Helia pov
I'm standing in the middle of a circle of death. All of Flora's uncles and dad are surrounding me. They're looking at me with red eyes sending shivers up my side.
"What should we do with him Alex?" Her father says.
"I could use a punching bag at home." Alex replies. "What about you Zeo?"
"Still think. What do you think Mark?" Zeo asks.
"Too many chose from. Thinking about dinner or desert. Sound tasty Geoff?" Mark asks.
"Sound divine, but I'm itching for a fight you know. Lets test him out." Geoff says.
"Dad stop it, leave him alone." Flora says rushing to me.
"Come on Flo. We're just teasing him." Mark says ruffling her hair.
"Come on we're late for dinner. Linus please make sure that the rooms are ready and please come join us when you are finish." Flora says fixing her hair.
"Very well princess." Linus says bowing as he left to his duties.
"You ok honey. Did they scare you?" Flora asks.
"I'm fine sweetheart. Little freaked but fine." I reassure her.
"Tell me if anything changes. You can sit next to me at dinner." She says leading me to the table.
"So Helia how did you two meet?" Flora's aunt asks.
"It was at the re-opening if Red Fountain and Brandon introduced us and she complemented me on my drawing. I saved her from a monster when she wasn't able to see and I sent her an airplane picture of her I drew and I loved her ever since." I explain looking at Flora lovingly.
"So the great Flora couldn't protect herself. That's a first." Lily says laughing.
"Mom!" Flora says looking embarrassed.
"Lily please don't embarrass her." Her mother says sternly at her.
"Thanks mom." Flora says looking a little relived.
"So why did you tell her you loved her." Mark asks
"Uncle 2 don't." Flora says.
"Let the boy speak." Her aunt snaps at her.
"I fell in love with her because she is perfect to me. She makes- she made me the warrior I am today. If it wasn't for her, I would still be at the Art school. She makes me want to be a hero a fighter. And I will travel to the ends of the earth, fight any and all demons that try to hurt her. If I she can protect herself. I'll still protect her." I say only looking at my flower.
"I told you he was perfect." Flora says nuzzling in my neck purring softly.
"I can tell by her purring." Her father says laughing.
"She does that a lot around me." I say rubbing her back.
"And you don't care that she's a freak?" Rose asks laughing.
"Girls! Enough!" Her father yells as sternly as his wife.
"She's isn't freak. She's unique. And I love that about her. I would never ever tell her to change." I say a tears dampen my neck as I hear little sobs from Flora.
"Oh baby it's ok. Sh. Sh. Don't cry." I whisper to her.
She whimpers sadly in my neck and holds my hand tightly.
"You two go to your room. Now!" Her mother orders.
"But daddy!" They scream.
"No buts. GO!" Her father yells.
They stomp and grumble all the way to the rooms as I hold my flower. She wiggles out of my grasp and transformers to her full panther state and runs off.
"Flora don't leave." The girls yell to her.
I get up to go after her but her father stops me.
"Let her go." He says plainly.
"But sir I-" I try to reason with him.
"It is fine Helia. She goes off when she needs to think. She can take care of herself. If I know my daughter, she is on her way to Trey's now. That is her safety net. She goes there when the world has turned on her. I'll call Trey and ask if she came by. Ok." Her father explains.
"Ok. But if she doesn't come back or call in 2 hours I'm looking for her." I agree reluctantly.
"Have a seat Helia. Please finish you meal." her mother says.
"Linus can you please have the guards see if Flora is still here" David looks at Linus who is at the door.
"Yes sir." Linus say bowing and leaving the room quickly.
"I'm sure she's ok. She is a winx after all." Musa says.
"What is with her sister anyway?" Stella asks.
"Her sister hate that she is a rebel." Flora's second aunt says.
"What's a rebel?" Riven says.
"The rebels are the royalists that write their own destiny. Not like her sisters who follow the destiny that was written for them." Alex says.
"They hate the fact they aren't as popular as Flora. The whole town loves Flora for who she is. Her sisters aren't as liked in town." Geoff says.
"I wonder why." Sky mumbles.
"But why not just follow her destiny. Why become who she is." Bloom asks.
"She wanted to a fairy and a panther for so odd reason." Her 1st aunt explains.
"She wanted to prove that she could be anything. To break the rule, defy the odds. Be herself. I've never been prouder of her." Her father says.
"I got off the phone with Trey and he hasn't seen Flora since the café. And all the guards haven't seen her." Linus says worryingly as he rushed in the room.
"Where is Romeo?" Her mother asks.
"Who?" We all ask except for Flora's family.
"Her pet panther. She loves him as much as you do. If he's not here than he is with her." Her father explains.
"Lets go find them." I say getting out of my chair with her uncles in front.
They transform into their panther states and try to find her scent.
"I know where she is come on." Her father exclaims running as fast as he can with the rest of us behind him.
Her uncle and father are pretty fast compare to our bikes back at Red Fountain. I'm worried about Flora. I hope that she is ok.
Flora's pov
As sit in my tree with Romeo's head in my lap I cry my eyes out remembering what was said at dinner. My sisters are right, I am a freak. Helia might even think the same after what they said. I fear that he would leave me for them. Romeo looks up at me with sad eyes and nuzzles my stomach. I cuddle him closer and stroke his midnight fur gently. I smell my dad and family coming this way and so I crouch on the branch I was on and see if they could find me.
"Flo where are you?" Dad asks.
"Please come out." The boys says.
"Flora we're worried about you. Come out here." My mom says.
"Sweetheart you're scaring me. Please I need to know that you're ok." Helia begs.
I look to see Helia looking worried. I smile sadly as jump down from my spot landing perfectly on my feet.
"Sweetie are you ok?" My mom ask me running to me.
"I'm fine mom." I say in an annoyed voice.
"Flora don't ever do that again you scared us half to death." All of my uncles order.
"Ok. I just needed a minute to think." I reply as I walk over to Helia.
"Flora are you ok?" Helia asks me.
"Yeah. I just need time you know. Lets just go back to dinner and just try to enjoy the rest of the day." I say with a smile on my face.
"Ok. I'm here to talk if you need to." He says taking my hand.
"Kay." I say smiling at him taking his hand as we walk back to the palace in silence
