Me: 1/4th the way through?! WHAAAATTT? YEAH! This is actually a major accomplishment because I never really expected to get past chapter 9.
In respect of chapter 25, have some Percabeth. And vague hints of Heroes of Olympus.
This is: Trouble Lurking
Annabeth
Summary preview: Why should she worry when he was right there?

When she felt a sense of trouble lurking, Annabeth ignored it. Percy was with her on a constant basis and together they could take down almost anything. If the King of Gods was too much of a coward to deal with it, the demigods would figure it out eventually. But here and now was just Percy and her, skiing lining their future.
How could she possibly focus on a distant, maybe threat when Percy was softly kissing her and making her doubt that her heart would ever slow?
He told her those three wonderful words and Annabeth smiled as she leaned towards his ear to whisper them back. She loved him more then he could ever possibly know.
But time passed and far too soon she woke up to find Percy missing from breakfast. The troubled feeling grew into a knot in her stomach. When she received no answer after knocking on her door, the knot began gnawing on her stomach. Barging into his room revealed nothing but a made bed (Percy never made his bed in the mornings) and an abandoned camp necklace.
Refusing the prickle behind her eyes, she took the necklace and headed swiftly to the Big House. Any hope that she was merely being paranoid vanished as Chiron's face took on a look of horror. A search party was called for and the knot had grown into an overwhelming certainty that something terrible was coming.
Percy was gone and no one knew where to, why, or even how it had happened.
And as it turned out, Percy's disappearance was just the start of her world crumbling down.
