But first, we'll see what type of reaction Rouge & Omega will have once they meet Team Sonic and Shion, along with Shadow being a father. Hope you all like it!

Shadow remained stunned as he stared at the white bat right in front of him, confused on why she is here and when she became a vender? He hadn't contacted her or Omega in months ever since he quit G.U.N. And now, she is here at the Farmer's Market on this pathetic island. Yes, Shadow still thinks the village and their people are fools, except for a few he can trust such as Doctor Ginger and Earl's wife Emily, who are both intelligent and have common sense.

He still couldn't believe one of his former teammates would be here. But if Rouge is here, then what about Omega? Are they here together, or is he somewhere else? Hopefully, not in G.U.N.'s facility since Shadow still doesn't trust them. Though for now, he'll have to figure out what he must say to Rouge, because it looks like she is about to say something.

"Shadow…" he heard her say.

"It's me, Rouge," he answered.

"You… YOU FREAKIN IDIOT!"

She pounced on him, but not to hurt him. Instead, she wrapped her arms and wings around him, squeezing him tight so he wouldn't escape from her grip. He stiffened, but then told himself to relax when he felt her shaking. His shoulder felt wet, and his ears picked up on the sounds of someone sobbing.

Is Rouge crying?

"Why the hell did you not tell us you were going!?" Rouge leaned back to glare at him, tears still leaking from the corner of her eyes. "Omega & I tried to contact you multiple times, but you never answered! We didn't even knew you quit until the commander informed us on where you could be!"

"Rouge-

"Don't even start, Shadow! You should've left a note, a text, or a clue on what's going on with you! Instead, you decided to go solo without informing us!?"

"I didn't-

"But you did! Were you aware that the commander sent some of the soldiers to find you because they couldn't risk having you leave the organization!? Omega & I kept refusing to follow his commands because we knew you never wanted to be used as a weapon again!"

Sniffing, Rouge wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. "We were both so worried about you, Shadow. Have you forgotten that we're not only a team, but a crazy family who always have each other's backs?"

Shadow shook his head, hesitant to look at her. "I couldn't put you two in danger because of me. That's why I had to leave."

"It's a load of bull and you know it! Remember what I told you before!?"

"No matter what dangerous situation we're in, we'll face it head on."

"Even if it kills us."

Closing his eyes shut to prevent himself from breaking down, he slowly opened them to gaze at her. "Rouge, I-I know an apology won't make up for leaving you two without informing you both of my whereabouts, but I've gotten better now. I-I really wanted to see you both again. Really."

"You got that right, mister," Rouge flicked his nose. "If you really want to make it up to the two of us, then treat us to our favorite foods while explaining to us what happened after you left!"

"Does this mean Omega is with you?"

"Yes, and he also has a lot to say once he sees you!"

Shadow smirked a bit with his eyes closed. "Then I'll have to endure his wrath."

"Good luck with that, handsome," Rouge grinned, exposing her fangs.

Someone loudly cleared their throat, causing them to turn their heads to see who it was. Sonic frowned, placing one hand on his hip while the other is holding Shion as his foot tapped furiously against the ground. "Shadow, you better start explaining on how you two know each other. I thought you said you were too shy to make friends."

Rouge snorted. "Trust me, hon. He was extremely shy when I first met him." Her eyes landed on Shion, causing her to squeal in delight as she flew over to where he is, gushing at how cute he is. "Never in my life have I ever seen such a cute little baby hedgehog!"

Shion cooed, sucking on his thumb as his other hand reached out to her. Rouge squealed, letting him hold her finger. "This is the first time I have seen a mini-Shadow!"

Suddenly, she realized something, as she twisted her head with her eyes closed and smile crooked. "Shadow, is there something else you forgot to tell me?"

Shadow took a step back, recalling what that expression meant. He had seen her use it a lot of times on those who dare mess with her, and from that experience, it's something no one did not want to go through. He & Omega were lucky to never anger her, but today, he isn't that lucky.

"Omega, let me go."

"I REFUSE."

"And why not?"

"THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT."

"Trapping me in your robotic arms?"

"AFFIRMATIVE."

"Why couldn't we spar instead?"

"IT DOES NOT COUNT AS BRUTAL PUNISHMENT. IT MUST BE CRUEL & INHUMANE."

"You mean this death trap?"

"IF YOU ARE REFERRING TO MY BEAR HUG, THEN YES. YOU ARE TO STAY TRAPPED IN HERE UNTIL I AM CERTAIN YOU WILL NOT LEAVE AGAIN."

"Omega, I'm living here on this island."

"ROUGE & I SHALL LIVE HERE TO KEEP A BETTER EYE ON YOU."

Shadow sighs, getting into a comfortable position as he sat down on the floor with Omega sitting behind him and trapping him in a bear hug with his gigantic robotic arms. Rouge is busy giving Shion lots of her maternal love and affection, mostly to become his favorite aunty and wanting to spoil him rotten.

Plus, Shadow cannot stop her because she's still angry at Shadow for not only disappearing from her & Omega, but for also not informing them that Shadow is a father, and the both of them are Shion's aunt and uncle. Meeting Sonic also surprised them, but luckily, Sonic liked his teammates and wanted to get to know them while also letting them be part of Shion's life as his family.

"Care for this yummy coconut drink, my fair lady?" Knuckles offered an opened coconut filled with juice, slice of orange, straw, and tiny umbrella to Rouge.

Rouge, who was tickling Shion's belly, giggled behind her mouth. "Why of course~ Thank you, handsome~"

She took the drink, pecked his cheek, and sipped through the straw. "Delicious~"

Knuckles turned red, touching the spot where she kissed him, then had a dreamy expression on his face as he looked at her with hearts floating around his head. "You're welcome, pretty lady."

"Great job, Knuckles!" Sonic gave him a thumbs up. "It's obvious she likes you!"

Rouge giggled. "I do love a big, strong man who brings me treasure~"

"I think she's talking about me!" Knuckles giddily replied with a huge grin while shaking his fists rapidly in front of him.

Amy cleared her throat. "Miss Rouge, you mentioned before both you & Omega worked with Shadow in the past?"

"That's correct, and please just call me Rouge," Rouge held Shion close to her.

"What exactly did you all work at?"

"Top secret, hon. We're not allowed to say."

"Are you spies working for the government!?" Sticks stared at her suspiciously.

Rouge tickled Shion, who giggled. "Let's just say we work for people we dislike just for a check."

"ALONG WITH BENEFITS, INSURANCE, AND OTHERS," Omega added.

Sticks yelped, jumping back as she pointed her staff at him threateningly. "I'm still onto you, evil robot! You will never control my thoughts!"

"Sticks, he's a good robot. Remember, not all robots are evil," Tails explained.

"This is why I don't trust technology!"

"You also don't trust in our government."

"Their politics had corrupted us all! I won't stand for it!"

Tails shook his head. "So Omega, what are your special abilities?"

Omega turned his head to gaze at Tails. "INFORMATION ABOUT ME IS CLASSIFIED."

Shadow rolled his eyes. "He blows up everything and causes mass destruction." He nearly hissed when he felt himself being squeezed tighter. "There's no point in hiding your abilities since you'll be staying on this island!"

"CORRECTION – I WILL ONLY USE MY ABILITIES FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY."

"Such as?"

"CLASSIFIED."

Shadow tsked, then looked over to what Rouge is doing. "Rouge, don't even think about kidnapping my son."

"I'm his aunty. I'm allowed to kidnap my nephew," Rouge winked at him. "Plus, I need to make up for not being there for him when he was born."

"The circumstances of his birth were different from mine."

"You still should've told us you got yourself a boyfriend and a son."

"I could not risk contacting you in fear-

"Relax, hon. Omega & I terminated our contracts with our old workplace. Now, the both of us work at a coffee shop we own together."

"Seriously?"

"We even named it after you. We call it 'Shadow's Lair'."

"How amusing. I forgot to laugh."

"Oh don't be such a baby," Rouge nuzzled Shion's nose. "Speaking of babies, when are you and blue gonna have another one?"

Sonic choked on his spit, turning red as he frantically waved his hands back and forth. "H-Hold on! Shion is only 3 months old, and I'm still recovering!"

Shadow sighs. "Once Shion turns 4 years old, then Sonic & I can decide on whether or not we can give him a sibling."

Rouge smirked, tickling Shion's belly as he squealed while giggling cutely. "Make sure you give your pup a little sister. I want to dress her up in cute dresses."

"And if the next pup is a boy?"

"Then keep on being intimate in the bedroom until you two have a girl."

"It would be nice having a daughter."

Sonic squeaked, seeing the others were also blushing red from their conversation. "H-Hey! Nothing inappropriate in front of my friends and pup! We're right here!"

Rouge winked at him. "Want any tips on how to spice up your sex life with Shadow?~"

"Not in front of my baby!"

Sonic's eyes widened in astonishment as he finished reading his letter. "Holy moly, it actually happened."

Shadow, who was feeding Shion some milk from his bottle, glanced over at his mate. "What actually happened?"

"Mephiles & Silver are gonna be parents."

"They're having a pup together?"

"Yeah," Sonic sat next to Shadow on their couch. "2 weeks after they left Seaside Island, they started going out. However, they've gotten too frisky, and Silver ended up getting pregnant, which is shocking because I had no idea a male hedgehog like him could bear a child like I did."

"Then our pup would have a rival to spar with," Shadow replied.

"Or a new playmate since it'll be another hedgehog around his age," Sonic smiled at Shion.

Shadow smirked. "Then let's hope their pup can keep up with ours."

"I know Shion will get our superspeed."

"Along with my chaos powers. It's obvious he will inherit my title as the Ultimate Lifeform."

"Or Knight of the Wind."

"Our next pup can have that title."

"Remember, we're waiting until Shion is 4 and then give him a sibling later."

"But we will mate once you're fully recovered from childbirth."

"Just remember not to go too rough on me until I can handle your aggressive dominant side."

"I'll keep that in mind."
