Guys I really worked hard on this one! Longest chapter I've written! All characters to Stephenie Meyers.
I stepped off the plane. Observing the my surroundings. From what I've seen from the air everything looks beautiful. I've never been outside of the country well Canada but not over seas.
"Miss Swan?" The tap on the shoulder got my attention. A guy wearing a black suit, taller with his hands behind his back. I turned to him.
"Yes?" I responded.
"Nice to meet you Ms. Swan. I will be your chauffeur to the to everywhere you go."
"I have a ch-chauffeur?" Amazed I was. I was by myself because Alice still has to finish up some studying before she left.
"Yes, yes very special lets get a move of," He seemed unhappy and grabbed my bags to put them in the car. I quickly got into the back seat of the car. "Prince Edward has instructed me to take you on a tour of the city or go to the palace if you would like," My mind wanted to tell him go see the beautiful city but my body said to just go to the palace.
"The palace please," I told him. I guess I can see the city a different day. Maybe I'll ask Edward to take me around later. I did get to see a couple sights on the way to the palace. Like Big Ben, London Eye, Westminster Abby. Everything was so amazing to see, I've only seen them in books. I feel like my eyes have opened up to a whole new world. The car came to a complete stop, in front of black tall iron gates. With two guards standing in front. I could see tourist outside the gates taking pictures, waving, and mushing their faces between the iron bars. The gates opened letting us in. As soon as we came to a complete stop I went to go open the door but someone already beat me to it. I looked up at the guy who stuck his hand out. I ignored it and just got out as fast as I could. The guys then led me into the building. I examined the marble walls carefully. Each little detail, crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, painting of hugs portraits, the mahogany furniture. I went down the isle to see if I could find a portrait of Edward. I spotted it at the very end of the hall. He was so cute when he was young, but yet looked so old for his age.
"Edward was always a good child," I jumped startled at the voice. I turned to realize is was the queen!
"Oh! Um.. Your Highness it's so great to meet you," Quickly I curtsied as well as I could.
"You must be Bella," She pulled me into a warm gentle hug. "Edward has told me much about you in his letters, you are quite special to him. Please call me Esme," Surprised by her reaction I could only smile looking like an idiot. " I bet you are tired, let me have Claire take you to your room. I know Edward put you in a hotel but he's to paranoid. I canceled your reservation." By the time I could talk Claire already took my hand and led me to my room. My room was gorgeous. A king mattress with silk sheets and comforter, with a canopy hanging above. A Balcony that had a lovely view of the town and mountains. You would be able to see the sun rise in the direction of the room. The balcony too was also made of marble. The closet was a walk in closet of course. Bigger then my whole dorm in all! Alice would go crazy and have a heart attack and still not have enough space.
"Hello Ms. Swan, I am Mrs. Schwartz and I will be your teacher for this evening. The queen has sent me up here to teach you how to act at a ball." She seemed very cut and dry.
"It's okay, I don't need it. It's just a ball. Why can't I be myself?"
"Because you would be a disgrace to the country," She replied examining me up and down carefully. "Now we must work on manners, You must always address someone as Sir and Ma'am. Curtsey or bow to anyone important. When you sit and stand by Edward you must sit on his left-" I interrupted her.
"You're kidding! That's silliest thing I ever heard!"
"Ms. Swan, Do remember this is royalty and he has duties to meet people, he will need to shake hands with his right hand. And in business communication you can't even be by him, you must sit down." She said in a snobby tone. I glared at her. Now that this is all done you must go get read for the Ball. Jeana! Get Ms. Swan ready for tonight's ball and make her look extravagant. Get rid of her wrinkles, the bags under her eyes, her make up." I turned and looked at myself in the mirror touching my face... I don't have that much wrinkles or bags. Jeana pulled me over to get ready. There were four ladies helping me get ready, someone pulling at me at each side. I felt weird having people touch me all over my face and body.
"Special package for Isabella Swan," Surprised to hear my name I looked back behind me in the chair while the lady was curling my hair.
"That's me," I answered shyly. He walked over to me and carefully placed the package on my lap. The package was wrapped in a silver wrapping paper and a red ribbon. It was so beautifully wrapped I didn't want to touch it. As I started to unwrap the gift a little card fell out.
My Dearest Isabella,
I present to you this gift of how much I appreciate you coming to my ball. This beautiful necklace was my grandmother's and now will even more beautiful on you. Please wear this tonight so you will have a little piece of me. This necklace will be our little secret to remind ourselves that we belong to each other. I have also have given you these shoes because you are my Cinderella. I love you so much and will see you soon my love. My heart is forever yours ~ Love Edward
P.S. Save me a dance.
Awed by his letter. I couldn't stop reading it and felts the pen marks on his perfect cursive hand writing. I still feel like I'm dreaming. I can't believe this is all happening to me. I took the velvet box into my hands, and opened it.I gasped at it, it was the most amazing necklace I've ever seen. The ladies didn't say anything and just took it and put it on me. The necklace was a choker necklace with pearls to be the necklace and a huge blue sapphire in the middle. Alice must have told him about my dress. It went perfectly with it. I then put on the glass heels in the box. It was obviously not glass but clear heels. Heels are still a death trap for me but I guess I better get used to them. I looked in the mirror one last time and saw myself. For the first time in my life I thought I looked beautiful. The way the waves on my hair flowed down to my shoulders. My hair half up half down. They put two combs on each side of my hair. My make up wasn't to much either. Still noticeable but very settled and pretty. Everyone left as soon as they finished their job so I felt awkward sitting alone in the room by myself. It was silent. A knock on the door interrupted my mind of thought.
"Hello Isabella, I'm Prince Michael and I will be escorting you down to the ball tonight. Edward would have done it but he is in a meeting with out father so he has asked me too." The guy smiled at me holding his arm out at a ninety degree angle. I could defiantly tell they were brothers. Although Prince Michael still had a baby face.
"Oh, Sure," A little surprised but went along. I took his arm and we started walking to the Ball room.
"I've heard many great things about you Ms. Swan. My brother hasn't been able to shut up about you since he arrived here. He says you guys are very close friends." Oh is that what he's told his family about me. I guess he hasn't even told his family. My heart broke a little hearing those words come out of his mouth. I nodded at him.
"He has said many great things about you too,"
Michael laughed, "Edward was right you are a beautiful nice girl, maybe someday we can go on a date," We reached the end of the stair case.
"Don't hold you breath there little brother," I looked at Edward, of course memorized by him. He was wearing a black suit with a read sash under his black jacket with a white cummerbund. He looked handsome as always. Edward held out his hand for me. I slide my hand in his and went to go into the room but then suddenly he jerked me back. Crushing his lips to mine. I of course didn't object to it and instantly kissed him back.
"You look absolutely stunning tonight, love" He whispered in my ear. "Took my breath away since I saw you at the bottom of the staircase," He tilted my head up with his index finger under my chin and kissed my lips again.
"You cleaned up well yourself," I whispered back on his lips. "But Edward we are going to be late to your own party," I reminded him.
"Well As Julia Andrews says, 'Royalty is never late everyone is just simply early," I chuckled at his impression. I quickly gave him a peck on the lips one more time. As I was about to pull away he wrapped his arms around my waist and leaned me back a few inches. Shocked by his actions. He pulled away leaving me breathless, literally.
"Edward, may speak to you for a moment? We heard Esme's voice behind us right as we were about to go in. Shit! I hope she didn't catch us kissing. "Bella go enjoy the Ball dear, you may see him later," Esme smiled polity at me. I could obviously see something was wrong. I nodded and entered the room and went to go find Alice.
"Bella! Hey!" She hugged me tightly. "You look stunning Bella,"
"So do you," Alice always looked stunning. She wore a sweet heart neckline dress with straps with an A-line skirt. I saw Edward enter the room. I went to go wave to him but he ignored it and went to another girl. With Strawberry blonde hair. She was drop dead gorgeous. A little envy flared inside me watching those to be together. Alice and I found our seats at the table. "I hope I get a dance with him," Someone snorted across from us. I forgot Jessica was invited!
"Like that will ever happen!"
"Excuse me?" Taken back by her tone.
"Bella you're such a dreamer. Thinking Edward would just come here and ask you to dance. I mean you're just his room mate." Says the hypocrite I thought.
"Well looks like that blonde chick over there is taking your date Jessica," Alice cut in back firing on her.
"They are just really good friends," She awfully defended herself.
"Who is she?" I asked
"You don't know who she is!?" Jessica slammed her glass down.
"That's Princess Tanya. Sister of the Prince of Denmark who is next in line for the throne. I've seen so many newspapers about him so far since I've been here. Apparently they are close to engagement, but I doubt it she's not Prince Edward's type." Jessica turned to look at them both dancing.
"Why because she's not your friend or because she's not you," I laughed when I heard that.
Jessica turned and glared at me. "You'd never be his type Bella, I mean don't you have like three brothers and sisters and your dad still work as a police officer getting paid minimum wadge?"
"Yeah so?"
"So Edward might hang out with you but he would never go out with you, not where you come from. Plus his parents expect more of him. He wouldn't take you home to meet any royals" I was speechless to her.
"You are a real bitch Jessica," Alice scolded at her.
"Yes, so I've been told," She took a sip of her drink. I pushed away from the table and throwing my napkin down and left furious.
"Bella wait!" I heard Alice chase after me. I ran up the stair case tears filling my eyes. Alice finally caught up to me. "Bella she's a bitch don't listen to her, she knows nothing! I see the way he looks at you-"
I cut her off, "She's right he deserves more, I'm the girl he hangs out with not the girl he brings home. I should've never got involved in the first place! I was stupid to actually think that he would love me."
"Bella don't say," She wiped my tears rolling down my cheek.
"I want to go home Alice, I'll switch universities, I'll live with my mom. I'm not cut out for all this princess stuff."
Cliffhanger! READ! So when I get into more of the chapters for love scenes I know some people like to use their imaginations or do you want me to write the love scene out? I write graphic and intense but it would be loving and passionate. Please comment in the reviews! LINKS of the dresses are in my Bio!
"What Are you doing?" He clearly didn't get the clue.
"I'm leaving," I said as I zipped up my last suitcase.
