Chapter 30

Esme walked into Carlisle's office and patiently waited at the frame for him to get off the phone, turn around and notice her. Carlisle felt someone behind him so her turned around and sat in his chair, automatically looking at Esme with a smile on his face. He didn't want to keep his wife waiting, after a couple more minutes he finally hung up. He got up from his seat and went over wrapping his arms around Esme from behind. Esme stayed motionless.

"Something wrong, my dear?" He kissed her cheek with his arms stills around her. Her response was silent continuing to stay still as a statue. "Esme?" Again with a silent response. Looking over at his desk to distract her from him, she saw a picture with young Edward and Michael with their dad. She slightly smiled as she remembered when that was taken. "Esme, sweetheart I have asked you twice now and I get a silent response. They are killing me here."

"Edward is unhappy," Immediately his arms fell.

"Esme don't start with me on this conversation. I hear it from Edward everyday. I know he's unhappy." He walked back to his seat rubbing his temples together.

"If you know he's unhappy why aren't you listening to him."

"Because Esme, I've worked very hard to get him where he needs to be as future king. And I'm not going to let some girl get in the way of that," He snapped at Esme. She looked at him glaring.

"Edward is trying to tell you something and unless you want to start looking for a new wife you better start listening to me." Standing firm on what she said. She knew the consequence if she divorced him. He wouldn't be able to be king and it would automatically go to Edward. She knew Edward wouldn't take the crown yet, so if would go to Carlisle's cousin, who Carlisle loathed with passion. Taken a back by her response.

"Edward doesn't want to marry Tanya. She's a lovely girl, but he loves Bella. You're the one getting in the way of him and Bella's love."

"Esme I'm not letting Edward give up the thrown for a girl. Arrange marriages aren't bad. We were in one, my great grandparents were in one."

"This is modern day Carlisle get with it! If we aren't careful we are going to lose him. He will hate us for making him marry her. He is your son, his feelings come first before his reputation. Now I don't know what you've said to already damage him but you better fix this. I mean it. " Esme stormed out of the room in rage of furry leaving Carlisle speechless.

Later on that night the maids set up the guest room for Bella to stay in. The same room as last time when she came to visit. Edward and Bella were laying in the bed together. Their body entwine with one another. Her head resting on his chest. Him stroking her bare back. They laid still and tired, giving kisses every five minutes. Bella was still stiff and tensed up from her unexpected break in.

"Do you think they will find him?" Her voice whispered in the midnight air.

"I won't have them stop until they do," He looked at her trying to be comforting.

The sun shone brightly through the window waking Edward up. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the beautiful women sleeping besides him. Slowly he got up to close the curtains. Bella was a sound a sleep mumbling a bit in her dreams. He smiled at her while getting dressed. He thought he would surprise her by making some coffee for when she got up. As he started making his way downstairs his father's voice stopped him.

"Edward..." Slowly Edward made his way to his father's office. "I'm sorry." Edward was shocked to hear those words come out of his mouth. Those words must have tasted like vinegar coming out of his mouth he thought. "I'm sorry I've been so hard on you, I know you think all I care about is the kingdom. But mostly I care about you and your happiness. You are my son and forever will be I just didn't have my priorities straight."

"Dad, I want to please you and do everything you ask me too. But you just ask for more and I can't give my heart to someone when someone else already has it."

"I realize that now. Which is why I called you in here. I now give you my blessing to marry the girl you chose." Edward couldn't believe what his father just said. He didn't know what to feel. The excitement wanted to burst out of him, he couldn't hide his smile. Carlisle saw the joy in Edward's face making him smile as well.

"Go get out of here before I change my mind," He teased him. Edward nodded never wanting to forget this moment. He rushed back to Bella crushing his lips to hers waking her up. It took her a second to realize what was going on. Quickly she grasped for air, looking up at him with loving eyes.

"What a great way to wake up to. I could get use to that." She giggles and pulled him in for another kiss.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door interrupting them. Edward growled unnoticeable annoyed they always got interrupted.

"I'm sorry sir but your parent's have sent me up here to inform you breakfast is now being served."

"Thank you, David." his head down with my hand capping his neck. Bella deeply sighed and got up getting dress. They made their way down there eating breakfast with everyone else.

"So are you ever going to tell me what that kiss was for?" Bella couldn't stop glowing

"I can't kiss a beautiful girl?," He whispered into her ear teasing her. She rolled her eyes playfully taking a seat at the table.

"Bella, Dear how are you feeling today?" Esme smiled across from her.

"Better to be out of that place. Thank you for asking"

"After breakfast, I figured you and I can get you some clothes and a temporally passport."

"Oh you don't have to do that, I can get a job and pay for the passport,"

"Well then we will definitely buy you new clothes."

"Thank you so much you majesty," Bella really appreciated all they have done for her so far. She wasn't expecting them to buy her new clothes. Bella didn't want to leave Esme waiting so she quickly finished her breakfast in three bites as usual.

"Edward, Bella and I are going to do some shopping we will be back later tonight, unless you want to come with." Edward automatically shook his head.

"Nope you two have fun." He went over and kissed Bella on the lips good bye. After Esme and her went off. Edward let out a big sigh already missing Bella. To kill the time he decided to go the library and catch up on some reading.

Reading most the book made him go straight to sleep. "Edward?" A hand lightly touched his shoulder. He jumped startle. He looked up confused, looking around the room and finally noticed Tanya standing in front of him.

"Oh Tanya it's just you... " She gave him the slightest smile. He looked at her confused and sat up in the chair.

"I have to show you something." She said pulling him up leading him, holding his hand to the bathroom. "I'm pregnant," She said to him holding out the test in front for him to see. Edward was shocked from the news just barely able to adjust his eyes to the sign. He saw a blue cross. This can't be he thought.

"This has to be false," Tanya shook her head and showed him three more tests with the exact sign. "But...but... impossible we never..." He tried to remember and find the words in his mouth without hurting her.

"You don't remember? We were out at a party with Nick," That explains it he thought. "You got really drunk and you claimed you weren't and yea everything went on from there," Edward shook his head rubbing his temples with his fingers. He sworn he's never slept with her but he has gotten very drunk when he's been with Nick.

"Edward, aren't you happy? This is what you and your dad have always wanted. A full blood prince," She smiled excited.
