I thought that this would be a nice short chapter, but some of it took me quite a while to figure out. I do not own OHSHC.

Sunny's POV

As the girls sipped their tea I took more of my environment into account. The way the other girls' cheeks would turn red or how they would look at their host from beneath their long lashes. They were all prime specimens in the female world and here I was looking like a dress-up doll.

Then I caught a glance at Hikaru and Kaoru's table. The way they worked together made me want to immediately look away. Some of the girls were covering their faces with their hands, only for them to peek from in between their fingers to get a glimpse of the action. It occurred to me that I never really looked at them that first day. Was this really all they did? What was the point in that? Were those girls enjoying the spectacle as much as American guys liked seeing girls cuddle with one another? Because I really didn't understand it.

Maybe about half an hour later, it was time to switch hosts, but since I only had three guests for the day there was no need for them to leave. Instead I went to go refill the tea pot, the entire time fighting the urge to sneeze.

My nose started to get itchy and I couldn't stop the sneezing fit. The most embarrassing high-pitched noises came out of me for a few seconds. The raspberry scent in the tea was starting to get to me. When it finally stopped I felt a very unwelcome presence, two in fact.

"My, my, Sunny," they both said, mischief clear in their eyes. "You have such an adorable sneeze. It almost sounds like a baby bunny."

"Hikaru, Kaoru," I said, rubbing my eyes. "I don't have time for your games. I need to get back to my guests." I grabbed my refilled tea pot, trying to walk around them, only for them to get right back in my way.

"But we want to play," they complained in unison.

"Just what am I to you?"

"You're our toy," said Kaoru.

"You're my toy," said Hikaru at the exact same time.

There was an awkward silence that passed between the two, until I realized what they were doing. This was obviously some kind of mind-game, the very ones Haruhi warned me about, the ones the Hitachiin twins were infamous for. I gave them a look of annoyance and walked between them, back towards my table.

"I expect a better answer next time, guys. You're starting to loose your touch," I said back at them. I wondered why they were targeting me. Or more precisely, why Hikaru was mocking me, after all Haruhi had said that most of the things they do were his ideas.

But I guess it didn't matter, Hikaru would soon loose interest in me and would find something else to do. Right?

It turns out that my guests were plenty curious about me, but I could tell that they were hoping for a bit more romance in my life. I was extremely happy that we had something to talk about, nothing like the awkward silences that I had imagined.

The day was over and, once again, I cleaned up the mess. I quickly changed out of my Hostess uniform, only to change back into my dandelion dress. Once I got out from the cramped changing room, I could tell that Hikaru was trying to avoid looking both me and Kaoru in the eye, going so far as to say that he was admiring the floor pattern.

There was an air of awkwardness around him and Kaoru, as if the conversation from before was unplanned and they were trying to figure out how to re-sync.

"How do you feel about Hikaru and Kaoru?" asked Haruhi, as we entered the apartment. The question startled me and was completely out of nowhere.

"What do you mean?" I asked, slipping off my shoes.

"I saw that you three were talking and when you walked away, Hikaru looked pretty embarrassed," she explained, taking off her coat.

"Um," I said, trying to find the words. "Well... they were trying to mess with me. And then Kaoru said one thing and Hikaru said something completely different. I called them both out on their little game and then walked away."

"Did anything struck you as odd?"

"Not really, I just figured that it was planned and they were trying to confuse me. They both seem a bit... off. Like Hikaru actually meant it, but considering that they both like to toy with people I thought that it was intentional. They're both... considerably nice-ish, but they keep people at a distance, as if they don't know how to communicate with others."

"Yeah," she agreed. "But they seem to be getting better at it, problem is they don't know how to express their emotions properly, especially Hikaru, but I don't think that'll last for long. He seems to be starting to be slowly grow from it."

"How can you tell?"

"I think he has an opportunity to express his feelings onto someone else now, and not just Kaoru." There was a slighty secretive smile on her face as she said this.

"Really? Who?"

"It's a secret," she said, putting a finger over her lips.

My annoyance only lasted a few milliseconds, until I remembered that everyone had the right to keep their secrets actually secret. After all, that was exactly what Kyoya-senpai, Hiakru, and I were trying to do these past few days about my scar, but how long would that last? How long were secrets really left in the dark?

Was this at all good? The next chapter will feature Sunny's Hostess Type.
