I'm going to say this first just to be clear with everyone—this story is almost over. Maybe I can stretch it into one or two more chapters at most. Why? Well, even from the first chapter I had planned on a sequel, because I had an idea on how to continue it—but at the current time it wouldn't work. So, don't hate me when this ends soon, there will be more! The only difference is, I'll only post the sequel when all the chapters are finished. Or at least when I have enough to post once a week and not fall behind. My schedule is being occupied by everything down to the last second—and while I know my lack of updating is annoying—I do have to put school first.

That said, after this chapter, there won't be another until the middle of June. Don't hate me, but the school year is almost over and I'm scrambling to get my grades up, I have 50 more days until the first day of the NJRF which I've fallen behind on my dolls for it. However, HOPEFULLY, I'll have a few chapters done by then. Once again, I apologize.

Also, thanks to Elphabalover101, MyLittleElphie, and Elphaba's Girl for the reviews—and thank you for staying loyal to the story despite that I take forever to post new chapters.

Enjoy!

"Fiyero?"

He turned to look at the green witch, staring into her eyes, "Hmm?" She was silent for a moment, "You said you and Glinda are dating?"

"Yeah, why?"

"How has she been? I haven't seen her since Shiz…,"

They kept walking as Fiyero smiled, "She's doing well. Still happy and hyper, as I assume she was with you." Elphaba seemed worried for a moment, "Has she said anything to anyone about me not being… well, wicked?"

Another pause.

"… No," Fiyero frowned, remembering what Glinda has said his first day in charge. He couldn't help but flinch—knowing what this so-called wicked witch was really like, he couldn't understand how Glinda could turn on her.

"Good."

Wait, what? He blinked, "What do you mean by good?"

"I asked her not to clear my name. I didn't want all of Oz hating her as well," Elphaba shrugged, "She knew the truth, and since she was my only friend as long as she knew I'd be fine."

"Wait… only friend?" Fiyero repeated.

"Well, yes, pretty much. Who else but Glinda the Good would want to be friends with… an artichoke?"

Fiyero just smiled, "The new Captain of the Guard would."

Elphaba couldn't help but chuckle, "Oh? Then why are we still going to Munchkinland, to follow the yellow brick road all the way to the Wizard, my dear friend?"

"We're not."

It was Elphaba's turn to be stunned, "What do you mean—?"

"I'm taking you to Kiamo Ko," Fiyero grinned. Elphaba just made a face, "What's Kiamo Ko?" "A castle in the Vinkus," he replied, "there's plenty of trapdoors and tunnels, I figure it'd be a good place for you to hide if you're interested."

Elphaba was silent, which deep down concerned Fiyero, "Fae, are you alright?"

"… Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why are you giving me a place to hide? Yesterday you wanted to capture me, and now you're helping me? Why—I don't understand…," she murmured. Fiyero wasn't sure what to say—part of him wanted to tell her he had a change of heart, and the other part wanted to admit that ever since the kiss happened that the thought of what they'd do to her tore him apart, and if she was gone he'd hate himself.

But he just said, "I was to capture the Wicked Witch of the West, not Elphaba Thropp." He swore he saw her begin to smile, "Yero?"

"Yes?"

"Thanks…"

He grinned, taking hold of her hand as to guide her, "Of course, Fae."

With that said—Fiyero continued to lead her West, not even realizing that he had intertwined their fingers. On the other hand, Elphaba was well aware of it… and her brain said no while her heart screamed yes.

Oh Oz, she was in love, wasn't she?

Wow… looked a lot longer on my MSWord Document… sorry!
