This is the last chapter! I know sad times :(, but my next story will come out soon! It will be called Betrayal. So enjoy the last chapter of Treasure!

Three Months Later

Susan felt horrible back aches, she was due in a month. Even though she was so far into her pregnancy, she was scared. She was scared her child would die somehow, like Markell and Rose's baby. Rose had a miscarriage two months earlier. They sent a devastating letter to Narnia, which broke the hearts of most of the monarchs.

Caspian was giving Susan a back massage on their bed that morning. She never felt back pains this bad in her life. Caspian asked sympathetically, "Are you feeling any better?"

"A little. But it's all proof that our baby is still growing and living inside me."

Caspian sighed, "Susan. If you're still worried, there's nothing to worry about. We have one month to go. There's no sign of losing this baby now."

Susan said panicky, "I could have a still birth, that can still be possible."

He stopped massaging her to look at her in the eyes. "I think you're worrying too much. All this stress and worry is what's making your back hurt so much."

Then there was a knock at the door. Caspian got up and walked over to open it. Edmund was standing at the door panicked. "Caspian, you need to come quick. There's something you need to see."

Caspian looked at Susan, she was looking at the ground thinking about what Caspian said. He looked back at Edmund and said, "I'll be right out." He turned his attention back to Susan. "I'm needed somewhere, are you going to be okay?"

Susan nodded and Caspian ran out of the room following Edmund. They made their way to the front gate of the castle. There a man on a horse was waiting to get inside. The gate opened and the horse trotted inside. The man had a pained look on his face and got off of his horse. He handed Caspian a note. Caspian read it silently to himself. It read:

Dear King Caspian X,

I've finally gotten home with my friend Kale and new love, Marianna. It's too bad you didn't snatch her up when she loved you. Now she's one of us and hates you. It's a shame you don't know where we are, because we know where you are. You kept us as a hostage, so we might get back at you for that. We just wanted to let you know my group isn't the only one. There's two other free men groups. There's one in Calormen and one in Archenland. P.S. Between you and me, if I had a choice between Marianna and Queen Susan, I'd go with the choice you did.

The leader of the Free Men group Narnia,

William

Caspian looked up at the man standing in front of him. He asked, "Where did you get this?"

"Some man in a black cloak handed it to me and told me to give it to King Caspian X or he would burn my town to the ground."

Caspian handed the letter to Edmund forcefully. He looked back at the man and asked sympathetically, "What is your name and where are you from?"

"My name is Tyrell your majesty and I'm from Edina the small country town in Narnia."

"Well my friend, Tyrell. So it doesn't seem your trip all the way from Edina was a waste, I'll send you back home in a carriage for safety and some gold. Would twenty gold pieces be alright with you?"

The man fell to his knees and said ever so gratefully, "Oh thank you your majesty. Twenty gold pieces would help my family and I through some troubled times. Thank you, Thank you!"

Caspian smiled lightly, "You are very welcome my friend. I'll be back with your gold pieces."

When Caspian left the room, Louise entered with the three month old bouncing baby boy. Susan saw the baby boy smile at her, and she couldn't help but smile back. Louise sat on the bed next to Susan and asked, "How are you holding up?"

"Not great. Caspian's right I'm worrying way too much. Do I look as bad as I feel?"

Louise shook her head. "No, you look gorgeous just like you always do. But you do look like you're in pain."

"It's because I am in pain. My back is killing me. It feels like a fat man is sitting on my spine."

Louise stood up and Princeton smiled again when she did so. Louise said sternly, "We're getting you out of this castle. You need to relax."

"Where to?"

Louise held out her free hand to help Susan off the bed. "We're just going to relax on the beach."

Susan took Louise's hand and stood up. They walked out and through the castle and bumped in Lucy. Frederick had left with Rose and Markell, just as he said. The only thing Frederick lied about was seeing Lucy two to three times a month. He hadn't come back to Narnia since he left.

Lucy asked, "Where are you three going?" She didn't let their separation keep her upset. At least they could write to one another.

Louise answered, "We were just heading down to the beach. Susan needs a time to relax."

Lucy decided to go with them. They headed to the beach and walked past the huge doors to the castle. They heard someone say loudly and gratefully, "Thank you, thank you!"

Then Caspian came inside with anguish placed on his facial features. Susan stood in front of him with her arms crossed. "What is going on, Caspian?"

"Everything is fine. I'm just helping a fellow Narnian out. Go enjoy yourself with Louise and Lucy." He knew Susan had so much going on her mind. He didn't want Susan to add another thing to her worry list.

Susan stood her ground in front of Caspian. She knew he was lying. "How is it that I can always tell when you're lying?"

Louise tapped Susan's shoulder lightly. "Susan. Caspian said everything is fine. Let's just go. I'm sure Caspian has it covered."

Susan looked at Caspian before walking away. Caspian mouthed "Thank you." To Louise, and she winked in return.

They finally got to the beach, and Susan breathed in the salty air. She sat on the sandy beach and closed her eyes. She said, "This does make me feel better. It reminds me of the ship."

Lucy stood at the edge of the ocean water. The waves would wash up on the shore, letting the water lick at her toes. She looked out to the sea and thought of Frederick. She missed him terribly.

Susan saw the sad look on her sister's face. She got up off the ground and waddled over to where Lucy was. (Susan was very big at this point, she looked like she was carrying more than one.) Susan put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey. What's going on? Is it Frederick?"

That's when Lucy lost it. She threw her arms around Susan and started to cry. Susan almost fell back, she didn't have the greatest balance at the moment. Lucy whimpered out the words, "He broke his promise. I know it's hard travels to come here from Archenland, but he promised me. I feel so selfish right now, Susan."

Susan said comfortingly, "I know it's tough on you Lucy. You both are in a serious committed relationship, and you both love each other. But you need to know that Frederick thinks about you all the time too. He's probably having a really tough time in Archenland, so he can't come back right now. You know he'll visit sometime."

"I know. I just want him to come back now."

Susan giggled. "You're about as stubborn as me. Just know he'll come back in time."

Lucy pulled away and wiped her tears away. "I think I'm going to head back to the castle and write him."

She leisurely walked away, and Louise and Princeton joined Susan near the water. A wave came crashing down and Princeton giggled. Susan smiled at him. "He's a happy baby, isn't he?"

Louise smiled at him too. "Yes very. The only time he cries is in the middle of the night if he's hungry or needs his diaper changed. It actually scares Peter. He always says, shouldn't he be crying all the time? But I'm thankful for it. He loves being read to by Peter. I think Princeton secretly likes his voice." She looked at Princeton and said with a baby voice, "Isn't that right? You love daddy's voice. Yes you do."

Princeton giggled once more and touched Louise's face. It looked as if he was trying to get a sense of her facial features. Both Louise and Susan smiled. They stood by the ocean a while longer playing with Princeton and talking to one another.

Caspian gave Tyrell his gold pieces, and he left in a carriage just as Caspian proposed. Peter and Edmund both saw Caspian's distraught look upon his face. Edmund walked up to him and said gently, "I read the letter, as did Peter."

Peter shook his head. "I am very angry, Caspian. It turns out we had many people betray us on that ship. You don't understand, betrayal is my number one worst thing you can do to me."

Caspian let out a deep breath, "We need to warn Markell and King Pableo about their own Free Men groups."

Peter said angrily, "I think we need to find their hideout and attack them."

Caspian shook his head. "You're not thinking logically Peter. Their just a group, unless they do something that threatens Narnia, then we attack."

"Fine. But if they do threaten our Kingdom. There is no stopping me. I don't want any more harm to come to my family."

Susan, Louise, and Princeton stayed at the beach until sunset. It was beautiful watching the colors in the sky change magically. Princeton seemed hypnotized by it. When it was almost dark out, Louise said, "Let's head back to the castle. We don't want to walk through the forest when it's completely dark out."

They started to head back. There were many plant obstacles in the forest on their way getting back to the castle. Louise saw the most beautiful white orchids growing in the forest. "Look, Susan aren't they beautiful?"
Susan drew her attention to the beautiful flower, but wasn't watching where she was going. She tripped over a root sticking out of the ground falling on her stomach. Susan felt a strong pain rip through her body. Susan then yelled, "Louise!" Louise was at her side immediately.

Susan said with tears in her eyes from the pain going through her body, "I think my water just broke. I can't move. It hurts too much."

Louise looked around, but all there was, was forest. Princeton started to cry. Susan groaned in pain as well. Louise said, "I'll be right back. I'm going to get help."

Susan said in pain, "Don't leave me alone."

"I'll only be a few minutes I promise." Louise ran through the forest to get back to the castle. She got back, and Princeton was still crying uncontrollably. Louise ran into Peter, he could hear Princeton's cry from the echoing halls. He asked, "Why are you out of breath? Why is Princeton crying? Where's Susan?"

Louise held up a hand and said breathlessly, "Get. Caspian. Now!"

Peter ran throughout the castle and found Caspian walking out of the dining hall. Peter said, "I think Susan's in trouble."

When they got back to Louise, she finally caught her breath. "Susan's in labor. She's in the forest, maybe less than a mile out. She can't move, she fell."

Caspian heard the last words from Louise, and they panicked him. Caspian ran out of the halls and out the gate. Caspian ran the fastest he could to get to his wife. Peter said to Louise reassuringly, "Stay here with Princeton. Everything will be okay."

Louise ran to the professor's room and knocked on his door. He appeared to be working on something and Louise said, "Susan's in labor. It might be bad."

The professors eyes bulged, "She's not due for another month. What happened?"

"She fell on her stomach and he water broke."

"You're right Queen Louise, this might be bad."

When Louise left Susan, Susan was lying on the ground in pain. She would shriek in pain every so often. Susan looked down and saw blood. Her worst nightmares were coming true. She started to cry. She didn't want to lose her baby. She knew this baby was a miracle in the first place.

When Caspian got to the forest, he yelled out Susan's name to try find where she was. Peter was trailing behind him doing the same thing.

Susan heard the yells for her. She yelled, "Help! Help! I'm over here!"

Caspian heard her tiny yell and followed it. He found her lying in the dirt and liquid on the ground with her. Susan's face lit up when she saw who she wanted to see. Caspian came to her side and said, "I'm going to pick you up. I know you hurt, I'm sorry."

He picked Susan up quickly to get it over with, and she cried in pain. Caspian said calmly, "I'm going to run, alright?"

Susan nodded her head slowly with tears falling from her eyes. He carried her back to the castle and into the healing ward. He placed her on a bed, and she was sweating badly. The professor was already there. Caspian looked down at his hands, and they had blood on them.

The professor looked at her and said comfortingly, "not to worry Susan,You're going into labor now Queen Susan. You're nine centimeters dilated. You're going to need to push very soon to save this babies life."

Susan nodded her head. She was in too much pain to say anything. The professor pulled Caspian to the side and whispered, "She's lost a lot of blood and still losing more. She might not make it through. We just might have a chance of saving the child though."

Caspian looked at Susan, who looked like she was in so much pain. Caspian whispered back to the professor, "No, she will make it through. She's so much stronger than that."

Susan gave another squeal of pain. Caspian ran to her side immediately. Her face was more pale than usual, and she felt very weak. Caspian knew she was losing too much blood. He pulled the coin out of his pocket and whispered into it, "I wish my wife and child will live through this."

He heard the words, "It is done." Whisper back into his ears. The professor came over and checked on Susan. He looked up into Susan's eyes and said, "It is time to push now Queen Susan. I'm going to count to ten and you push in those ten seconds, alright?"

Once he started counting, Susan pushed with all of her might. With doing so, she was crushing Caspian's hand as well, his knuckles were white. When the professor got to ten, Susan breathed in heavily. The professor said enthusiastically, "One more big push like that should do the trick Queen Susan."

He started counting again, and Susan pushed once again. The pain raging through her spine was agonizing. Then she felt a relief and stopped pushing. A baby's cry echoed through the room. The professor said excitedly, "It's a girl!"

He wiped the baby off with a cloth and handed her to Caspian. She was still crying uncontrollably. Caspian smiled down at his baby girl. Susan held out her hands and said, "I want to hold her."

Caspian gave Susan her daughter and Susan cried looking at her baby. Susan said, "I know exactly what to name her. I want to name her Orchid."

Caspian smiled, "I love it. I love little Orchid already."

The professor said to Susan, "Queen Susan, I want you to know I doubted you, but you pulled through. I acclaim you for that."

Susan smiled weakly, "Thank you for everything."

The professor gave a nod and walked out of the room. Susan gave Orchid to Caspian and said, "Louise wasn't kidding when she said this was tiring and painful."

Caspian chuckled not taking his eyes off of Orchid. He said happily, "She has your bright-blue eyes, Susan."

Susan smiled tiredly, "She also has your thick black hair, Caspian." Orchid did already have lots of black hairs on her head.

Susan's eyes were drooping, and Caspian said quietly, "I think you have people outside waiting for you, but if you want to sleep I'll let them know otherwise."

She shook her head lightly, "No let them come in."

Caspian gave Susan, Orchid and opened the door. Outside the door was Lucy, Peter, Edmund, Princeton, and Louise. The all came in excited. Lucy was the first one to gasp. She ran over to her sister and before she could say anything, Susan said, "It's a girl and her name is Orchid."

Louise giggled understanding why she was named that. Susan gave her baby girl to Lucy. Lucy looked at her and said, "I can't believe I'm already an aunt of two."

Edmund put a hand on Caspian's shoulder and said, "Congratulations. A month early, and she's a healthy too."

Caspian smiled and noticed Susan's eyes trying to stay open. Caspian looked at everyone and said, "Susan needs some rest, even though she's too stubborn to let you all know that."

Lucy gave Orchid back to Caspian, and the family left the room leaving Caspian, Susan, and Orchid alone. Susan said quietly, "I know what you did. You wished for me and Orchid to pull through and live. I'm not a true fighter."

Caspian sat on the edge of the bed holding Orchid in one arm and holding Susan's hand in his free one. "Susan, you were near the brink of death, and you were still willing to give birth. You are a fighter. You always will be, and I hope our daughter has your same strength and determination."

Susan's face softened. "I think you need to kiss me now."

Caspian chuckled and leaned down and kissed Susan. When he pulled away, her eyes closed, and she fell asleep. He looked at his sleeping wife and then at his sleeping daughter. He whispered to himself, "My two beautiful girls."

Susan woke up to the crying of a newborn. She realized she was in her normal room, but Caspian wasn't lying to her. She sat up and saw a silhouette of someone from the light of the moon. Caspian whispered, "I'm sorry you woke up. She's a little unhappy."
Susan rubbed her eyes and stretched. "She's probably hungry. Here." She held out her arms, for Caspian to give her Orchid. She started to feed Orchid and afterwards Orchid fell right back to sleep.

Susan asked quietly, "What time is it?"

"Around five in the morning. Why? You can go back to sleep you've deserved your rest."

Susan sighed, "I think I'm ready to tell you about my fear on the island."

Susan told him about everything that went on in her mind. While Caspian sat in the dark, he listened he didn't say or question anything. At the end of her story Susan said, "I don't think my true fear was Demeterius. I think it was losing you and my future family. You not loving me anymore, I guess I couldn't live like that. That was my worst fear."

Caspian stood up and walked over to the bed. He said lovingly, "You know how the treasure on the island was our wishes?" Susan nodded and he continued, "Well my wish was for you and Orchid to live. You're my treasure and so is Orchid, and I'm never letting either of you go. I love you so much Susan. I don't know Orchid that well, but I love her too. I promise you, you will never lose me."

Susan smiled and he smiled right back at her. Caspian said, "I'll never know why I go weak at the knees for that smile Queen Susan."

Susan giggled and shoved him lightly, "Hey! That's my line."

Caspian chuckled, and Susan tugged on the collar of his shirt and pulled his lips to her own. Their kiss started the new life as a different family. They were ready for anything.
