Kaci woke up to the feeling of someone tracing over a pattern on her bare shoulder, "Genesis. What are you doing?"
"Waiting for you to wake up," he said and left a kiss on her shoulder. Kaci rolled over and found him laying on her bed next to her, a smile playing on his lips, "Morning, goddess," he kissed her.
"Gen," she pulled away, "How long have you laying here?"
"An hour," he got up and walked to the middle of the room and stretched, his shoulders popping in the process. Kaci smirked as she looked at his muscular back, only imagining what he unclothed chest looked like. "Like what you see?" Kaci realized that had turned around and she now had full view of his chest.
She leaned back and smiled more, hoping that would hide her on coming blush. "I'm taking that as a yes," Genesis said. Kaci fingered the bottom of her black shorts and looked down to see she was in a black camisole, as well. She vaguely remembered getting out of the shower and putting on this before going to sleep. Kaci threw back the blanket and got up out of the bed to stand at the small window.
Genesis wrapped his arms around her waist and moved her hair from her shoulder. Her hair lay in lots of little wave-curl things, as her hair curled when she slept with it wet. "Did you contact Reno last night?" she asked.
"Yes, I did. He'll be here in three hours. It's seven, now," Genesis replied. She leaned back and felt his chest against her shoulder blades. "I'll go down and grab some breakfast, Kace," he kissed her cheek and walked into the bathroom to put on his uniform.
Kaci chuckled and went back to the bed. She sat on it for a few minutes until Genesis came out in uniform. He carried her balled up uniform. She looked up just as he hurled the clothing at her, "Be dressed when I get back," he demanded and closed the door.
Kaci laughed a little and went to get dressed. She put on some makeup and brushed out her hair after getting dressed. Genesis came back holding two plates of food.
He looked her up and down, "Your hair looked nice when it was curled."
She shrugged, "I needed to brush it."
Kaci and Genesis ate in silence and spent the next hour talking about a few things. "Come on, Kace."
"Where are we going?" Kaci sheathed her sword.
"Surprise," he smirked.
"Genesis, I'm fully awake now, you can't do that anymore," she told him.
"Fine. We're going down to meet the mayor, does that meet your requirements?"
She gave him a fleeting kiss, "Yes it does."
The mayor sat behind his wooden desk. The hall wasn't grand, but it was what one would expect from a city the size of this one. Kaci was surprised it had mayor; as most towns this size were run by Shinra. "Ah, our saviors are here!" he stood up.
Kaci cringed, now that he wasn't scared his voice was rather high pitched and just grating. "I want to thank you so much for getting rid of those terrible monsters." He shivered and clenched his eyes when he said terrible. What kind of person is this?
"Sir," the mayor turned his attention to Kaci, "We will also be able to relay any messages you may have for Shinra," she said.
"Nope, nothing I can think of. You two are leaving in an hour correct?"
The two nodded, "Excellent, the city will take care of you expenses, and we all thank you for your act."
"It's our job, sir," Kaci said. The mayor nodded and the two SOLDIERS left his office.
An hour later Kaci and Genesis were heading back to Midgar. They had been successful in their mission and also with their relationship.
