Flora's pov
As we change into dry clothes and head downtown. I lean on Helia's shoulder as we sit in the car. As we get to the mall we head to the top floor. We head to the boutique and Stella freaks. She drags Brandon to the shoes and hands him box after box.
"Uncle Zeo, can you go help them." I tease him as he goes to take the boxes.
"Perfect. Now you can tell me if they look good on me." Stella says to Brandon as he moves to get her shoe on.
"But you always look good." Brandon says while smiling at her.
"Flora, do you have a music store here." Musa asks.
"Just across the way. " I answer as I point outside.
"You wanna go with me?" She asks Riven.
"Sure." Riven says as he holds the door for Musa.
"Uncle Alex go with them please." I ask while nudging his arms.
"Hey Julian, can we start a 'I hate Zeo club'? Please?" Alex asks as he follows Riven and Musa.
"Uncle Geoff can go with Bloom and Sky, uncle David with Layla and Nabu, and uncle Mark with Timmy and Techna. Dad will come with me and Helia. Lily and Rose can go where they want. Meet back at the palace for dinner." I explain while holding Heila's arm.
"Grandma and Grandpa will be here tonight for dinner princess." Dad says as me and Heila go to the sunglasses.
"Great!" I cheer as I try on some glasses.
"Great." He says nervously.
"Oh Helia, don't worry. They're not as strict on the old ways as my aunties." I explain.
"That's not what I'm worried about." He says.
"What is it then?" I ask cursorily.
"I'm worried that they won't like me too much." He says.
"It won't be that bad. They will love you." I reassure him as I walk with him to the jewelry hand in hand.
"Promise?" He asks.
"I promise." I tell him while kissing his cheek.
As we shop around the outlet mall Helia has already bought me a bracelet, earrings, and 2 pairs of shoes. We walk and talk about the ceremony when I see a familiar face. Oh gosh no. Drake. I place my arm in front of Helia and start growling at him.
"My dear Flora. So sweet and innocent, yet feisty. I always loved that about you." Drake says as he walks to us.
Drake is 5'4 with short black hair and dark brown eyes. He has tan skin and a claw mark on his cheek from me. The first time he hit beat me I ran as fast as I could. I hated him ever since.
"Stay away from me." I growl at him.
"Or what? You'll tell daddy." He mocks me.
"Leave her alone." Helia orders from behind me.
"We were just talking." He lies as he stands his ground.
"Don't you come near her again. Understand. Walk away." Helia orders again and walks in front of me.
"What are you gonna do tough guy?" Drake challenges.
I roar at him loudly, making him jump. I keep roaring at him until he runs away. Helia walks to me and wraps his arms around me. I calm down at his touch. I get out of his arms and run to dad to hug him tightly. Even after all of these years, Drake still scares me.
"It's ok. He won't mess with you anymore." Dad says as I sniffle quietly.
"What did he do to her?" Helia asks.
"He beat her. If she didn't have her power, I shudder at what could have happened to her." Dad says as he tightens his hold on me.
"I'm ok dad. Let's not have him ruin our day, let's have some fun." I said as I let Helia go and take his hand.
"That's me girl." Dad says as he walks with us.
"Mommy its princess Flora!" A little girl voice says excitedly.
"Can I go say hi!" Another girl's screams excitedly.
"Calvin come on the princess is here!" A little boy shouts as the kids run to me.
"Hey guys." I said happily as they all surround me.
"Congratulation princess Flora." The little girl with pigtails says jumping up and down.
"We heard about the ball at school." A blond hair little boy says as he hugs me arms.
"We were all so excited for you." An African-American girl says with short black hair and pink streaks.
"Thank you all so much." I said as I pick up the smallest red hair girl.
As they all jump and ask question about the ball, I see some musician playing in the middle of the road. I start to get an idea.
"Who here likes to dance?" I ask as I put her done.
"ME!" They all scream happily.
"Look over there." I said as I point to the musicians.
"Come dance with us Flora. Please." They all beg to me.
"Come on then." I said as they nearly drag me to the musicians.
I look to see some one dancing along with the music. I look closer to see Al is the one dancing. He looks at me and smiles. The children take me and bring me to the center with him. The music changes into something traditional yet fun. We line up as the intro starts.
Helia pov
Me and Julian walk into a crowd to see Flora and the children lining up for a dance. I see Al, the guy from earlier, take her hand dance with her. (Warning, in my head, this is from Shakira music video Waka Waka.) I see Flora smile happily as she dances with Al. I know I shouldn't be jealous of him but come on, does he really have to hold her hips like that and no have a shirt on. I am not a possessive man but I have the sudden urge to take Flora and bring her as close to me as possible. They start to dance something like the tango but not a serious. They flip and twist around each other and end with him dipping her. Everybody claps for them and the children. I see Flora hug Al tightly as they talk for a few seconds then Flora walks to us.
"I haven't done that dance in months." Flora says as she hugs my arm and walk down the road.
"You did great princess." Julian says as he kisses her cheek.
As we walk about the mall we see Bloom and Sky walking with Geoff. We wave to them as Bloom rushes to Flora.
"Flora this mall is amazing! Look what Sky bought!" She says excitedly as she shows us the earrings.
The earrings are small diamonds around a medium size red gem in the middle. It's not a hoop earring but studs.
"They look beautiful Bloom." Flora says as she looks closely at the earrings.
"Flora you have to come look at these shoes with me, we pasted it on the way here. Come." Bloom says excitedly as she takes Flora's hand and drags Flora back the way Sky and Boom came from.
"I never seen Bloom this happy about shopping." Sky says laughing as we all follow them.
"So Sky what did you get?" I ask as we turn the corner.
"Bloom just got me a new watch. I got her a dress to wear to dinner tonight she insisted that she pay for." Sky explains as we walk in the store.
I look to see Flora looking at dresses with Bloom. This is the Flora I want to see everyday for the rest of my life. I love seeing her smile and being happy. I sit down next to Sky in one of the chairs and wait for Flora and Bloom.
Flora's pov
Besides the run in with Drake it's a pretty day. As I look with Bloom a new dress to wear to dinner, me and Bloom talk about our day so far.
"So Bloom you'll never guess who we ran into ?" I said as I look at a purple dress in the mirror.
"Who?" She asks as she pulls out some red heels.
"Drake." I reply simply.
"What? What happened? Did he hurt you? Are you alright?" She asks panicking as she rushes to me.
"I'm fine, physically. But the way he looked at me. I'm just glad that Helia was with me. He still creeps me out. What do you for tonight? Green with pink flats or sparkly flats." I explain as I show Bloom the first option.
"That's good. I would actually say red dress with black heels. Oh and diamonds, they look beautiful on you." She says excitedly.
"You know my grandparents will be there right. Along with Helia, and the guys, and my aunts, and uncles, and my sisters and my parents. You see the point." I said to her while laughing.
"That's the point. You have one more chance to show everyone just how womanly you can be. Show your aunts just how sexy you can be. Plus Helia will freak if he saw you in this." She explains as she holds up a black short dress with a low V-cut neckline. I scream lightly as I snatch the dress out of her hand.
"Bloom! Really. I think Helia would pass out if he saw me in this. I'll pass. I want to look somewhat presentable to my grandparents. Help me look for something else." I explain as I take her hand and take her to more dresses.
"How about this?" She asks holding a short red sleeveless dress with sparkles.
"Too skimpy." I say to her while I pull out a long dark green skirt with a beige long sleeve shirt. "How about this?" I ask while showing it to Bloom.
"Simple. I like it. Maybe some simple black heels." Bloom suggest as she runs back to the front.
"Bloom no heels!" I shout to her.
"Why?!" She shouts back to me.
"Helia doesn't like them. He thinks I'm gonna fall or trip." I said to her while I look for flats.
"How about a small heel?" She asks while showing me some black low heels.
"Maybe. Ask Helia and my dad." I shout to her as I try on black sparkly flats.
"Okay." Bloom says as she goes back to the front.
When Blooms leaves for the front my phone rings.
"Hello." I answer.
"Hey Flo come up front." A familiar voice says to me.
"Come up front?" I ask as I go up front.
I walk to see him. No way! I scream as loud as I can and run up to him. I jump in his arms and he lifts me up, my legs wrapping around his waist. Tears swell in my eyes as I squeeze him tightly.
Helia's pov
Me and Sky and chatting until Bloom comes up to us with a pair of black low heels.
"Helia, Flora wanted me to ask you if these low heels are ok since she says that you don't like heels." Bloom explains.
Before I can answer a man in full Limphean uniform with long black hair and purple eyes. He actually looks kind of like Linus. Julian and Geoff look happy and surprised that he is here.
"Is princess Flora here?" The man asks.
"Yes, why do you ask?" I ask standing up.
"I will explain in a minute." He says as he quickly reaches for his phone. "Hey Flo come up front." He says quickly then hangs up.
I see Flora walk to the front and screams. She runs up to him and jumps in his arms. He picks her up and spins her around. She pulls away from him and kisses his cheek.
"When did you come home?" She asks quietly, fighting tears.
"This morning. I've missed you my little flower." He coos to her while nuzzling his nose against hers.
"I missed you too." She giggles to him with another hug.
"I love you." He says as he strokes her hair.
"I love you too." She says as she dries her eyes.
After about 5 minutes he puts her down. She doesn't let go of his neck either. After about 2 minutes they let go. Even when they let go Flora is still smiling and hugging the man's arm.
"Did you two know that he was coming home?" She asks looking at her father.
"No." He answers with a huge smile.
"Oh. Silly me. I almost forgot. Guys this is my godfather or papi Logan. Papi this my one of my best girlfriends Bloom and her boyfriend Sky and my amazing boyfriend Helia." Flora says.
"So you're the lucky guy who swept my little rosy off her feet." Logan says as Flora blushes.
"Papi you're embarrassing me." Flora warns.
"Sorry sweetie. But look how much you've grown. I remember when she as tall as my hip, pigtail , and clinging to her father and uncle's legs." Logan says laughing.
"Does Linus know you're here?" Flora asks excitedly.
"Not yet." Logan says in a teasing voice.
"Then what are we waiting? Come on let's head home." Flora says as she grabs his hand and nearly drags him out of the store.
With a loud laugh we all follow Flora and Logan back to the palace.
