How are you? Sorry for the delay. I had a few trouble and I was sick during a few days and I was even in the hospital during one night =(. So, I wasn't able to write so much. However, last night and today I had some free time and I was able to write this chapter.

I hope that you like it and let me a review.

Chapter 14: a long weekend (Sunday)

Gabby felt how a pair of soft hands was caressing her skin making that she woke up of her peaceful sleep. The person, who was caressing her, was doing it lovingly. She opened slightly her eyes when the person stopped of caressing her and, saw that Matt walking to the kitchen. He was still dressed in his blue boxers.

"Where are you going?" she asked hoarsely

"Hey" he said turning to face her "I am going to go to the kitchen to cook something for us. I bet that you have to be hungry" he kneeled and grabbed her hands

She nodded and smiled "what time it is?"

"Three o'clock. I will be quick" he kissed her in her lips and she closed her eyes again.

Matt walked to the kitchen with a big smile in his face. Quickly, he cooked some sandwiches for them and came back to the living room.

"Gabby" he said placing the tray in the coffee table.

"Whoa. That was quick"

"I told you" and he gave her a sweet kiss in her forehead "What is in your head?" he said after seeing that she had a concerned face

"I thought that you were leaving when you went to the kitchen" she said avoiding looking him

"I told you. And, I will say it again. As far as I concern, it's our time now, alright?"

She nodded smiling, placed her hand behind his neck and brought him closer to her to kiss him in his lips. He placed his hand in her cheek and kissed her too. She couldn't believe after all this time finally she was kissing the man in which she was in love since she started to work on 51.

"Do you think that the sandwiches can wait?" she asked after breaking the kiss

"I think so" he smiled and lied down on the top of her being carefully of not crush her with his weight. She was brushing his hair while Matt was placing small kissed in her neck, which was one of her sweet spot. She couldn't avoid it a moan of pleasure and, Matt continue kissing her around her neck.

Her hands slid down his back. Suddenly, he felt the urge of feeling her sweet soft lips. Both of them were desperate to touch every inch of the body of the other one.

"I am sorry Gabby" Matt said and put some space between them "I am not ready"

"Don't worry" she said rolling her eyes. In that moment she felt the same feeling that she felt when Matt kissed her in her cheek in the Christmas party.

"Hey, Look at me" he said placing his hand in her cheeks "I promise you that I am not going to make an excuse to grab my things and get out of here. Gabby I had a chance at this a year ago, and I blew it. I've been regretting it ever since, alright?"

"Alright" she said smiling and kissed him in his lips "now, let's go to eat something I am starving"

Cuddling into Matt side, Gabby rested his head against his shoulder and ate her sandwich. When both of them finished, Matt grabbed a blanket and draped it around them.

"Do you want to go back to sleep?" he asked playing with a strand of her hair.

"I don't know" she said caressing his forearms "I mean, I don't want to go back to sleep and find out in the morning that this was a dream"

"Would it be the first time that you dream about me?"

"No" her cheeks turned red and he laughed about it.

"Tell me about those dreams"

"No te voy a decir nada"

"Hey" he said disappointed "It's not fair"

"Se siente" she said again in Spanish. She loves when she speak in Spanish since it was a language that not everyone know so, she could say whatever she wants without being worried of getting in trouble.

"tell me what you said"

"No" she joked

"Are you sure that you are not going to do it. I know how to make you talk" and he made tickle in her side.

"stop. Please" she said laughing

"Are you going to say me what you said in Spanish?"

"Yes" he stopped and she looked him "I said I am not going to say you a word about it and I am sorry"

"And, what about those hot dreams that you have about me?"

"what make you think that they are hot?"

"intuition"

"I am sorry to say you that they aren't"

"Come on, tell me about them"

"In them I dream about you and I as a couple. In the last one, you came back home after fix the garage of someone else. I was cooking dinner, you approached to me, cuddle from my waist and kissed me in my head"

"well" he said after a few seconds of silence "I will be really glad of having dinner with you and make your dream reality" he smiled and kissed her in her temple. She smiled and kissed his hands. In reality, there was something more that she didn't tell him. In her dream, she was pregnant with his child and after kissing her in her temple, he caressed her belly and kissed it

"Gabby" Matt said worried since she didn't say anything in the last two minutes "Are you ok?"

"Yeah. Sorry. What did you say?"

"I asked you if you want to sleep with me"

"No. I don't want to go back to sleep I want to spend all the night speaking with you. Tomorrow is going to be a long day with Shay around us"

"Do you want to tell her about us?"

"I would like to hide it for a while. Just until we are sure that we want the same thing. What do you think?"

"Sure. Whatever you want. It is not easy for me either. I am dealing with so much right now"

"I know" she said

They spent the next hour speaking about random things and after seeing the sunrise they fallen asleep.

"Are you sure that you are going to be okay by your own?" Shay said looking to Severide, who was sat on the couch with a beer in his right hand

"Yeah"

"Do you want to come with me to see by your own eyes how is Casey doing?"

"No. I am going to see the game of the last night that I missed"

"Okay. I will be back this afternoon if you need something call me"

"Since when are you my mother?"

"Since you become a childish" she said walking to the door

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that since Casey told you that it was your fault what happened to Andy"

"that is not true" he said

"Of course it is" she said walking to him "He is your friend, one of your firefighter brothers. Someone who is having a rough time and needs a friend"

"he is not my friend. He didn't call me"

"Did you?" she asked sitting in front of him in the coffee table

"No" he said rolling his eyes

"You know what is to be inside of a big hole and feel that you can't get out of it, right?" she said referring to when his fiancée stood him up few days before the wedding You should be the one who most help Casey and not being here drinking"

"Say Hi to Dawson" and he continued watching the match

"Bye Kelly. I hope that one day you find out that you are an ass who doesn't deserve to have such as great friends in his life" she turned and walked to the door

"Hold on" he said angry walking to her "What Casey did is something that is against of what a firefighter is. A firefighter has a high respect for life. And Casey doesn't have it"

"Then, why not you help him?"

"He doesn't want my help"

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I am sure. He kicked Boden and I out of his house when he tried to cut his veins in his kitchen" in that moment, spite of being mad with his friend he couldn't avoid to feel like if he was betraying him

"When that happened?"

"Three days ago" he doubt if he should tell her or not her true.

"Gabby knows about it?"

"Yeah. She was there with us. I can continue like that Shay. I can't continue seeing how my best friend try to kill himself over and over" tears was falling down his cheeks "what would be next? Burn himself during a call?"

"Kelly" Shay said hugging him

"I can't" he repeated

"Alright. Look, when I come back home this evening, I will tell you how is he doing. Maybe, being out of the to town help him to feel better"

"I hope that you are right"

Gabby entered in the living room and saw that Matt was still asleep on the couch. His head was resting against his right hand and his mouth was slightly open. She approached to him and kissed him in his temple.

"it's time to wake up sleepyhead" she said brushing Matt's hair

"What time it is?" Matt asked hoarsely

"I told you. It is time to wake up"

"no seriously. What time it is?"

"Half past twelve. Shay is going be here in any moment. If I were you, I would go to have a shower and get dressed" and she finished of making her hair

"Hey. When did you dress?"

"I woke up half an hour ago. I showered and made coffee"

"Why didn't you wake me?"

"You looked so peacefully sleeping that I didn't wanted to wake up you" she said caressing his face

Suddenly, there was a knock of the door and it was opened by someone.

"Guys" Shay said walking around the cabin

"Come on Matt, you have to disappear now" Gabby said and helped him to get up of the couch. She went to meet Shay in a try to distract her.

"Shay" she said

"Hi Gabs. Where is Matt?" she asked looking around the cabin

"He went to have a shower. He will be right back in a few minutes"

"Good because I need to speak with you"

"About what?"

"Why didn't you tell me that Matt tried to kill himself again?"

"how do you know it?" she asked surprised

"Kelly told it to me this morning"

"Bigmouth" she said angry

"Gabby I want to help Matt"

"He is doing better. He just needs some time out of the town"

"okay. If you or he need something, whatever, just tell me"

"Thanks" and both friends shared a quick hug "Do you want to help me to make lunch?"

"Sure"

Fifteen minutes later, Matt entered in the kitchen with his t-shirt in one hand and the other one holding a tissue against his chin. Before he showered, he shaved and he made a little cut on his chin that in that moment was bleeding.

"Hi" he said "Gabby, have you brought your first aid kids by chance?"

"Yeah. What happened?" she let the knife on the counter and approached to him

"Nothing. It is just that while I was shaving I cut. It is just a little of blood"

"Can you continue with the salad?" she asked with Shay

"Sure" she said smiling funny

"Come with me Matt. I have the med kit in my room" the two of them walked out of the kitchen and as soon as Matt was sure that Shay couldn't hear or see them, he grabbed Gabby's hand and turned her.

"What are you doing?"

"This morning I didn't have the opportunity of doing this" and his lips reached up her in a kiss. His hands were in her hips and her in his face.

"Come on I have to cure that cut"

"Don't worry about it" and he showed her his chin in which there was not bloodstained

"Matt" she said shocked

"It was a excuse for being with you for a few minutes" he said in his defence "Today is going to be a long day and, tonight you are going to come back to the city"

"I know. But, I am going to call you every day. if I am lucky and I don't have to work in Molly's next Saturday, I can come here to visit you. What do you think?"

"That would be great" and he kissed her one more time

"Now I think that is time that I come back to the kitchen otherwise Shay will suspect. You know that she will tell to everyone in the firehouse as soon as she knows that we are together"

"I know" he said smiling

After eating lunch, the girls went to the living room to speak and Matt went to the porch to read. He was in the middle of the book when he felt Gabby's hands around his neck.

"What are you reading? You look to be really concentrated on it"

"It is about a young detective who tries to find who killed his family" he closed the book and placed it on his lap "where is Shay?"

"She is the bathroom getting ready for go to the lake. Do you want to join us?"

"I don't think it could be a good idea"

"Why not?"

"I am not sure if I am going to be able to keep my hands out of you" he said smirking

"I am sure that you will find a way of doing it" She pressed her lips against his neck.

"You are not helping me" he said smiling. She slide down her hands and introduced them under his t-shirt. "Gabby" he moaned "You are not playing fair"

"It is your fault" and she rose his shirt "You shouldn't have thrown me to the water last night" she whispered in his ear

"Gabby" her touch was driving him crazy

"I will see you in the water" and she walked away of him with a smirk in her face

"It looks like I need a cold shower" he said to himself

After being together all the weekend, Matt has the feeling that that weekend made that Gabby and he got closer. Finally they were able to confess their feeling and now, when he saw from the door frame that she was getting ready for coming back to Chicago with Shay a rough feeling hit him. He doesn't want that she leaves but, there was no chance that she could be there with him longer. She has to come back to 51 tomorrow and she already skipped a few shift while he was in the hospital.

"Do you know that is a lack of education staring the people?" she said looking him "Hey, why do you look so sad?" she said approaching to him

"You are leaving"

"Matt" she said hugging him "Don't worry, you are going to be fine"

"I know but, you are not going to be here with me"

"Matt these days are going to pass really quickly and before that you know it I will be here again"

"okay" he rested his head against her shoulder and she brushed his hair

"I will call you as soon as I arrive home tonight"

"Alright" he hugged her one last time and he walked out of the room to meet Shay in the living room

"How are you Matt?"

"I am fine. Thanks"

"Maybe, we are not as friends as Dawson and you are but, if you need something or maybe a friend for speak about something you can call me"

"I know. I appreciate it" Shay hugged him and kissed him in his cheek.

"Are you ready Gabby?" she said when Gabby entered in the living room with her bag in her shoulder

"Yeah" she walked to Casey and hugged him "Bye Matt"

"Bye. By safe"

"You too" and she gave him her first aid kit "Something tell me that you are going to need it" he laughed and took it

"Thanks"

"Well. See you"

Shay and Dawson walked to the car of the blonde. Gabby placed her bag on the rear of the car and sat on the passenger seat. Matt was looking them from the frame of the main door. He waved them and entered in the house when Shay started the ignition.

"Stop" Gabby shouted before they got too far and opened the door of the car

"Gabby" Shay said watching how she ran to the house

When Gabby reached to the main door, she opened it and entered in the house

"Gabby" Matt said shocking of seeing her "Did you forget something?"

"Yes" she got closer to him and her hands encircle his neck for getting him closer "I forget this" and her lips capture his in a sweet kiss. "See you soon" she said after breaking the kiss

"See ya" he said smiling and she left again.

"What were you thinking?" Shay asked when Gabby sat again in the passenger seat

"I forgot something. I am sorry"

"Are you ready to leave?"

"Yeah. I am ready" she said looking to the cabin

One and a half hour had passed since Dawson and Shay left to come back to Chicago. Matt was sat on the couch finishing the book that he started to read after lunch. He was more tired that he thought, his eyes were closing and the book almost fell on his lap. He closed the book and placed it on the coffee table. He didn't want to fall asleep until he was sure that Gabby was at home. He checked his phone but, he didn't have any missed call. Suddenly, his phone started buzz in his hand, he smiled when he saw that it was Gabby who was calling him.

"Gabby" he said happy

"Hi" she said "How are you?"

"Fine" he never thought that he could be as happy as he was in that moment after hearing her voice "and you? did you have a good journey?"

"Yes. Shay tried that I told her why I was smiling most of the time"

"Really" he knows that Shay loves gossip "And, why were you smiling?"

"No te lo voy a decir" she joked

"Come on, don't speak in Spanish" he said disappointed "You know, one day I will learn Spanish and you will never be able to speak again in Spanish without me being able to understand you"

"Eso habrá que verlo"

"Gabriela"

"Hey. Don't call me Gabriela. My parents name me Gabriela when I was a kid and did something bad"

"Alright. Gabby" he said smiling

She yawned and Matt knew that it was time that they hung out and go to bed. It was really late and she was on shift the next day.

"Well. I hope that tomorrow you tell me why you were smiling today" he yawned too "I think that I am going to go to bed. Tonight is going to be a long and weird night"

"why?"

"Because you are not here" he said and it broke her heart "it is not going to be easy sleep in a pillow that smell to your shower gel of strawberries"

"Matt. It is not going to be easy for me to sleep. I am going to miss being crushed under your body at three o´clock of the morning" she joked referring to the Saturday night in which he almost crushed her. Both of them started to laugh.

"Good night Gabby"

"Good night Matt"

""Please, hang you"

"Why?"

"Because I can't do it" if he could, he would prefer to spend all the night speaking with her by phone. But, they can't.

"Alright. Tomorrow it is your turn to hang"

"Okay"

"Bye" she said and hung the call.

Their weekend has come to the end =(.

Now, Matt has to be alone in the cabin thinking about what to do when he comes back to Chicago.
