A/N: Thanks for all the reviews thus far. Sorry for the lateness of this chapter, complete on my part because I got side-tracked with others things in my everyday life and had major writer's block like you wouldn't believe.
Ch 4
Gibbs' team, Director Shephard and the Dino Rangers left the conference room and headed towards the elevator heading leading to this so called "Command center" that was already inside the Naval yard perimeter. As everyone was entering both elevators, Ziva was checking out Tommy some more and raised an eyebrow in curiosity. Hailey notice quickly and quietly side-stepped next to Ziva.
"So, you like the view, huh?" Hailey asked Ziva refering about Tommy.
"Well, he is a looker, I'll give him that."
Hailey smirked because Ziva was right on that end. "Behind those hansome features lies a man who when through some serious pain that's hard to describe in only a few words."
"But you are his girlfriend since high school, yes?" Ziva asked that make Hailey cringed a bit.
"I'm his current girlfriend, I met him in graduate school."
"Then who was his high school girlfriend, if he had one I mean?"
"Kimberly Hart, another member of the first Power Ranger team."
"Oh, I see. That's explains a few other things about him."
Then Gibbs cuts into their coversation. "Ziva, save your oogling 'til after the rescue."
"Fine." Ziva argeed. But when Gibbs wasn't looking, she whipered something to Hailey. "Can I trade in Tony for Tommy?"
Hailey giggled softly. "Sorry, I would if I could, but Tommy has always come back to me, he's too addictive to me."
"Oh, well...it was worth a shot." Ziva smirked.
Tony and Tommy was the last ones to wait for an empty elevator due to both of them were full, this gave them a small window to do some catching up.
"So, Tommy, you really gave the agents a scare when you appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the bullpen." Tony pointed out.
Tommy chuckled. "Sorry about that man, I secertly wanted to make it a special entrance, seeing that you were involved in all."
"Oh you have succeed on that front. I mean, whoa, my former college dormmate is a Power Ranger, who have thunk? Hey just wondering between you and me...back in high school, did you get all of the girls?"
"No, I had one girlfriend for a while, then she dumped me in a "Dear John" letter, then I tried again with another teammate which didn't work out as well as we hoped."
"But, Hailey..." Tony rolled his eyes on how Tommy ended up with a woman like her. "Is a Power Ranger as well and you're dating her now. Won't that end the same way as before?"
"Nah, it's not like that this time around with her because Hailey has been very supportive about my past misfortunes and gave me some of my current bruises to keep me in line."
Tony shakes his head in wonderment. "Well, at least you're not a psychopath, and on behalf of everyone here at NCIS and especially me, we are very grateful."
"I second that motion." Tommy said. Then the elevator door opens and they stepped in.
Once everyone was on ground-level, Hailey escorted everyone towards the Naval yard motorpool where a normal red Peterbuilt tractor-trailer truck was parked. Gibbs' team thought that the Power Rangers, basically this team would have come in something more heavy-duty.
McGee tried to hold in his laughter. "Really, this is your moblie base of operations?"
Hailey reached inside her coat pocket to get a remote control. When she pulled in out, she press the cloaking button and a wave of red light passed over the truck to revealed to have a center horn on the nose of the cab, horns around the tops and side while the grill had the Dino Thunder logo on it.
"Whoa." Abby said with awe. "This is so cool." She said as Ziva nodded in agreement.
"It looks a bit dorky, even by McNerd's standards." Tony commented to Tommy while dissing McGee in the process. McGee just shook his head to ignore Tony's comment.
"Hailey?" Tommy looked at his girlfriend.
"I haven't intergrated the upgrade yet, relax, Tommy-kins." Hailey reminded Tommy in her flirtly tone which made all of the teens burst out from not containing their laughter. Now Hailey pressed another button on the remote and the wheels lowered and a plow-type battering ram materilized where the front bumper was. "This is called the TriceraMax Moblie Command Center."
"That explains why I saw this parked outside my office." Director Shephard thought to herself, but Gibbs always had a good clue on what she was thinking.
Hailey had to get everyone attention once again. "Time to move, we don't have anytime to lose."
"Let us get our gear and meet you back here." Gibbs reminded Hailey that him and his team was still on a case.
"Ok." Hailey said.
"You're following her orders now?" Tony asked Gibbs reffering to Hailey's, then Gibbs headslaps Tony that made even both Trent and Conner cringed in discomfort.
"Yeah, DiNozzo. Got a problem with that?"
"No, boss. On her Six, I mean your Six boss." Tony said as he paced back inside the NCIS building with McGee and Ziva.
Director Shephard want to be a part of this in a degree. "I will try and make a cover story for you guys if any civilians tried to get an inside scoop on this mission."
"Thank you, Director. It will be a peace of mind if you do." Tommy pointed out. Tony, Ziva and McGree returned with their sidearms and coats with NCIS on it. Tommy had a problem with that. "I really hate to tell you, but they can't wear those coats."
"Why, Dr. Oliver, it's standard protocol?" Director Shepard asked.
"Because if Mesogog sees that you guys are federal agents, he will without a doubt either use you to get to head government officials, turn you into one of his minions or plainly just destroy you."
"That sucks." Gibbs said as his team looked at him funny due towards his tone of wording. "Go get your regular coats." He order his team.
"Thanks. It does help a lot if we used descretion on this." Tommy said.
Gibbs' team returned to the Triceramax and climbed inside it. They got themselves secure in thier seats. Hailey climbed into the front seat inside the trailer and sat in front of the computer consol. As soon as she sat down, she took of her heels and put on a pair of sneakers. Tony notice her changing footwear and had to ask the most obivous question imaginable.
"Hailey, why are you changing shoes?" Tony asked while the teens rolled their eyes in amusement because Tony was just as corny as Conner.
"Have you ever fought the bad guy in high-heels?" Hailey response with a question of her own.
"No..." Tony said.
"Exactly." Hailey replied again as everyone was straped inside.
After the Triceramax rolled out of the Naval yard, McGee was in geek heaven when he was in front of the computer's panels.
"This is amazing." McGee quietly said to himself. "Hey, boss...this thing has tech that even the US government doesn't have."
"Yeah, that's nice." Gibbs replied. He didn't really care about the high-tech gadgets unlike McGee does because he's old school, but he was impress with the camoflouge feature that even fooled him, which was a rarity.
"It's a moslty Eltarian tech in Earth-tech shells." Ethan explained as he tuned some of the scanners into snyc.
"If only this can be reprocated for the US government..." McGee began to ramble off and then stopped when Tommy, Hailey and Ethan gave him the evil eye. "What?"
"We can not allow any government to try and reproduce this type of technology." Ethan said in a displease tone as he continued to tracking his captured classmates.
"Why? Do you know how advanced we will be with this tech?" McGee asked before Tony wacked the back of his head.
"Shut up, McGee." Tony suggested in eagerness.
"Hey, I was just wondering..."
"That "just wondering" can lead Earth into another world war." Tommy saidin cold bluntness. "That's why in addition to the code that I mention earlier, every Power Ranger that's from Earth made a strict vow to never sell any Ranger technology for profit to any Earth goverment or private interest group. If that happens, the ranger will be automatically deemed as a warmongering traitor and will be forced to surrender their morpher." Tommy explained, then saw a bit of Ziva's disapproved expression on her face. "Don't expect the Israeli army or the Mossad getting their hands on this either, because we will without hesitation to protect it at all costs."
"Damn it, he knew that I was trying to get a hold of some ranger tech for the Mossad." Ziva thought to herself, but she'll wait until they rescue the kidnapped students to get on Tommy's case about it. "Whatever, we are doing just fine without that advance technology." Ziva boasted in her defense but it was a boldface lie. She never knew what was ahead when the Triceramax pinpointed the exact location of the energy signal will change her motives.
"Boss, I got a secured lock on Mesogog's location." McGee said as he typed in the longitude and latitude. "It's coming from a storage warehouse by the pier. "
"Good." Gibbs replied. "So, what should we "non-power rangers" expect?" He asked the Dino Rangers.
"Oh You know, the regular layout. The main villian with his top generals and squads of footsoldiers trying to stop us. And, if we surive long enough, there might be a wierd-looking monster that wants to kill you...the basics." Conner explained as Tony and Ziva was in blank face mode because they couldn't believe that these kids have to deal with this stuff on a daily basis.
"Remind me again why you allow these high school kids to fight?" Tony asked Tommy as he was trying to keep his breakfast down because of the bumpy ride he is experiencing.
"Like Zordon, I was looking for teenagers with attitude..." Tommy said.
"You mean that these kids got spunk?" Gibbs asked.
"If that helps you understand better, yeah." Tommy replied. "Here we are, let's get to it." he said as the Triceramax stopped around the corner near the storage warehouse.
The Dino Rangers and the NCIS team got out a snuck up to the main entrance. Tommy allowed Conner to lead as Gibbs cordinate with him.
"Fan out." Conner said softly as everyone quietly creped inside to see the captured Reefside high school students barely concious being held up by chain while injected with a orange genetic serum by a white saurian-humanoid wearing black leather.
"Who's "Dr. Frankensaurus"?" Tony asked as he peaked over a crate.
"That's Mesogog." Ethan replied.
"Then who's those two?" Ziva asked as she spotted Zeltrax and a woman in black and dark grey leather who had her brunette hair in a ponytail and wearing a mask.
"That's Zeltrax, the black-armored warrior who was at the Smithsonian leading the kidnapping and Elsa, Mesogog's assassin." Trent said.
Elsa was growing impatient with all this waiting. "Master, I thought you claimed that this wasn't going to take long to convert this humans into your first batch of superhuman warriors."
Mesogog snorted out a bit of air. "Patience, Elsa. The mutation serum takes time to work. Once it does fully transform these patheic excuse for lifeforms into my warriors, even those Dino Power Rangers won't stand a chance." He said as reptilian scales began to cover the students' skin and they were screaming in agony.
Zeltrax was quiet until now. "Master, how will you control these things once they become aware of their surroundings?"
"I have that taken care of." Mesogog replied as a mariontte-type figure with its face having happy and sad faces on its forehead and the mouths lid up to be it's eyes. And, also has a curled moustache.
"The name's LePuppetmaster, at your service, Mesogog." The monster said in a french accent.
"A puppet controlling other puppets, how ironically original." Zeltrax scoffed in sarcasm as he spotted shapes in the darker area. "Mesogog, we are not alone."
"Is that so..." Mesogog replied.
Without a sec onf to lose, the NCIS agents and the Dino Rangers charged out just like that always do assuming that these people will surrender. They were so wrong.
"Freeze!" Tony shouted out.
"Federal Agents!" Ziva shouted.
Conner covered his face when Ziva shouted that they were federal agents. "Some people never learn." He thought to himself.
"Dino Rangers, right on time as expected." Mesogog said to them in mockery.
"We decided not to wait for the engraved invatation." Trent said.
"We have a warrant for your arrest." Gibbs said
"Seriously?" Conner and Tony wondered as Gibbs was about to smack them both in the back of their heads, but he held back until a later time.
Mesogog evilly chuckled. "I hoped you going to enjoy the inclass fueding, because it will be your dimise! Attack!" He commanded as Zeltrax and Elsa charged forward and LePuppetmaster activated his telepathic power on the captured students to attack the Dino Rangers and the NCIS agents.
Each of the NCIS agents split and teamed up with a Dino ranger or two. This was a perfect time for the rangers to show the NCIS team their dinogem powers.
"How can we fight off these students without hurting them?" McGee asked as he ducked and dodge the punches given by one of the mind-controlled students. "There must be an easier way to do this?"
"Sometimes you have to knock some sense back into them." Ethan said as his blue dinogem glow and his arm were cover in dinoskin making his strength increased. Ethan now lifted the two students that his was fighting off and threw them into a pile of cardboard boxes.
McGee was oddly amazed on how strong that blue dinogem made Ethan, then got headlock by the remaining pocessed male student. "Hey, a little help..." He laborly called out.
Ethan tackled the male student, but was struggling to gain the upper hand because he was also the captain of Reefside high's wrestling team. "Stay down!" He grunted out.
"Clear away." McGee commanded as he had no other choice but to hit the guy upside the head with a shovel that was in one of the shipping crates.
Ethan stood next to McGee once he regain his footing. "That didn't take a lot of smarts."
"Didn't really have no other option." McGee replied as he dropped the shovel. "Will he be ok?"
"Yeah, he's fine. He is Reefside's wreslting captain, he's used to blows to the head." Ethan reminded McGee.
Ziva, Kira and Hailey had their hands full fighting Elsa and two mind-controlled students as well. Both students were female, so it wasn't that big of a deal to Ziva or Hailey.
"I hope that they don't remember this..." Kira said.
Ziva was fighting off Elsa and holding her own. "Why?"
"I owe these two money that they loan me for the trip." Kira replied.
Hailey was struggling to get the upper hand. "Worry about that later!" She said, then her magenta dinogem glowed and began to rise off the ground into the air for a spinning kick. Hailey tucked her arms in and spin around like a drill and made contact knocking one of the female students down.
"Very well." Kira said as her yellow dinogem began to glow which caught Conner's attention.
"Hey, you might want to plug you ears." He shouted out, epecially warning Ziva because she was the closest to Kira.
"Why?" Ziva asked.
"That's why." Conner pointed out as Kira used her Ptera-Scream on the remaining student and Elsa.
The Ptera-Scream was so powerful, that it pushed Kira back a few feet while shaking the warehouse windows, so Ziva leaned against Kira's back to give her more support while plugging her ears with her fingers at the same time. This left Elsa rattled while the two female students passed out.
"Oh...my head." Ziva moaned out as Kira turned around to see her in discomfort.
"You alright?" Kira asked. "Did my Ptera-scream damaged your hearing?"
Ziva looked up to see the dirty blonde. "No, but how come you and the other rangers weren't effected?"
"The dinogems protect us from the Ptera-scream." Hailey answered after she decended towards the ground.
"Sorta makes sense." Ziva said as her head was still ringing despite plugging her ears. "It's not worth becoming deaf over for Ranger tech." She thought to herself conceding her original plan to grab some ranger tech for Mossad.
Hailey looked at Ziva's eye patten. "Do worry, it will wear off by tonight."
"Good." Ziva replied as she looked over to see that McGee and Ethan was unharmed and standing over one of the male students that was hit in the head with the shovel. "Do we really need to know what happened?" She called out to them.
Ethan and McGee looked at each other, then at Ziva, Kira and Hailey. "No." They both answered in unison.
Trent and Gibbs had their hands full trying not to harm the controlled students while doing harm to LePuppetmaster.
"Come on, Marine, you're not get old on me, are you?" Trent teased Gibbs as he used his white dinogem's astroprojection power to phase in and out of solid objects.
Gibbs just smirked. "I may be old, but I can still "Semper Fi" with the best of them kid." Then Gibbs tackled LePuppetmaster without thinking of his healing injuries and crashed into a then stacked boxes. "Oh...not my best idea." Gibbs moaned out as LePuppetmaster was trying to get back up as well.
Trent went over to help Gibbs up. "Hey oldtimer, you still alive?" He asked while offering a hand.
"Yes, and that's Special Agent Oldtimer to you, smartass." Gibbs replied as he accepted. "What happen to your classmates?"
Trent looked back and show Gibbs his handywork. "I only picked on their brains a little and they fainted." Then he noticed that LePuppetmaster was nowhere to be found. "Where did that looney marionette go?"
Gibbs looked back at where he tackled LePuppetmaster, but all that was left was crushed boxes. "Damn it, do they always recover this fast?" Gibbs asked as he was a bit out of breathe.
"Yep, and this is just the warm-up round." Trent replied.
Last, but not least Tommy, Conner and Tony was taking on Zeltrax and the remaining two mind-controlled students.
"I'll run circles around these two while you guys take care of Zeltrax." Conner said with a slacker's smirk as his red dinogem glowed and Conner began to run in highspeed.
"How do you put up with that arongant attitude on a daily basis?" Tony asked his former dormmate.
Tommy rolled his eyes. "He may be a handful, but he one of the best Power Rangers so far." He replied as Zeltrax charged his blade for a chain lightning attack. "Look out!" Tommy exclaimed as he pushed Tony away to avoid the chain lightning attack. Tommy did a tuck and rolled to avoid the attack and looked up to Tony a bit daze. "Are you hurt, Tony?"
"No, just sore. Ow." Tony replied as his body was aching from the push that Tommy did.
Zeltrax looks over at Tony, then Tommy. "Tommy, always willing to risk your life for others. How predictably pathetic your heroism is." He growled as he charged towards Tony to kill him. Zeltrax stopped short as he felt punching and kicking on his chest and was pushed back.
Tony was wondering what was causing it. A few seconds later, Tommy reappear in a battle stance in front of him. Tony rasied his gun at Zeltrax and fired at him, but Zeltrax defect it away with his shield.
"This guy doesn't want to die, huh Tommy?" Tony said as he kept on firing until he ran out of bullets.
"These types have a tendency to keep on going." Tommy replied.
"Your friend will be too easy to take out, Tommy." Zeltrax said. "So, once I'm finish with you, you can watch me end your friend's life as you slowly die yourself. What venegeful justice it will be for what you have done to me years ago." Zeltrax siad as he pointed his sword at Tommy.
"Over my dead body." Tony said in Tommy's defense as he pointed his gun at Zeltrax once again. Then Tony rethink his wording. "Damn it, I shoved my foot in my mouth again."
"I can arrange that for you, weakling." Zeltrax said as he drew out his axe to make the final blow when Tommy's dinogem glowed and ran towards Tony to allow his invisability power to have effect on both of them. Zeltrax swung his axe at them, but they disappear and metal hitting the concrete floor making an echo throughout the warehouse.
Just moments after what would have been Tony's final case of his life, Tony opened his eyes to see that he was still alive and in one peice, sore from the push that Tommy gave him but overall alive.
"Oh that was way too close, man. Way too close..." Tony shuttered as he was still checking if everything was still in place. Tony let out a shallow breathe of relief that all is well bodywise.
"Are you alright?" Tommy asked in genuine concern for his friend.
"Yeah. I'm still in the land of the living." Tony replied.
"Good, because here comes the main event." Tommy said as Zeltrax let out a low growl in anger at both of them and stepped back a few steps to regroup with Mesogog, Elsa and Le Puppetmaster.
"The next move is yours, Tommy Oliver. What will it be? Surrender, fight or die?" Zeltrax said while mocking him.
"Then you left us no other choice..." Tommy replied as Hailey and the teens brought their NCIS allies to rejoin Tony. Then, with the flick of their wrists, their gem embedded gaunlets changed over to their Dino morphers. Only Tommy and Hailey pulled out special keys for thiers.
"Dino Thunder, Power Up!" All 6 Dino rangers called out the morphing command and miliseconds later theire bodies were cladded with muscle-enhancing Eltarium suit with dinosuar motifs on thier helmets. Conner was Red Tyranno, Ethan was Blue Tricera, Kira was Yellow Pterasaur, Tommy was Black Brachio with gold accents, Trent was White Drago with black accents and Hailey was Magenta Stego with gold accents similar to Tommy's ranger suit design.
"Tyrannodrones..." Mesogog shouted out as 4 green vortexes appeared and the same reptilian footsoldiers from before stepped out and was waiting for thier master's next command.
"Agent Gibbs, get my students out of here. We'll take care of them." Tommy said errnestly.
"Ok. Come on, get these kids out of here now!" Gibbs barked as the Dino Rangers charged into battle.
