Hi. Quick note, if we put this story in real years, this would be in 2026. This chapter begins on January 16, 2026.

And I'm sorry I took so long. To make up for it, this is a long chapter. Well, long for how I write.

Christine sat on her bed, her face pale. Lily sat across from her in a chair, eyes wide.

Lily was the first to speak. "Oh my god." They sat in silence for a few second. "No, no, this can't be happening. Maybe it's like stress or something. Seriously, it was your first time. The chance of that is… like tiny! It's… no. Let's just get you a pregnancy test and we'll rule out the chance."

"No!" Christine exclaimed. "What if it's positive?! What will I do then?! Michael would hate me and we would break up! My parents… oh god my dad! And Parker! They all still think I'm a virgin! You did too, until I told you! What will they do? I would have to raise the child by myself, if my dad even allows me to keep it!" Tears ran fast down her face as she got up and began to pace.

"Christine, calm down. You stay with your brother and sister, I'll go out and buy you a pregnancy test, okay. You're parents won't be home for another couple hours. That's more than enough time. Just, calm down." She said. Her and Christine were now sitting on the bed again, Lily holding Christine's hand and looking into her eyes. "Everything will be fine."

After a few seconds, Christine replied. "Okay. Okay. Go, I'll stay with Max and Holly."

"Okay." Lily said getting up. She went and told Max and Holly that she would be back soon, she was just going out to buy something. They were doing things so they didn't really care. So Lily went off to the drug store.

.

.

.

While Lily was buying, Christine ran through multiple scenarios in her head. If it's positive, Michael will break up with me. If its positive, my parents will be super mad at me. If it's positive, I will have no friends and probably be a high school dropout. If its positive, I'm gonna have a baby, and that poor baby will be raised by a horrible teenaged mother. If it's positive… if it's positive…

Finally, Lily got back and ran into Christine's room. "Sorry I took so long. I had to talk off the girl who had me pay. She must've thought I was some stupid bitch who didn't realize she was pregnant until she started showing. And you know me, I don't take shit from anyone. So of course I yelled at her." She laughed. " I bought three. Now go and pee on all three sticks. Then we'll wait."

Christine silently went into the bathroom and did what needed to be done. Then she placed them on the counter and nearly ran out. It still needed about 5 more minutes. She glanced at the clock. 5:35. So one would be ready at 5:39, one at 5:40, and the last one at 5:41.

"Christine, calm down, it'll all be okay. It's all going to be okay. No matter what these tests say, I will always be here for you. Parker, Holly, Max, and your parents will always love you. Michael will always love you. Even Angela and Hodgins will help you out. We will always be here when you need us. Now calm down, please." Lily tried to comfort her sister-in-law.

"No, it won't! My entire life is riding on these little pieces of plastic. It determines everything! Everyone is going to abandon me and I'll be worthless. I'll end up living on the streets!" She yelled. Tears started running down her face. 5:38.

"Christine, sweetie. No matter what, even if everyone else leaves, I will be right here. I promise. I swear it, on the life of my little baby girl or boy. But no one is going to leave you. So, please. Please calm down. It will be fine." Lily said.

5:39

They heard Lily's phone ring. It was time. "Okay. Do you want to go look at it, or do you want me to do it and tell you?"

Christine had now calmed down a little. She realized she needed to face the reality. "I-I'll do it." She said shakily.

She got up (she hadn't even noticed she was on the floor, leaning against her bed) and walked over to the bathroom. Slowly she walked inside. She closed her eyes and picked it up. She couldn't do it with Lily, so she put her hand over the result and walked back to her room. Lily sat on the bed patiently. Christine closed her eyes again and removed her hand. Then she opened her eyes.

Positive.

The word she feared most, written joyfully in bright blue letters.

Positive.

She burst into tears and practically fell onto the floor. She quickly felt Lily's arms wrapped around her. "Oh Christine…"

Christine couldn't reply. She just sat there sobbing, bawling. She was pregnant. She was going to have a baby. Michael's baby. Oh god, how was Michael going to react. He was going to leave her for sure. Break up with her instantly. Then the only people to support her would be her parents. Oh no, her dad! He would be so disappointed. So angry with her and Michael. She was Daddy's Little Girl, but she had gone and gotten herself pregnant. Nothing was ever going to be the same.

After a while she looked up and stopped sobbing for a little.

"If you want to be totally sure, it's 3:41. We can look at the other two." Lily said.

"Y-yea. Can you go get that please? Just tell me the result." Christine said, finally calming down.

"Of course." Lily said. She got up and quickly came back with another stick. "Positive. And positive."

Christine just nodded, trying to ignore the new tears running down her cheeks. Lily sat down next to her and hugged her again. After a minute, Christine spoke. "I can't believe this is actually happening. I always thought other people, but not me! But your right, I need to calm down and handle the situation."

"There's the logical Christine that you got from your mother! Okay, now just focus, one thing at a time. How are you going to tell Michael? Do you want me to be there?" Lily said, happy to see her friend a little calmer.

"I would love that. Maybe tomorrow. My parents are going on a date night, Max and Holly will be at his house, and I will be here waiting for him to pick me up for our date. We were going to walk there." Christine said while wiping her cheeks with her sleeve.

"That sounds perfect. When he comes over you can tell him, and I'll be here. Okay. You'll parents are going to be home soon, so we better clean up this stuff. Do you want to keep the tests to show Michael?" Lily asked.

"Yea, sure. It'll give him some proof that this is actually happening." Christine said. Then she put her hands on her stomach and looked down. "I'm gonna have a baby. Lily, I can't do this! I'll be a terrible mother!" She started panicking again.

"No! Of course you won't! You'll be the best mother there is! I've seen you around kids, Christine, and you are extremely good with them. Ask Parker, I've always told him that someday you'd be an amazing mom! And if you need any help, I'll be right here for you. And your baby and mine will be close in age! The two cousins will be best friends!" Lily comforted.

"Ok. Thanks Lily, really. I don't know what I would do without you." Christine said.

The girls hid the test for Christine to show Michael the next day, then made Christine looked presentable. After a while Lily left and Booth and Brennan came home. They could tell there was something off about their daughter, but they didn't ask. Christine stayed calm, though thoughts ran through her mind, crazed. She had so many questions.

The next day, she did her best to avoid Michael completely, but she knew she would have to walk home with him. Finally the school day ended and she met him outside.

"Hey, I haven't seen you all day." Michael greeted.

"Yea." Christine said weakly.

The majority of the walk home was very awkwardly silent. Michael occasionally said something about his day, how beautiful she looked, or their date. Christine only replied with a meek "Okay" or "Mm hm".

Finally when they were almost home, Michael asked "Chrissy, are you okay?"

"Yea, I'm fine. Just, I have a project and I'm thinking about it." She tried to cover.

"Are you sure? You can tell me anything."

"Yea, I know. I'm really fine Michael, and I'm excited for our date later." She said.

They had reached her house. "Okay. I'll come over at 6 and well leave then. Bye Chrissy. I love you." Michael said, and head for his house.

.

.

It was 5:32 when Booth and Brennan left for their date, leaving Max and Holly at the Hodgins house. It was 5:49 when Lily got to the Booth house.

Christine was pacing. "I still don't really know how I'm gonna tell him. This is so weird!"

"Well, you decide. I'm just here for moral support. Unless you want me to tell him."

"No! I have to do this. Thanks for the offer though."

"Of course honey. I'm also here to kick his ass if he decides to leave you, which he won't because he's the amazing Michael."

The doorbell rang and Christine ran to get it.

"Hey, Chrissy. You ready to go?" Michael asked.

"Not really. Can you come in Michael?" She asked.

"Uh yea sure." He said confused. Then he saw Lily. "Hey, Lily, what are you doing here?"

"Just visiting Christine." She said quickly.

"Um... Okay." He said. They had reached the living room and Christine sat, so Michael sat too. "Christine, what's going on?"

Christine was starting to tear up. "Um, ok, uh. Remember when we, ya know, had sex?"

Michael nodded. "Chrissy, we said that shouldn't have happened. Why, what's wrong?"

Tears started to run down Christine's cheeks. "M-m-michael. I'm, I'm pregnant." She said then fully burst into tears.

Michael sat there shocked, eyes wide, just staring at Christine. Then, it processed. He was going to be a dad. He was going to have a child. And the mother was the woman he loved. Even if they were only teenagers, it was going to be okay.

The only thing not okay, was that the woman he loved was crying, right in front of him. So he hugged her tightly and kissed her head. "It's gonna be okay Baby. We can do this. Together."

"You're really gonna be supportive?" Christine said shakily.

"Are you kidding? I would never leave you! And if I had a choice, as to who I had to go through this with, it would be you. I love you Christine. I love you and this baby." He said passionately.

They sat there together for a while before Lily cleared her throat. "See Christine, I told you Michael would never leave you. Okay, well you guys should probably discuss some stuff. You have some big decisions to make. I'm gonna go home to give you some privacy." She said

"Thanks Lily." Christine said, then turned to Michael when Lily left. "What are we gonna do?"

"Well, you want to keep the baby right? Because I do. But if you want something else, I'll be supportive." Michael asked.

"Of course I wanna keep the baby! But it also depends on what our parents say." Christine says.

"We can tell them tomorrow since were coming over for dinner. They can help us with the rest. Of the decisions." Michael said.

"Yea. You're totally right. Well have them help us. And we can both get jobs, and I'm sure our parents can help us financially." Christine said.

"Let's talk about that tomorrow. Right now, we have two options: stay here and watch tv, or go out something and catch a movie, because I'm not going to let you go ice skating. You could fall and hurt the baby." Michael said.

"Let's go watch a movie." Christine said, getting up.

"Okay." They left the house as well as the thoughts about the baby behind, to be decided later.
