Edmund ran out of the room and felt the chilly air and cold hit his skin. It felt the same way it did, when Edmund was in the castle so long ago. The ocean started to freeze over with ice. The ship stopped moving. The sky started to swell up with dark-grey clouds. Edmund watched as the crew stood around confused. One yelled, "What the hell is going on?"

Edmund heard Caspian yell from somewhere, "It's the White Witch! She's coming back!"

There was clattered discussions going on with the crew. Some were scared, others were in disbelief. Edmund yelled, "Enough!" The whole deck got quiet as Edmund continued, "She is strong and smart! She'll kill any and/or all of us! We need to be prepared and not scared!"

Caspian was proud Edmund was the one who took charge. Edmund was the one who knew the White Witch the most. He knew Edmund was considered a traitor, but now he's so much more than that.

Eustace was the most confused. He asked Peter, "A Witch? What is she?"

Peter shook his head, "She almost killed Ed and I in a battle. When we were here way before Caspian."

Eustace nodded his head. "What do we do?"

Peter sighed and gave Eustace a sword. "If you see her try and stick her with the pointy end."

Peter rushed off and found Caspian. Peter asked, "Do you see her at all?"

Caspian shook his head. Suddenly, the clouds let go of its precipitation. It was snowing in the middle of the ocean. It was sticking to the ice and the hair of the men on the ship. Caspian then said, "I think she's close."

Susan didn't know what to do. She was in so much shock she couldn't scream, speak, or move. Lucy felt the same way. They thought they would never see her again. The White Witch moved forward, which made Susan draw back her bow. The White Witch scoffed and Susan's arrow was frozen. Susan threw it to the ground, and the White Witch spoke first, "Now isn't this a pleasant surprise? Both of the daughters of eve in my presence once again. But now the two of you are all grown up. Queen Susan the Gentle with child, is a new sight as well."

Susan growled. "Stay back! Please don't hurt anyone."

The White Witch chuckled. "Why? What can you do to me? You have no power over me, neither does your husband, which I might add if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be married to him right now."

Lucy quietly pulled a dagger from her shoe, while the Witch was preoccupied with Susan. Lucy then threw it with all her might at the Witch. She stopped it with a block of ice. The Witch chuckled once again and focused her attention on Lucy. "Your name does you justice Queen Lucy the Valiant. I wonder, are you brave all the time?"

Lucy stood up for herself. "I am braver than you think."

"Let's test that out, shall we?" The Witch used her magic for something that Susan and Lucy didn't know. The White Witch whispered into the wind, "Bring me the boy named, Frederick."

Peter heard a noise coming from the ocean. The ice was cracking. Then the ice started to develop creatures. They were ice men that were about seven feet tall. Peter pulled out his sword as did Caspian, who was standing right next to him. Eustace ran up next Peter and asked, "Did the White Witch make those?"

Peter nodded his head. There were about six of them headed right for the ship. The one that made it on board was right in front of Peter, Caspian, and Eustace. Caspian went at it with his sword. All it did was make a dent in the ice. Peter chopped at the ice man too. Eustace yelled, "Go for the legs. No legs means no walking."All three started wacking at the ice man's legs. The one leg finally came off, and the ice man fell to the ground.

Frederick was all on his own fighting one of the ice men. It knocked him out by smashing it's ice hands on his head. It picked Frederick up and carried him to Susan and Caspian's room.

Susan and Lucy were waiting in the room with fear. Then they heard something at the door. An ice man approached the Queens with Frederick over its shoulder. Lucy and Susan kept a straight face to not show any emotion to their enemy, they didn't want to show weakness. The White Witch then grabbed Susan. She put a knife at Susan's stomach.

Susan struggled underneath her grasp but failed. Then Frederick woke up, and the ice man held him back. The White Witch then said, "To test out your bravery you either choose Susan's baby or Frederick."

Susan started to scream out, "Please please, don't do this. I'm not even supposed to have children. This baby is a miracle."

"All the more reason to destroy it. This Frederick is also a mere commoner, why keep him alive. Might as well kill him now knowing he's no use to Queen Lucy, and she'll choose to kill him anyway."

The ice man was close to cracking Frederick's head open until Lucy screamed, "No! Don't kill him! I love him!"

The White Witch laughed, "Well then I think you made your choice. Queen Susan's baby it is. You never met it, so how can you love it as much as Frederick?"

The White Witch almost penetrated Susan's skin and Susan screamed, until a dagger came at the Witch's hand and hit her palm. It was Lucy who threw it. This gave Susan enough time to run from the Witch.

Caspian heard a scream, a familiar scream, come from his room. Caspian ran to his room, the door was frozen shut. He yelled, "Susan!"

Susan yelled back while crying, "Caspian! She's in here! Help!"

Caspian tried to break the door down. The White Witch laughed. "Why, I guess you proved me wrong. That was a brave thing to do. Very brave. But very stupid."

She snapped her fingers, and the ice man dropped Frederick. He ran over to Lucy's side. The White Witch pulled out the dagger causing her hand to bleed a great amount. She then froze ice over the wound, which stopped the bleeding. She gave the three standing before her a malevolent look. She snapped her fingers again, and the ice man picked up Susan. She screamed, "Put me down! Put me down!"

The ice man kicked the door down knocking Caspian to the ground. It ran on the deck and jumped onto the frozen water. Caspian ran into the room not seeing Susan. He saw for the first time in a long time, the White Witch. She smiled at him and said, "High King Caspian X. What a wonderful surprise. I saw your wife not too long ago."

He held up his sword and said with full anger and hatred, "Where is she? What are you doing to her?"

"Oh follow me and I'll show you." The White Witch walked past Caspian and onto the deck. She pointed out to where the ice man was standing in the middle of the ocean. She smiled and said, "On the snap of my finger I can have my ice man fall into the icy cold water with your wife. Oh and here's the fun part. Before she can swim to the top for air, I'll freeze the water back over."

Caspian held the sword to her throat. She then clicked her tongue and held up her hand and said, "I can snap anytime."

He dropped it and asked, "What is it that you want?"

"Your child."

Louise saw row boat and immediately rode out to the beach with other soldiers from the castle. Louise learned a few tricks with the sword from Peter. She waited for the people on the row boat to get to shore to see who it was. It was Markell and, a pregnant Rose? Louise had some soldiers help them get to shore. Louise questioned, "Markell?"

Markell smiled and ran to Louise. He hugged her and said breathlessly, "Finally, a familiar-friendly face."

"But I thought you were...dead. And why did Bilias let you off the ship so easily?"

Markell chuckled, "A lot of people think that I'm dead. Also, I might have killed Bilias and became captain. I need to talk to you, now."

Louise rode a horse back to the castle with Markell and Rose. They got into a empty conference room in the castle. Markell asked, "How lonely are you?"

Louise sighed, "Very. It's too much space for just me."

Rose smiled. "Well you shouldn't feel that lonely with a baby on the way."

Louise smiled back. "That does help, but it still doesn't beat the company of other people I can talk to."

Markell then turned serious. "Adeline, that old witch or whatever she is, is pretending to be Rose. She apparently killed Susan the other night. She wants to kill everyone in line to the throne in Narnia. That means everyone is in danger."

Louise felt a wave of sadness and grief hit her. "Susan is...d..dead?"

Rose pulled Louise into a hug as Louise cried. Rose said, "Hey, hey. Susan would probably want you to not cry."

Louise nodded. "You're right, it's just she's my best friend and now she's gone. I'm sorry for crying in front of you right now."

Rose gave her a kind smile. "It's quite all right. Markell cried too."

Louise wiped her eyes. "Do you have a plan?"

Markell nodded. "Since I'm still captian, I can sail my ship to their ship and tell them about Adeline."

Rose said, "I'm going to stay here with you if that's okay."

"That would be wonderful, like I said before, I was very lonely."

Rose hugged Louise again. "Thank you so much. Can I say goodbye to Markell privately?"

"Of course." When Louise left the room, the tears from her eyes fell uncontrollably. She ran into Susan and Caspian's room. She went through Susan's closet and looked at all the elaborate dresses Susan didn't take. She then lied down on Susan's bed and cried into Susan's pillow.

When Louise left the room, Rose said, "So. You're going to leave me, again."

"At least this time I'm giving you a heads up."

Rose walked closer to him, until she wrapped her arms around him. He asked, "Are you going to okay? With the baby and me not being here?"

"Of course I'll be fine. It's you I'm worried about. You just need to bring everyone else back alive, including yourself. Also, come back home fast, you actually have a reason to come back now."

She touched her bump and looked down at it. Markell put a finger under her chin and said looking into her eyes, "I've always had a reason to come back home."

Rose smiled at him and kissed him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and his hands were wrapped around her waist. When they pulled away, they smiled at one another. Markell whispered from the proximity, "I love you."

She giggled. "I love you too. You promise me you'll be back."

Markell kissed her one more time. "I promise." He kissed her forehead and then her belly. He said, "Goodbye." and he left Narnia without another word.

Caspian said, "No! No anything but our child. It's out of the question. No, please."

The White Witch sighed, "Either you give me your child when it's born, or I kill it now along with your wife."

Susan was out in the middle of the ocean. She didn't know why. She tried to get out of the ice man's grasp, but it was too hard. Then all of a sudden, someone was hitting a sword at the ice man's legs. The ice man fell to the ground. Susan did as well. The ice scrapped her knees and hands. Then the person, who cut down the ice man, grabbed Susan's arm to help her up.

Susan looked at his face. "William?"

He started to tug on her to keep running. "Someone had to to save you and the little princess."

Susan felt the ice underneath begin to crack. Susan whispered, "Stop."

William did as told and realized what was happening. The ice was cracking from the ice man falling on it. Susan said, "Don't move a muscle."

The White Witch yelled, "No!" as her ice man began to fall. Her plan was failing. Caspian watched as Susan ran towards the ship with another crew member. Caspian glanced at the White Witch. "So, does this deal still involve my wife and child?"

Then the Witch saw the ice start cracking and Susan stop. She smiled again. "Yes it does. I can still make the ice crack beneath her feet."

Edmund saw her. The White Witch. One of his worst fears and enemies. She almost had him killed as well as many others. He started to run at her with a sword, until a ice man came and punched him in the face with an icy fist. Edmund had a huge gash on the side of his face. He touched it lightly and became angry. Edmund started to fight the ice creature.

The Witch turned and saw Edmund. She had the ice man stop fighting Edmund. It stopped and Edmund charged himself towards the Witch. She smiled at the attempt and froze his feet to the ground. She made her way to him. She was inches from his face as she said, "I haven't seen you in a long time traitor. Do you still like Turkish Delight?"

Edmund spit in her face. She became angry as she said, "Well that wasn't very nice. It's too bad Aslan saved you. You were never worth it."

Caspian tried to run up to the White Witch and hit her with a sword. He cut her leg. She turned to Caspian angrily. "You made a bad decision King Caspian."

She snapped her fingers and the ice cracked beneath Susan and William's feet more. They both fell into the freezing-cold water. Susan felt like her lungs and skin were getting pinched by needles. She came up for a breath of air with William right next to her. She took notice that his lips were a blueish-purple. She felt like it was hard to breathe. She knew she going to die by hypothermia.

Caspian yelled, "No!"

The White Witch was smiling at Susan. She then felt a sword go through her cold heart. The person behind her walked in front of her. It was Peter. He said, "This time I'm the one who killed you."

She them screamed bloody-murder. Her whole body turned into shards of ice and dropped onto the deck. When that happened, the ocean melted and so did the snow. The clouds vanished and the sky turned a beautiful blue. Caspian dove into the water and swam to Susan. When he got to her, she was still freezing, but the water was now warm.

Susan moved into his chest shivering. Caspian said William, "Do you think you can make it back to the ship?"

William nodded swimming back to the ship. Caspian looked at Susan. He asked, "Do you think you can do the same?"

Susan started to swim back with Caspian right behind her. They all climbed the ladder up to the deck. Caspian ran into his room and grabbed all the furs he could find. He gave some to Susan and William, who both wrapped themselves eagerly. Before William walked away, Susan said, "Thank you. For saving me."

"No problem, your majesty. I'd like to think your brother, King Peter saved me."

"Susan. Just Susan. I think we're on one name terms now."

William smiled. "Ok, Susan."

He walked away and Susan didn't want to go back into her room alone. So she stayed on the deck. Peter walked up next to her and asked, "Are you cold or something?"

Susan hugged her older brother and said, "I can't believe it. You're the one who killed her this time."

"I know. If it weren't for you almost dying in the ocean distracting her, I don't think I would have killed her."

"It's all over now. But yet, I fear the worst part is still to come."

Peter pulled out of the embrace and walked to the rail of the deck. He sighed and said, "I think you're right."

Lucy saw her older sister and brother and ran up to the two of them She hugged Susan and said, "I'm glad you're all right. I was so worried. I'm sorry for not choosing."

"Lucy stop. Frederick nor my baby died. There is nothing to be sorry for." Susan squeezed her little sister tighter.

Caspian walked up to the two. Lucy saw him and said, "I'm sorry Caspian." She squeezed Caspian into a big hug.

Caspian looked at Peter and Susan in confusion. Peter shrugged his shoulder, and Susan bit her bottom lip. Lucy then added, "I almost had your baby killed."

Caspian squeezed Lucy back. "No, no, Lucy. the White Witch almost had my baby killed. You had nothing to do with anything. She's gone and it's over. No one is majorly hurt."

Lucy let go and Caspian looked down at her. "I better not see you with any tears. You're braver than that." Lucy gave him a quick half-smile before she went to go somewhere else.

Caspian walked over to Susan and took her hands. He said with surprise, "You're hands are freezing. You should change out of those wet clothes into something dry and and lie in bed with all the covers on you."

Peter cut in. "And I'm leaving." He walked away, and Caspian and Susan walked to their room.

Susan started to get changed, and Caspian said, "Do you want me to stay in here with you?"

Susan nodded her head. As she got into a new dress, she shivered. Caspian pulled her into him. She was still shivering as she said, "You're so w..w..warm."

Caspian kissed the top of her head, and walked with her to the bed. They went underneath the covers, as Caspian tried to keep her warm.

Peter got a letter from Louise. He was panicking. He thought the baby was already born. He opened the letter and it read:

Dear Peter,

I'm writing back early. No, the baby isn't born yet, stop your panicking. But I'm so very sorry for the loss of Susan. I cried for a long time. But I know who killed her. Adeline is Rose. She's pretending to be Rose. She killed Susan. I know this because Markell and Rose were her. Rose is still here and pregnant. Markell is coming to find all of you and help. He's captain of that pirate ship. He killed Bilias. Please give my sympathy to Caspian. He must be very depressed going through a time like this. I love and miss you very much. So does the baby.

Love, Louise

Peter looked up from the letter. He was very confused. Louise thought Susan was dead. Peter then knew Susan wasn't dreaming. Peter opened the door to Caspian and Susan's room. He looked at the two of them cuddled up on the bed, wide awake. Caspian got up and asked, "What's wrong?"

Peter handed the letter to Caspian and said, "This."

Caspian read it silently to himself. He looked at Susan, who had wondering eyes. He said, "Markell isn't dead." She smiled slightly.

Peter started to walk out of the room and Caspian asked, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to have a talk with this so called Rose."

Susan yelled, "Wait! Peter I have a plan."

Peter sighed, "What do you have in mind?"
