A Spy's Life Reboot EP 29: Of Predators and Prey Part 1
I don't own anything except my OCs. Some of the predators mentioned and seen belongs to Enderknight1.
At the Mall's arcade, Ben is playing a racing game against Alex as he grins out. "No way, you can keep up with me Alex! I own this game!" "In your dreams, little brother! I'm getting that trophy!" She grins back as they keep playing. The teen then decides to say something that is on her mind. "You know, I really needed this! In case you haven't noticed, Ben. Me and my girls have been swamped with School, hobbies and saving the world. It's nice to just enjoy yourself after all that has happened recently."
"Tell me about it!" Ben grins out as he makes a sharp turn, only to get a thinking look as he voices out a thought in his head. "Yet, there's something else that is also bothering us as well. Can't be Kevin… It involves aliens… What was it again?" Ben thinks out, only for a rumble to cut him off as the wall the game is hooked onto explodes as a giant head sticks in. It looks like a rhino with red eyes and black marking around them and sharp teeth with it's skin that looks like it's made of rock as it held a familiar collar on it's neck. The beast roars out as Ben got a deadpan look. "Oh, yeah… Now I remember."
Intro:
The screen is black, only for a bolt of green lightning to makes a flash of white light as upbeat music is heard.
Ben stands as he is smirking at the camera as a black with green bubbles background is behind the tween, making the boy raise both his arms and shows off his new Omnitrix and then slaps down with a grin, making a flash of light.
"BEN 10!"
"He's a kid and he wants to have fun!"
Upgrade with hands on hips appears as a close-up of his face shows up in the background as a bolt of lightning comes down.
Big Chill flies across and freezes as the same thing happens to Swampfire, leaping out of an explosion.
"But when you need a superhero, he gets the job done!"
"BEN 10!"
Shock Rock smashes his fists together, sending out waves of electricity that affects the 4th wall.
"With A device that he wears on his arm."
"He can change his shape and save the world from harm!"
Ben poses with his Omnitrix, just as headshots of Shock Rock, Water Hazard, Big Chill and Crashhopper show up, one-by-one.
Rath was staring at Grey Matter, who hopped along a bunch of platforms with the watch symbol on it as the tiger alien was confused before it turned into rage as he held his head in anger.
"When trouble's taking place."
Ben was then running towards the screen.
"He gets right in it's face!"
"BEN 10!"
Humungousaur, Slapback, Fasttrack and Gravattack's headshots show up as well!
A green circuit board background is shown as 5 aliens show up in a row as Ben was staring at the 4th wall as his right side is shown. The aliens are Shock Rock, Fasttrack, Rath, Swampfire, Gravattack and 4 Slapbacks.
"When lives are on the line."
The same thing happens with his left side as more aliens appear. The aliens are now: Big Chill, Water Hazard, Grey Matter, Humungousaur, Crashhopper and Upgrade, which is still in normal form.
"It's hero time!"
"BEN 10!"
It ends with Ben and Alex, standing side to side with crossed arms and smirks as well as Normie and Madison on Ben's side and Sam and Clover on Alex's side the title appears above.
The beast burst through the wall, revealing that it has a mixture between a rhino and a crab body with 6 legs as Ben and Alex backs away. "You picked the wrong hero to mess with! Here we go, Humungousaur!" Ben cries out as he makes his choice and slaps down on the watch, only to get Swampfire instead! "Swampfire? That didn't even sound like Humungousaur!" But nonetheless, the alien blasted his flame at the monster, only to be surprised to see the flame didn't even make it flinch. "And… It's fireproof. Great… Okay! Plan B!" He decides to chuck his seeds at the beast as they grow into vines that entangled the legs, trapping it as the hero smirks out. "Oh, yeah! Let's see you get out of that, rock face!" But to his surprise, it has changed into a new alien form!
The being is now a large, spider-like alien that is grey and black with multiple spines down its pointed abdominal. It has 2 large pinchers, covering its fang filled mouth. Its legs are green and black at the lower half. It has 8 red eyes, all glaring at Swampfire and lastly, it has sacks of snot green liquids all over its body. The being starts spitting acid at the vines, melting them as it frees itself and gives a screech as Alex freaks out. "SPIDER! I HATE SPIDERS!" She runs off as Swampfire glances back. "Guess it's up to me then… Just how I like it!" The being charged as Swampfire ignites his fists and delivers 2 fire punches to knock the giant alien spider away. Only for the beast to get back up and spew out a gas breath from its mouth as Swampfire sidesteps, only to be surprised that it is melting a sign. "Dude! 2 words: Mouth Wash!"
The spider then tackles Swampfire as they are crashing through a wall and make it to the outside parking lot, which everyone got out and far away in time. Swampfire blasts the spider off him and throws fireballs at the alien spider. "Come on, long legs! Scared of a little heat?" But unbeknownst to him, Khyber was observing the battle as he frowns out. "Hmm... Perhaps It's time to fight fire with fire, as the Earthlings say." He then whistles out, making the spider leap back as it changes into a new Predator!
The new Predator resembles a long, enormous dragon made of violet Shock Rock energy. She has stone plating on her back that stops a quarter-way past her tail, and stone plating on her forearms, shoulders, shins, and hips. She has a head made of stone with sharp stone eyebrows, a stone horn on her nose, two horns made of violet Shock Rock energy on her head, and teeth and the inside of her mouth made of violet Shock Rock energy. She has five red eyes, one under each eyebrow, a smaller one under each of those two eyes, and one in between her eyebrows. She has two large wings made of stone that each have a wing web made of violet Shock Rock energy.
Swampfire got a dread look as he glances up as it hovers above with her wings, grinning evilly down at the Methanosian. "I'm… going out on a limb here and say your Shock Rock's nemesis, right?" He got a loud roar in his face in response, feeling saliva being thrown in his face as he was pushed back a bit from the winds. "Oh, boy." BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH "Make that an oh, man!" Ben cries out in dismay at timing out as he grins sheepisly at the predator, who narrows her eyes in response. But just then…
"HANG ON, BRO!" Alex cries out as he is now in her spy suit as she uses her Net-Throwing Mascara to pin the beast down. "Got him!" "Nice!" Only for the monster to tore through it as they got surprised look. "Never mind." But as they dodged some violet fire, that it blasted from it's mouth, Khyber, watching from a roof, hummed to himself in thought and whistle, making the Shock Rock Predator stop and took off into the air as both humans watched it fly off. "Wonder why it stopped when It got us cornered?" Alex ponders out as Ben adds in. "That's something we'll never know."
Later, Sam is driving Alex and Ben home as they both explain the events that happened. "Man! That's got be like the 5th time that thing jumped me! 1st, there was Animo and the Ants. Then Kevin at Burger Barn. Then the time at the beach with that giant sea, monster shark thing that almost made lunch out of Ripjaws. Then at School, where I had to handle some lizard-y version of Diamondhead as Humungousaur. And now that rock crab, acid spider and Shock Rock dragon things! This thing doesn't give up, whatever it is."
"Yeah! You should have seen it, Sammy! That thing was big, scary, creepy and ugly, rolled into one monster package!" "I know. Why are we just driving around instead of investigating it?" "We are!" Ben assures as he kicks his feet up. "We wait until it makes another come after of me. It always does. Trust me! I've got—" "A year of experience handling these things." Alex and Sam deadpan out as Ben frowns. "It's no fun when you spoil it."
Sam spoke out as she made a turn. "Ben, when you turned into a Methanosian…" "Huh? You mean Swampfire?" "The rock crab monster was a Crabdozer, the Predator of Heatblast's kind. Which is the reason why his fire abilities didn't affect it." "I never thought my aliens had predators. But now that you mentioned it, those things are like that hypno-bug alien Grandpa showed me. He mentioned they hunt creatures that phase through solid matter like Ghostfreak…" The 11-year-old's mind clicks as he realized something else! That alien species his grandpa mentioned before, Necrofriggians, can phase through things. And he has an alien that has the same ability as well! He dials the Omnitrix to Big Chill's icon as he whispers out. "That explains why that thing attacked me before. It must have sensed Big Chill, before I got him."
"And when you used your vines to trap his legs..." Ben snaps out of it as he goes back to Sam's words. "It changed itself into a Acidumarthropod, the Predator of a species called the Segmentasapiens. But it used the Acid abilities it had because It was effective against your plants and vines." Alex ponders as she thinks back. "Now that you mention it… That thing did seem smarter than it looks."
"And that Dragon you faced? It was called a Fulgurvore, the predator of Shock Rock's race. It changed into that beast because it knew its last 2 forms couldn't defeat Swampfire." "How do you know all this stuff?" Ben questions out to Sam. "Last week, Jerry was able to hook me up to the Alien Lifeform Database of the Extranet. Really amazing stuff!"
Ben frowns as he glances at his watch. "Those other 2 predators at the Beach and School… I think those things are Water Hazard and Diamondhead's predators as well. And that collar it have… Look kind of like the Omnitrix… Bet you girls, 10 million bucks that's how it transforms!" Ben smirks out at solving the mystery. "Well, considering the new activity of aliens, now showing up on Earth, I wouldn't be surprised." Sam spoke out as Alex pondered something as well. "You know when I was getting my suit, I heard some sort of whistle. After that, the creature changed into Storm Dragon." The 2 glances at Alex as she explains. "Shock Rock's Predator's new nickname. I wonder if that thing can hear stuff that only animals can hear?"
Ben then thought of something. "The default form of those monsters is some sort of Saber-Tooth Tiger alien. I wonder if that thing can hear sounds that only Wildmutt, or Kevin's case, Bloodhound can hear?" "Only one way to find out." Sam spoke out as she accelerated.
The Trio of spies and Ben searched all over town for clues but didn't find anything for hours. After a while they regrouped and report their lack of findings. "Nothing! We searched all over for some slobbering, cat-monster thingy and nothing!" Clover complains as she crossed her arms. "Relax! As soon as the monster jumps me, again, we'll get all the answers." Ben walks off as Sam scoffs out. "Typical. Another go-with-the-flow, plan. Again!" "What was that?" "That's all you do! You never plan or think things through! You just turn into an alien and just blast or hit stuff and hope for a result!" Sam exclaims as Ben looks back with a frown. "Excuse me?! May I mention how many—"
"Times you save the universe by yourself? Zip! None! There's always someone to help you out, but you never credit them!" Clover frowns out as Ben got more upset. "Well, excuse me, princess! At least I fought real bad guys! Not the big jokes locked up in the Facility!" "Hey! The Baddies we face are just as bad and dangerous as your villains!" Alex frowns as Ben scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Please! Trying to make the world slow, just so you can be faster? Rewriting everything back to the 1970's, just because it's your favorite era? Making everyone float, just because you were stuck in space for 20 years? Those aren't villain schemes! Those sound like lame Plotlines for a Saturday cartoon!"
"I can take someone dissing us! But you dissing our job? You're nothing by a spoiled, ego-centric brat, whose only reason he's special is because of that stupid watch on your arm!" Sam frowns as she points at the Omnitrix. "If I had that watch instead of you, I would actually use it responsibly!" "You know?" Ben angry glares up. "I'm starting to think that whatever my original self did to get me sent here, was a huge mistake." "Finally! Something we all can agree on!" Alex crosses her arms in response. "You all want to start something?!" Ben preps his Omnitrix, waiting for a response, only for Clover to coldly responds. "No… We're ending it."
The girls storm off in a huff as they got into the car and Alex tosses out something and backs into it, crushing it as it took off as Ben picks up the object. "Great… They even crushed my WOOHP Badge as well. Whatever!" Ben took off in a huff, unaware of Khyber and his pet is watching the whole thing as well. Just then, his gauntlet beeps as Khyber answers, displaying a red Hologram of a small, crab-like alien with an oversized pincher. "I'm beginning to think you are not the right person for the j-j-j-j-job, Khyber." "This unique quarry requires a studied approach."
"Studied approach?! We're talking about a Human c-c-c-c-c-child! Those primitives are so backwatered, that can't even operate a simple p-p-p-p-p-photon light array! I admit, when I heard that Azmuth's Omnitrix was destroyed many years ago along with Vilgax, I was truly surprised. But an a-a-a-a-alternate Omnitrix and it's welder, from another dimension? Bring Tennyson in so we can get the DNA samples." The call ends as Khyber spoke out. "Bring him to me." The tiger alien roars as it went after Ben.
"Okay! How do you lure a giant, viscous, Saber-Tooth Tiger alien out? Treats? Alien cat nip? Or a big litter box?" Ben ponders out as he kept walking around, only to stop and turn towards a pet store and see a sell on whistles. "Wait a sec! Whistles! The beast responds to whistles! HA! Look at me, figuring it all out on my own. And those girls say I need help with everything." Ben slyly chuckles out as he went into the store and looks for the whistles. "Hi! I'm looking for special whistles. It's for a… special dog." Ben askes the owner as the man nods and got out a box of whistles but stop the kid before he can touch it. "It will cost ya, even it's on sell." Ben start searching into his pockets. "Really hope I didn't blow everything at the Arcade."
Ben left the store with his new purchase, even if it cost him his entire allowance for the week. He then kept walking and went down an alley, away from plain sight. "Okay… I don't what kind of sound the whistle was. So, I guess I better blow them all and hope for the best." He dug out one whistle and blows on it, looking around to see no monsters. "1 down, A dozen more to go." But as Ben kept blowing on whistles, he is unaware of the tiger alien running across rooftops, only to pick up on the sounds and gazes down at the boy. Khyber was also nearby and gave his whistle as Ben stop. "Hey! That's the one! But… I didn't blow it?"
As Ben gazes down in confusion, he heard a noise and glances up, only to cry out in shock as the alien predator roars out as it pouches down, making Ben leap out of the way as the alien smashes the box of whistles. "Hey! I spend all my allowance on those! Now I'll never get a refund!" Ben cries out as the tiger just growls at him. "Well, I wanted to draw you out, pussy cat! And here we are! One on one!" Ben grins out as the beast narrows her eyes at him. Suddenly in flashes of red light, there were now 3 of her as Ben is shocked. "What the?! How did you do that?!"
Just then, Khyber leaps down behind the boy as he glances back, just as the 3 tiger aliens walk past the boy as he gains a smile, figuring out who's who. "Well… Guess it worked after all! Looks like me wondering around, 'seemly confused' managed to draw out the mastermind behind the monster attacks. So, you going to let your pet cat fight you battle for you?" Ben smirks as he gets ready to push the button his watch, but Khyber, in a burst of speed, grabs the 11-year-old by his wrist as he pins against a wall. "No… I'll take care of you, myself." Ben gulps as he got a bad feeling about this alien.
Ben struggles as he wiggles, barley slipping out of Khyber's grasp as he avoided a fist, running behind the pinned hunter as he struggles as Ben smirks at his predicament. "So… This is usually the part where the big, ugly, alien bad guy introduce himself. I'll go first. Hi! I'm Ben Tennyson! The kid who's going to kick your sorry butt! And you're name?" "I am Khyber. The last thing you will ever see." His gills starts whistling as Ben rolls his eyes in response. "Oh, please! If I have a quarter for every time I heard-"
Suddenly, he was knocked away by one of the beasts as the 3 circles around him. Ben got up as he dusts himself off. "Okay… Time to take care of these things, for good!" Ben made his selection and slaps down on the Omnitrix and turns into Slapback, who then splits himself into 4. "Okay, Slapbacks! Let's show these kitty cats who's the boss!" "You got it, dude!" They all split up and took on each beast.
Khyber manages to break free as he notices his pets were getting beaten around by Slapback. "Hmm.. An Ekoplektoid. Difficult because there one of the very few beings that doesn't have a predator. No matter! I can adapt." He whistles as the Slapbacks all pin the cats down in one pile, only for them to transform into a single Slamworm and threw them across the city. "AHHHH!" They all crashed into the park as they groan. "Okay… Definitely should have seen that coming." Only to time out as he groans out. "Great! Well, at least those 2 are far away, so I got some time."
But suddenly, the Slamworm pops out in front and screeches out. "Gaah!" Ben starts running, almost making it to the tree, only for some lasers to stop him as he glanced over to see Khyber in a tree with laser rifle. "Oh, come on!" "So, any last words?" Ben notices the Omnitrix is recharged and grins out. "Yeah! Bye!" FLASH Crashhopper springs up and headbutts Slamworm from under the chin, sending it tumbling back as the alien hero lands away, standing in a heroic pose.
"Fight back all you want! There is a predator, for every kind of prey!" Slamworm leaps up as Khyber whistles, changing into Mucilator as Crashhopper springs away at the last second. "You might have a point…" Crashhopper groans out as he lands, leaping away as the fat alien predator came charging like a bull. Crashhopper kept using his speed and agility to keep away from the predator and it's goo sacks. But just then, it lashes out it's long tongue and grabs Crashhopper's leg, swinging him around and chucks him as they alien went flying with him screaming as Khyber follow after his prey. Crashhopper went slamming against a water tower, front first, but also hits the Omnitrix Symbol as well. FLASH
Ben tumbles down with a thud, groaning as he rubs his head, only to notice his yeti-like body. "Hey! How did I change from Crashhopper to Shocksquatch, eh?"
He gazes down to spot Khyber and grins out. "Well, might as well go with it!" He leaps down and crashes with a thunk as Khyber glances back as the Alien sasquatch made his fur danced with lightning as he grins out. "Looks like the hunting boot is on the other… foot, I guess? Anyway! I traveled to alternate worlds! I saved universes and billions of people, before! I defeated Vilgax, a mutated sorceress, a rogue Ectonaurite and his followers, the Forever Knights, tons of Bounty Hunters, Supernatural and paranormal creatures, even a mad space monkey pretending to be a god! What makes you any better, huh?!"
Khyber glares out. "Experience." Just then, a rumbling got the alien's noticed as he glanced back to see a charging Crabdozer! WHAM "GAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Shocksquatch cries out as he is launched and crashes into the docks. BANG FLASH
Raptor-Rang groans as he rubs his head and notices his new form. "Seriously! I've got to know how I did that." As the alien dinosaur hunter moves out of the crates, he dodged a laser bolt as he glances up at a chuckling Khyber on top of some crates. "Laugh all you want, Khyber! This time, it's hunter vs hunter!" "Please." He scoffs out as Raptor-Rang turns invisible. Khyber glances around, only to get knocked off. As Khyber stood up, he was hit a few times, but then grabs something in mid-air, showing to be a surprised Raptor-Rang as his fist is caught!
"Your technique is poor." He knocks Raptor-Rang away as the alien lizard snarls out. "How's this for technique!?" He whips out his kusarigama and whips at Khyber, who dodges and runs from the blades as he ducks a few times. Khyber drew his own blade and clashes against the boomerang blades, getting into a sword fight. "It looks like a stallmate." Khyber spoke as they got into a blade lock. "Maybe for you! But mine's got some tricks up it's sleeves!" Raptor-Rang grins out as he electrifies his rangs and shocks Khyber away. He then turns his blades into ice as he then sliced Khyber's blade into 3. "Any last words for you?" "Yes… Sic him!" Khyber cries out as Raptor-Rang is confused and glances back at a new predator.
This is a Snake like alien that is the same size as Crabdozer with a red under tone color with a lightest underbelly and a blue color for the top half. It has gills on where it's ears would be like Wildmutt and Bloodhound. She has tones of white spikes all over it's top half and trails down her body to the near end of her tail. It has a hood like a cobra and white fangs with forked tongue. It has red eyes and 4 legs with 3 large purplish claws in front with a small one in the back. It lastly has the Nemetrix collar around it's hood base.
Spitstrike screeches out as it fires gooey slime that sticks to Raptor-Rang. "What the?" The alien tries to break free, but find it super sticky. The predator snake then whacks him hard with her tail and sent Raptor-Rang flying into some boxes. The alien stumbles out of the boxes, damaged and breathing heavily from the intense fight. "Give up, yet?" "No… I was just letting my pet play with you, for a bit." Raptor-Rang then threw an Earth Boomerang at him, but Khyber used his rifle like a club and knocks it back, smacking the alien on his back, only to time out! Ben weakly tries to reach for the Omnitrix, only to find it glowing red. "No… Not now." Khyber then chuckles as he picks up the defeated boy by his arm, dangling him as he obtained his prize! The holder of the Omnitrix: Ben 10!
