Chapter Nine
Out of the students from the magical world, Luna fit in at the school really well. Her eccentric accessories, her obsession with nonexistent creatures, her odd behaviour by normal standards just helped her to fit in. With her imagination, she be able to add creatures to duel monsters if she wished. Draco kept to the fringes, not really interacting with anyone much. Sticking to the two magical students he formally disliked and Ryou. Neville was like a fish out of water. He tried so hard, but just did not fit in at all. He couldn't duel and didn't relate well with the other students and yet he seemed to be enjoying himself. Even though Neville was struggling so much, he helped the younger students out a lot. He was a big help in that regard, with younger students not constantly having to go to the teachers when they were home sick or bullied. With so few students bullying didn't happen much, but it still happened.
He didn't want the English students to feel left out, he wanted to incorporate something into the school for them. The three English students and Ryou greeted him as he sat down at the table.
"Is there anything from your old school, that you'd like to see here?" Seto asked the magical students get straight to the point about why he'd approached them in the first place.
"Quidditch." Draco replied. "Or at the very least somewhere to fly my broom."
"I don't like flying." Neville told them.
"I don't like flying on a broom." Ryou agreed. "I'd happily fly in a plane or helicopter any day of the week."
Draco and Neville both looked horrified at the idea of flying in a 'muggle' contraption.
"I used to enjoy flying over the forbidden forest during the night, and over the Black lake." Luna agreed with Draco about wanting a place to fly.
"Does Mr Lupin or Mr Weasley know anything about Quidditch?"
"Percy never played Quidditch, but all his brothers and sister played on the school team. He known's the rules of the game, even if he has never played. He used to lecture his brothers in the dorm about Quidditch rules." Neville replied. "My gran said that Professor Lupin never played but was the commentator during matches when he was a student."
"Kaiba, if it's not too much to ask. I'd like somewhere to grow magical plants." Neville asked nervously. He looked embarrassed to even be making the request in the first place.
The magical plants interested him, and it was a request that he was happy to fulfil. The ancient spirit was also interested in modern magical plants. He was looking forward to when he could sit at home in his lab and experiment with all the new plants, animals and other ingredients considered normal in the magical world. His brother would be proud of how accepting he'd become of magic that he now wanted to experiment.

He had all the teachers that knew about magic in a staff meeting. Which included the likes of Mai who didn't have a drop of magic. In fact only two teachers were missing from the staff meeting. He'd been looking into ways he could inform them of magic legally, but so far he couldn't find anywhere that would allow him to inform them himself. The rules for the magical world about who could know about magic out of non-magical people were rather frustrating and different from country to country.
"A couple of the magical students have made it known to me that they wish for a place to fly. I'd like your opinion on this matter, how safe flying is?" The teachers knew whom he was talking about considering how few students who possessed magic where attending.
"Flying can be very safe with the right charms on the brooms and the area chosen for flying." Percy replied.
"I never understood why Hogwarts didn't place more safety charms on the pitch and students brooms. As well as a supervising teacher at all times." Lupin told them.
"They should've forbid students from using their own brooms. The school brooms should've also been kept more up to date." Percy stated.
The teachers discussed what they would purchase for school brooms, the best location on the island, charms to use. In the end, they chose one of the alcoves near the beach.
"I believe the Kiki DS sounds like the safest broom in, it's not overly expensive, well made. They also come from Japan."
"Someone's a Studio Gibili fan." Mai laughed.
Some of the teachers looked at her blankly.
"A movie studio. One of their movies is called Kiki's Delivery Service. About a young witch. Some of the other brooms by the company also have Studio Gibili related names. For example the Nekobus broom for the whole family, Möwe, Calcifer HMC."
"I wouldn't be surprised if Studio Gibili owns the broom company." Seto replied, amused at the titles. His brother loved Studio Gibili movies and he didn't mind them himself. Grave of Fireflies he found the easiest to relate to and his personal favourite.

Within a few days the spells had been completed, the brooms ordered and delivered. Additional safety charms placed. The first day the broom pitch was open every magical student and non-magical student who knew about magic was down at the pitch. Either flying or watching the magical students fly. It made the rest of the school very empty. When the school was larger it wouldn't be as much of a problem, but with the number of students the school currently had it was obvious to the students not in the know that something was going on and they felt excluded as a result. It was something that needed to be worked on.
