The girls fingers danced on my fins calming me down after the whole tail fiasco. I closed my eyes fully relaxing and thrummed. I turned my head so she had better access to my earfin. I heard her mumble at me again so I tried to answer in the mer tongue again even though I knew she probably didn't understand. Don't understand. I went back to thrumming softly but I peeked at her face through one sapphire eye. Her face had twisted in confusion but she continued to rub my ear fin. I wondered if we could understand each other one day as she gurgled. Her fingers stopped rubbing me and I whimpered in displeasure. I knew she couldn't do that all the time but it felt so good I didn't want it to stop. She went back to talking with me male and I tuned them out looking at my tail. It was wrapped in something soft that much I could tell but they had wrapped it right on my wounds. It felt...pretty good actually. It felt better than it was before claw. It actually felt...cleaner I guess is the word for it like it had been washed and cleaned to help it heal. I gurgled and flipped over reaching towards the floor and sliding off the slab. I had to get back to the water somehow. The men that were holding me previously noticed I had slipped off and came towards me. I raised and rattled my dorsal fin baring my fangs and hissing loudly. If I was going to be held down again they thought wrong, and I proved it too. One of the more bolder men came to grab me and I sunk my fangs into his hand. His screams delighted me as they seemed to finally understand I will not put up with them touching and holding me. I crunched down on his fingers and heard something break. I let go of his hand after that challenging anyone else to come at me. I yelped as I felt someone pull my tail and lift me up. I growled and swung my claws at the person as he swung my tail over their shoulder and lifted me higher. It was unfortunate for him that I could now bite his leg which is exactly what I did. I bite it just as hard as I would have to bite a crab to open the shell. It cracked as well. I was dropped back down the floor and I started half slithering half dragging myself across the floor to try and find my way back to the water. I heard the men and the girl yelling but I ignored it and focused on trying to find a way to the water. I could smell it around here somewhere. I looked around sniffing the air trying to locate the water and I followed the scent. I followed it all the way to a wall. I snarled and pushed on the wall as it was in my way to get to the water and it gave way a little. I jumped back in surprise and growled at it as it swayed back at me and it swayed away. I stopped growling as it swayed away but then it swung back I hissed at it and swiped but it swung back away. This thing was challenging me! Everything clicked into place. The humans had placed this thing here to protect me from the water! I screamed issuing my challenged and tackled the wall only to find it had dodged and I had barreled into a new area I flared my fins unsure of what to do now and a little afraid. Heard the humans behind me and I twisted on them hissing at them to stay put. For once they listened and stayed where they were as I looked around. I had two directions I could go but which would lead me to water? I took a deep breath and flared my ear fins searching for the echoing splashes of water. I heard the human girl mumble, the humans breath, my own heart, splashing. I turned in the direction of the splashing. It was down the right path so I started slithering there. I followed the scent from there noticing that the humans were following me. I didn't at all mind since they were keeping a good distance away from me. What did mind was that the water was being kept by another wall. I growled knowing what I had do I flung myself at the wall but it didn't relent. This was a stronger opponent than the other wall. I screeched at it and searched for a weakness. It could be scratched but not broken by my weight, it wasn't intimidated easily but it did have this shinny orb on it. I bit it but it didn't give way as I let go of it though it twisted a bit. I smirked as I realized that that's what it's weakness was. I grabbed the orb with both hands and twisted throwing my weight on it and it gave way showing a large area nearly covered in water. I immediately slither into the water and dove into a rocky cave home at last.
