Chapter 29
Third Person Pov
Edward finally starting walking back to his mother and Bella. Until his father called him over to his office.
"Edward a word." His voice was strict with his index finger indicating for him to go. Edward's face got annoyed by how many time his father has lectured him. He slowly walked into the office. Carlisle was already sitting in his chair. "I hope you weren't doing anything last night that you will regret later." Confused by his father's words.
"What do you mean...?" Edward spoke slowly sitting down in front of his father. Carlisle only shook his head and slammed the newspaper down. With the front cover of the page of Bella and him leaving the hotel. Edward's eyes widen as he tensed up clenching his fist.
"Where did you get that?" He grabbed the paper throwing it off the desk.
"Doesn't take long for news to travel, you know that."
"Father, I love her. You can't stop me from seeing her." Carlisle sighed at his response.
"Edward just be careful. And you better explain this to Tanya. She has already found out." Of course she did, Edward thought.
"I can't do this, I can't marry Tanya. She's a nice girl and all but my heart belongs to Bella."
"Son you didn't say this couple days ago."
"That was before I found out Bella still loved me."
"Enough Edward" He snapped. "You are excused silently." Edward got out of the chair furious with his dad. He went out to the gardens to meet up with Bella. He smiled once he saw Bella. The light in his eye lit up as he grabbed her wrist and crushing his lips to hers. She felt the tensity and pulled away.
"Whats wrong?" She looked up at him.
"My father doesn't understand anything," He said putting the sweater over her shoulders. She looked down at her feet feeling bad for him.
"Hey don't worry , I'll fix this. " He lifted her chin up looking into her eyes. She slowly leaned in for a kiss making it last as long as it could. Edward wrapped his arms around her kissing her forehead. "Why don't you go back to your hotel and fix yourself up and I will take out tonight for an amazing dinner." Bella nodded her head trying to get the words out.
"Yeah. That sounds good." He smiled and walked her out to a small limo ordering the driver to take her back to the hotel. He hated saying good bye to her. Even if it was just for a little bit. He couldn't wait to see her. This dinner had to be the most amazing dinner to make up for what he's lost. He made his way back to the room while making reservation for this special night.
"You love her." A voice came from behind him. He stopped and turned trying to find the voice. Then s women appeared from the shadows behind a wall. Surprised to see Tanya was there. He looked at her with a bit sadness in his eyes for her. He did in fact try to fall in love with her but couldn't. He loved her, not in love with her.
"Tanya you have frighten me. I didn't see you there,"
"I see it. In your face. In your eyes, in your body language." Her arms folded across her chest.
"Tanya let me explain," He stopped her.
"Explain what, because I think the papers explain it all." She held up the front cover of the paper in his face. "Why was my fiancee spending the night at a hotel with his ex." He looked at her ashamed.
"I had to see her. I love her!" He finally let it out.
She stayed quiet for a moment and whispered, "Not exactly what a girl wants to hear..."
"I know the truth is painful," He confronted her. A firm nod came from her and walked away. He watched her with pain punching him in the stomach.
The driver opened the door for Bella to get out. Still amazed from the service she got she got out slowly. She felt like she should tip the driver but then she realized it was his job. The excitement in her rushed into her chest. When she got to her room she a rush of cold wind gave her goosebumps. She couldn't remember if she left the window open.
Slowly she walked deeper inside the room. Suddenly hearing a crushing sound beneath her feet. Looking down, she saw tiny pieces of glass scattered around the bedroom. Covering her hands on her mouth preventing herself to scream. Turning she saw the suitcase were emptied, and her bag was stolen. Immediately she pulled out her cell phone speed dialing Edward's number.
"Hello?" He answered on the first ring as always.
"Edward come quick." She rushed the words out of her mouth. The line on the other side has an engine starting in the background. She ran downstairs to the front desk explaining what she has witnessed. Edward always ran into the lobby attaching to Bella's side.
"What happened?" He looked at her then the front desk guy.
"Ms. Swan claims she has been robbed."
"I know I have, go look for yourself!"
"Relax, we have detectives already examining the room." He rolled his eyes up. Edward wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her close to his side. He kissed the top of her head.
"Where was your room?" He said against her hair.
"207 Second floor," She paced back and forth anxious.
"Bella don't worry we will find everything."
Edward my whole life was in that bag! pass port, credit cards, tablet everything!"
"Maybe you just lost it? I mean you're room is on the second floor the robber couldn't of gotten up there,"
"Things like that just don't disappear!"
