Her eyes twitched as sunray started tickling them, but she didn't open them, instead, she reached out for her blanket. She reached out, but instead of blanket, she felt the warmth of someone's skin. She opened her eyes and saw the face of the love of her life in front of her and smiled. This was the last thing she had seen last night before falling asleep. She shifted closer to him and ran her fingers through his auburn hair and then ran it on his shoulder and then his chest, then leaned close and planted a gentle kiss on his lips which woke him up.
"Hey there now," she said, her voice still hoarse.
He gave her a sleepy smile in return and put his arm around her and pulled her close, kissing her again. "Good morning."
She smiled and kissed him once more and then sat up. "So," she said and looked down at him. "I wanna go take a shower and…" she paused, looking at him meaningfully.
"And I'm gonna join you," he said, nodding his head and sat up. He then got up from the bed and stood in front of her.
"Uh-huh," Cristina said staring at his naked figure and reached out for him like a baby who wanted to be picked up.
"Eh?" he said, raising one eyebrows and leaned down to help her up.
"Uh-huh," she said again and wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist and let him carry him to the bathroom.
They got out of the bathroom after ten minutes, wrapped up in towels and giggling. Owen helped Cristina dry her hair and changed into the suit he'd worn last night. "You hungry?" Cristina asked.
Owen looked at her and nodded. "Yeah, I was thinking I'd hit Starbucks before going to pick up Crissa."
"We could go together," she suggested smiling and Owen nodded. Cristina, then, looked at her dining table. She'd forgot to throw the food away and now it smelled awful. Owen caught her looking at the table with a disgusted look and chuckled. "I'll help you," he said.
She looked up at him and smiled. "Okay."
Cristina locked her phone and put it back down at the table after reading Alex's text. She looked up and saw Owen walking towards their table with the tray of their breakfast. "Mocha Latte and cinnamon roll for you," he said as he put them in front of her.
"Thank you," she said and grabbed the paper cup, taking a long sip. It felt refreshing. She ate the pastry and drank all of the latte and took a deep breath. "It was great," she said. "So Alex said that he's going out of town, so I gotta go soon to pick up Evan, I'll…" she paused and got up. "… see you at the hospital."
Owen, too, got up from his chair and nodded. "Yeah, I should go pick up Crissa too. See you," he said and leaned forward to give Cristina's lips a peck.
She smiled against his lips and nodded.
"Omelet or pancake?" Meredith asked Crissa and she poured some orange juice for the little girl.
"Pancake," she said, beaming. "Could I have some chocolate dressing too?"
"'course you can," Meredith said smiling and placed the plate of pancake in front of her and then did the same thing for Zola and Bailey. "You guys want that too?"
"I want cherry dressing," Zola said.
"But I want chocolate," Baily said and winked at Crissa. Crissa blushed and Meredith just smirked, witnessing the scene. "Alright."
She poured the dressing on their pancakes and then sat down at the table with her own plate of omelet. She had just put the first spoonful in her mouth when the doorbell rang. "Must be your father," she told Crissa after pushing the food down with a big sip of coffee. She went to the door and opened it only to see Owen in a suit that definitely needed to be ironed. She smiled at him meaningfully. "Doing the walk of shame?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
Owen blushed and just stared at her. "Uh…"
Meredith giggled and stepped aside. "Come on in," she said.
Owen forced a big grin and walked inside.
"Daddy!" Crissa said and ran towards him, hugging his legs. "Did you have fun last night?" she asked her, excited.
He gave Meredith a quick look and nodded. "I had a great night," he said, smiling.
"Great!' Crissa said, happy her father had a great night with Cristina. Her dreams were about to come true.
Cristina pulled up her car in front of the frat house and got out of it. She stood in front of the door and rang the bell. Not a second later the door was open. "Wow, you were so excited to see me!" Cristina said, smiling and walked inside.
Alex rolled her eyes. "Excited to get rid of you, in fact."
"Getting rid of me? That'd be your nightmare. You love me more than that." she said, tapping his shoulder playfully. "Where's my son?"
Alex rolled her eyes and ignored her other sentence. "In the living room," he said and grabbed his suitcase. "Lock the door before leaving, I gotta go now," he said and with that left the house.
Cristina looked at the closed door and shrugged. "Hey, prince!" she said, sticking her head in the doorway of the living room.
"Mommy!" Evan said and ran to her, hugging her legs.
She knelt down and ruffled his hair and then kissed his forehead. "Alright, let's go change your clothes and go."
"Update me and do not kill my patient," Cristina said, handing the chart to the intern and then went to nurses' station.
"Go, go, go, go…" she heard someone say and then scream. She frowned and looked inside the station only to see Crissa frowning at her iPad. "Calm down, little girl," she said, chuckling.
Crissa looked up and a smile lit up her face. "Oh, Cristina!" she then looked at her iPad. "You can't believe it, I've been stuck in this level forever."
Cristina shook her head. "Let me see, maybe I could help," she said and walked into the station and then looked at the iPad. She tapped some things and worked with some other things. "Now, try it," she said and Crissa did as she was told. "Oh my God! You're a genius Cristina!" she said, smiling widely. "Thank you," she said.
"You're welcome," she said.
Crissa then put the iPad away and grinned. "My Dad said he had a great night with you."
Cristina blushed a bit and smiled. "Right," she said, with a foolish smile. "He did… we did."
"Great!"
"Yup!" Cristina said and tucked a curl behind her ear.
Crissa thought for a moment and then smiled again. "Do you like to have lunch with us at the cafeteria today?" she asked.
"Oh…" Cristina thought for a moment too. "I'd love to."
"Okay, then let's go. It's about time."
"Alright, first I have to go bring Evan from daycare," Cristina said.
Crissa's smiled. "Oh, okay," she said and got off the chair and grabbed her iPad. "Will see you then," she said before walking away.
Cristina looked surprised to see Crissa continue smiling after the mention of Evan. She must have been relieved to know even with the presence of Evan Cristina and her dad could be together.
Owen put the lunch tray in front of Crissa and then sat at the chair in front of her.
"Thanks," Crissa mumbled.
"Put away that iPad," Owen told her.
"Mhm," she said but didn't put it away.
"Crissa?" Owen said.
"Hm?" she asked, not looking up at him.
"Criss," he said.
"Hm?" she said again.
Owen sighed. That iPad was a trouble sometimes. He was about to take the device out of her hands when he saw Cristina and Evan walking towards their table and sit at it. "Oh, hi!" he said, a smile lighting up his face.
Crissa looked up at them too and smiled, then put away her iPad.
Owen shook his head. She didn't put away the iPad for him, but she did for Cristina. She really liked her a lot, not that he minded though.
"So, Crissa invited us to have lunch with you guys today and I couldn't say no," Cristina said, smiling at the girl, as she was opening the bottle of juice for Evan.
"Oh, I'm glad," Owen said, smiling at her. "It's a real honor."
They continued to eat their lunch, chatting and laughing every now and then. Owen loved it. It was no different from a family lunch. This was his family. Maybe they weren't a real family yet, but he would take a step in making it real sometime. For now, he would just enjoy the company of these people.
Evan took a little sip of the juice but then it made him cough and spill all the juice of his shirt. Before Cristina could react, Owen was tapping Evan's back gently to stop the coughing and then picked up a napkin and cleaned the juice as much as he could.
"Oh, let it be, I'll have to change that shirt later," Cristina said as he watched Owen's fatherly gesture. "Thanks," she said smiling at Owen and then ran a hand on her son's head.
"No need to thank me," he said, smiling.
Evan looked up at Owen and smiled at him softly. This man was really nice, he thought.
Cristina caught her son looking at Owen like that and smiled inwardly. Owen was a perfect father. She'd seen him with Crissa and now with Evan. Evan didn't have a father and he looked at Owen in a way as if he was desiring a father. Cristina went back to her food, but her mind was busy thinking about how great a father Owen could be for Evan.

I will do my best to update in a short time. But I can't promise, I'm sorry. My life's a mess at this point and won't get better for almost a month. But I'll try my best :)
