Chapter 25
I went up to the lady at the desk. The airport wasn't that crowded. Many business people around. I nervously pulled out all the money I had.
"Excuse me I need a one ticket to London please. The earliest one you have."
"Our next earliest flight leaves in about fifteen minute. In fact they are boarding now." I got out all five credit cards and all the cash in my wallet. Once she counted the money which seemed like forever I actually had a couple hundred left for a hotel. I grabbed the ticket out of her hand and sped down to security. I dashed down to the gate. I looked like one of those people running like a mad person just so they don't miss their flight. I showed the lady my ticket and quickly got on the plane.
When I finally found my seat I relaxed and caught my breath. The flight was twelve hour flight. It felt as long as it sounds. I couldn't help but re-read the letter over and over again. I decided to take a nap one the way there. By the time I woke up it was time to land. Once I landed I took a taxi to the cheapest hotel I could find. The long trip was exhausting, but I'm grateful I got a lot of sleep on the plane.I decided to take a walk in the park across the street. As I was walking the place seemed very familiar. Then I realized it was the place Edward and I had our picnic. Suddenly my shoulder bumped into someone.
"Oh I'm sorry," I apologized.
"Bella?" He seemed to recognize me. I looked at him for a moment processing in my mind who he was. "It's me, Michael. Edward's brother." Finally it hit me.
"Oh! Michael hey. I knew the paparazzi couldn't be after me," He chuckled. "You're here to see Edward aren't you?" He predicted.
"No I just-"
"You're a terrible liar," He was right. I sucked at lying. "I'm so glad you're here. Edward has been living through hell. Setting up all this engagement crap with Tanya the wicked witch of the west." She's making everyone's life miserable, except my fathers." He paused. "Are you going to the ball tonight?"
"No I was just on my way to tell him,"
"He is very busy right now, and you can't get in the palace without permission." Great how will I ever get to him now! I thought. "Will you allow me to escort you to the ball?"
"I would, but I don't have anything nice to wear. " I examined my rags I rushed with to the airport.
"Bella, please I will already have a dress delivered waiting for you back at the hotel. "
I was shocked. "Oh wow, thanks. " By the time we got back to my hotel there was a blue gown waiting for me laid out on my bed. The gown was gorgeous. The dress was a Caribbean Blue with two traps making it look like a halter. The dress tightened around the waist and flowed out into an A-line. I ran my finger down the dress as I slipped it on me. There were a pair or simple silver heel sandals on the side of the dress. I put on some simple make up I brought with. I let my hair flow down in waves. Finally I met Michael down in the lobby. He was wearing a simple tuxedo and held a velvet red box. I walked towards him smiling. Amazing how fast guys can change. I gave him a hug thanking him for the beautiful dress.
"Now for the finishing touch," He opened the box. I gasped at how gorgeous and stunning it was. He took it and places the tiara on my head.
"To compete with a princess, you must look like one yourself." He smirked.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I slightly tapped the tiara.
"Please, Only reason Edward is marrying that bitch is because he thought he lost his live when he knew you didn't love him anymore." I do love him. I've always loved him. "Come one we don't want to be late." We got into the car and drove off to the palace. When we got there, we went into a secret drive through. Michael led me out and followed me into the Palace. The place looked crowded with people. Cars coming from all entrances. Different languages being spoken in different parts of the room.
"I must go speak to my father. I will walk in with you just right through those big wooden doors," He pointed out for me. I nodded. My patients grew a little once he didn't come back to walk me into the room. I was nervous to go in there by myself. The entrance room was already empty. I sigh and decided to go in myself. I took a deep breath opening the double wooden I was walking in I realized they was an edge...
It was a balcony looking over the grand ball room with two stair cases on either side. The room automatically got silent and I had all eyes on me...
