How are you doing? I hope that all of you had a good happy thanksgiving yesterday.
I am really bad, I had just seen this week episode of "Chicago fire" and I hated it. It was really awful. I hate Dawson for what she did. Of course that she did what Herrmann said her about improvise but, when Casey was talking with her about what she did and how dangerous it could have been she was making jokes.
I don't think that there is going to be something between her and Mills. I think that she just needed a friend for talking about the things that she used to talk with Shay. And that was Peter Mills. I can't wait to see the next episode and I really hope that they make out and the producer give us a good Dawsey's scene, we deserved after they are doing to us.

Chapter 15
The days were passing really slowly and that day, was the fourth one that he was on the lake since Gabby came back to Chicago. During the last four days, he has been thinking about what he would do when he comes back to Chicago.
He thought that maybe he could work construction full time owing to be a firefighter wasn't an option for him anymore. According to Gabby, chief Boden wanted to see him as soon as he comes back from the lake. It was probably that he wanted to see him for saying him, face to face, that he was firing. However, he thought that maybe he can have the chance of speaking with Boden and try to convince him for putting him in for a transfer to other company or other shift. However, he wasn't sure if he would like being in a different house. Firehouse 51 was the firehouse in which he started his career long time ago and of course where he met Gabby.
Gabby. Matt was missing her so badly. True to her words, she called him every day to talk to him. Some calls were shorter and other longer but, at least he could hear her voice, which was enough for him.
He couldn't understand why but, since she left he wasn't able to sleep all the night and he used to wake up after midnight asking if Gabby was fine. One night after having a horrible nightmare, he was tempted to call her but he didn't. Instead, he confirmed with sleeping with the same pillow that she used the weekend that she crashed in the cabin with him. It had her smell.
Tired of being lain down in the bed just staring the ceiling, he got up and walked to the bathroom to have a shower. Since it was past noon and he missed breakfast he started to cook lunch after he finished his shower. He was working on making lunch when suddenly, the heard of a motor was heard on the outside. He approached to the kitchen window and saw Gabby's car. However, it couldn't be her; she told him that until this Saturday she couldn't go to the cabin owing she has to be on Molly's. He walked out of the cabin in time to see Gabby parking her car near to his truck. He ran to her car and opened the driver door.
She gave him a smiled and got out of the car "Hi. How are..." but her words died inside of her mouth when Matt pressed his soft lips against her. His hands were in her lower back, holding her body firmly with his arms "Whoa. I guess that you missed me" she said encircling her hands behind his neck
"Yeah" he hugged her and buried his head on her neck smelling the smell of her perfume; Strawberries, it was his favorite. "That is a great surprise, Gabby. You said that until this Saturday you couldn't come"
"I know but, what can I say, I was missing you" she said smiling
He kissed her and his hands travelled from her lower back to her face "How are you? You must be tired. Let's go inside so you can rest"
"Sure"
"So, how was your shift?"
"it was really exhausting" she yawned and he gave her a lovely smile
"You want to lie down so, you can catch some sleep?" he asked concerned about her
"Yeah. I'd love it"
He held her hand and led her to the room in which he sleeps since, the size of the bed was king and both of them can lie down together in case they want.
"Here" he said and gave her a pair of clean sweatpants and one of his CFD grey shirt. She looked him surprised so he said "it is probable that you change your mind about coming this morning. Besides, I suppose that you left this morning from the firehouse at the end of your shift without going home first"
"You are right. Should I be worried? You know so much about me, Matthew Casey" she joked before taking the clothes and going to the bathroom for changing in his clothes. Few seconds later, she re-entered in the room wearing only his shirt which was so big for her that she could wear it as it was a dress "how are you? What have you been doing?" she asked as she sat on the bed
"I am better now that you are here" he said lovingly and he reached his hand up to push some loose strands of Gabby's hear behind her ear "I have been fishing and thinking a lot" he sat near to her and placed her leg on his lap. He took one of her feet and started to give her a massage. Few seconds later, she was mooning while his fingers were massaging her feet. "What about you?"
"Oh Matt" she moaned "I am good. I was missing you so; I decided to give a surprise"
"it is nice to have you here. I appreciate" he let her foot and grabbed the other for giving the same treatment "Are you going to spend the night here?" He asked trying not to sound so desperate when in reality he wished that she could.
"I can't. It's Otis' free night on Molly's so, Herrmann and I have to be behind the bar. Sorry"
"It's okay. It doesn't matter" he said disappointed and rubbed her back "you are so tense"
"I know. It has been one hell of shift. Shay and I had so many calls. We couldn't even eat dinner with the rest of the guys last night"
"I have an idea. Lie down on your stomach" He got up of the bed and walked to the bathroom
"Where are you going?" she said
"Sorry. I needed to grab something" he said re-entering in the room with a bottle in his hands
"What is that?" she asked pointing to the bottle that he had in his right hand
"It is a lotion that I use when I have cramp in my calf muscle. Trust me; you are going to love it"
"Okay but, why do I have to lie down on my stomach?"
"I am going to give you a massage in your back. So, if you don't mind, remove your shirt and lie down on your stomach" Her cheeks turned lightly red and she did what he said. Matt sat above her gluts with his leg at each side of her body. She could feel the warm skin of his legs against her own skin "Can I unclip your bra?" he asked stuttering; he was really nervous and for a second he thought that she was going to call him pervert. However, she placed her hands on the clip of her bra and unclipped it. It would be the first time that she would be as exposed in front of him and it made her to feel a little bit insecure of her body. "Don't worry about saying me to stop if you are not okay, alright?" She nodded again and he placed his hands in her back.
Spite it was a little awkward the situation, it didn't take too long for both of them. Feeling the warm touch of his soft finger was relaxing for her; her head was resting in the pillow and her eyes were closed. In the case of Matt, he was so nervous; it was the first time that he did something like that. So, at first he didn't dare to move so much his hands. Nevertheless, after seeing her so relaxed, he dared to go further.
"You okay?" he asked concerned when his hands reached her sides.
"Don't stop" she moaned
He smiled and continued massaging her back for ten minutes more. When he was done, he clipped again her bra and helped her to sit on the bed.
"That was amazing" she said smiling. It was awkward for her being in front of him dressed only in her underwear. He got closer to her and caressed her cheeks.
"I am glad that you feel better" He whispered in her ear. She placed her hand on his chest for laying him down on the mattress and, she sat on the top of him. With her index finger, she traced the line of his chin.
She captured his lips with her and tugged at his lips gently with her teeth. They battled for the control of the kiss. "Since it was a great massage, I think that I should repay you for your services" and, she pressed her lips with his one more time.

After sharing a little section of making out on the bed, Casey let that Gabby could catch some sleep and he continued cooking lunch. While he was preparing a salad, he thought about how much he had missed her in the last couple of days. He didn't notice it until he his arms were wrapped around her body but, from that moment, he was sure that he would not be able of spend other night without her, without seen her beautiful face in the morning without make up.
"You okay?" she asked encircling his waist from his behind. Her chest was pressed against his back
"Yeah. I was going to wake up you. Lunch is ready"
"Look at you. You can cook" she teased after seeing what he had prepared for lunch.
"Don't tell anyone of 51" he smiled "I do not use to take great pains in the kitchen. I only do it for special occasions"
"So this is a special one?" she asked seductively
"Absolutely. You are here" and she gave him a dumb smile and his cheeks turned red "Come on. Let's go to eat before it gets cold"
They eat their lunch talking about whatever unrelated with 51. She told him everything that she and her brother used to do when they spent their summer on that cabin. It looked like she and her brother was really closer since he used to look after of her while their parents were on work.
For a moment, he couldn't avoid be jealous of her; after his father died and his mother went to prison, the relationship between he and his sister wasn't the same. They were discussing all the time because he was on the side of their mother.
"So, how are you?"
"I am fine"
"what are you going to do the next couple of days until I can come back?"
"I want to come back to Chicago" he said after a few minutes of silence. He had been thinking and he came to the conclusion that he needed to leave Chicago for a few days for moving away of all the pain that Hallie's death caused him. But, he thought that he should also face his problems. Besides, there was the issue that he couldn't be away of Gabby. There was somethin in her that was always made that he feels fine.
"why? I thought that you said that you need time outside of the city"
"I know but, I can't spend other night far away of you. I can't"
"Are you going to be alright?" she asked referring to notes that Hallie's father had sent to him, or the phone call and text that he received on his phone.
"Yeah"
"I also can't spend other night without you" she kissed him and laid her head on his chest "Don't say to anyone but, I stole the pillow of your bunk in the firehouse"
"my hypoallergenic pillow?"
"Yeah. It was the day after I slept embraced to you on your couch. I couldn't sleep so; I went to your office and sleep there that night. The next shift, a new Lieutenant came and, I couldn't sleep on your bed so I decided to steal your pillow. I love the smell of your aftershave"
"a new Lieutenant?" he asked surprised that Boden hired a new guy so quickly. I hadn't been more than two weeks since he was off shift and, he already had a replacement.
"Yeah. Lt. Bradley. Sorry" She put a funny face and said "According to everyone, he is a dick"
"Yeah but, he is the new Truck's Lieutenant. Don't worry. It is okay" he said after she placed her arm around his shoulder "Now you mention the firehouse, did he told you about what he wants to talk about?
"No" she said "He just said me that he tried to call you but, your phone was switched off. So, he asked me if I could say you that he wants to see you in his office as soon as you come back to Chicago"
"Has anyone asked you about me?"
"No" she said. It was evident that everyone was missing him; however, they never asked her if she know something about him since they didn't know that she speak with him. Maybe, they called him to his cell phone but, he didn't have it. The only who asked her about him was Shay.
"okay. I will try to go to his office the next shift; It is probable that he need my sign for making official my firing"
"Do you know what are you going to do?"
"No. I really want to come back to 51 but, after what I did…I doubt that Boden wants me there" some tears started to form on his blue eyes
"Baby" she cupped his face "You don't have anything to feel ashamed of. You were having a rough time and, Hallie's parents wasn't helping so much"
"I know but, Severide is right, a fireman should never take his own life like I tried to do"
"Don't worry about that. I am sure he was scared of losing you, like he lost Andy"
"I think that it is time that I face my problems. The first thing that I am going to do when I come back home is talk with my mom. I shouldn't have said to her what I said. I blamed her of what she did to me dad when in reality, it wasn't her fault"
"Did you call her?"
"No. It would have been cowardly"
"And what are you going to do?"
"I think I already have a plan" he asked after thinking about how he could apologize to his mother. What he did was really rude and a simple sorry wouldn't be enough.
"Yeah? What?
"I'm gonna cook"
"cook?"
"Yeah"

"So, are you ready?" she asked after he put inside of a tupperware what he had cooked.
After lunch, Gabby helped him to pack all his stuff for coming back to Chicago. When they arrived to the city, they went straight to her house and, she helped him to cook the diner with which he wanted to surprise him mom
"Yeah I am ready"
"Sorry but, I have to get ready for tonight. I hope that your plan works. And, have this" she took a key of her key ring and gave in to him "it is the spare key of my house"
He give her a shocked look "You sure?" Everything was happening so fast between them.
"Why I shouldn't be?" she asked
"Maybe I am a serial Killer and you don't know it" he teased
"You are right" he said laughing "Thanks" he grabbed the key "I have to go to my mother house"
"Have you called her yet?"
"No. I want to give her a surprise. Wish me luck"
"Matt. Before you go there, there is something that you should know"
"What?"
"Your mother called me a few times asking about you. But, she said me not to say you nothing about the calls. She was worried about you"
"Thanks"
"Good luck. If you finish early, why not you show up to Molly's?"
"Yeah. I think that I could pick up my beautiful girlfriend and make sure that she comes back home safe" Her cheeks turned red after he referred to her as his girlfriend; she had dreamed so much about that moment.
"Did I say something wrong?"
"No. No"
"Alright. See you later" she gave him one last kiss before he walked to his car ready to start to face his problems.

Ten minutes after leave Gabby's house, Matt arrived to her mother house. It would be the first time that he will be inside of her house; he never dared before to visit her in her new house because it was strange for him to have his mother. Now he regrets of not doing it.
He took a deep breath, got out of his car walked to the main door with the Tupperware on his hands. He knocked the door and waited that his mother opened the door. After a few seconds, which for him was eternal, the door was opened and his mother looked him surprised on seeing him stand up on the other side of the door.
"Matt" she said glad of seeing him again
"Hi mom" he said nervous "mom. I am so sorry for what I said you"
"Matt" she wanted to say that it was okay; that it was her fault, she have no right to tell him what to do. He was an adult.
"Let me finish, please" she nodded
"I lost you fifteen years ago" He said nervous "You were trying to protect me from dad. You did it for me. It was my fault what happened. If I would never have said him that I wanted to be firefighter, dad wouldn't have hated me" He made a pause. Some tears were coming down his blue eyes "You saved my life that night. I'll never be able to tell you how grateful I am"
"Matt" she ran to his side and hugged him, she held his head and rested it in her shoulder and rubbed softly his back "It's going to be okay"

"Thanks" he said moving away of her embrace
"I hope that you are hungry. I did something for you" he gave a Tupperware
"What it is?" She said opening the Tupperware
"Chicken pot pie with vegetables"
"Matt" she said surprised
"It was the last dinner that you cooked for me before going to jail" some tears was streaming down their cheeks "I learnt how to cook it because I thought that it was a way of not forget you, mom. You are really important for me and, I love you"
"Honey" she was very touched by what he did. It was a really nice gesture and she will never forget it "I love you too"
"Come on. Let's go inside so we can have dinner together" she said holding his hand and leading him inside of the house.

The next morning, Matt woke up in an empty bed; he looked around the room and noticed that it was Gabby's room. After eating dinner with his mother, he went to Molly's and helped her to finish of clean the bar and later took her to her house. He got up of the bed and got ready for the long day ahead that he was going to have. Today, he was planning on going to 51 and speaks with Boden and see if he can be transferred to other firehouse.
Since Gabby's house was near to the firehouse, he went walking. When he arrived, he saw that the trucks and the ambulance were in nowhere. He walked to Boden office and greeted a Connie with a smile and she told him that Boden will come back soon. He took a seat on the couch that there was outside Boden's office and waited with Pouch sitting on his lap.
"Chief, Casey is waiting you in your office" Connie said when she saw by the window that he was back.
"Thanks Connie" he looked to Severide and gave him a concerned look. Finally, he walked to his office and saw Matt. In his opinion, he looked like the old Matt. He was petting the dog and smiling.
"Casey"
"Chief" Matt got up of the couch and both men share a handshaking. Then, Boden entered in his office with Matt behind him. He sat behind his desk and Matt decided to continue stand up spite of his legs were shaking. He was scary of what his chief were going to say, which was funny since he went inside of burning building for living, however, there was something in Chief Boden that gave respect and fear when he was angry.
"We need to talk" Boden said and grabbed a folder of one of the drawer of his desk "This talk is going to be long Matthew so, why not you take a seat?"
"Yes sir"
What will Boden said to Matt? Will he be transferred to other house? I am sorry but, you will have to wait until the next chapter.
