The unfortunate end to this series! Regardless—thank you to everyone who read this, and for those who stuck by this story from chapter one—I love all of you for it. Thank you so much, guys!
This chapter is going to be relatively short—it's merely tying up loose ends. However, don't despair! I promised a sequel—it may just take a while to post it!
Enjoy, and once again thank you!

It was not supposed to be like that.
He was supposed to tell the guards he had chased the wicked witch, but wound up getting lost and it look a while to find his way back.
He was then supposed to take Glinda aside and confess that he had feelings for someone else, but promise to still be her friend. He was supposed to apologize to her for any hard feelings and it was supposed to be the end.
He wasn't supposed to walk into a surprise engagement party.
For him and Glinda no less.
It was not supposed to be like that.
"Oh, FiFi!" Glinda exclaimed, throwing her tiny arms around his neck and kissing him. It felt tedious now that he had kissed Elphaba. "I was so worried when you didn't return! I'm glad your okay!"
He didn't respond—he wasn't sure what to say. "Glinda…"
"So, do you like it?" she squeaked, obviously much more thrilled than he was, "Madame Morrible said it was a good time now to be engaged—and I knew she was right! We're perfect together!"
"Glinda… we need to talk about this."
"Oh, there will be plenty of time to talk about it—but right now you need to help me with invitations! Everyone in Oz already knows of us being engaged, but they just need a time and date for the ball!"
"Everyone?" he croaked out, suddenly feeling sick. No doubt if all of Oz knew word would travel back to Elphaba.
"Yes, everyone! But we need to send the invitations out— especially to our friends—ShenShen, Milla, Pfannee, Avaric—,"
"How about Elphaba?"
Glinda froze—and Fiyero was secretly overjoyed that this girl had finally been quiet. The two other guards in the room didn't understand why the name mattered—his Fae was definitely right when she said they only knew her as the Wicked Witch of the West.
"Fiyero…"
He grinned, "I met her recently, she isn't that bad. Quite nice if you ask me—and she knew you two… perhaps you can tell me more about her."
With that he stormed out—he couldn't deal with it. He didn't want to marry Glinda—and breaking it off was fine when their relationship was between them and a few friends. But now all of Oz had to know of the engagement—and he couldn't end it now. The Ozians would demand an explanation
Between them he could confess who the other girl was and Glinda would understand.
But to Oz, all hell would break loose.
He considered his options—he didn't want to stay here. He didn't want to have a future with Glinda. He knew he could always run off and find his precious Fae—but everyone would wonder where he went. People would be searching for him as well. And in thinking of places he'd go—Kiamo Ko would definitely be a place they'd look.
It killed him, but he knew what he had to do. He pushed his feelings aside—Elphaba's safety was more important to him.
He had to stay.
He had to marry Glinda.

And that's all for this story! The sequel I eventually post will be called "Crossroads" and here's a little idea of the plot—
"It's been 3 years after Fiyero met the Wicked Witch of the West—or Elphaba as he prefers to call her. He and Glinda have gone through with their engagement, but Fiyero wasn't exactly happy. The woman he really wanted to stand at the altar with was green and on the run—not to mention she thinks he played her. So… what does he do when Glinda asks to start a family with him? Escape to find Elphaba Thropp, that's what."
Once again, thanks to everyone who read this! Bye!
