Chapter 91: Infatuation

Next day's English class was awkward for both Henri and Casey who both avoided eye contact. When the lesson was over Casey stayed behind.

"Casey class has finished you need to go."

Casey didn't leave but approached her. "Miss Brown."

"Casey I'm not doing this. You are my student. What happened yesterday was a mistake." Henri spoke.

"That's the thing, it wasn't. I realized I love you." Casey pleaded.

"Casey I could get in a lot of trouble if it got out what happened yesterday."

"It won't. No-one needs to know." Casey moved in closer to her.

"No Casey. You will stay away from me otherwise I will report you to the principle for harassing a teacher." Henri warned.

Casey grabbed Henri's wrist. "I love you." He pleaded and kissed her again, this time Henri didn't react and only pushed him away.

"Casey Braxton stop it! Do not approach me in that manner on school grounds. Now leave my classroom immediately!" Henri ordered.

Henri did not want to admit the flattery she felt that a student was in love with her and pushed it out of her mind. Casey left and thought, Henri only said he couldn't approach her on school grounds, she never said outside of school was against the rules.

Casey snuck into the main office of the school and quickly looked through all the data base files and found the file containing Henri's home address. Casey jotted it down and left the school.

Kyle and Henri had planned for a nice evening at her house but Henri seemed quiet. "Are you okay?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah, it's just...I'm having a bit of trouble with one of my students." Henri explained.

"Anything I can help with?"

"No it's fine." Henri replied and was ready to sit down next to Kyle on the couch when the doorbell rang. Henri got up and opened the door and to her surprise saw Casey standing on the step.

"Casey what are you doing here?" She demanded.

"I came to see you. You said we couldn't be together at school so we're not at school now." Casey urged.

"Casey I meant we couldn't be together period. You need to leave." Henri pushed.

"No you can't tell me you didn't feel anything when we kissed?"

"Casey leave." Henri ordered again, but Casey moved forward and kissed her, just as Kyle walked up to the front door to see what was taking his girlfriend so long.

"Casey!" Kyle exclaimed. Casey pulled out of the kiss and stared at Kyle.

"What is he doing here?" Casey demanded.

"Kyle is my boyfriend."

"What are you doing here Casey?" Kyle asked, still surprised to have seen his brother kissing his girl.

"You know this boy Kyle? This is the boy I was telling you about that I was having issues with." Henri said.

"Casey is my little brother. Casey what are you doing?" Kyle demanded and pushed Casey outside the door.

"Get off me you traitor!" Casey yelled.

"What? Casey will you stop!" Kyle yelled.

Casey stormed off, feeling as though he had part of his heart ripped out. Kyle followed his brother back home.

"Casey what are you doing messing with your teacher? Don't you know how wrong that is?" Kyle lectured.

"Who are you to tell me what's right or wrong?" Casey snapped.

"Casey you can't go around having relationships with your teachers. I don't know what to say to you but maybe Brax will." Kyle warned making Casey push him.

"Oh you'd love that wouldn't you, just dob me in to Brax so you can have Henri all to yourself. Great plan! Don't you dare tell him!" Casey yelled.

"Casey don't get so worked up over a dumb crush." Kyle replied coolly.

"It's not just a crush, but what would you know? You don't even know what love is! You've never even been loved!" Casey snapped. Casey knew as soon as the words came out of his mouth that he had over stepped the boundaries, but he was angry.

Brax and Heath walked into the house from their surf and saw the tension between the two younger brothers.

"Right because my Dad was never around and my Mum sent me away! Thanks for clearing that up!" Kyle snapped and stormed passed Brax and Heath.

"Hey where you going?" Heath asked.

"Apparently I need to learn what love is!" Kyle replied hurt and annoyed.

"What?" Heath asked confused. Brax raised his eyebrow at Heath to follow Kyle.

Brax stared at Casey. "What was that about?"

"Nothing." Casey mumbled.

"Didn't look like nothing." Brax motioned towards the table. "Sit." He ordered.

"I'm in love with this girl and that traitor has been seeing her!" Casey argued.

"Well did Kyle know you liked this girl?" Brax asked.

"Well no, but that's not the point. I really love her he doesn't!" Casey snapped.

Brax sighed. "How do you know he doesn't love her? Casey you're a kid you don't understand what love is."

Casey felt insulted and frowned at his brother. "I know enough to know that I love her." He defended.

"Nup. Besides that doesn't give you the right to have said that about Kyle." Brax replied, shaking his head.

"I know, but I was angry."

"Who is this girl anyway, she's either far too young for Kyle or too old for you?" Brax raised his eyebrow at Casey.

Casey turned away, knowing Brax wouldn't be too happy to find out his love was for his teacher.

"Casey who is she?" Brax pushed.

"Henri Brown." Casey whispered.

Brax remembered the name from when Casey had detention and she had called to notify Brax.

"What? Your English teacher? Casey that is against the law!" Brax shouted firmly.

"It's not what you think!" Casey snapped back. He had become angrier that his brother was judging what he felt.

"Nup I don't care. This crush stops now you hear me?" Brax told him sternly and pointed at him.

"Brax I can't do that! Besides it's not a crush!" Casey argued.

"Excuse me? This isn't up for discussion Casey! You are coming into your HSC years and you need to focus on school, which I might add your marks have been dropping recently, probably because you haven't been focusing on your work but wasting time on some women instead."

"Enough about my marks! You've told me a hundred times already and Henri isn't just some women!" Casey shouted and stood up to tower over his brother but Brax immediately stood up to match his height.

"Casey I don't want to see you get hurt from this infatuation. You stay away from this Henri Brown. I will not tell you again." Brax warned, causing Casey to sit back down defeated.

Heath caught up with Kyle. "Hey dude, wait up. What was all that in there?"

"Casey's right, I don't know anything about love." Kyle spoke.

Heath scoffed. "Don't listen to that squirt, he's only just found out what it's like to have a crush."

"That's the thing. Casey is upset because I was seeing the women he has a crush on." Kyle explained.

"Wow that's steep, she must be pretty hot."

"It's Casey's teacher, her name's Henri Brown."

Heath choked. "Geez Case is thick. That's messed up dude."

Kyle shrugged. "I can't stay with her now I don't know my own feelings anymore."

Heath placed an arm around Kyle's shoulder. "Plenty more fish in the sea."

Heath and Kyle walked through the door and Casey and Brax looked up.

"Hey." Brax greeted. Brax gave Casey a poke and Casey stood up.

"Kyle I'm sorry I went off at you before. It's just that I've never really liked someone before and Henri seemed special. I was out of line when I said those things to you." Casey apologised.

Kyle nodded. "It's fine Case. I've decided not to go out with her anymore anyway, it's too much trouble, and I don't want to be fighting with my little brother over it."

"Good choice. A rule of thumb for all of us, we don't fight over a girl again, we're brothers, and that's more important than any relationship." Brax spoke and the three brothers nodded in agreement.

"What do I do about Henri? I mean I'll see her at school and I can't just forget about her?" Casey commented.

"You leave that to me. I don't expect you to move on from her quickly seeing as she was your first crush and Kyle your first girlfriend but you make it happen no questions asked." Brax told them and received a nod from both boys.
