Me: So this chapter kind of came to me while watching Titanic because in years long past, I once went to the museum and learned about the sister ships Olympic and Britannic. Take the ic off Titanic and you get Titan. Take the ic off Olympic and you get... Olymp. Which is short for Olympian, I'm sure.
This is: Mother Nature
Percy, Annabeth
Summary preview: Mother Nature didn't always hate the gods.

"So when the zombies come and devour you, I will do nothing but laugh at your pain. Maybe keep a toe as a keepsake. Also, cannibal ducks because that is a thing according to Jem."
"That's just great, Annabeth." Percy muttered, completely oblivious to what she was saying. Annabeth sighed. She had hoped a mention of zombies would at the very least catch his attention, but alas, zombies seemed to be just a Nico thing.
Her attention was caught by two rather loud Aphrodite children. "Oh my gods, yes. I love that movie with a burning passion. Leonardo was fine." he gushed to his friend. "And how romantic was it when Rose when back to save him?" was the reply.
"I know!" the two's laughter faded as they continued on.
Percy scoffed, breaking out of his reverie. "I will never understand society's hang up on that movie. My mom made me watch it when I was younger, and I honestly can only remember that the 'good' guy died and the boat sank. And how romantic can a story be when the threat of drowning in a freezing ocean hangs over your head? I'm fairly certain people were more worried about staying alive then some wild woman throwing a necklace off the side of a boat. Although, Dad did appreciate the tip."
Annabeth gazed at him for a moment before nodding. "I completely agree, Seaweed Brain."
Percy coughed. "Seriously? Yes!" said Percy as he punched the air. Annabeth laughed at his antics.
"Of course. I do have some theories behind why the Titanic sank, however."
"Really? Because I kind of wondered if it was a freak accident Dad let happen or if he went out of his way to bring it down." Percy spoke, his voice gaining enthusiasm.
"I think that it was a freak accident that Poseidon could have prevented but deliberately chose not to. Just think about it. The ship was named after the Titans. The Titanic was much better press than the ship named after the Olympians, despite the two ships being nearly identical. For that matter, I doubt many people are aware that the Titanic had two sister ships, Olympic and Britannic." Annabeth explained.
"I am not trying to minimized what happened- it was a tragic event. No one can refute that. Plus the engine work was simply amazing. There is always the "what-if" of if they had named the ship something else, maybe Poseidon would have spared them. One can never really know."
Percy nodded. "It seems like Mother Nature was on the Olympic side at that moment."
"Let's just hope she stays that way."
