Chapter 28

I woke up to the feel of someone caressing up and down my bare back. I lifted my head off his chest and looks at him smiling. "Good morning,"

"Morning," Edward brought my lips to his. I kissed him back deeper not wanting to pull away. He wrapped his arms around my torso.

"Last night was amazing," I murmured against his lips. He smiled on mine then kissed everywhere on my face. A giggle broke through my lips.

"It was beautiful," He looked in my eyes and put a strand of hair behind my ear.

"I wish we can stay like this forever."

"Me too, love," I laid my head back down on his chest letting the sunlight burn on my face. The sound of Edward's phone made us both jump in shock. He quickly got his phone and looked at his text messages. He let out a big sigh after putting his phone down. "My parents are looking for me. They have the secret service out looking for me." He said covering his eyes with his arms.

I looked down. I leaned down to give him a quick kiss on the lips before getting up. He half smiled and got up wit me, changing into a pair of pants. I changed into a blouse with jeans with a pair of flats. Edward came up and hugged me from behind making me jump.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you," I let out a small laugh, turning behind him kissing his smile. He kissed me back softly, before opening the door for me. Of course by the time we made it down stairs to the lobby there was a mob of people with their cameras.

Shit! I thought to myself. I turned around and hid myself in Edward's chest. Wrapping his arms around me. then kissed the top of my head. His hand slowly slid down to the middle of my back leading me out the door. My name was being called from all different directions. I covered my face as much as I could with my hand. Edward pushed them away leading a path for me to walk through. Finally seemed like forever until we got into the cab. I don't even know how they go the information to where I was staying. The car started driving pretty fast to the palace. We also had two other cars behind us.

Once we got to the palace everyone was standing in the main hall. Including Tanya who ran into his arms breaking our hands apart. Esme's face was relieved Edward was just alright and home. His dad's face was to hard to tell. He lips were set into a hard straight line with his hand behind his back.

"Edward we were so worried about you. Where have you gone?" Esme said while coming over by us. Giving me a gentle hug then Edward.

"I know I'm sorry," Edward said apologetically.

"Why don't we all go calm down and eat breakfast in the dinning hall?" Esme suggested.

"Splendid!" Tanya squealed. "Oh Edward, I have so much to tell you! And update on." She pulled on Edward's arms dragging him out of the room. Esme followed shortly after them. I sighed watching from a distance.

"It's good to see you again Ms. Swan," A voice behind me startled me. I turned around to see Edward's father smiling at me.

"You too, your highness." I did a small curtsey.

"May I escort you to breakfast," He held his arm out for me. I half smiled taking his arms walking with him. "It was a surprise seeing you at the party yesterday."

"Yes, well I wanted to wish him a well for his engagement." He smirked not buying it. By the time we could talk more we were already to the room. Thank god! Edward was already sitting down by the edge of the table with of course Tanya sitting on his other side. Esme sat across from Edward on the other edge. The only seat open was the seat across from Tanya and next to Esme with the chair already pulled out for me. I took my seat, placing the napkin on my lap. Carlisle took his seat as the head of the table. The servants brought out a plethora of food for us to chose from. I only ate a bit. I was the first one to finish. I tuned out a little. Didn't feel like listening to Carlisle speak about the Parliament. Suddenly Tanya's voice caught my attention with she said engagement.

"Edward's you are going to love the decorations your mom and I have picked out! The theme color is navy blue." Navy blue? It's a wedding not a funeral. "Oh, I also have the cutest table center pieces..." She went on about how she set up for the "wedding" I looked over at Edward giving me faces as she spoke. He looked like he wanted to live in a different world or bored out of his mind. tried to hold in my laugh biting my lip. "Bella tell us about yourself?" My eyes widen she she called my name.

"Bella come's from the most loving sweet family, She has two sisters. Her youngest sister is six now, her name is Abigail. Second sister is named Angela she's sixteen years old. And Bella has an older brother Emmet. He father is Chief Swan of the police in Forks, Washington. Bella wants to be a doctor, she's highly educated and is currently working in a hospital now as an inter." Edward explain everything for me. It got silent after he spoke his last words.

"Well I'm sure Ms. Swan could have spoken for herself, but thank you Edward." Carlisle said. Tanya's phone started ringing. she jumped a little quickly grabbing her phone.

"Oh so sorry, I'm late for the appointment with the wedding planner." She got up and kissed Edward on the cheek dashing out of the room.

Carlisle had to leave to go get some work done. It was just Edward, Esme, and I. We walked out to the patio for some tea and crumpets. Edward was telling his mom about our days at college. I sat there listening with my hands tangled with Edward's under the table. A gust of wind had blown and I shivered rubbing my arms.

"I'll go get you a sweater," Edward smiled at me getting up.

Once he left Esme scooted her chair closer to mine.

"He's glowing when he's around you." Esme grinned. "I've never seen him so happy. I wish Carlisle would see that." I smiled.

"Thank you, your majesty."
