. You enjoy far too much on the throne" The ambassador mermaid said.
"I will not rest until my son is found. The search for him has failed us" Gabriel said.
"If you don't find him by the end of the month, we will have to find a new prince for the coronation," The ambassador said.
"You're suggesting my nephew Felix?" Gabriel asked.
"He's the only young royal blood in the family, Gabriel. We need a new king for the throne!" The ambassador said.
"I know, but first the final search for Adrien!" Gabriel replied.
"And if he's not found, Felix will be the new king," The ambassador said.
"So be it," Gabriel said.
"The meeting is over. I expect a good coronation for the kingdom" The ambassador leaves with his merfolk.
Gabriel sighs in anger his son is missing.

It was night time and the city was filled with bioluminescence to create beauty in the darkness of the ocean. Cat Noir found Marinette's place in the city and he quietly swims near the window. So he taps on the glass to get her attention.
Marinette sees who it is and opens the window to let him inside, "Hey, kitty. Still can't find fish to eat again?"
"Yeah, I am, Princess" Cat Noir calls her by her pet name.
"Still calling me that again. You know I'm just a clumsy girl" Marinette said and gave him fish food.
"Come on. You would make a lovely queen on the throne. You are beautiful, kind, generous, and the best siren singer I have ever seen" Cat Noir flirted and purred close to her.
Marinette giggled feeling him vibrating while purring, "Thanks for how you describe me but this is reality, not a fairytale" Marinette said.
"The story has just begun, my princess" Cat Noir wrapped his fish tail around hers.
"What are you doing?" She blushed.
"Can't I give my princess some cuddles?" Cat Noir said.
"You always like to be petted too much" Marinette scratched his chin.
"I do" Cat Noir closed his eyes.
"How long have you been a stray?" Marinette asked.
"For quite some time," Cat Noir said.
"And you have a great singing voice like a teenager," Marinette said.
"Thank you, Princess" Cat Noir kissed her hand.
"Why don't you ever sign up for the singing competition?" Marinette asked.
"Maybe it would attract too many ladies. The only lady I would attract is you, my princess" Cat Noir purred.
"Ah, yeah. It was my singing that brought you here" Marinette said.
"And it was too beautiful" Cat Noir licked her cheek.
"Thank you, kitty cat" Marinette blushes.
"Now I must go, my princess. Ladybug and I have a date with saving the day as always tomorrow" Cat Noir said.
"Good luck, Kitty" Marinette watched him leave.

The next day in the underwater city, Marinette was playing with the sea turtles with Alya.
"This never gets old, Alya" Marinette danced around with one turtle.
"This is why Nino enjoys them too much" Alya chuckled.
"He enjoys a shell of a time" Marinette joked.
"Did Cat Noir teach you puns again?" Alya teased.
"Perhaps he has" Marinette giggled.
"Girl, he really is so into you" Alya pets the turtle.
"Yeah, he calls me a princess because of my singing and the way my balcony is placed at like a tower," Marinette said.
"I can see why" Alya replied.
"SHARK! SWIM AWAY!" The merpeople panicking that there's a Great White much bigger than a regular one.
"You know what to do, girl!" Alya swims away.
"Yes!" Marinette swam into a cavern to transform, "Tikki spots on!" She transformed into a ladybug-themed heroine with indigo fins. A mask appeared over her eyes as well.
She swam out of the cavern, hoping that her kitty shows up soon, "Okay time to deal with this shark problem!" She said as she followed the great white.
"Hey! Eyes on me, big boy! Follow the cat! Come on!" Cat Noir made his arm bleed to attract the shark.
"Cat Noir no!" Ladybug protested but the shark got his attention.
"That's right! Follow the kitty!" Cat Noir swam to the trap he set up.
They swam through the forest of jellyfish, causing the shark to get stung but it simply bites its way through.
It follows Cat Noir as he swam towards his trap at full speed, the trap was filled with spikes. At the last second Cat Noir moved aside and the shark got impaled on impact.
"YEAH!" Cat Noir cheered.
"Whoa! That was crazy, Kitty!" Ladybug swims to him.
"Hey, milady. This cat got himself a fish food" Cat Noir teased.
"Seriously! You gotta stop doing this to me!" Ladybug pounds her fist on his chest, "That was really stupid of you!"
"Yeah, but I can't resist your angry pout every time I got nine lives" He boops her nose.
"You better keep your lives before you waste them," Ladybug said.
"Come on. I'm always a good kitty" Cat Noir does his cute kitty eyes.
"Oh, who could stay mad at those eyes?" Ladybug petted him between his ears.
"Puuuuuurrrrrrrr" He purred.
"So cute" Ladybug giggled.
