Luna woke up surrounded by total darkness
She refused to let panic creep into her head once more...
Where was she again?
Ah! The hospital, she remembered.
She pressed on the nurses' call button multiple times, but no one came to her aid.
The medication must be wearing out, her head was starting throb painfully.
"Dr?" she called out. There was no sign of Hannibal.
Where's everyone? why would they leave her alone helpless in a hospital?
She was distracted by an unclear image, is she seeing her bedside table?
She realized her eyes were starting to adjust.
Hopeful, she closed her eyes as if it would make her see faster.
It worked!
She sat up and made attempts at finding the light switch?
Then stopped when she remembered how her body reacted to sudden brightness the last time.
God! She needs to learn how to think before acting on impulse.
How many times does she need to be reminded of that!?
a series of thumping noise started outside.
Luna pressed an ear to the wall trying to figure out what it was.
The door squeaked and started to open
Light was slowly seeping through. She thought someone was pushing the door open, but no one came in.
She opened the door wider and was surprised by the way her hand looked on the doorknob, thin and small.
She looked to her left and the now illuminated bathroom had a mirror that reflected her.
"This is definitely a dream"… she told herself, as she was taking in the sight of a younger her, maybe 16 or so.
Her head peeked out, turning from one direction to the other.
No one was there just doors, white walls, and an abandoned nurse's station.
She stepped out into the hallway, decided to follow the direction of the sound.
Started walking to her right. An endless hall with countless doors.
One of the doors opened ahead.
A woman in a dress that barely covered her body was walking out.
Her hair was dark brown like Luna's and it was wet; Luna could only see half of the woman's face.
The woman stayed at the door as if waiting for something.
The door beside that room opened, another brown haired woman was coming out.
She wore a blouse with holes that strategically revealed bits of her body and shorts that barely covered anything.
The woman's hair was dripping wet as well, making her blouse transparent and her red underwear visible.
Luna looked at what she was wearing; she only had a hospital gown on and it was small.
Sharing it with the 2nd woman was not an option.
Her thoughts were sidetracked by more doors opening, and more women coming out to stand directly by the doorframe.
As if twins, each woman had a counterpart in front of them only they are more groomed, like a cross sword lineup.
She though it crazy but she still did it, she called their attention.
"Hello" she yelled out to them, "I'm Luna…" she introduced herself as she moved 5 steps forward.
Does any of you know where the nurses and doctors are?
None of them gave a respond, the lights started to flicker, Luna looked up.
The lights were dimming. God not now! she thought.
How absurd is this? a horror movie scene?
An inside giggle, then a sudden chill made her turn her head and look behind her.
There was a shadow at the opposite end of the hallway.
A pair of pale hands engulfing hers, made her turn back her head, these hands were dead cold.
From the pale hands she looked up to the second woman, the other half of the woman's face was filled with cut patterns, it scared her.
But not as much as it scared her when lights died right after the woman came close to whisper "Run, they're coming".
As if on automatic Luna ran as fast as she could.
"Dr. Lecter!" she yelled again and again, till she was out of breath.
There was no Dr. Lecter. There was no one.
Wake up! she yelled at herself! Wake up now Luna! still nothing... she was still in her nightmare... then something snagged her feet and she fell.
Alana was starting to feel a rush of Adrenalin; Luna wasn't waking up.
Doing hypnotherapy at her state may have been a bad idea; she did it while Luna was half awake.
She was still responding a few moments ago.
Jack was outside waiting for answers, her hands were tied.
Hannibal should be the one doing this she thought.
Maybe he should be here. Maybe this can still be fixed.
Maybe she will only wake up when he says whatever it is he says that wakes her up!?
Where the hell is he anyway!?
She can't tell jack what's going on. She can't lose her credibility?! God! She can't lose Luna!
it's already been 50 minutes and 60 minutes was the set limit.
Alana pulled out her phone, intent on calling Hannibal again.
Hoping he answers the phone this time.
Luna stood up and realized she was standing in the woods.
She remembers running and falling.
She doesn't remember her head hitting the ground but goodness! hear head was aching again.
How do i wake up from this hideous dream? she asked herself.
What was she doing before this anyway, probably sleeping! crazy! her thoughts yelled at her.
Then the sounds came back, a sound similar to the chopping of wood.
It was closer this time; she followed the direction of the sound.
She saw small piles of stones on the way, were they grave markers?
Creepy and creepier every minute!
The closer she got the clearer the image became.
Someone was sitting on the ground, his back towards her,
He was facing a pile of woods, and farther ahead were fallen trees
He was mumbling something as he rocked himself back and forth.
It sounded like "They'll find us, they'll find us... non è sicuro qui per mia bambina"...
Her Italian is not that good but that translates to "it's not safe for my baby"
The voice was breaking her heart and it reminded her of her father
It actually sounded like her father but she couldn't be sure.
She wanted to comfort the man. She took a few steps closer, a dead boar was now visible.
Of course without thinking again, by instinct her hand reached out to call the man's attention.
As her fingers tapped his shoulder she heard a familiar voice yell...
"Luna… Luna..." then a snap.
