"Katherine! Finish setting the table then come help me with the cookies! I have to finish stuffing the turkey!" Angela yelled to her daughter in the other room. It was Thanksgiving, which was always spent at the Hodgins house, while Christmas was at the Booth residence.
"Almost done mom!" she yelled back. "Hey Michael," she said turning to her brother, "Can you put the names? You know who wants to sit by who." And she left to go help her mother.
Michael carefully placed them around the table. He put Lily at the end of the table, then Parker, Uncle Booth, Aunt Brennan, his mom, Annie, his dad, his grandpa Billy, Holly and Will, Kathy and Max, then him and Christine. Since the table was a rectangle, Christine would be across from Lily, he would be across from Parker, and so on.
"Michael! Will! Kathy! Are you guys ready? It's almost 5:30." Hodgins asks his oldest 3 kids.
"Yea we're ready." Will told his father.
Then the doorbell rang. Michael walked over and opened it, to see the whole Booth family standing there.
"Hey Michael." Christine said to him, with a hug as she walked in. He said hi to her, and the rest of the family, and they all went inside.
He talked a little with Parker, mostly him warning Michael to be good to his little sister, while they were waiting for Billy. Once he arrived, they all took their seats at the table.
"Hey." Christine giggled as she sat down next to her boyfriend.
"Hey. Haven't seen you since, wow, yesterday." Michael said to his girlfriend, taking her hand in his.
"So long." Christine responded.
"Ok, well, I guess I'll started." Angela said. "Well, I have to give thanks for another great year. We are all healthy and happy. We still have our jobs and we have each other. My beautiful kids are growing up so quickly. And my wonderful husband is still here at my side through anything and everything."
And so down the line it went, everyone giving thanks for what they had. Finally it got to Michael.
"I wanna give thanks for all of us here, and the fact that we are here. That we are all healthy and happy with what we have, which is more than what we need. And for Christine, for being more than just my best friend, but my girlfriend."
It was Christine turn. "Um well, I have to thank my parents for putting up with me for another year, and my siblings, for not annoying me to death. And everyone else here for being in my life and I know that I can go to you for anything I need. And especially for Michael. We've always been friends, since we were born, we've been together, but now it's in a new way. I'm thankful for having my best friend be my boyfriend."
The line continued, and once it was done, they dug into their food. Once they were done, the kids went to play and hang out outside and in the rooms, while the adults stayed in the kitchen to talk.
Michael and Christine went to his room. "I loved what you said about being thankful for me." Christine told her boyfriend.
"It's true. I love being with you. I love you." He said. It melted her heart when he got all romantic like this. They were sitting on the floor laying their backs on the frame of the bed.
"I love you too. When I realized that I liked you, it wasn't just, that I liked you. I realized that I loved you. Love is a strong word, yet I'm completely confortable using it with you." She told him.
"I realized I loved you years ago. But, you were dating other guys and weren't really into me. I'm glad you are now." He smiled, getting slowly closer to her.
"I am too. I can't believe I was so oblivious to the best person in the world." They were both now leaning in. They pause slightly, looking deeply into the others eyes, and closed the gap in between them.
Their lips touched sweetly and gently, sending sparks through them. It wasn't making out, just kissing. But it was the best thing in the world. They felt electric. Michael put his arm around her waist, pulling Christine closer to him, while she put her arm over his shoulders, behind his neck. They had been friends for years, shared everything, but now they were closer than they had ever been. They had never felt so connected to a person in their lives. It felt so… right. They were together and it felt as if nothing could stop them. They were invincible. As well as oblivious.
So oblivious that they didn't notice Lily walk into the room sequel, take a picture and leave.
After what seemed like centuries later, they pulled apart. They looked deeply into each other's eyes and smiled. "Wow. I thought I couldn't possibly love you more. I was so wrong." She told him, giggling.
"I thought the same thing. I love you so so much."

Christine and Michael walked back downstairs after a while of talking, only to run into Lily.
"Having fun up there?" She asks them.
"We were just talking." Christine tells her.
"Just talking, my ass." She responds, pulling out her phone and showing them the picture. "You guys are really cute together." She laughs at the horrified looks on their faces, especially Michael's.
"You didn't…" He asks.
"No, I didn't show anyone. Booth would've killed you already, so relax." She tells them.
"Good. Now Lily, please delete it." Christine begs.
"I'm not gonna show anyone. In a couple of years, you'll appreciate that I captured your first kiss." She tells them and walks away.

A week later, they were walking into the Booth house after a movie date. Booth and Brennan weren't home yet, and the siblings were all at the Hodgins house, so the teens had the house to themselves. They had seen Chasing the Clouds, and Christine and Michael could very much relate to the two main characters.
"It was creepy, like he was exactly like you! Well, I think you're a little more romantic." Christine told Michael.
"I hope I am. Although she was really pretty, you're prettier." He responded.
"Why thank you." She said, and gave him a quick kiss. Since their first kiss the week before, they kissed all the time, very much to the pleasure of both teens.
"So… I was wondering. Would you like to go to the Winter Formal with me?" Michael asked. "I'll buy the tickets."
"You don't have to do that. And yes. I would be delighted to go." She could barely finish before Michael pressed his lips to hers. In was deep and indulgent, like their first one. Each was satisfied with the other, and each second, their love for each other got deeper.
They were so in love.
