The Chosen One's Jedi Quest I: The Phantom Menace

Time-line: After the war on Naboo, but before Anakin is accepted as a Jedi
Synopsis: As they plan to destroy the blockade, Anakin Skywalker is given another chance, as he changes his past to fix the future. In starting from the day the Sith come to his home town now, he gradually makes changes. In leading into his evaluation for Jedi training, before recommending to Master Yoda, they clone his alter ego. Knowing with this, they succeeded in changing the prophecy, as they prepare for a new future.

Warnings: This story is going to use the theoretical from my other story, as the Jedi Quest novels. So the remarks in bold print and italic are Vader himself, Anakin is in basic not bold and italicized. So this are and will be as though Anakin and Vader are two separate beings now. As the Jedi, the Naboo and everyone in the galaxy, once he clones himself, know that Vader is a separate entity to Anakin's personality entirely.
With this chapter Anakin creates his twin brother, from his alter ego, creating his name, he's doing one side of it, and the other is the one on thin ice here. With his mother at the moment, before Qui-Gon arrives right now, as the story shifts courses. And he becomes the golden child of his friends, his family, Watto and the Hutts. And as well as the town locals, he was everything Ferus is in the Jedi temple now to them.
And as the Jedi see him as the Chosen One, but are training Anakin in secret here, as the lightsaber implication. Is Vader, and everything that involved the darkside was Vader, Anakin himself grows up to be the perfect Jedi padawan, as they all graduate 27 to 29. This chapter is going to leave out Anakin exchange with his mother, as those thoughts are Vader's, Anakin shows the maturity of a 25 year old from here as the weeks go by.
Chapter 1: Return Of The Jedi And Changing The Past
Watching his family celebrate the victory again the Empire, Anakin Skywalker, once the Sithlord Darth Vader, felt a white flash surround him, clearing his eyes. He looked down, and his hands, looking years younger then he remembered, and charged to the mirror in his bedroom. As he saw himself and he looked 36 years younger and smiled. "I'm 9 years old again, this means I can change the past and save my family right now, thank you Tahl." he said softly then to her.
"Mom, I'm for heading the shop now." he said and heard his mother's voice. "Alright Annie, see you tonight." she said and he nodded, as he left for work then. "Chut chut Watto, good morning." he said and his owner smiled gently at him. "I have a few errands to run, you have watch over the shop, till I get back, in 5 hours, Annie." he said and Anakin nodded to the orders gently, knowing that would give him ample time to gather supplies to create his lightsaber then.
"Watto, some of these scrap metals could be used to repair a lightsaber if our visitors are Jedi, you know mom's sister and her husband are Jedi turned moisture farmers." he said and he nodded. "What's their colors?" he asked and Anakin smiled. "Possibly like my future mentor and his soulmate, the next age group up, but hot pink near violet and sky blue, my grandfather. He's Orange, it runs in my family, so shot through generations." he said and the alien nodded then.
"If they prefer red, confiscate those crystals, all non force sensitives know only Sithlords and Dark Jedi use red, Jedi use green, blue or yellow. Although I heard from a Keganite, that they had two carrying sunrise orange and hot pink near violet, Annie." he said and Anakin nodded to the orders. "They must be stronger then the trio, but looks like pink and orange, and purple are the minority, there's hundred of the trio, but the quintet not so many." he said and he nodded.
As he flew out the door, and Anakin saw the right sized pieces of metal, and carefully pried open a few old pieces of technology, a few power cells and gathered 60 crystals. Enough to create 60 lightsabers, as he smiled, creating himself a twin brother, running himself an estimate of the cherry red crystals, he said ir gently counting to himself. "One, 2, 3, 4,…, you got to be kidding me, how many red crystals did we have in this stuff, Watto, we had over 75, in red here now."
"And 180 of the other 3 colors here!" he called out and he blew back in at that news then. "So there are 3 crystals to create a lightsaber, 180/3=60 per color right now." he said and Anakin nodded gently. "Yeah exactly, 60 blues, 60 greens and 60 yellows, but these are natural colors instead of the gems taking the color of what is inside your soul. In this case it comes by it naturally, but we're like Dantooine, we had every color in colors, including red here now."
"That's 20 blue, green and yellow, and what looks like 25 red ones." he said and Watto nodded sternly to the news. "I know your uncle is a Jedi, get them to your house, and tell your aunt and uncle, before we got a Dark Jedi or worse dropping in." he said and Anakin nodded as he bagged the crystals. "Well we got enough equipment here to create at least 85 lightsabers right now, while once I get that hyperdrive generator, we can make a killing off that." he said to him gently.
"Indeed, but now maybe a good time to stop gambling, before you lose everything here, Watto." they heard in response and he looked up at that remark then. "That's an understatement, but is it possible to create purple crystals?" he asked and the man dressed in an adult version to the Jedi tunic and pants nodded smiling gently. "If you intend to build one then yes, but Cin, Tolan and I are telling you to pay careful attention to constructing it." he said and Anakin nodded.
"Well Andy would rush the construction, and do that it would explode here, causing quite the mess with the crystals themselves." he said and Watto hid a chuckle at that. "Indeed, but if you built a protocol droid out of scraps, and you're working on a podracer. Also built from said, there's not a reason you can't do this to, you're more patient in training. Then your twin is right now, but that podracer is Jedi handicap." he said and Watto started laughing at that news then.
"Then you're letting everyone have a sum number in second headstart, before catching up, well that makes this more fun." he said and Anakin nodded, as they heard squeaking, before hearing through the squeaks. 'No, wait, don't get too close or you'll…' they heard as they heard a loud explosion and Anakin lowered his head. "Ody, get those guys under control, that keeps up it's blowing out the turbine next." he said as he started laughing and Watto nodded amused then.
"You couldn't have picked a better time then now to arrive Dave, good to see you, because we got company, they're close by, but we found enough to create 85 lightsabers here." he said and Davish, 'Dave' Starglider nodded. "Like he said, confiscate those, and bring them, if you get chosen for an interview with the council, bring those and the power cells to Yoda. Not a bribe, it's insurance, as they see you've learned enough from me to create it." he said and he nodded.
'Yeah Mace and Obi-wan, Master and Father would agree with my train of thought, confiscate the red ones, before we got a Sith dropping in. Don't worry Mace, Kit, Agen, Saesee, I'm never losing you or turning on you again, a few weeks and then back together now.' he thought gently to his mentor and the trio that were murdered along with the mentor dropping in soon enough. 'Father, Obi-wan, can you hear me?' he thought, not really expecting an answer, till he got one.
'Yes I can youngling, where are you, because we are enroute to Naboo right now, from the capitol.' he heard gently from his father mentor and smiled. 'I'm on Tatooine, the capital city spaceport of Mos Espa, my name is Anakin Skywalker, Master. But I think I found a clue here that the darkside is gearing up.' he said gently and then heard the mental voice of his mentor. 'What's going on Anakin, if you mentally commed us.' he said and he explained it.
'I found in my salvage, 255 crystals in 4 colors, the most here are red ones, totaling up to 25 lightsabers, the others are 20 each of the green, blue and yellow ones. In total, my owner has enough crystals, equipment, to create 85 lightsabers, also I sense here. The darkside is getting stronger, like we got an elusive evil gearing up to attack, but you come here. I'm telling you directly, as you meet me face to face Master, brother.' he said and he heard a stern tone then.
'Get those crystals and take them home, once we arrive, do I know any Jedi on your planet?" he asked and he said it. "I'm the nephew of Davish, Dave Starglider, his wife's younger sister is my mother, her name is Leia Skywalker. But the force runs strong in my family, but Leia is hot pink, near violet, my grandfather Jacen Skwalker is orange. So I think I'm your friend's color of purple." he said and felt a smile through the link as he answered him gently.
"Dave and Leia are my companion clan group, I knew they were farmers, so they're moisture farmers, alright. We're taking a fast detour, if the ship is damaged son, see you in a few weeks, may the force be with you." he said and Anakin nodded. 'And you as well Father, brother be careful, see you when you arrive.' he said and hung it up. "They're heading for Naboo, so if in need of repairs, they're coming here." he said and the duo nodded.
"Hey guys, we need to talk, so meeting at my house tonight please, I get the feeling we got two versions of company. Showing up, one good, one bad right now." he said and his friends and their parents nodded. "Our visitors are a Master/Padawan team, they're Jedi, the Master is staying with me, along with his protection duty." he explained and his friends nodded. "Well don't have much, but offer what we do have, hospitality." Shmi said and he nodded, smiling.
As they met up after dinner then. "What's going on, Annie?" Shmi, his mother asked and he explained that. "While working today in the yard, I had a vision of force sensitive visitors now, one dressed in black, the other dressed in the clothes of a farmer. The second is the one we have to make contact with, they belong to your sister's Order. Reps of the grandmaster, dropping in, they need our help, as they're on protection duty." he said to her then gently then.
"How do you intend to do this?" Watto asked and he explained that. "Until I get myself cloned, I'm pretending to be my twin, but I'm the older of the 2 of us. But of us, only I have the knowledge and know how, in how to create a lightsaber, as her big sister is a Jedi turned farmer." he said and he nodded. "So one twin accidentally wrecks the podracer, you, I send to handle bartering detail, then we got these visitors dropping in?" he asked and Anakin nodded.
"My twin wrecked the racer in the second half of the second lap, I was driving fine." he said and Watto nodded sternly. "He's crashed 6 times in 6 months, alright if they need a way to pay for the parts, you're the driver, you just became a padawan initiate. And he's never studied enough to actually learn patience and trusting your instincts here now with this." Dave said sternly and he nodded. "My podracer, it's time." he said and they both nodded in agreement then gently.
"You better see this." he said and they nodded, as he lead them outback and they saw it. "Yes indeed, may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts right now." Ceran Starstreamer said and he nodded. "Watto, you mind." he asked and held up the power cell and he shook his head, as he stuck it into the engine. And powered up, as the turbines activated and he crossed his arms. "Like I would say, he supplies the entry fee, I supply you." he said to him then gently.
"The symbol of the Jedi Order is a blue living sunrise now, so we use that now on the pod itself, but you're a padawan, no human can do this without getting killed. And the only ones that can are all one type, we learn to fly early, but this life suits you, Annie." Leia said smiling as she gripped his shoulders and he smiled. "I'm your star pupil Aunt Leia, Uncle Dave, your best student, I'm everything that embodies a padawan Jedi here." he said and she stroked his hair.
"You always were our golden child." Amee's father, Wilhelm Farcloud said and he nodded gently. "Sorry Watto, but I had to gather supplies to create said lightsabers." he said and he nodded. "It's alright, you take as many as you need, you always served me with grace and honesty right now, but you did half the race and made it to the halfway point, An…?" he started to say and they nodded. "Andy, Andrus Darian Vandel, nickname of Andy." he said and they nodded then.
"Andy took over, and he crashes it, you have to be the one to repair it, while at the same time, are doing the bartering for me. And gather a few pieces to help our visitors now, once they get here, well we know how powerful our visitor is. But hopefully they do nothing stupid in town and run afoul of Sebulba." he said and Anakin nodded in agreement. "Our first is black cloaked, he's dangerous, but mom, I need some training by Uncle Dave." he said and she nodded gently.
"Okay, Watto, he's working the shop from after lunch to 1600hrs, but morning training with with his uncle everyday now." She said and he nodded gently to her. "Everyone in town knows I'm a padawan initiate, but whatever prophecy was created. It's connected to the future of our family now, and the details, from the Master duo's eyes are pretty vague. So if they can give me a description, I can unlock it." he said and she and her sister Leia Starglider both nodded then.
"What do these sound like if a circuit gets crossed, Leia?" Shmi asked her and her husband nodded with a bemused smile. "It sounds like a blaster going off right now, as the chosen focusing crystals explode, leaving whatever colored pebbles there on the bedroom floor." he said and she nodded with a bemused smile. "If you hear a droning coming from it now, get clear, and before the power cell explodes, Annie." she said gently to him and he nodded to the orders.
As they prepared to have their Jedi visitors drop in. "Master, I'm just going to be working over time here, but you find me at shop at 1630 hours. I'm working from noon till 5, but the Jawas sell engine parts, once I find what you need. And if ship is damaged, I can repair it, but my shop is owned by a toydarian named Watto, we all live in Mos Espa. Capitol city of Tatooine, once in range, I'm going to tell Jabba, we got you arriving, I'm your guide." he said gently to him then.
"Qui-Gon, you read me." Dave said, activating his communicator. "Yes loud and clear Dave, good to see you again, you as well, Leia, hello padawan. Nice to meet you, I am Qui-Gon Jinn, this is my padawan Obi-wan Kenobi." he said smiling and he smiled gently. "Nice to meet you too Master, Obi-wan, I look forward to meeting you both in person." he said and they smiled. "You will, you just train, and we will see you soon." Obi-wan said to him.
"Once we do this, but I know you're just doing that in faking the last crash, Anakin, because this last one means getting the equipment. But she doesn't realize you're a padawan in training, but your rival is getting the shock of a lifetime. When he sees what you become after only 3 weeks now, but way of the apprentice. This means not showing violence, brother." he said and Anakin nodded to him, smiling gently at his image.
"To hide my signature, I been crashing on purpose, it won't be till you get here I reveal my skills now brother, after 6 weeks training." he said and he nodded. "Once we get there, I want to see that podracer, because we got a chance, you're a padawan. And at times even we Jedi have to gamble, to get ourselves out of trouble. As my Master's friend's daughter used her culinary skills to get us out of a bind." he said and Anakin nodded gently to him.
"Well new addition to the team, but team trios, Father, I'm your youngest, you chose me directly after this talk and meeting. As there are things I know on your team nobody else does, but as for politicians, I agree with you, if our queen becomes the senator. Only she and her committee can be trusted the new elect and the bureaucrats can not." he said and the man smiled gently at that. "I know and agreed, we learned that with Belasco." he said and Anakin nodded.
"Is that connected to your remark on cooking your way out of trouble?" he asked and his brother nodded. "Yes long story and I can tell you enroute to the capitol, if we need to make an emergency landing on your planet." he said and they nodded. "The spaceport coordinates are 22,45, south, 23, 56 by south-southeast, we're the capitol city of Tatooine. Our planet is run by Jabba the hutt." Shmi said and he nodded smiling gently to the news gently.
"Watto, I understand here, but I'm going to have to consider a gamble here with the queen's ship, only she's not considering. That a month's worth of training unlocked Anakin's potential." he said and Watto nodded. "I realize that Master Jedi, but you supply the entry fee, I supply the pod and Annie, and we split the winnings 50/50. Minus the cost to the parts you will need, to get them off the planet, and him with them." he said and he nodded.
"Fair deal, I agree to that, Anakin train hard, I will see you soon, may the force be with you." he said and Anakin bowed. "You as well Master, Obi-wan, may the force with you, see you soon." he said and they nodded as they hung it up. "Alright training starts in the morning, from 7 to mid day, and mid day to sundown you are at the shop." Dave said and he nodded, as he prepared for training, knowing that with it being this hot, he had to be careful…
The Next Damaged Pod, Creating The Lightsaber-Anakin's POV:
It was the following week after another blown race, he stood there with his mother, pretending to be his twin. "Do you any idea of how much this will cost me, boy do you." he said sternly and as he pretended to his twin Andy then. "It wasn't my fault, Sebulba flashed me with his vents, he cheated!" he said and Watto nodded sternly. "Of course he cheats, he always cheats, that's how he wins, maybe you should try to every now and again, maybe then you wouldn't."
"In truth, keep crashing your podracer time after time and cost me so much money, your brother is more careful, but I should stop letting you swap turns, I should just leave it to Annie. Before you crash one more time and put yourself into a need for a healer." he said sternly to him and he felt a flinch inside him at the recrimination, and jolt of jealousy. "It's always Annie, Annie this, Annie that, why is he so popular!' he felt through a haze of jealousy at that.
"I'll repair it Watto, it's my job in truth here." Anakin said and he smiled in affection then. "Yes I know Annie, you are good boy, I want you to see what parts are needed to be replaced. So if necessary, you take it with you, if we got company, and repair it under their supervision. We use your's and you are my pilot for the Boonta Eve now." he said and Anakin nodded gently. "Mom, it's okay, I can do this, now that my force skills are unlocked." he said and she nodded smiling.
"Uncle Dave said, just apply the force to my piloting, use my instincts, and it's worked so far, but every time we switch positions, it's resulting in this. I think it's time I followed through on the entire race, as the announcer said, slightly out of my mind. If Sebulba latches on, but it's because I'm waiting till the right minute to put the speed on, before he kills us both." he said and she nodded with a bemused smile, as he nodded smiling, as she said it for both of them.
"You be careful Annie, one too many crashes in the last year alone, I know you're doing that on purpose, so any that carry a red lightsaber don't know the tremendous power you carry." she said and then he said it then. "But I should stop letting you race for me, Andrus, I should leave it to Annie, or I should find another driver." Watto said and he felt a jolt of pain at that, knowing his twin felt rejected at that, simply because he never learned to apply the force to his piloting.
"I think this is a very good idea, Anakin should be the only one raising right now, he's a Jedi padawan, he can use the force, but Andy never unlocked his own powers. So only Annie, as for this, we're close, but the only way to make this work, as Dave said, stop gambling. Before you lose everything, but you supply the podracer and Anakin, he supplies the entry fee." she said and he nodded. "Agreed, I will do that, and thank you, Shmi." he said and she nodded gently.
"Almost dark, so you have work to do, but after checking what supplies are needed now, you head home Annie, and you, Andrus, clean up the yard. But you are forbidden from podracing for me as of now." he said and he felt his alter ego nod sadly. "Mom, I have to check the fields, because we got the Raiders coming too close again." he said and she nodded. "Very well, I want you home at 1800." she said and he nodded as he walked into the yard to check the racer then.
"Jeesh Andy, you're getting too darn reckless, that stunt resulted in another crash, alright that's enough of this already, from now on, I'm doing the piloting." he said and then switched voices then. "You, why you exactly, we're totally equal in everything." he said and Anakin crossed his arms. "Yes but you don't have the training to utilize the force, to pilot, but you're beyond hot tempered and quick to anger, clear head and control your emotions here."
"You want to get a good report and evaluation with the council, don't you, then control your emotions, discipline your mind." he said as he took apart the racer to check the damage and sighed. "Thermal veristats and thruster relays, coolant pipes, blast it, alright I got to trade for those or I can…, Watto!" he called out and he came outside. "There are three parts in the racer you don't carry, I can fix that and take it with me, we use mine." he said and Watto nodded.
"So when you get chosen to meet the council, you fix and update it for me, as you sell your pod and if he sells it to Sebulba, lesson is piloting cleanly?" he asked and Anakin nodded gently then. "I'm giving up podracing at 15 years old to focus on my training now, but it's time, mom's right, once I repair it, if you need me to pilot every now and again. I will, but I need to focus on my training and my future." he said to him gently and Watto nodded gently in understanding then.
"I understand Annie, you been my very best pilot, and I will miss you alot, but your destiny is padawan, being a Jedi." he said and he nodded. "That's it exactly, but I can fix this, and you use mine in the race a few weeks, the Harvester is the big one. But we're shutting them all down all at once now, before we get another raid now. But this should do it now, but we got work to do, before this results in a blow back right now." he said and he nodded gently to that remark.
As he left them and he sat there working as he looked around to make sure nobody was watching and pulled out the pieces to create his new lightsaber as he went into a trance. Before seeing it happen again then, as he saw the Zabrak that killed his father. 'Why do you resist your anger, your hate at me, you know you want to.' he asked and he said it sternly. 'I don't want power, I want knowledge, I learned my lesson, you will be destroyed finally.'
'I am a Jedi, like my father, my brother, before me, but I am Jedi, strength over fear, peace over anger, honor over hate. There must be both dark and light, I will do what I must to keep the balance, as the balance is what holds all life. There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish, there is passion, yet peace. Serenity, yet emotion, chaos, yet order, I am a wielder of the flame; a champion of balance, I am a guardian of life, I am a Gray Jedi.'
'A Grey Jedi, you have failed your highness, I am a Jedi, like my family before me.' he said sternly, before he opened his eyes, and saw his lightsaber completely, turning it on. And he saw light purple, the color of amethyst. 'Purple, I'm a purple, I passed the test, I am a Master Guardian now, don't worry Master, I will not fail you again, I swear.' he thought gently, as, on Coruscant, the Grandmaster, Master Yoda, felt a pulse, and probed it, and got a gentle response.
"Meet soon we will Padawan, I promise, and very powerful Jedi, will you be." he said gently and his counterpart nodded. "I think if you felt that, then our young protege just created his lightsaber, but he's a baby, with so much to learn, Master Yoda." Jedi Master Mace Windu said and he nodded. "Very powerful Jedi he is, very strong in the living force, but carrying a shadow of pain in him, like failed us he had, in another life." he said and they nodded in agreement.
"Master, I think that maybe Jacen's grandson, if he's that strong." Jedi Master Depa Billaba said and he nodded. "If indeed he is, then Leia and Davish trained him themselves." he said and Mace nodded in agreement. "So baby got creche training, but wherever he grew up, is too hot or too cold right now and he needs a temperate climate. Well looks like he gained the training our currents learn at becoming full time padawans." Jedi Master Ki Adi Mundi said and he nodded.
"Or worse, his mind from sum years into the future, that which used to be a Jedi turned Sith, turned Jedi is back in his youngling body, meaning. That we got to review his training and fix it all, but he connected to Qui', now and we got a correct match. If the link slammed into place between himself and Obi-wan." Mace said and he nodded. "I think will it does, but if answered the mental, they did, then full in their team, Adi, color definition." he said and she nodded then.
"Agreed, if he's a just returned from the darkside, then we help him, and heal the damage done by the darkside, we just wait for him to come to us. If he's along the route when the Jinn/Kenobi team is on mission." Jedi Master Gallia said and Mace nodded in agreement. "Son what color are you." he said softly and then saw it, as he saw light purple. "He's a cub me, light purple, he's like us, Adi, us, Leia and Siri." he said and she smiled. "It's okay baby." she said and he smiled.
"Don't worry, you're not alone son, if you're our new one, we can handle this easily right now with you, but we can adjust to a couple of your skills. But there's a limit here, but going below the sun barrier is forbidden now, if you're a racer. We grant you only 2 racers, after that you're retired and and you control your other hobby, okay." he said and they got an affirmative jolt and Yoda nodded in approval then. "See you soon we will, padawan." he said and he felt a jolt then.
Back on Tatooine, Anakin nodded smiling at the reveal, knowing though they never met him yet, they accepted him immediately as one of them. 'Okay I get the harvester and the Galactic games and after that I'm retired and I can scavenge the equipment to restock the lab. They figured it out, I'm a just returned Jedi turned Sith padawan, and need severe therapy now. There we go right now, alright I got work to do right now." he said gently to himself at that…
Andy's lightsaber And Bartering-Anakin's POV:
After getting his right on the first try, he pretended to be Andy then, as he sped up the creation, before he heard a droning. "Oh my god, the crystals are out of focus, Andy get out of the way." he shouted as he quickly backed up 30 feet and covered his head, as the lightsaber exploded, looking at the mess on the floor, he nodded. "Jeez Andy you out of your mind, Uncle Dave said not to speed up working on it." he shouted sternly as he checked it then, and dumped it out.
As he saw cherry red crystals shards slide out. "Did you steal the crystals I was going to get for Master Yoda, this is not Jedi behavior!" he said sternly and he swallowed hard as Shmi walked in then. "He tried to imitate me in building one mom, but the flux aperture was out of focus with the power cell and went off, he stole the red crystals I was going to give Master Yoda." he said and she nodded sternly at the news. "You are so lucky, young man." she said and they said it.
"Young man, I absolutely forbid you from doing this again, it takes years, of patience and understanding, maturity to get it right on the first try. But you don't have his training, he's more skilled, but after you decided to skip out on doing your assigned task. I'm not thinking twice on this, you're on restriction till further notice, you go to that shop, you come home. No racing, no fooling around, you can waste time with your friends once your chores are done, Andrus."
"Now clean this up right now." she said sternly, and he felt a jolt of pain at her remark, as his alter ego looked down then, and nodded as he got to work then in cleaning up. "Watto has me doing an errand for him tomorrow, bartering for some stuff right now. So I'll be back before sundown." he said and she nodded. "Take the lightsaber with you baby." she said and he nodded as he finished in helping clean up the table, and then putting everything used away then.
The next morning Watto gave him a mix of credits and goods then. "I want the best, but be careful they could take you for a fool and leave us with something worthless. I want you back, before sundown." he said and Anakin nodded gently to him as he loaded it into his speeder and flew to the meeting site, as he went over what he knew then as he said it to him. "Ikee am Ai padawan, Hliw carefuw Hliw, Da not lie, Ikee Uwanna Tiwih best, and Ikee am offering Tadriwi."
"So show Mikee Wauh Juwi Uiuokka." he said gently, but sternly and he lead a few droids out, and then he saw the hyperdrive generator. And nodded as he said it to him. "Ikee will take these 5 droids, Tiwih hyperdriviwi generator, and Tiwih refrigerati'on system. but they better Ibee Ut good condition, Ikee know Juwi Akriwi tricksters. But try Yua push something on Mikee. and Ikee doubt my father will take Ut well, when my son and Ikee Akriwi living Uik'wanna my brother."
"Ut sun years." he said and he nodded and gave several squeaks. "Sum Toineepiwi for these items Ut bartering, Ikee offer Huist amount, but Huist ikees plenty, so Mob un loo." he said and the jawa leader nodded as he gave the amount and he paid him. As he organized them behind the speeder then, before taking a detour then carefully. As he saw the raider that he helped, and set his leg then, before seeing 10 more arrive and he turned on his lightsaber then gently.
"I am a Jedi cub, me carry colored wand, but wand dangerous." he said, cutting a rock in half and they gave scared screeches. "No want to be cut, leave me, but grow from cub, into adult Jedi wizard, with me wand, me trained, so no dangerous movement." he said and they nodded as he kept the wand up and they gave him a wide berth, as he headed for the speeder. And flew back to the shop and Watto flew out then gently as he saw the haul and smiled gently.
"Nicely done Annie, this is plenty right now." he said and Anakin nodded smiling as they settled in and waited for the team and Padme to arrive then…..
The Flight to Tatooine And Need Of Repairs- A Week Later-Anakin/Qui-Gon's POV:
"There's not enough power to get us to Coruscant, the hyperdrive is leaking.." the pilot, Ric Olie said and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn nodded. "Master, Anakin." His padawan Obi-wan Kenobi said and he nodded. "Captain, I made contact with my cub padawan Annie Skywalker, so that's we're headed, he's a mechanic and pilot, so with that. We'll have to land somewhere to refuel and repair the ship." he said and Captain Dack Quarsh Panaka nodded gently to that opinion then.
"How old is he?" Lieutenant Leia Dejanna said and he smiled. "No older then the handmaidens, he's from the sound of his voice, no older then 10." he said and they nodded. "If he's willing to help us, we can help him." a handmaiden said and Qui-Gon nodded. "Here, Master: Tatooine, it's small, out of the way, poor, and Trade Federation have no presence there." Obi-wan said and he moved to him. 'Annie, you said Tatooine, correct?' he said and heard a gentle tone to them.
'Yeah Father, Tatooine, settlement of Mos Espa, that's the capitol, my shop is run by a toydarian, just head in my direction once you get here. My uncle has been training me the last month, since I commed you guys, Father, brother. Oh, before I forget, I got a visitors pass here for you guys, the Hutt in charge, his name is Jabba. He has placed me as your personal guide while you're here, you're safe.' he said and they both nodded.
"How can you be sure?" Panaka asked him gently and he said it. "It's controlled by the Hutts." he said and he said it in shock. "You can't take Her Royal Highness there!, The Hutts are gangsters…, if they discovered her..." he started to say and he said it. "Anakin got it covered already, the head Hutt covering the planet gave us a visitors pass. And Anakin is our personal guide for the duration, he's willing to help us." Obi-wan said and Qui-Gon finished that firmly.
"It'd be no different than landing on a system controlled by the Federation, except that the Hutts aren't looking for her, which gives us the advantage." he said and they nodded, sighing. "Your padawan is a local of Tatooine, and arranged everything for us, so safe passage to Tatooine. He's our personal guide, when scouting out his spaceport?" Panaka asked and he nodded to him. "He is, but he's coming back with us, but he's a Padawan in everything that counts, but I am now."
"Saying this, if Jar Jar comes along with me, keep your head down, don't draw attention to yourselves, we're trying too keep a low profile." he said and Panaka nodded sternly, as they went to a meeting with the queen. "Baby brother, we're coming to you, after we finalize it with the queen." Obi-wan said and got a jolt of acknowledgement, as Qui-Gon smiled at his title for Anakin, knowing the older boy, was slowly growing attached to his younger students then.
"An extremely well-put-together little droid, Your Highness, without a doubt, it saved the ship, as well as our lives." he said and she nodded. "It is to be commended, what is its number?" she asked and Artoo Detoo beeped to her gently at that. "R2-D2, Your Highness." he said and she nodded smiling. "Thank you, R2-D2." she said and she said it gently. "Padme." she said and she came forward, as the true queen stepped forward, as she pretended to be a handmaiden.
"Clean this droid up as best you can, it deserves our gratitude." she said and Padme Naberrie nodded gently to her. "Continue, Captain." she said and he sighed and looked at Qui-Gon then. "Your Highness, with your permission..., we're heading for a remote planet called Tatooine, but we are picking my youngest padawan, he's a youngling, there now. And he is coming with us, it's in a system far beyond the reach of the Trade Federation." he said and she nodded gently.
"He's a youngling padawan, no older than 10, but his powers are very strong, his family are friends of mine, are moisture farmers, in the maternal side. But he has intel necessary to find out who Gunray is in league with." he said and she nodded in understanding. 'I feel like this boy is my future, I will allow that now, but I have to meet him, I'm going with him now.' Padme thought, knowing this boy would be her best friend and protected throughout the mission then.
"Has he learned to fight?" her bodyguard asked and before he could answer that, he heard his response. 'I'm very good at telekinesis currently, but I need lightsaber training, been at it 3 weeks and I just created my lightsaber. But I'm a purple, like Master Windu, we had a blow back and my twin destroyed his own lightsaber. Last week, but he's in serious trouble with mom right now, after talking to strangers.' he heard and hid a nod.
"He's learned everything else, but he's taking lightsaber training to and from the Capitol, but I made a promise to his mother, he's my responsibility." he told her and she nodded in understanding. "Fair enough, if they allow him to be trained, we can pass the time away, before we figure out a plan to deal with the federation." she said and he nodded. "I do not agree with the Jedi on this." Panaka said in resignation and Qui-Gon said it gently to that remark then.
"You must trust my judgment, Your Highness, if we are to discover the identity of who Gunray is in league, we must go pick up my student, as he makes repairs." he said and she nodded. "Then we shall go to Tatooine, and meet your student, this is finished." she said and he nodded, as that finalized it, it was 6 hours later they arrived. "That's it..., Tatooine." Ric said to Obi-wan then. "Anakin you read me, we're right above you." he said and they heard a preteen voice.
"Yeah loud and clear Obi-wan, just trace my signature, but there are 50 settlements scattered around the planet, mine is the one you're right above here. Jabba alerted the towers, you're granted approval to land, all I said was your protection duty. But not of who here." he said and Ric nodded in relief. "Great, that's the break we need, they don't know you're protection of royalty and her entourage right now." Ric said to that news then.
"Captain, once I invite them to stay with me for a few days, just park in the backlot behind my house, okay, but whatever Father said. I'm saying it again, do not, I repeat do not, draw attention to yourselves here, we got a few nasty characters. My rival, in podrace piloting, is an especially dangerous Dug called Sebulba, so tell whoever it is. Keep his head down here, before he runs afoul of him or his followers here now."
"They know you're Jedi, Father, but best not go for the aggressive approach." they heard sternly and he nodded "Agreed right now, so there's the settlements, Mos Espa, Mos Eisley, Anchorhead, Bestine Township. He said Mos Espa, we land there, but park the ship, after he invites you to stay with him outside his house. If there is big enough clearing, we can meet his friends, his life, before we came into it." Obi-wan said and Qui-Gon nodded in agreement.
"Land near the outskirts, we don't want to attract attention." he said and Ric nodded gently, as they parked on the edge of the city then, before Obi-wan investigated the damage and Qui-Gon changed clothes then. "The hyperdrive generator's gone, Master: We'll need a new one." he said and Qui-Gon nodded gently. "That'll complicate things slightly, unless Annie has an idea for that right now, but be wary: I sense a disturbance in the Force." he said and Obi-wan nodded then.
"Indeed I feel it also, Master, this is what I meant, elusive evil, he's sensing that himself right now." he said and Qui-Gon nodded in agreement. "Don't let them send any transmissions." he said and Obi-wan nodded gently as he headed for the city then. "The sun doen murder to mesa skin." Jar Jar said and he hid a smile then. "Wait! Wait." Panaka called out and he turned. "Her Highness commands you to take her handmaiden with you." he said and Qui-Gon sighed then.
"No more commands from Her Highness today, Captain, the spaceport is not going to be pleasant." he said and Panaka said it emphatically to him. "The queen wishes it, she's curious about the planet." he said and Qui-Gon sighed then gently. "This is not a good idea, young lady, stay close to me." he said to her then and she nodded. "Moisture farms, for the most part, there's a case of slavery here, that brings in most of the money right now that generate it."
"The planet's wealth, but gambling here revolves around podracing now, some indigenous tribes and scavengers. The few spaceports like this one..., said are havens for those that don't wish to be found." he explained gently and he saw several people wave and he nodded. "Excuse me, where is Watto's shop?" he asked and they pointed at one at the far left. "Mid afternoon, Annie's getting off at 1700 hours, Master Jinn." a 9 year old said and he nodded smiling gently at that.
"We're right, you are the Jedi Master?" his companion asked gently and he nodded. "I am, I'm on protection of these three people and their companions." he said and they nodded. "Watto, you got customers!" a young woman no older then his daughter, Lana Chion called into the hut and he nodded. "Thank you Claree, I will handle this, and good day to you, what do you want?" he asked and he said it gently. "I need parts for a J-type 327 Nubian." he said to him gently.
"Ah, yes! Nubian: We have lots of that, so am I to assume you are Master…?" he started to say and Qui-Gon nodded to him. "Annie, get in here now, he's here!" he called out and Qui-Gon nodded, knowing that meant the boy was getting ready to meet him, Obi-wan and his charges. "My droid has a readout of what I need." he said as a boy of going on 10, with golden brown hair and sky blue eyes came in, and bowed to Qui-Gon and he smiled gently to him at that.
"What took you so long?" Watto asked him and Anakin nodded. "Sorry Watto, I was cleaning the fan switches, hello Father, nice to meet you in person now." he said and Qui-Gon smiled at the reveal. "Miss, I know what the problem is, but considering republics credits are no good out here, there is a way to get the supplies for your ship." he said and she nodded. "I know I'm not going to like this suggestion, but…." she asked and he nodded as Qui-Gon smiled gently at her.
"I race for it, he knows, I been training for the last month and created my lightsaber, but I found the supplies necessary to fix your ship, I can race, but nothing to worry about, my twin crashed one too many times, I'm doing the piloting now." he said and she nodded. "To phrase that is you supply the entry fee, Watto supplies me and the podracer, and the winnings are split. Minus the costs for said parts needed." he said and she nodded. "Fair deal." she said and he smiled at her.
"Before you consider this, I understand your fears, but the bigger pay off, everyone betting on Sebulba is about to get their heads handed to them, why exactly. Is because now that I'm completely open to the force, I can do this without crashing, if Sebulba tries to sabotage us." he said and she nodded gently. "Hey Angel, nice to meet you." he said and she smiled at the nickname. "You as well Annie, it's nice to meet you too." she said Qui-Gon hid a chuckle then.
"My full name is Anakin Skywalker, but everyone calls me Annie." he said and she nodded smiling. "I'm Padme Naberrie, nice to meet you Anakin." she said smiling gently, and he smiled as he looked into her eyes. "And nice try, I know who you are, but I don't mind at all, but we're the beginning in a new tradition, once we're adult ourselves no older. Now then my brother, but you with the blaster, me with the lightsaber." he said and she smiled and looked down then.
"The queen is curious about the planet, you are the…" Qui-Gon said and she nodded. "Thank you for telling me that, before further reveals." he said to her gently at that. "I knew we have a few married Jedi, but you and me make number 6 now Angel, in truth here at the moment. Once I tell the council, they won't mind, we are allowed to love, but we alert them first. But starting a family, our children are beyond powerful." he said and she nodded and Qui-Gon smiled then.
"Obi-wan are you hearing this, because I think once Master changes the code, you become the Skywalker heirs godparents." he said and they heard an amused smile. "Yes Master I did, but his telling me first, being his mentor I don't mind, but me his mentor, you his parental. I'm part of the family, the cubs have me there all their life." he said and she chuckled, knowing he was right. 'Yeah my destiny, he's my Annie.' she thought to that smiling gently then.
"Angel, that's my new nickname with Annie now, so I'm his angel." she said and he chuckled at that remark, as he looked between them smiling. 'Oh boy, Anakin is head over heels in love with her, she belongs to him now, yes okay, just listen to his feelings. They never steer him wrong, he needs a good mentor, he's my padawan right now, now and forever.' he thought smiling in affection, knowing once they were young adults it went further, as he said it gently to her then.
"Young lady stay in here, Annie's going to protect you, so stay close, and Jar Jar, don't touch anything, Annie, stay with them and keep an eye on him, before he trashes the shop." he said and Anakin nodded as they hid a laugh at that. "Obi-wan, park the ship outside his house, when he brings us there." he said and they heard his voice say it gently. "Yes Master, we are ready." he said and Anakin nodded. "It's close to head home." he said and they nodded then.
"I'm in training from 0700 to 1200, and then here from 1200 to 1700 hours, because it's close right now, but from the feel outside, we got a sandstorm coming on. That we need to have you get to my place, before it arrives all at once." he said and they both nodded. "Had another crash and we tested the engines on my back up right now, but Watto, you know I'm a Jedi. So there's your payoff, you know the engines are a Jedi handicap." he said and Padme started laughing.
"Your mother said to stop gambling in my case Annie, what are you suggesting, you're betting everyone, I normally do that with, you can free all three of you on this race. As your mother is now my employee instead of servant?" he asked and Anakin nodded. "And they think Sebulba is going to win, and instead you bet so highly on me, that there we go now. As the amount itself frees all three of us all at once, and mom is your new employee." he said and Watto nodded.
"Beep de beep." Artoo said with an amused tone. "Yeah point taken, but I get the idea, you give everyone a headstart then catch up, makes the race more fun." she said smiling and Watto nodded in agreement. "Send your twin home, because you're staying with me, while we finalize this." he said and Anakin nodded. "Andy head for home, I'm staying late." he called out as he walked out and she saw another boy. "Got it Annie." he said and he and Anakin walked out.
Before Anakin came back in. "Our visitor prior to you was dressed in black, golden yellow eyes, practically red." he said and Qui-Gon nodded sternly. "See a lightsaber, before you warned him off." he asked and Anakin nodded. "Yeah, blood red, they're back." he said and Qui-Gon nodded sternly. "I've got some selling to do, so, let me take thee out back, huh? We'll find what you need." he said and Artoo and Qui-Gon followed him outside then gently at that remark then.
"How long have you been here?" she asked and he explained that to her then. "Since I was very little, by that I mean 2 or 3, I think, but my mother, twin and I were sold to Gardulla the Hutt..., but she lost us betting on the Podraces." he explained and she nodded. "You're a slave?" she said and he nodded. "Yeah and be thankful you never said that to Andy, he's far more sensitive to this then I am right now." he said and she nodded in understanding as he explained it to her.
"But I'm being blunt here with this right now, but every new day for a slave, is another day to die, because we have transmitters in our bodies, any attempt to escape. And they will kill you right now, but the republic doesn't exist out here, we survive on our own." he said and she nodded in understanding, at the more understanding tone to her concern and confusion. Before she could answer, he turned and saw he activated a pit droid, and it was trashing the room.
"I got ya." Jar-Jar said to it, as he got him around the neck "Hey." he said to him and he looked at him as it kicked him in the crotch then. "Hit him in the nose." he said and he nodded as he tapped the nose and it went back to being loading position. "Annie, what is going on in there!" Watto called out in Huttese and he shouted back to him. " The Gungun activated the pit droid, and made a slight mess, I got to clean up in here!" he called back and knew he nodded gently.
"Good lord, Annie really did a number out here, if he was scavenging crystals and parts for those lightsabers, if he said he found enough for 85 lightsabers." Qui-Gon said and he nodded seeing the piles set into two parts, and then saw a mountain of power cells. Crystals and other parts for lightsabers, in case a Jedi dropped in then. "Indeed I know, I never had a better servant in seeing the value a Jedi needs now, so T-14 hyperdrive generator." Watto said and he nodded.
"Thee in luck, I'm the only one hereabouts who has one, but thee might as well buy a new ship, it would be cheaper, I think, huh. Saying of which... how's thee gonna pay for all this, huh?" he asked and he nodded. "With the fact he said my currency is not worth anything here, we go to his idea." he said and Watto nodded gently. "The prize money will more then pay for the parts you will need now, and my gambling heavily on Annie, will insure this even further now."
"That my business never goes bankrupt, so we do it this way, and you have a deal." he said and Qui-Gon nodded. "Wouldn't have lasted long anyways if I wasn't so good at building things." he said and she nodded smiling then, as they arrived in time to hear that. "You're that good in repair work and building things?" She asked him and he nodded. "Yeah, my lightsaber was built out of spare parts and home made crystals, works as well as the natural ones here right now."
"I created my podracer out of spare parts and the family protocol droid with it, but I better warn you here, Selbulba is a dangerous cheater. So the race is going to get hectic right now." he said as they heard an explosion. "What the force was that?" she asked and he nodded. "Ody's pit droid got in range of the engines again, and got sucked into it." he said and she started laughing at that. "Expect to hear that again at the race." he said and she nodded smiling gently at that.
"And that I understand right now, we're going to the deal, tonight, so we do this first thing in the morning, in us offering our entry fee." she said and he nodded as Qui-Gon walked in, with Watto right behind him then. "I heard an explosion, what was that exactly?" he asked and he smiled. "One of my fellow racers, his pit droid walked in front of the engine, and got sucked into the turbine, expect to hear that at the race." he said and Qui-Gon nodded with a chuckle.
To translate the Jawa language with that first sentence is 1) I am A padawan, Now careful Now, Do not lie, I Want The best, and I am offering Trade. 2) is I will take these 5 droids, The hyperdrive generator, and The refrigeration system. but they better Be It good condition, I know You Are tricksters. But try To push something on Me. and I doubt my father will take It well, when my son and I Are living with my brother.
