After eating breakfast, and hearing words between Diaspor and Bloom, they went to the Judges Pavilion, and began to practice for the ceremony. The girls, guys, her uncles and aunts, parents, grandparents, sisters, Linus, her papi, and even Romeo went as well since they were part of the percussion. The pre succession was simple. Her dad and uncles were in the full panther form next to their wives along with her grandfathers. For her uncles that were not married, they were to walk by themselves. The music started, which was simple classic music, and they started to walk.
It is tradition for the women to take the left staircase and the men for the right. No one knows why, it just one of those ancient traditions that will not change. The rest of the princesses, Sky and Nabu, and the rest of the guys will follow the percussion as well. Flora will walk with Heila then she will walk up the main stairs while Heila joins the guys on the right.
They practiced this several times until they got it perfect. After words they descious the outfits everyone would wear for the ceremony. The girls and guys had their outfits together and they only had to deal with their sisters so they all went to the ballroom to wait.
"I think that Lily and Rose should wear the red dress." Willow said as she held up the two short red dresses with sparkles.
"But it's traditional for the sisters of princess to wear white." Sharon said slightly defensive.
"But red would look so much better." Willows said as she held the dresses in front of the sisters.
"Mother, the girls will wear white. Flora is the princess for the evening and she will be the star of the show and that is final." Julian said as he took the dress out of her hand and put them back on the rake and handed the girls plain white dresses.
"But daddy! If Flora gets to look pretty then why shouldn't we." Both of the twins shouted while throwing a small stratum.
"I don't wanna hear it. You are wearing the dress and that's final. Now try it on." Sharon ordered while she shooed them off to the dressing room.
"I think that the girls should look beautiful at the ceremony." Willow said with a small sigh as she waited for the girl to get dressed.
"Willow please, this is about Flora being welcomed into royalty, not Lily or Rose. They had their day." Dahlia said with a small sigh of annoyance.
"The red dress would have looked beautiful on them." Willow grumbled while she sipped her glass of red wine.
"And so will the white dresses. Tradition is tradition." David said while the girls came out in the dresses.
The dresses were not ugly. They were plain and simple with a small lack gem on their forehead. They wore white flats with a small black gem on the top.
"They look beautiful." Moore said while he smiled to them.
"I hate this." Rose said in slightly disappointment.
"Me too. There is no sparkle." Lily agreed with a small complaint.
"It's for a day. Trust me, you'll live. I had to wear it." Flora said while she sat down with her cup of water with a small drop of negative B blood.
"Now girls please be civil. We need to get to the ballroom for the dance." Jay said as he moved them to the dressing room to quickly change.
They went to the ball room and they started practice for the father daughter dance along with her uncles. Heila loved how beautiful she danced. He saw her as a beautiful swan ballerina. Man how much he would pay to see her dance for days and he wouldn't even get bored. As she ended the song with a bow he walked up to her and took her by the hand and spun her around making her giggle.
"You know you are the most beautiful princess in the dimension." He said as love filled his voice and kissed her.
"Well you aren't so bad yourself." She said giggling as he pulled her closer.
"Are you nervous for the voting?" Heila asked softly in her asked.
"I'm shaking. I'm sure that everything will be fine though." She said while hugging him tightly.
"Well then, let's get you home so you can cuddle me while you wait." He said while kissing her cheeks and neck gently.
"Can I be the little spoon?" She asked in her usual soft cute voice when she wanted something from Heila.
"Of course you can my beautiful flower." Heila said while eskimo kissing her.
"Let's go handsome." She said while lightly chuckling at him and takes his hand and walks to her parents so they can leave.
After practicing for the dance five more time, they left for the palace and they gang along with Flora aiter on pins and needles for word on the vote.
Several more hours went by until the late hours of the night and still no word on the vote. They did receive one phone call, from the head of the Council, Jeb. Flora put him on speaker and waited for a response.
"Princess Flora." Jeb said in his usual slow yet fearing tone.
"Yes Councilmen Jeb." Flora said nervously while holding Sheila's hand.
"I am sorry to say that the council voted no against the bill." Jeb said.
Sighs and 'oh no's' filled the room as Flora hung her head in disappointment.
"Thank you councilman for calling me. Have a good night." Flora said as she hung up the phone.
"I really thought the council would have changed by now. I'm sorry." Limnus said while he hugged her.
"Me too. Thanks Linus for being here through this." She said as she hugged him back tightly.
"This sucks." Musa said while Layla nodded.
"This isn't right. The rest of the planets aren't as backwards as Linphea." Bloom said in honesty.
"Linphea was different from the rest. We were cut off from the dimension. We are still trying to catch up." Flora defended while leaning on Heila.
"I'm sorry sweetie." Heila said while kissing her temple.
"It's okay baby. This isn't your fault." Flora said with a small sigh. "Let's get dinner and watch a movie. Okay." She suggested while trying to brighten the mood.
They all agreed and went down to the dining hall and ate dinner while making small talk. They tried to cheer Flora up but it didn't really work out. After a while, she was smiling and giggling and they all went up to her room and watched the movie until they fell asleep.
