Prompt: IfYouLoveSomeoneTellThem: Japril are together when the bus exploded in the season 9 final and how that changes what would go down after it and when Jackson was inside the bus.

Notes: I hope you like it! I'm so sorry it took me so long to get this one out. Tell me if I went in the right direction or if I am completely off. I re- wrote this prompt ten different times and this is the one I liked the most. Please review, follow, and favorite.

"Avery!"

April runs towards the flaming bus. Matthew tries to grab her, but she shakes him off. Everyone screams after her but she doesn't listen. "JACKSON!" Where is he? April spots him through the smoke with a little girl in his arms.

"JACKS-" April is cut off by the bus exploding. She gets slammed back and her head cracks on the ground. Her world goes black.

Jackson walks out of the smoke and hands Evie to the crying mother. Matthew touches Jackson's shoulder and he winces. "What is it?"

"April, where's April?" Jackson is confused, why would he know. "She ran after you! You don't have any idea where she is?"

Jackson is shocked. He heard her screaming for him but he thought it was his imagination. Jackson runs towards the flaming bus and starts to look for her. Matthew follows him and they try to see her through the rain.

"There!" Matthew points to her body and they run to her.

Jackson checks her over quickly as possible. "She has a few burns. Why did you let her chase after me?"

"I tried, I tried to stop her."

"Well, you didn't try hard enough." Jackson snaps at Matthew.

They get her on a gurney and start to check her vitals and make sure she's ok. Callie pulls Jackson in a bed right beside April so he can watch over her while Callie fixes his dislocated shoulder. "What was she thinking? Why the hell did she go after me?"

Callie smiles at him and shrugs. "She obviously still cares for you very much. If it was you in her position, what would you do?" Callie snaps his arm back into place and Jackson lets out a painful groan.

"Probably the same thing, but Matthew should've grabbed her." Callie leaves the room and Jackson stares at April.

She slowly wakes up and smiles at him. "You're ok, I was so worried about you-"

"What are you doing? April, you're getting married. You shouldn't be chasing after me and almost killing yourself!"

Tears form in her eyes. "When the bus was about to explode I knew, I knew I had to try to save you. You couldn't be gone, I need you. I don't want Matthew, I know you don't want Steph. Jackson I haven't been fair or nice to you but I want you, your apart of me."

Jackson doesn't know if he should kiss her or slap her. "Why? Why are you saying this! Everything is so screwed up and I can't. I don't, I don't, I uh I don't."

April sits up and hisses at the pain of her burns. "Say Jackson, say it and mean it. Then we will go back to normal, just tell me what you feel!" The noise of thunder fills the room.

Why was this so hard? "I love you, ok? I never believed in the whole soul mate thing, and with you I do. I love how your curls look in the morning. I love how fast you talk and neurotic you get, but it's cute." April grabs him and kisses him. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

April nods and kisses him again. "If something feels really good, it can't be bad, right?"
