We all fall from time to time, sometimes we just need someone to pull us back. Someone who believes is us enough to show us what we are coming, for the monsters that we are all capable of turning into.
The choking taste of thick dust filled the air, a small figure could be seen desperately clawing up at the rubble it was buried in. The rubble itself seemed to be an old residential building. Which of course had managed to collapse onto the residents lying within, burying its residents, creating there own tomb out of what was once a loving home. Filling the air also, was the thunderous sounds of gun fire. Blue and Red lasers filled the red sky. The sounds of screams, cry's for help followed, in the distance more buildings were already falling on the distance.
The small figure from before had managed to find itself out from its tomb, pulling its head from the rubble, desperately taking in long deep breaths, a lot of terror plastered on its face. It turned it head up towards the sky as the screaming zooming of starfighters went passed, explosions soon followed as one of those ship suffered a direct hit, crashing into the dessert. The figure seemed to be an early teen. She turned to see something in the distance, her eyes lighting up.
"Jacob...Help me"
Another loud boom broke across the sky, snapping her attention back towards it. Unfortunately, it was another crashing starfighter, yet this one was coming straight for her.
"Jacob"
"Jacob...please HELP ME"
Yet any chance of that happening was quickly extinguished. The starfighters engine exploded as it picked up speed, parts of it breaking off as soon came to a screeching halt on top of the poor figures location. A blood curdling scream broke out across the landscape.
"No"
Jacob examined, as he leaned up against his black wooden bed frame, his face a red sweating mess. He moved his hand to run across his face, his body heaving, puffing out his checks as he moved his head against his pillows. To late to go back to sleep, to early to get up...well then again he remembered who his master was. No doubt, he would have sensed his nightmare, how he was not sure however he always seemed to know when he had one. His tired eyes blinking as he examined his bland bedroom, surprising, despite constantly being told that he shouldn't deny himself anything in his training. He was denied anything that would help his bedroom look more like a home, less like a cell which it was doing a good job of looking like.
The walls were black and the floor was white. Nothing, that was the best way to describe what his room was. A depressing nothingness he was forced to exist in. He sighed gently as he moved to sit on the edge of his bed, it had been awhile since he had to suffer one of those nightmare's, he had hoped that he had outgrown it. That he had come to terms with it, it seems none of that was true, not matter how much he wanted it to be.
Jacob ran his free hand through his black, messy and un brushed hair. He knew he would have to make himself presentable from his master, even if he was expecting to meet him just yet. He knew that he liked to make unexpected visits to his room, as well as improv training sessions. If he was not presentable, he would be punished.
Jacob groaned as he rolled out of bed, kicking his bed sheets onto the floor as he did so, making a note to pick it up later. Or hell make one of the druids do for him. He let out a quick chuckle on that thought as he stood up, that was the only positive on his new life, when he was growing up he certainly wouldn't have had that option. Another yawn broke out from the young man, Jacob had never been a morning person, nor a afternoon person if he was going to be completely honest. A fact he knew his master loved.
When he was younger and a lot more naïve, he would regular loose his temper during the training. An action that was matched quiet happily with the painful force of his masters lighting. In fact, Jacob had to suffer so much of that form of 'punishment' during his early years, he had become effectively immune to the pain of it. It still hurt, yet more like a dull stabbing needles being plunged into his skin, less like being thrown in hot lava.
"The only good thing about being shocked i guess, you don't tend to mind it after awhile" Jacob commented, a humorlessly chuckle escaping his mouth as he headed to his wardrobe. Like the rest of the room, it was dull. Lifeless, only having a mirror attached to it. The one and only costumed item in his room, well more like in his life if he was going to be honest. Taking a look into the mirror to see his figure, he was a pretty attractive young man in his humble opinion. His athletic build, yet his scars of his times gone by was clear to see in the mirror. His body littered by white lines that looked extremely similar to where lighting would have strike him, it was clear what had caused them.
Jacob, defiant as ever sent a small wink at the mirror. It was about little victories in this place, no matter how small that might have been. It was important. He knew what his Master was, he was no fool. Yet he was not, Jacob was no Sith. No matter how much his Master wanted to convince him that he was, no. He just hated the Jedi, being trained and allying himself with his Master would give him what he wanted most of all. The end of the order, as well as the death of anyone daring to call themselves Jedi.
Jacob sapphire like eyes hardened, his blue eyes glaring at the mirror as the word Jedi bounced around his mind. He hated them. Hated there very being, they were nothing more but the very thing they claimed to fight against. He knew this, which was why his alliance with his Master was a means to an end. Once he had achieved his goal, when he was strong enough. He would kill his master. Reaching into the wardrobe he picked out the simple black robe, some black pants and completing the outfit a thin white shirt. Looking back at the mirror once he was done, looking very much the obedient Sith apprentice.
"Jacob, come here immediately"
Jacob sighed in frustration, yet was hardly surprising. He turned to look at his small, brown bedside table. His silver communicator was blinking blue as it waited for his input. He grunted as he moved over to it, moving to the object to his mouth. "I'm on my way Master" Jacob commented as he pocked the device. He didn't accept a response, he never got one. He was however quiet surprised he was not in the in the main hall. He was ALWAYS there, why he didnt just sleep there he didn't know. Not that younger man cared really, he held nothing but hatred and resentment to the older man. Jacob was promised a lot more when he was taken in, to be raised from him was to accept you were just his entertainment. His training was just an excuse for him to expose the young man in his more sadistic nature.
"I better not keep him waiting" Jacob muttered to himself as he moved to the door, itself automatically opening. His eyes turning to look at the main hall, the bland white walls greeting him once again. He sighed shaking his head.
"If we are not supposed to deny ourselves anything, why does he deny me colour?"
Jacob allowed another chuckle to escape his mouth, heading towards his Masters new office. He could sensed his presence there. He frowned softly as he padded though the hallways, giving brief curt nods to the fellow members of the order as he did so. He never really felt any affections for any of them, he had no love for another around here. He knew he would cut them all down in the end, they were pawns. To be used by Jacob, for what he needed until they were no longer useful to him. After all, why should he care? No-one cared for him. Jacob breathed deeply as he reached his masters office. Clearing his thoughts as he stepped forward. Heading back to into his master office.
The office itself was extremely similar to what the rest of the structure was, it was bland, unimaginative and dull. Jacob did wonder if that was less by design, more so the lack of creativity of his master. He wouldn't have been to surprised by that fact, for being a Sith Lord he was certainly not one who allowed himself much. He never seemed to anyway, sure he loved power, yet he never acted upon his power. Now Jacob was not making excuses from him, he was a vicious, sadistic being. Yet, not the typical Sith Lord. Jacob eyes glanced at the window in the corner of his office, the only out lit that showed there was an outside world, outside of his office. The sun beating into the room, mixing with the artificial lighting, already causing the young mans head to throb, his visual senses being confused by the different styles.
"How may i serve you Mater" Jacob commented bowing before the black desk, a mask, hooded figure sat behind it. Papers as well as some data pads sat in front of him. Jacob could only surmise that it was order forums as well as day to day reports of his order.
"How indeed my young apprentice. I seem to ask if myself if you are worthy to serve me at all more and more lately, you don't seem to do anything to prove your worth. Your training is complete, yet you seem intent to stay in your weakness. Your inability to remove yourself from your nightmares, perhaps i should find at better use for my time. Perhaps i should have left you on that planet, should have left you like the street rat that you were."
Jacob gritting his teeth, his fist clinching as he kept his head down. He knew better then to react with anger. He knew his Master was expecting something like that, it was the purpose of reminding him about the nightmares, his Master loved reminding him of that. In the early years, when he was sparing with him. He would almost mention it, in the guise of helping him to better connect with the darkside. Yet Jacob knew better, he knew his Master just wanted to see him suffer, to make mistakes so he could inflict more agony to him. Biting back the bile he turned to look back up at the masked figure. "I'm sorry that i have displeased you Master, i am grateful for everything you have done for me. I am grateful for all of your training" Jacob commented.
"Well, we will find out if it was worth my time in saving you my apprentice. For what is to come i don't expect you to succeed. Yet if you do, everything you have every wanted will come to pass, everything that we have been working for will happen. We will own it all"
"What is the plan Master" Jacob asked standing back up, folding his arms behind his back.
"I am sending you Coruscant, you will be moving there pementally. I also don't expect to see you in person, until the plan come to pass. We will be joining the Jedi order, there is a war on currently in the galaxy as you should know. You will have a new master as well as backstory to make you presence, your story must be believable" The masked figure commented.
"How can i join the Jedi Order! how can you expect me to be accepted by them? i have been trained by you Master, they will sense the dark side within me" Jacob protested as he frowned, this made sense. He knew the Jedi were fools, yet they were not so foolish that they would accept someone like him. Surely they would sense what he really was, or what his Master thought he was. As mentioned he was not a Sith, he had no love from them. However, he was trained in the dark side of the force. He also was far to old to start Jedi training, he would never be accepted would he?
"Strange, how even now you presume to question my decisions. I would have thought you would have learned by now, that you never question what i ask of you."
"I meant no disrespect M-" Jacob started cutting shorts as the pain and sound of the force lighting lighting up his body, he bowed, ducking his head as he winched. He refused to allow his Master to see any sort of pain. As much as the force lighting didn't affect as much as it did in the past, it still wasn't the most pleasant experience. Jacob could smell the stench of his burning skin. Soon enough however his master relented. His body burned as he struggled to return back to his feet, his robes smoking placed his arms back behind his back. "I meant no disrespect Master, i just don't see how i would not just be killed on sight" Jacob stated.
"Still a fool i see" The masked figure spat as it stood up from behind his desk, turning away from Jacob as he looked out of the window. "I would have thought you would have learned enough by now, as i mentioned before. Yet still the foolish boy you were, i don't expect you will survive long enough for my plan to achieve its goal. Hence why you will not be going there alone, come" The masked figure stated, speaking with young man more like you would do to a pet. Which in turn was supposedly how he viewed his apprentice.
"As mentioned before you will not be going in there alone, you will be at the planet with no only your master. They will also be a member of the planet side press working with you as well" The hooded figure commented exiting the room with Jacob silently closely behind, he moved thought the white halls, other figures eagerly avoiding him. It seemed that he had quiet the reputation among the other members of whatever this place was. One thing to note, he was breathing completely fine. It didn't seem to need his mask for breathing applicants. Why he was wearing it, Jacob didn't care, yet it had to be said. He had never seen the male behind the mask.
"You will do well to remember your place Jacob, how easily it would be for you to be replaced. You will do well to remember that" The masked figure commented as he padded thought the halls. "Now as mentioned, you will have a new master in name. He is a Jedi, long since captured by me. He will have a behavior chip that has already been implanted into his brain, anything he says will be monitored. The chip will prevent him from saying anything out of line, it can be switched on and off by saying the words "The Sith is the force" once that has been said, it will make him unable to warn the Jedi of our plans. He will be unable to betray us. Just make sure you say that before you interact with any Jedi, prolong exposure to the chips modifications, will leave him brain dead, so he the chip will have to be switched off after a maximum of two days, as well as kept of for a minuim of 12 hours. You will need to keep him in check" The masked figure commented.
"I understand Master" Jacob simply said, knowing better to further argue with him. Yet he also knew his Master hated punishing him in public.
"Good, you will be leaving tonight. You will also meet your contact in the republic news organization. You will each have different missions, however you will be in charge of assisting with any stories that will weaken the Jedi position. I want them to win the war that is raging in the galaxy, instead of those pretends who call themselves Sith. Yet i want there position in public opinion to be weak, when we arrive i want to be greeted as liberators. It will make things a lot easier to unleash our will onto the galaxy" The masked figure commented.
Jacob nodded silently, hopelessly confused. Yet he knew his Master enjoyed this, this position of power that it put himself over the young man. Both physically as well as mentally, like keeping some of the plans away from him. It gave him a dependence on him. Jacob felt his rage building up within his chest as he glared at his Master, he couldn't wait to end his Master existence, his time would come. Once he was finished with the Jedi. He would come back and end his Masters life as well, as well as the rest of the group here. The galaxy didn't need any force members in the way, they were violent and perverse in there reasoning, both of them. No, the galaxy would be better off with out either of them.
"I don't expect you to survive, yet this war is the opening we have been waiting for. The chance to take over that we have been waiting. If you are successful, you will get the revnage you have been working towards" The masked figure commented as he stopped to turn to him. "You will destroy the Jedi, make them pay for what they did to you. We will usher in a new era of peace, a golden age from the Galaxy. We will rule it all together" The masked figure stated.
"Yes Master, is there any details that you can share about my mission Master. I know you want me to join the Jedi Order, however what is it you want me to do there" Jacob asked folding his arms in front of him.
"You mission will be to observe what is happening there, get involved with the war. Help those Jedi in defeating the Sith, make sure that the republic is victorious. We need them to win the war, as well as if the chance arise, destroy the pretender. He is extremely powerful, you will need to use everything you have learned to be successful in this mission. This pretenders influence is heavy in this conflict. I have my suspicious on who it is, yet you have to find out for sure. I will not tell you who i think the pretender is. This will decide once and for is your are truly worthy of my training, to be standing by my side" The masked figure stated, his tone like ice.
"Work with them?! Master, i don't see how you can expect me to fight alongside the Jedi, we should be destroying them. Not making them stronger" Jacob protested, his eyes blazing with rage as he shook his head. If he had been alone with him he knew he would have been punished, yet as mentioned and what gave him confident was the fact he was out in the open.
"You will have to put your feelings aside, if our plan is to work. The Jedi must be victorious. If this pretender is allowed to gather power, or is allowed to keep public opinion on his side. It will make our difficult task impossible. You will get your vengeance soon enough, do not allow your personal issues destroy what we have worked for. I will not accept failure. You will contact me every month, so i can remind you what is" The hooded figure commented as he moved to hand Jacob a halo imitator. "This has been encrypted, no-one should be able to learn anything from our communication. Yet it don't think i need to tell you to be careful. DO NOT DISAPPOINTMET ME" The hooded man bellowed as he briefly glanced at some of the figures passing by, no-one of them gave the two a second look. There was no brotherhood here, no-one would interify here. Still the hooded man hated losing control of his emotions in public. He didn't want anyone to know how powerful he was, nor did he want anyone to know how someone could make him lose focus.
"Yes M-" Jacob started.
"Your team will be waiting for you in at the malfunctioned druid bar, you will not know the full extent of there instructions other then what i have just told you. Nor will they know yours, do not speak with them about anything i have told you. Do not ask them anything more. One last thing, you will be using these" The masked figure commented handing him a pair of lightsabers. "As you can expect, you will not being using your own lightsabers. Now go! do not fall me" The hooded man almost growled as he stormed off, his red clock picking up wind as it blew behind him, leaving the young man alone with his thoughts.
Jacob frowned softly as he turned to look down at two lightsabers, pressing the button to ignite both of them. A pair of bright lights broke out in the hallway, one blue, one green. He hated them. Not that he loved the sabers he had before, yet he hated these. With a low growl he switched the sabers off. Turning to head towards the hanger bay. He could fell the dark thoughts breaking though his mind as he padded the halls, almost daring someone to block his path.
"They just better keep out of my way" Jacob grumbled to himself as he padded towards the hanger bay, something told him, he wouldn't see this place again.
