A/N: It's short, I'm sorry. I haven't updated... I've been working on another story. Oh if anyone wants me to do one, after this, where the four are in high school please say something.

The last time Kaci had found herself dressing up, it was for her birthday and she was going out with Genesis. She wore a blue dress, with two inch sleeves; the skirt had a few layers and flowed when she walked. She wore silver heels, and her blonde hair was loose over her shoulders. It had taken her an hour just to take all of the Mako out of her hair. "You look nice, Kace," Sephiroth said. Kaci ran an eye over him, taking in his tux and the casual smile he wore.

"I feel cheap," Sephiroth chuckled at her response.

Kaci slipped through the crowd, unnoticed, looking for Pierce. Unfortunately, the scrawny brunette man was nowhere to be seen. She took a spot on the wall and scanned the crowd again, when a glass of champagne was thrust into her hands; her "fiancé" stood over her, "How'd you know I like champagne?" she took a sip of the off-white liquid.

"Hard liquor doesn't seem to be the classy lady's style," is all he said, while looking over the area.

"Classy lady?"

"Yes, Kari, the girl raised on parties and in a penthouse. I had a feeling you wouldn't be a fan of anything else, except wine." He cast a sideways glance towards her.

"You're absolutely right, and I only drink wine if I have to, too bitter," she sat her glass on the table, "And even then, I've never been a fan of alcohol. There," Sephiroth followed her nod to where the scientist was huddled against the wall, watching everyone else nervously.

"You want to go, or should I?" Sephiroth looks down at her.

"I will, even under a false name you're still scary," and she slipped away into the small crowd. It was nice being able to walk through a crowd, unnoticed.

Pierce looked around skeptically, but fear overcame his eyes when a blonde woman came up to him; Kaci held back a slight scoff and smiled. "Hello, Dr. Pierce." She swiped a glass of punch from the table and handed to him.

"H-hello," he nodded to her before looking around again.

"I'm a new nurse here, Kari Fair," Kaci stepped in front of him, "And I've been reading you notes on bio-treatments, absolutely fascinating."

"Uh, thank you," he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head and smiled at her, "It's nothing much really."

"No, it's wonderful! I loved it. But I do wish there was a little more material. You know," Kaci took a sip of whatever drink she had picked up from the table, "I'm sure if you talked to the head of your division, he could have the material sent to the Gast, Hollander, or even Hojo himself."

The man's eyes brightened a fraction, "You really think he would?"

"I'm sure, if there was more material," she purposefully dropped her voice a fraction.

"I-I do have more material," the man practically pushed her against the wall, his eyes wide.

Kaci chuckled, put a hand to his chest and pushed him away, "Well, I would be happy to look at it, if you'd like."

Pierce gave one more nervous glance around the room before returning his gaze to the blonde, "Yes, but not here," his voice had taken on a hushed tone, as though he was trying not to be heard, "Tomorrow," and with that, the man disappeared.

"Well?" Kaci smirked up to Sephiroth as she returned to him.

"He'll show me files tomorrow, and you have to create a distraction, so I can search through his computer."

"Kari, his computer's very likely to be pass coded."

"So?"

"So, how do you plan to look through it?" Sephiroth smirked; he had found the one flaw in her plan.

"The override."

"What?"

Kaci sighed, "All Shinra computers, whether at the headquarters or not, are programmed to open up when the main Shinra passcode is entered. I have to enter that, and I have nothing to worry about."

"And you know this code?"

"I've known it since I was thirteen."

"Thirteen?!" Sephiroth almost spit out his drink.

"Yes, thirteen, my grandfather gave it to me for getting around the building before I got my Red Status ID card, within reason, of course. And after some info hunting, I found that it was also the override for all of the computers," Kaci shrugged.

"I bet you know all the secret passage ways through the building too," Sephiroth snorted and slugged back his drink.

"You sound like Genesis and yes I do even all six from the president's office."

"Six?"

"One per corner, one in the ceiling, and one in the floor."

"You know," Sephiroth leaned down next to her, "You're giving away company secrets here."

"I didn't tell you the passcode, geez. Want to dance?"

Sephiroth was slightly taken back by her question before he agreed to dance with his blonde "fiance." The rest of the night the two spent it off-duty so to speak, their mission would be fulfilled soon, anyway.
