Chapter 89: Kyle's secret

Kyle felt he could connect with Heath the most out of the brothers. Heath sat on the lounge and sipped a beer when Kyle walked out of his room and sat down next to Heath to watch some TV.

It was the first time Kyle had worn a t-shirt since living with the brothers and Heath noticed four one to two inch scars scattered on Kyle's left arm.

"What's that?" Heath asked, pointing towards Kyle's arm.

Kyle looked down. "Ah nothing, just something that happened when I was 15 and living at the group home."

Heath smirked. "Do tell." He encouraged.

Kyle sighed and explained what had happened before he had been given a second chance at the caravan park. "So I got really depressed and started to drink and one night I drank too much, smashed the bottle and cut my arm."

Heath was shocked and raised his eyebrows. "Woah."

"When I was found I was taken to hospital because of the alcohol and to patch up my bleeding arm, then I had to stay at the hospital and receive counseling and be evaluated."

"Lucky you weren't here and done that, Brax would have kicked your butt."

Kyle became nervous thinking what Brax may have been capable of. Brax walked out upon hearing his name. "Whose butt am I kicking?" He asked.

Heath pointed. "New mate here. Was depressed, got drunk, and cut his arm."

Kyle shifted with embarrassment and tried to hide his arm, but Brax had already seen.

"You still do it?" Brax asked.

"No it was one time." Kyle answered as he glared at Heath.

"Good." Brax added and walked over to his new brother and gently slapped him on the back of his head.

"Oww." Kyle looked surprised and a little hurt as he held his head and looked at Brax.

"What'd I tell ya?" Heath smirked.

"You're my brother now. You do something stupid and you'll be answering to me. I'll treat you the same as the others." Brax tells.

Heath chuckled, but was silenced when Brax added, "Just ask Heath, he knows all about doing stupid things."

"Hey, now we don't need to bring that up." Heath defended,

Brax raised his eyebrows and walked into his bedroom.

Casey walked through the door and threw his school bag down.

"How was school Case?" Heath asked.

"Arg! I don't know why I can't stay home like the three of you guys do."

Heath laughed. "Let up Case. You know Brax would never let you do that."

Casey grunted and headed into the kitchen to grab himself a bowl of popcorn and sat down on the couch with his two brothers.

Brax came back out and saw all his brothers talking. "Case you done all your homework?"

"What? Brax I just got home." Casey moaned.

Brax raised his eyebrows at Casey, "Get and finish it Case."

Casey groaned as Heath smirked and snatched Casey's popcorn from him.

"Heath!" Casey tried to grab it back.

"Ah sorry Case, golden boys gotta do his homework." He mocked as he ate some of the popcorn.

Casey just scowled at his brother and walked to his room, leaving Heath and Kyle to finish his popcorn.

Kyle rolled his eyes at Heath only to receive a playful glare before Heath grabbed Kyle around the shoulder and wrestled him.

"Heath get off!" Kyle protested and pulled back, trying not to laugh and threw some popcorn at Heath.

"Oi! Now you're in for it!" Heath yelled and went to tackle his brother again.

Brax only shook his head and wandered back into the kitchen. "Knock it off you two, it's bad enough I've got to look after one temperamental teenager, I don't need two kids adding to that." He smirked.

"He started it." Kyle stated, his hair was ruffled and he was smirking at Heath.

"It's not my fault ya such a push over." Heath laughed and punched Kyle's arm.

"Alright, I don't care how it started I'm finishing it." Brax said and went out of sight.

"Hey, better get used to being told what to do by the big fella, he's good at that." Heath joked, receiving a laugh from Kyle.

"I heard that Heath!" Brax yelled from the kitchen.

"It wasn't meant to be a secret!" Heath yelled back with a laugh.

Brax opened the fridge to get himself a drink and smiled, it wasn't just two younger brothers he had to watch out for now, it was three.
