Longer chapter for you guys! Wrote it in the car on my way to Disney World...so excited :)
Susan sighed, "We need to pretend we still think she's Rose."
Peter got frustrated. He didn't understand, if you knew who was a killer, why not kill it before it kills you. He said, "Why? Susan, I know you're very logical and smart, but this is not your brightest idea."
Susan rolled her eyes, "Peter. We have to break her down. No one goes near her. Also, now that we know her son is dead, we can mention it and see if she breaks. If not she'll get her fear on the island."
"What is that supposed to mean, Susan?"
"It means we give her the punishment she deserves. She tries to destroy us and Narnia. She tried to make one of my worst fears come true. Kill my baby. Now she gets her turn. She gets to see her worst fear on the island. That's plan B."
Peter asked, "What's plan A?"
"I also thought, maybe we can get her to like us. She could be a huge help in Narnia, knowing all that old magic no one knows anymore. She could teach so many new things."
"You mean like reform her?"
Susan nodded her head. Peter sat down on the chair at the desk. Susan got out of the bed and walked to him. She placed a hand on his shoulder. She sighed, "I know it's a lot to take in. I know it was for me."
Peter shook his head. "How do we get her to like us? She wants to kill us. She wants to kill anyone who has a place in line to the throne."
Caspian mumbled, "People will do anything for power these days."
Peter and Susan both looked at Caspian and smirked the same way. It freaked Caspian out a little by how alike they looked. Peter continued, "If she is so called 'reformed' how can we trust she won't kill anyone?"
Susan nodded her head. "I thought of that too. It will be hard but worth it."
Peter stood up still a little frustrated. "Why do you always try to change people, Susan?"
"I don't change them. I bring out the better side in them." She looked at Caspian, and he smiled at her.
Caspian added, "It is true."
Peter looked at his sister and Caspian for the first time in a while. He saw the love between them. He saw the way they looked at one another. They would be inseparable, no matter what goes on between them. It reminded him the way he felt with Louise.
Peter asked, "Can I tell you both something? And what I say or do doesn't leave here."
They both nodded eager for Peter to continue. He said, "I feel like I abandoned Louise. I miss her so much. I should have went with her. I feel like I betrayed her. She's all alone in Narnia."
Susan gave him a respectful-comforting look. "Hey. Pete. You never abandoned Louise. She left herself and had you stay. I know you miss her. I miss her too. But why would you miss her if she's been here this whole time?"
"What?"
Susan placed a hand on his heart. "She's been here the whole time." Susan smiled to herself. "Sometimes I hear her voice in my head."
Peter suppressed a laugh. "Does she tell you how stupid you act?"
"All the time. That's Louise."
Caspian chuckled. "I thought that was you're job already."
Susan turned her attention to him. "Louise does it way more than me. I learned from the best."
Peter added, "Trust me, Caspian. You got off easy with Susan."
Caspian said, "I'll take your word for it."
Susan looked back at Peter. "Are you going to be okay?"
"I'll be fine. You two cheered me up. Also, I guess I'll try to be nicer to Rose. You're right if anything, she would be helpful."
When Peter left the room, Susan looked at Caspian standing next to the door. She asked, "So I bring out the best in you?"
"I'm going to be honest. After you left, everything was okay for a while. It was until the council was pressuring me for a wife. I became sad knowing you wouldn't come back. I knew I would never find a love like you. No one could ever replace you. I started to shut people out, even the kingdom. I found Autumn and she helped but didn't make me better. When you came back, and we were together again, I was better."
Susan smiled lovingly. She saw Caspian do his famous knee wobbling smile. Susan moved her way closer to him. She said, "I'll never know why I go weak at the knees for your smile."
Caspian closed the space between the two of them with a loving kiss. Susan had her hands tangled in his thick dark hair. Caspian moved them to their bed. Susan giggled from landing on the bed. Susan started to unbutton his shirt, and she heard a noise at the door. Susan pushed Caspian off of her when she saw who it was.
Peter was standing at the door in awkward shock. He cleared his throat, and Caspian was the one trying to hide his face. Peter asked, "I was going to ask if it was okay for me to write a letter at the desk. But it seems as if I'm interrupting something."
Susan said, "No not at all. Go ahead. Just if you are, keep the light low. I want to sleep."
Peter shook his head and looked down awkwardly. "No that's okay. I can write the letter tomorrow morning. Keep doing what you were doing."
He walked out of the room and Susan said, "We really need to lock that door." She looked at Caspian, who was still slightly pink from embarrassment. Susan giggled, "Isn't this a change? Caspian embarrassed for once."
"It was your brother. I found it to be very embarrassing."
Susan laughed and said, "So do you think we should listen to Peter? Shall we keep doing what we were doing?" She started to continue unbuttoning Caspian's shirt.
Caspian had love and lust in his eyes as he said, "We shall." He pulled her closer to him and started to kiss her once again. It was an eventful night for Caspian and Susan.
Lucy had a horrible nightmare. Lucy dreamt of Susan asleep in her bed. She was very wrong. Lucy walked closer and Caspian was crying over Susan's body. Lucy put a hand on Caspian's shoulder. He turned around to show blood all over his hands and torso. Susan's stomach was cut open, exploiting everything inside. Caspian yelled, "Go,Lucy! Go! You're the reason she's dead! You didn't tell us! Our baby is gone because of you!"
Lucy had tears in her eyes and she ran to the edge of the ship and cried. She saw Rose walk out of the shadows with a knife. It was already bloody. She came to Lucy and said, "You're next."
Lucy woke up and started to cry. She needed to see Susan. It was light outside, and Lucy ran outside. She saw crew members talking to one another. She ran up to a group and asked, "Have you seen Queen Susan at all?"
"No, your majesty. If we see her we'll let you know."
Lucy then saw Peter steering the ship with Caspian and Edmund talking to him. Lucy ran up to meet them with tears still in her eyes. She asked urgently, "Have any of you seen Susan?"
Peter became worried, "What? Why?"
"Just answer the question. Please."
Caspian butted in saying, "She's still in bed asleep. Why are you crying?"
Lucy ran down the stairs and quickly opened the door to Susan's room. Susan's eyes flew open, and she realized she was naked underneath the sheets. Lucy saw Susan okay and jumped into Susan's arms. She cried, "Thank Aslan, you're okay."
Susan said, "Of course I'm okay. Why would you think otherwise?" Susan saw Caspian run into the room. She mouthed to him. "Close the door."
Caspian left the room and closed the door. Lucy wiped her eyes and said, "I had a horrible dream where you…you were."
Susan cut her off saying, "I don't want to know. All that matters is that everyone's safe."
Lucy nodded and then actually looked at her sister. She asked, "Susan, why are you naked?"
Susan darted her eyes back and forth. "Um….It's better for the baby to grow, if I sleep naked. I make Caspian sleep on the floor."
Lucy giggled, "I'm not a little girl anymore, Susan. I know things. I'll get your robe."
Susan sat up clutching the sheets to her. "Who told you about this stuff?"
"I was reading an old Narnia book on marriage, and what you had to do to be officially married. You had to consummate it. I learned all about it. It was before your wedding."
Susan nodded. "Well I guess you're not a little girl anymore."
"It took Peter a long time to realize it too. Why does everyone still think I'm a little girl?"
"It's because you're the youngest sibling. If you grow up, we all have to face the fact we have to as well. It's hard for Peter and I to see that you're growing, being your oldest siblings."
Lucy gave Susan her robe and said, "I guess you're right. I'm going to head out."
Before Lucy could leave, Susan called her, "Lucy! If you ever have that kind of dream again. Just remember that it's just a dream. It's not real."
Lucy smirked and walked out of the room. Susan put the robe on the side of the bed and got dressed. She wore a dress that Louise left on the ship. It fit over her pregnant belly perfectly. She walked out of the room, and Caspian came to side immediately. He asked worriedly, "Is everything okay? Why was Lucy crying? Why did she need to see you?"
Susan grabbed his hand to calm him down. "Everything is fine. Lucy just had a bad dream."
Caspian had a look of relief. "She really had me worried. Anyway I think you need to see this."
Caspian clutched the hand holding his and tugged eagerly. Susan had to jog to keep up with him. She was glad to see Caspian excited about something. There were maps near the steering wheel sprawled out everywhere. Susan said, "So….What is it?"
Caspian pointed to spot on one of the maps that was absolutely blue. She said, "Um…Caspian, I'm sorry for spoiling the moment, but that's just water."
Caspian nodded, "The Island has never been recorded and based on legends and where we've been. I believe the island is here." He pointed to the spot once again.
"Are you sure?"
"I haven't been more sure about anything in my life."
Susan pursed her lips. "Alright, let's head that direction then. I'm glad you're excited."
Caspian kissed the tip of her nose and said, "After this, you are getting a long break and lots of rest at the castle."
"I think I've deserved it. I hope Louise is doing all right."
Peter walked up behind the two and asked, "What about Louise?"
Susan and Caspian turned to face Peter at the same time. Susan said, "Nothing. Did you write the letter?"
"Not yet I was waiting for you to wake up. I'm really sorry about last night."
Caspian turned pink and Susan held up her hand to gesture to stop. "It's fine, Peter. I would think of it as you getting me back. Remember when I walked in on you and Louise one time?"
Peter mumbled, "Don't remind me."
Susan giggled and asked Peter, "So, did you see what Caspian did?"
Peter nodded. "I helped, actually. We're 100 percent sure it's there. We feel like the island is pulling us there."
Lucy was standing by the railing of the ship. Lucy saw Rose slightly limp towards her. Rose whispered, "If you say anything, as you know, I will kill everyone you love. The scared look on your face right now doesn't look so convincing."
Lucy pulled on the fakest smile. Susan saw Lucy's fake smile, and Rose talking to her. She started to make her way down the stairs and went to save her sister. Susan walked up to the two of them and asked, "So what are you two talking about."
Rose said, "I was telling Lucy about how beautiful today was."
Susan nodded and said, "I have some news actually. Captain Bilias is dead. Someone killed him."
Rose had a look of shock and said, "You don't know how relieved I am. You don't understand the horrible things that man did to me before." That day Rose cried of relief, Adeline cried out of sadness.
Susan hugged Rose and said, "It's okay. Everything is done and over."
Rose asked, "Why are you being so nice to me? I blamed you and my husband for loving one another."
Susan smiled slightly, "Everyone is forgiven in the end. Why not forgive now?"
Rose looked like she was thinking for a moment and said, "I'm sorry I have to go."
When Rose was out of sight, Susan thought she had achieved something. She felt like she was getting to Adeline in some way.
Lucy noticed and asked, "What's that face for?"
"Nothing." She changed the subject. "What were you two really talking about?"
Lucy looked anywhere but at her sister's face. "Like Rose said, how beautiful today is. I just felt uncomfortable around her. It seems like everyone doesn't trust her for some reason."
Frederick came up to them and asked, "What are the two sisters talking about today?"
Lucy smiled and said, "Good morning, Frederick."
Susan looked at the two of them and smiled all cute like. She said, "I'm going to leave the two of you alone."
Frederick watched Susan walk away and asked, "What was that about?"
"She thinks we're adorable. She can be really weird sometimes."
Frederick chuckled. "Now I know where you get that from."
Lucy shoved him, which made him fall back. He grabbed Lucy's hand, and Lucy fell on top of him. They looked into each other's eyes. Peter stood over them and cleared his throat. "You know, Frederick. You really are starting to push the limits. I thought Susan and Caspian were bad."
Frederick stood up automatically. "Sorry….uh…King Peter. I didn't mean…I was."
Lucy jumped in, "We were just being a couple. Sorry you're not happy about that Pete."
She grabbed Frederick's hand and walked him away from Peter.
Peter stood there as Caspian saw everything. He yelled so Peter could here. "You know, you're really intimidating. I feel bad for Frederick. Not so long ago I was in his shoes."
Peter nodded his head and walked back to where Caspian was. "He should be intimidated. If a guy can get past my requirements. It means he's good for one of my sisters. I wasn't too sure at first for you Caspian."
"What did I ever do?"
Peter sighed in anguish. "You hurt her. You have no idea."
Susan was sitting down on the ground looking at the maps. She added, "But it all worked out in the end Peter."
Peter said, "But you still hurt her. Tell him Susan."
Susan didn't lose focus from the maps. "I'd rather not, it's over Peter. I don't want to bring back those memories." She became angry "Anyway,Peter when I was hurt, you didn't help me at all. You just invited your so-called friends over for me to be more social. But do you know what they would do? They would hit on me. You're one friend was so desperate to have me, he tried to beat me that one time. You never helped Peter!"
Peter grew angry. "If it wasn't for Caspian…."
"Don't you dare drag him into this. He didn't mean to hurt me. You don't choose the people you love. It just happens."
Caspian stood between the two of them and said, "You two need to calm down. Intervention, Now."
They both followed Caspian into his room. Caspian locked the door and said, "I've never seen the two of you fight like this. Just forgive each other, please. I don't want anymore fighting."
Susan looked at Peter and her face softened. She said, "I'm sorry. You did help, but some things didn't. I'm glad you tried and didn't give up on me."
"I'm sorry for bringing those memories back and blaming Caspian."
Peter looked at Caspian one last time before leaving the room. Susan sat on the bed and Caspian sat next her he asked hurt, "Why didn't you tell me about any of this? I know you told me about being hurt, but not being hurt that much."
Susan was sad by the hurt tone in his voice. She sighed and said, "I didn't want you to know because, no one else really knew but Peter. I also didn't want you to feel guilty while you were already engaged."
"Susan, we need to start telling each other things. I feel guilty right now. I also want to know, what did those boys do to you?"
Susan looked away from him, and he put a thumb under her chin to make their eyes clash. She said, "They would touch me and call me horrid names like I was their property. One of them was forceful to me, Peter helped stop that though."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up old memories."
"No, you're right. We need to start telling each other things. I'm glad someone actually knows the truth. Please don't tell anyone."
Caspian said, "Even married couples have their secrets."
Susan smirked slightly. She gave Caspian a quick peck, and when she pulled away, she put her head against his. She whispered from the proximity, "I'm going to check on Ed. I haven't seen him really since the White Witch. Seeing you're mortal enemy does take an emotional toll on people. Even people that are as strong-willed as Edmund."
Before she could walk away Caspian said back, "Talking about you're horrible past takes an emotional toll on someone. Are you going to be okay?" Susan nodded and smiled sadly and then walked out. Caspian was so tired, he fell asleep on the bed.
Susan walked out to see Peter steering the ship and Edmund right at his side. Susan went to Edmund and asked, "Hey, are you okay? Seeing the White Witch must have reopened some old wounds."
"Just a little bit. But I'm fine, thanks for checking up on me."
Susan asked, "Do you know how close we are to the island?"
Peter said, "Maybe in about two days' time. To save up energy, no one's going to steer the ship tonight, we're going to put it in anchor."
Susan looked over the sea and saw the sky orange and purple. The sun was setting behind the ocean, and it would soon be nightfall.
Peter said, "I think it's time to lower the anchor anyway."
Susan followed Peter and Edmund. The three helped move the anchor overboard. Peter stretched and yawned. He said, "I'm going to head to bed."
He walked away, which only left Susan and Edmund. Susan sighed, "I really am sorry I haven't been there for you much."
"Susan, please don't. I know you've always been there for me. I've been choosing to be more by myself. It's no one's fault but Adeline's for the curse. But I have been nicer to her, like you've wanted."
Susan pulled him in for a hug. She whispered, "Just remember that I'm always here, okay?"
"I'll remember. I promise."
Susan walked back into her room to see Caspian, tied up at the desk. He was gagged as well. Susan's first instinct was to find her bow and arrows or some type of sword. She saw Caspian's sword on the ground. She heard Caspian yelling something behind the gag, but she couldn't understand what he was saying. She picked it up quickly.
She heard the door close behind her and two men in back masks stood there. She held the sword out in front of her. She heard a familiar voice say, "Oh, come on, Susan. I thought we were on first name terms. We don't want to ruin that do we?"
He pulled off his mask to reveal the face of William. Her jaw almost dropped, but she gripped the sword tighter and asked angrily, "What are you doing?"
"I'm part of a revolt group. We're called the freemen. We disregard the King and want to destroy him. I'm the leader as of now. Seems like we're going to kill more than just King Caspian today."
Susan stood in front of Caspian and held the sword out in front of her and said, "You're not killing anyone today. Not while I'm around."
The other man pulled off his mask to reveal the face of Kale. Susan almost gasped. The wonderful fighter from the war, a part of this group? By this time Caspian was trying to get out of the tight ropes. William pulled out his sword and went for Susan's throat. She blocked it with her sword. Kale then joined in and Susan was fighting two men at once. Susan kicked William in the groin, and he groaned in agony and backed up.
Susan was fighting Kale now, she remembered he was one of the best fighters in the army. She wouldn't last long. When William got back, Kale hit her sword out of her hand. William grabbed Susan's long dark hair and pulled her back. He put a knife at her throat and whispered in her ear, "I'll make you watch. It's the least we can do. I think I'll keep you afterwards, so beautiful. I can raise the little princess as my own."
Susan bit his hand causing him to yell in pain. Susan ran to get the sword that dropped and cut the ropes on Caspian's hands. Right after that, William tackled Susan to the ground, which made her sword fall out of her hand. He pressed his knife into the wound on her arm. She cried in pain. Caspian got out of the ropes and pulled William off of her. Susan had tears biting the back of her eyes, from the aching in her arm. Blood was trickling down her arm. Caspian picked up his sword and fought William. Kale came from behind Caspian and went for right above the shoulders. Susan yelled, "Caspian look out!"
He ducked right in time for the sword to go over his head. Caspian was fighting two men at once doing a lot better than Susan. Caspian cut William's leg, which made him fall back. Susan found her bow and arrows. She placed an arrow in the bow and locked her aim right in front of William's face. Caspian knocked Kale out with the handle of his sword. William rolled his eyes. "I bet you don't even have the courage to kill me."
Susan pulled back harder, Caspian was standing back. William said, "Do it Queen Susan the Gentle. Kill me."
Susan shot her arrow and it hit William in the arm, the same arm and place he reopened Susan's wound. She said behind gritted teeth, "I will not kill you, not yet."
Suddenly, Edmund came with other crew members. He said, "I heard yelling and decided to come check it out. I guess I just missed all the action."
The other crew members took Kale and William. William looked at Caspian and Susan one last time and said, "This isn't over. Not yet."
Susan smirked at him. "It's over for you."
Oh Snap... I don't think anyone saw that coming. I have a question what gender do you guys think Markell/Rose's, Susan/Caspian's, and Louise/Peter's babies are? Also if you guys leave baby names I may take them into consideration. The only name I know so far is Susan/Caspian's baby. Please Review, Follow, and/or Favorite! This story is almost over by the way :(...don't be sad because I'm writing a third one. The third one will be my last one though.
