Peter shot a web at one of them, he launched in the air, and his foot hit the robot.
Ben got into the fight as well and used his staff on one of them.
Everyone else stood away and watched them fight. Not that Peter would have wanted them to help. He doesn't know where these robots came from for this "Nerraw" to even have access to it.
Ben swung the stuff, but then Peter jumped onto it and then pushed off of it, slamming into the robot. Peter managed to punch it, the robot went flying, then slammed into the wall and there was a giant explosion.
Everyone gasped at what happened.
If nothing else proved it before, this proved how powerful Peter was to everyone. Ben was a little amazed at it, he found himself staring at Peter.
"Ben watch out!" Darius yelled out.
Peter quickly turned his head behind him and saw a robot was about to shock Ben. Peter took no time to make his way over, he leaped off the ground, zoomed past Ben, and punched the robot.
Thankfully this was the last one.
Ben was a little shocked because he had no idea one was trying to sneak up on him.
"Uhh... Thank you..." Ben said.
"No problem," Peter said to him.
Peter looked at his friends, who looked all surprised. As they should be. If this thing was like Dark-Blade and more powerful than it, they had a lot to fear. But it wasn't just, that was the problem. Peter looked down at "Miles" who was on the floor. At the moment, he was kind of waking up, he tried to pull on something, but he pulling on Darius. "O-Oh..." Darius said. But then Miles accidentally dragged Darius down to the ground and they both fell over. "AHH!" Darius yelled.
"Oof!" Miles grunted as Miles dropped on him.
Miles blinked, opened his eyes, and looked up at Darius. They both stayed like that for a few seconds... staring at each other. Mile's face got red a little. "Um... Who are you?"
"Uh... I'm... Darius..." Darius said.
Darius looked around at everyone who was in the room, then he saw Peter.
Miles's eyes widen, then he shot up, accidentally throwing Darius off of him. "OW!" Darius said.
"S-Sorry!" Miles said and helped him up. Now that both of them were standing, Miles turned his head back to Peter.
"P-Peter? You're...a Peter right?"
Peter blinked. "You know about the Spider-Verse too?"
"Of course I do! I think most of us Spider-people know about it," Miles said. "But you're not a Peter I know... you look-" Miles looked at the other people who were there. "Like these guys..."
"And you don't look like the Miles I know," Peter said.
Miles gasped. "Wait you really know another Miles?"
Peter nodded. "Yes! But he has a more rounder head than you and shorter hair... Your hair looks better than his, to be honest, don't... tell him I said that,"
Miles chuckled. "Well, thanks for the compliment..."
Sammy looked at Miles, then back to Peter, then back to her friends. "Anyone... is wondering why Miles is moving like that?" She asked.
Miles blinked. "Huh? What do you mean?" He turned around to face them.
"Yeah, now that I'm looking at you, you're moving like when my video games start to lose frames..." Darius said.
Kenji snorted. "Dude's trapped in the lag dimension,"
Miles just tilted his head confused.
Brooklyn just rolled her eyes, "Guy, it's probably none of that..." She said. But then she giggled. "He looks like one of those stop-motion movies,"
"Stop motion?! I am not stop motion! ... Uh, What's stop motion?" Miles asked, looking confused.
"Never mind that," Peter said. "We have to get you home..." He walked up to the collider.
"Huh? But I thought you said you didn't remember the name of his dimension?" Yaz asked.
Peter sighed. "I don't,"
"I don't think we should just keep hitting random things, what if one dimension turns out to be really dangerous and we end up putting ours in danger?" Kenji asked folding his arm.
"This is probably the most sensible thing Kenji has ever said, he's right," Brooklyn said.
"Hey!" Kenji snapped. Brooklyn giggled and stuck her tongue out at him.
Peter didn't know what to do. But then he heard a loud sound coming from up above.
"What's that sound?" Peter asked.
"Probably the dinosaurs..." Sammy said.
"Or what if it's... that dark creature...?"
Peter looked up. In the room, the ceiling was shaking. It probably was the dinosaurs. "Nah, I think it's just those prehistoric animals,"
At that moment, Mile's stomach growled. He rubbed his stomach.
"Aw, are you hungry?" Sammy asked.
Peter sighed. "There isn't much food here Miles, these other kids are trapped just like us. They're trapped on this island with dinosaurs..."
Miles gasped. "W-What?!" He gasped. "Dinosaurs?! I-I.. thought you were joking when you said it could have been dinosaurs above us!"
"Well, we are in the lab, there could be some food lying around. Even if it's just a bag of chips," Kenji said.
"But what if we get caught? Wu isn't to be trusted," Darius said.
"That's fine! Peter can web him up!"
So they managed to sneak around the entire lab until they found a staff room. No one caught them thankfully. There was a fridge with different food and drinks.
No one was close, Peter or Miles didn't feel their spider senses go off. "Oh mannn," Kenji said. "Real foooddd," He said. He was so glad to not eat berries for once. "I was getting really sick of the berries every time..."
"Yeah, me too," Sammy said.
Ben rolled his eyes. "Well, it kept us alive, hasn't it!" He snapped at them,
Miles was across the table and watched them, looking a little disturbed. "You all... are really stranded?" Miles asked.
"Yeah, we are,"
Miles looked around. "But... how? You said you were eating only berries? But this place has food,"
"This part isn't exactly accessible for us, where technically not supposed to be here at all," Brooklyn said.
"So... what is this place even?" Miles asked.
"Technically a zoo for dinosaurs. They brought them back by using cloning technology and made a sanctuary for them. Crap happened, and the dinosaurs got loose and killed and hurt a lot of people. People got evacuated, but not all of us were lucky to leave," Kenji told him.
Mile's eyes were wide a little. "A-And... Peter what about you? You're trapped here with them? And they seem to know you're Spider-Man... why did you reveal your identity to them?"
"Miles, I'm not from here. I'm from a different dimension. I got sent here by accident. Apparently, there is no Spider-Man at all here. Or Spider-Woman," Peter said. Then he looked up at his friends. "Right? There are no superheroes in your world?"
Darius shook his head. "None that I know off, no,"
"No, that would have been all over the news," Ben said, "And trust me, I used to watch the news a lot!"
"I don't disbelieve you," said Kenji to Ben.
"If there was a superhero here, they would have come to save us by now," Sammy said.
They finished eating. "I'm going to go find some more berries for later, you guys go on ahead to the camp," Ben said.
They all nodded.
Peter looked at them. They had Miles in case of anything, Ben had no one.
"You guys go on ahead, I'll go with Ben," He whispered to them.
"You sure?" Darius asked. "Ok, sure!"
"What is with you with Ben? Why do you always want to be near him when you get the chance?" Kenji asked.
But by then, Peter was already gone.
"Why does he always want to hang out with someone who clearly doesn't like him?" Kenji asked.
"Ehh, I don't think Ben actually doesn't like him. He just doesn't trust many people," Darius said. "Ben just needs some time to get used to him, and I think that's what Peter is trying to do,"
Peter managed to meet up with Ben, as he was trying to find some berries. "Bumpy? Where are you, girl?" He called out, whistling for his dinosaur.
"Hey, Ben!" Peter called out. Ben turned around and saw him. "Oh... what do you want?" He asked, his voice sounding annoyed to see him.
"I wanted to keep you company,"
"Well, I like to be alone..." Ben said. Then continued to walk forward. But Peter followed him. "But what if you need my help?"
Ben grunted, "I've been here for nearly a year, and didn't need help from a freak with powers alright! I can handle myself!"
Peter blinked at Ben. He felt a little hurt from that.
Ben realized what he said, and turned around to Peter. "Sorry... didn't mean it like that at all,"
"Yeah... Ok..." Peter said. "No! I'm being serious... I didn't mean it... ugh, fine you wanna stick around that bad, you can. At least make yourself useful and pick some berries with me. Only pick those over there. The rest are poisonous," Ben pointed to a berry patch on a bush behind them.
Peter picked some of the berries Ben needed. He still felt a little hurt at what Ben said. His villains always call him names and he just always sucks it up and clobbers them all. Why did it feel different when Ben said this? Villains called him worse.
He tried to do some small talk. "Um... So uh... what do you normally do? When you were not on this island I mean,"
"Well..." Ben said. Then he chuckled. "It... I think I was a whole different person 6 months ago,"
"Really? In what way?"
"I was always paranoid about everything. Scared of everything... I always felt like people looked down on me. But staying on this Island, it changed me you know? I think I became stronger from it,"
Peter looked up at him as he picked the berries from the bush. "Wow, you have a narrative similar to an origin story of a superhero,"
He heard Ben chuckle at that. "Really?" He asked.
Peter smiled. "Yeah," He said. "You were weak, but then you came out stronger."
Ben slightly smiled after Peter said that. "Y-Yeah... I guess you're right."
Ben continued to pick some berries. "Hey..." Ben started. "I'm really sorry that I called you a freak... I... Don't really know why I said that. That wasn't very cool of me at all," He looked over at Peter, who was picking some of the berries, and eating some. "Huh? Oh... it's ok,"
"A-Are you sure? You looked really hurt from it... I want to cheer you up... But, I don't really know what to do,"
Peter just softly smiled. "Well... We're hanging out... Becoming friends with you is all I ask," he said.
Ben looked at him. "Friends?" Then, he made a slight chuckle, as he picked some more berries and placed them in a basket. "Why me out of the entire group?"
"U-Uh..." Peter looked away for a second. His face went red a little, but it seemed that Ben didn't notice. "Um, nothing!" He said. "I just... um, well, I felt like I clicked with you or something, I don't know."
Ben placed down the basket and looked at Peter. "You think... we clicked? Like... you mean... you..."
Peter felt his face heating up.
"-You think we can become close friends? Is that what you mean?" Ben asked.
Peter nodded quickly. "Y-Yeah! That's- That's what I meant,"
Ben just smiled. "Ok, well-," He picked the basket off of the floor. "Let's get back to the others," he said. "They're waiting for their berries."
As Ben and Peter turned around, an Ankylosaurus came running around the trees. "W-Woah!" Peter said as his spider senses went off.
"Bumpy! There you are, girl!" Ben smiled, as he sat down his basket. Bumpy came up to him and pushed her head into Ben. "Oof! Bumpy, careful!" Ben chuckled, as he hugged the dinosaur. "I really named you Bumpy for a reason, eh Bumpercar?" He giggled.
Peter just stood and watched. "Wow, you really did befriend a dinosaur!" He was amazed at how much affection Bumpy was showing Ben. Ben smiled. "Want to pet her?" He asked. Peter was surprised that Ben was going to let him do that, but he defiantly could not pass up the opportunity to touch an actual dinosaur without it trying to slaughter him.
"Alright, just walk to her slowly, and rub her head," Ben said.
Peter did so. He couldn't believe he was doing this. The dinosaur was very sweet, even to him. "W-Wow... this is amazing,"
"If it wasn't for Bumpy, and even Darius, I would never have seen how amazing Dinosaurs really are," Ben said. "Come on, let's go," He said. "Come on Bumpy!"
And they both walked back to the others.
