The Wedding

AN: I would like to thank Dray. Potter. tfls for betaing this chapter for me. I am sooo sorry it took so long. I had issues with the wording especially the vows. I would love to thank all the ladies that helped me through this process and I hope you know who you are. I would like to dedicate this to JenniferLupinBlack who made me a beautiful wedding banner for this chapter. I have it posted on my livejournal page under the same name. I hope you enjoyed this! Hermione was standing in the large attic at Number 12 Grimmauld Place staring out the window overlooking the street with tears running down her face. She slowly turned around when she heard the door creaking. Harry popped his head in and said, "There you are, Mione. George and I were wondering where you were hiding." Harry and George walk in and quickly shut the door. "Oh love, I wish you weren't crying. They wouldn't want that." Harry rushed over to pull her into a hug. George followed behind quietly.
"I am sorry, Harry. I just can't be happy during the holidays and you know the reason behind it," Hermione cried out.
"Did Fred and I ever tell you what we did to distract Mum from coming home right away?" Hermione shook her head. She looked up at George to hear the answer. "We first did we need to each see dad separately trick but that didn't last very long because Dad tried to have stitches the muggle way and Mum was pissed. So we asked to go to the Cannery for food, which Ron was all over it." Hermione giggled at the Dad part and rolled her eyes at the Ron part. "I know. That boy is going to eat his own house out if he does settle down with Lav-Lav." Hermione crinkled her nose at that nickname.
"Thanks, George. I don't know if we got to properly thank you and Fred for your help," said Hermione, "I did love your reaction when you found out those two being part of the Marauders." Harry and Hermione crack up at the memory. "Say George, did you get to hear about the wedding itself?" George shakes his head. "Okay, let's make a comfortable couch for us to sit because it is slightly a long story." Hermione waved her wand and a nice cushy red L-shaped couch appeared. Hermione sat down in the middle and Harry and George sat on either side of her and they each took a hand to help comfort her.
"Oh Hermione, don't leave out the part how it almost didn't happen," said Harry with a Cheshire grin. Hermione blushes.
"Oh, now I definitely need to hear this story," exclaimed George.
"I will start this story and Hermione will pick up later." Harry stated as he nudged Hermione. "It all started when you all finally get out of the house…" George nodded as Harry started the memory.
The door to 12 Grimmauld Place finally shut with the Weasley Family off to see Arthur. Hermione looks at her watch and exclaim, "THREE O'CLOCK! I WILL NEVER BE READY ON TIME!" Harry, Remus and Sirius all jump at her shouting. "IT TAKES ME HOURS TO GET READY!" She started to run upstairs to get Minerva to help her.
While she was screaming, Mrs. Black's picture opened up and started to yell, "FILTHY MUDBLOODS, FILTHY HALFBREEDS AND NO GOOD SON OF MINE…" over and over. Sirius ran over to shut the curtains and yelled, "SHUT UP YOU OLD BAT!" BANG as the curtain closed. He turned around just as Hermione got to the top of the stairs and said panicky, "We are getting married in an HOUR?"
Hermione looked down at him and screamed, "YES! YOU KNOW THIS! DON'T YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED?" Hermione ran back down the stairs to confront Sirius. "I THOUGHT YOU LOVE ME! WHAT THE HELL, SIRI!"
"Now Hermione," Remus calmly stated, "maybe Siri has a reason. You need to calm down."
"I WILL NOT CALM DOWN! EXPLAIN YOURSELF!" screeched Hermione as she looked between her two men.
Harry watched with a frightful look on his face because he hasn't Hermione this worked up before. Professor McGonagall came out of the library when the yelling started. She wanted to see how Remus handled two strong-willed people like Hermione and Sirius.
"Remus, don't you think we are rocking the cradle or does Harry think that we magicked her or maybe potioned her to marry us? She is a CHILD and we are TOO OLD FOR HER!" Sirius rambled on.
"I AM A CHILD! I AM A CHILD!" Hermione yelled. "That is rich coming from you, Sirius, who can't be serious for two seconds and I better not hear that joke!" as Hermione glared at him when he was going to say something. They start yelling at each other some more so loudly in fact that Mrs. Black joined in.
Remus and Harry looked at each other and rolled their eyes and take out their wands. Remus nodded at Harry.
"STUPIFY"
"PETRIFICULUS TOTALIS"
Remus and Harry both catch their respective friends that they just jinxed. Professor McGonagall came downstairs to follow them into the sitting room. They laid them on a couch in an awkward position. "OK, we will take the jinxes off if you two will remain calm," said Remus. After not hearing anything for a minute, Remus nod at Harry to take off his jinx on Hermione.
"Harry, I can't believe you did that to me," said Hermione.
"Hermione, Remus and I were trying to get you and Sirius to calm down. You two are blowing this way out of proportion," Harry stated calmly. Hermione took a deep breath and looked at Remus and he nodded in agreement. "Hermione, I love you as a sister but you need to relax and remember we have magic on our side to get you ready. Sirius was just having cold feet, right?" Harry glared at his godfather as he said the last bit.
Sirius gulped and nodded quickly. "I am sorry Hermione. I didn't mean to upset you right before the wedding especially since it took us longer to get them out of the house," Sirius replies softly as he took Hermione's hand. "I love you and Remus so much and it kills me that I can't even shout it to the world."
Hermione's face softened at his words. She pulled him into her arms for a hug as she looked to Remus to join them. Remus walked over and wrapped them into a big hug as Hermione whispered, "I love you both so much and can't wait to be your wife!"
Harry smiled, looked down at them and then at the clock. His eyes grew wide as he yelled; "WINKY!" making everyone jump.
"You rang, Master Harry," Winky responded.
"Could you please help Hermione get ready for the wedding that is in a half hour," asked Harry. "Hermione! Not now! We can argue this after the wedding or when we get back to Hogwarts, okay?" Harry threw his hand up to stop her argument. Hermione huffed but nodded in agreement.
Minerva interjected, "We better get a cracking before they get back. Winky, we will be in my room for her to get ready." Winky bowed to the Professor and winked away. "Boys, Albus will be awaiting in the room that we selected for ceremony when you are ready. Now follow me, Hermione." Everyone dispersed to get ready.
Hermione was sitting in front of a mirror watching her professor tie her hair back with a simple white ribbon at the base of her neck. She was wearing a simple white dress with sandals on her feet. Her makeup was light on her face with a light touch of pink lipstick. Professor McGonagall was wearing her favorite green dress robes with her hair up in an uptight bun. "Hermione, you look beautiful tonight. Those two men won't know what hit them," Minerva said with a smile.
Hermione shyly smiled and replied, "Thanks, Professor McGonagall. I don't know what I would have done the last couple of months trying to prepare for this. I should be happy that Harry bonded with Dobby and Winky and that Sirius allowed them to set up the room for us. It would have looked very suspicious if all three of us disappeared for a long period of time."
Minerva nods in understanding. "Yes, that was smart of Harry to do that and it gave Winky someone to serve. She was so unhappy last year," answered Minerva.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Come in!" answered Hermione.
Harry walked into the room and shut the door immediately. He had a stunned look on his face when he saw his best friend dressed up. "Damn, Hermione. You look absolutely beautiful. I hope that they keep their paws to themselves during the ceremony," Harry simply stated with a smile on his face.
Hermione got up and gave Harry a hug and said, "Thanks, Harry! I won't give you a hard time about Dobby and Winky because they were lifesavers for us for this bonding. We wouldn't have been able to set it up like we wanted to with the Weasleys here." Harry smiled. "I just want them to be treated right, which I know that you will. Is the room ready?"
Harry nodded excitedly and stated, "You are going to love it!" Hermione smiled. "Are you ready? Are you sure about this? What about the afterwards?"
"Yes, Harry, I am ready. I love those two men with all my heart. We decided to wait until tomorrow night to consummate the marriage because we know that Molly's cooking for the Christmas Dinner will knock everyone out into a food coma."
Harry gave Hermione thumbs up and turned to look at Minerva and asks, "Professor?" Minerva gives him an affirmation nod. "Could you cast a spell that would let you know that there is someone in the entrance way in case they come back early? I just thought of it and I don't think either of the other two thought about that."
"Certainly, Mister Potter, I will have it let me know if there is someone and I will give a cat's meow if it goes off," Professor McGonagall explained. Harry and Hermione nod in understanding. "I will go do that now before we take Hermione to the other room." Minerva exited the room for two minutes and as she came back into the room, they see her put her wand back up the sleeve. "Shall we?" Harry took her left arm so he could take his place between her and Sirius as McGonagall took her right arm so she take her place between her and Remus.
They walked down the hallway quickly to get to the special room. Hermione was starting to get nervous. Harry took a quick glance at her and said, "Don't worry, Mione. They are nervous too." Hermione took a deep breath and her body relaxed. "Professor and I are going to go into the room first and let you have a minute to look at the set up before you walk towards your husbands-to-be." Hermione nodded in understanding as they got to the door. Harry opened the door and gestured Minerva to go in first before helping Hermione through the door and shutting it behind him.
Hermione's jaw dropped at the sight. She didn't even feel like she was at Sirius's place anymore. She loved Elf magic! She slowly took in the room. The room was enlarged by the magic of Dobby and Winky. It reminded her of the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts. The room was magnificent. In the middle of the room was a large pond, which Hermione suspected that the twins had created. There were floating glass pieces in the water for everyone to stand on during the ceremony. Three of them will interconnect before the ceremony start. Floating around the glass pieces are white lilies and the surrounding the pond was white wildflowers, except a strip of green grass leading to the pond. The sky was powder blue with fluffy clouds. If felt like a beautiful summer day.
Albus was standing facing the wedding party in a flashy gold robes with white trim along the sleeves. Sirius was standing on the left wearing black linen pants with a crisp white shirt. Remus was standing to her right wearing brown linen pants with a crisp ecru shirt. They both have wide smiles on their faces when she finally looked at her men, which let her let go of her breath that she wasn't aware that she was holding. She smiled back at them as she slipped out of her sandals to walk towards the pond. The grass felt warm under her feet.
Harry and Minerva were waiting for her to help her step onto the glass. After they helped her, the glass glided toward Sirius and Remus. The glass lightly tapped the other two and she heard a slight click to connect them. Albus glided his glass closer to theirs' while Harry and Minerva floated closer to the trio as their witnesses. Sirius and Remus turn inward to form a semicircle as Albus had closed that circle when he joined them. Sirius put his left hand out and Hermione put hers on top with Remus on top of them both; they interweaved their fingers together to show their love and their bond between them. The three of them took a collective breath before looking at the Headmaster to start.
"Are we ready to begin?" asked Albus. All five of them nod in acquiesce. Albus raised his arms as he spoke, "We are gathered here this evening to celebrate this spiritual bonding between Sirius Orion Black, Hermione Jean Granger and Remus John Lupin. They have shown how much compassion and love they have for each other. They are not going to let the outsiders ruin their bond between themselves."
Hermione looked at her two men with a smile on her face. She couldn't believe it was finally happening. Her heart swelled some more hearing the Headmaster's words. She noticed that her fellow husbands-to-be were looking back and forth between her and themselves. She can see and feel the love amongst them. She snapped out of her musings when she heard the professor ask if anyone had any issues to speak now. It was a long quiet minute for her.
"Sirius, would you like to start your vows for Remus and Hermione?" asked Albus.
Sirius took a deep breath as he nodded. He turned slightly toward them to look them in their eyes as he spoke gruffly with emotion, "Remus and Hermione, I just want to say that I can't think of any two people I would rather be married to. You, Remus had my soul from the moment I met you. It just took us a bit to realize what it meant. Hermione, you might have been apprehensive at first but I could tell once you took the time to know me, you fell hard and I felt and did the same back. Remus got lucky to know you a bit for a year even if it was strictly professional. My love for the both of you grew immensely as the year or so went by. I didn't want to waste any more time apart." Sirius took another deep breath. "I, Sirius Orion, take Remus John and Hermione Jean, to be my spiritually wedded bond mates, to have and to hold, through sickness and health to this day forward."
Hermione and Remus were crying at Sirius's words. They have moved them both. Hermione could hear Minerva sniffling at the words and what sounds like gentle throat clearings from Harry. She looked at Remus to see how he was taking it and saw his tears rolling down with awe in his eyes. Hermione slightly shook her head because she knew that there were times that Remus didn't believe in their love not matter how many times they tell him.
Albus cleared his throat and calmly said, "Remus, would you like to go with your vows?"
Remus straightened up a bit and turned in a bit to look at his two loves as Sirius stepped back into his place of the circle. Remus cleared his throat and softly said, "I was astounded that I was able to find one wolf mate early in my time but you can imagine my shock when I stumbled and found a second wolf or bond mate. Sirius and Hermione you both amaze me with your love and affection and you snap me out of it when I try to let my furry little issue get in the way of our relationship. You have accepted me for who I am and I am eternally grateful for it. You two are my rock and pillars when I feel down and out. Thank you for your love and support. I can't wait to see how this marriage progress as time goes on." Remus took a shaky breath as he noticed that he moved everyone in the room with his vows. "I, Remus John take Sirius Orion and Hermione Jean to be my spiritual bonded mates to have and to hold and through sickness and health for the rest of my days."
Hermione's eyes were streaming with tears and Sirius's eyes were slightly bloodshot. Hermione could see that even Albus was trying not to get affected by the words of her two mates. Albus looked at her and said, "Hermione, if you are ready, you may begin."
Hermione lightly wiped her eyes with her right hand. She tugged her left one slightly to get them to turn slightly towards her. She softly cleared her throat and spoke, "I am deliriously happy right now. I am getting married to two gentlemen who have my heart. Remus when you first told me that we bonded through your wolf mate, I was scared at first but that disappeared quickly because I knew that your gentle soul wouldn't allow it to override you as a person. I couldn't ask for a better first partner. Sirius, I knew after Harry and I rescued you that you would be a kind soul that would need both Remus's and I gentle touch to help soothe. I love you both with all my heart and every day that I spend with you, it just grows in leaps and bounds. I can't wait to spend more time with you when I can." Hermione took a quick breath. Harry had a smile on his tear streaked face because he remembered the first time he met her when she spoke rapidly without taking a breath. Sirius and Remus looked astounded by her feat. "I, Hermione Jean, take Sirius Orion and Remus John to be my spiritual bond mates to have and to hold and through sickness and health from this day forward." Hermione squeezed their hands before letting the right one go. Sirius and Remus went back to the spots to face Albus for the rest of the ceremony.
Albus raised his wand hand to conjure a white bonding cord. "This bonding cord was selected by all three as their color. Its beauty verifies their spiritual purity that they have for one another. It shows how truth goes beyond anything else. It also brings peace and serenity through their trials and tribulations and lastly their wholehearted devotion to one another. Let this be a sign of truth, love and devotion to each other." Albus tapped their intertwined left hand with the white cord. It wrapped itself around their hands and vanished after it knotted itself. It left a faint white marking around their left ring finger along with a slash along the hand. The three of them had awed looks on their faces that the magic worked. It was rumored that a white cord bonding was based on pure love. If it didn't work, the white cord would erupt into flames; the three look at Albus.
He smiled at them as he raised his hands. "Harry and Minerva, please repeat after me." The two witnesses raised their wands as they wait for the words to bind these three together spiritually. "I will promise to help the bonded to fulfill their vows to the best of their ability." Harry and Minerva repeated after him. "I promise to advise them if they ask for it." Harry and Minerva again repeated the statement. "I promise to prank them when they need to lighten up." All five of them look at Albus with shock on their faces. "Just kidding. Shall we continue?" All of them nodded in agreement after a bit of light laughter.
"By the spiritual power of Merlin, I grant thee Sirius, Hermione and Remus as one bonded mates. You may kiss each other" Sirius, Hermione and Remus move their heads together and pressed their lips together. There was a brief flash of light and a small shower of white stars from their witness's wands to show they were bonded together. Suddenly there was a MEOW.
Hermione jumped back in surprise and slipped on the glass. She went sliding off her glass into the water. "Minerva! Who is it?" asked Harry.
"It is the twins. They seem to be trying to stop Ronald from trying to find you two," stated the professor. "Albus, can you send a spell that would make Ronald want to eat instead." Albus nodded and quickly adverted Ronald to go down to the kitchen and taking Molly with him to make something for him.
"Oh my Merlin, Hermione, are you alright?" asked Harry as he, Sirius and Remus helped her out of the water. She looked like a drenched cat. She was soaked from head to toe and her eyeliner ran down her cheeks. Her white dress clung to her body; it was making her feel a little self-conscious with her new husbands.
"I am so sorry, Hermione," Minerva said solemnly. "I didn't mean to meow that loud. Ronald caught me by surprise with how fast he was moving."
Hermione waved her off and started laughing, which got Sirius and Remus laughing. "I'm sorry. I know this isn't funny but what a perfect ending," said Hermione. "I am going to go change into something else before going to the kitchen. See you later, boys." Hermione winked at Sirius and Remus before sauntering out. She knew that she was in trouble tomorrow night by the looks on their faces. Harry followed her out just in case he had to run interference for her before she got to her room to change.
"So George, what do you think?" asked Hermione.
George was laughing at the last bit. "That was awesome and that would explain why your hair was all wet. Yes, that pond was our creation. You got to see the first trial of it. I am glad that it mostly worked out. Sorry I couldn't totally stop Ron from nearly finding you then."
Hermione waved him off. "Don't worry about it. The ceremony was basically over anyways and you got to meet your mentors." George smiled at that comment. "OK, I want something to eat. Shall we go to the kitchen or call Winky to bring us something?"
"WINKY!" called Harry.
"You rang, Master Harry?" asked Winky.
"Yes, I did. Could you bring us something to eat along with a spot of tea?" asked Harry.
"Certainly, Master Harry," said Winky. She snapped her fingers and a large low table loading with food and two pots of tea appeared; then she popped out.
"Let's eat!" said George as he dove into the food making Harry and Hermione smile as they remembered their old friend, Ron, doing the same thing before picking out food for themselves.
