Running through the Senju settlement was a hassle. Sasuke needed to remember perfectly where the entrance was or else, Tobirama would catch up quickly.
"Outta the way!" Naruto screamed at the top of his lungs as they weaved past people. "Hey watch it, brats!" an elderly Senju shouted out as the brats had bumped into him. "Where are you two rushing to?" a mother Senju questioned as the kids almost knocked her to the floor.
"Sasuke, are you sure we're going the right way?" Naruto asked his friend who had been leading their escape so far. 'Damn it! I can't remember if we took a right or a left...curse this jutsu!' Sasuke muttered with great anger, since having been a child again his memory was really hazy and it was hard to remember things.
"We need to take the high ground, Naruto." Sasuke shouted as he scanned for a way up. Luckily they had been running towards one of the local taverns and it was a restock day. The owner had his crates delivered outside his place just beside it. They we're stacked so high, they'd do well for a boost.
"This way." Sasuke shouted as he ran up the crates and got onto the roof, Naruto followed and close by Tobirama who was running for the brats noticed them. 'Damn brats are such a pest!' he used his chakra to push himself of the ground and jump onto the roof of the tavern.
"Wait was that Lord Tobirama?" one patron questioned. "Yeah, why's he chasing those kids?" another asked. "Were they thieves?" the last one interjected and they all sadly wouldn't be answered.
Sasuke having they high ground could see the forest beyond the walls of the settlement, now seeing a way out he felt confident and decided to bet on this escape.
"The wall Naruto! We'll jump over it!" he told his friend who looked forward noticing they we're approaching it very fast. "Okay! Let's do it!" they ran up using their parkour to skip over the roofs. Onlookers who noticed the children being chased by Tobirama Senju weren't sure if they should be worried or happy.
Since it was the first time to see their leader having a hard time chasing kids.
"They really are fast for kids their age." one father Senju stated as he watched the kids jump from one roof, only to use the telephone pole as a bar that would hoist them forward only to land on another house.
"Very agile as well." another stated, these kids were really impressive.
At the wall Sasuke rushing at the base, jumped off the roof and stamped his foot on the surface. Trying to put his left right leg on the wall to wall climb he pumped his chakra only to fall down...trying again it didn't work at that time Naruto had arrived and he too struggled.
"Damn it! Our chakra control is pathetic! We need another plan, quick!" Sasuke turned to Naruto who began to think as he had a great idea. "Time for the greatest ninja's Ace jutsu!" he summoned a shadow clone as he opened him palm. The blue ball began to form but something was different about it...it was really small.
"Here goes! Rasengan!"
"Naruto wait it might be unstable!" Sasuke's warning was too late, the blond had already launched his attack and when it hit the wall, it made a big hole. Well the hole was big but it basically destroyed an entire section of the whole thing, making it very noticeable.
"You brats! What the devil are you doing!" they were too slow, Tobirama had arrived just in time to notice Naruto's strange jutsu. His deadly glare made them both tense as he stood tall in front of them, with a serious scowl, he gazed upon them.
'Just what kind of brats are these?' he thought since they weren't any regular kids. The fact they destroyed the entire wall made that very clear! It was made by Hashirama for godsakes!
"Hashirama I got them." Tobirama stated as he forced the boys back into the room once more. "They created a bit of an uproar in the village." he stated as he explained what they had just done. Mito was angry hearing they had destroyed the wall of the Senju village, Madara was impressed by their plan of escape and Hashirama was surprised to here that his wall was destroyed by a child.
"You two face the wall and think about your actions." with a motherly voice, Mito pointed to the wall as both boys being scared of her death stare followed the order. "So these two have done what many clans could not do. Surpass the Senju's defense, huh? Who would have thought of two brats were able to break that pain of a wall." Madara stated, since during the warring states, many clans tried to siege their rival villages but the Uchiha and Senju had great strongholds.
This is why when other clans would be nomadic and constantly move around, both Uchiha and Senju just stayed in their territories.
"I must say, Naruto chan and Sasuke chan are really impressive, that was my fifth strongest wood they just broke." Hashirama quipped "Don't give them compliments, Hashirama! What they did was been dangerous!" Mito scolded her husband.
"Uzumaki, that jutsu you used to destroy the wall what was it?" Tobirama asked. "Oh that...that's the rasengan."
"Rasengan? I've never heard about that jutsu. Where did you learn it?"
"Pervy Sage taught me when we were looking for baa-chan."
"Baa-chan? I thought you said you two we're orphans."
Oh crap! Naruto had forgotten, everyone in the room was looking at the two. "Damn it Naruto." Sasuke hissed under his breath. "Think of something fast!" the Uchiha added as Naruto was sweating bullets. "I...umm...Baa-chan...she's...uhh...an old lady that took care of us when we were orphans she sadly died of old age a year ago." he said as Sasuke just sighed in relief that he spoke a good reply.
"Well Hashirama I need to go. Thank you for informing me about Sasuke." Madara stated as Hashirama waved his friend. "I'm not going anywhere, creep!" Sasuke declared as Madara stood in front of him.
"Now I know it's pretty weird to leave with a stranger but Sasuke you dont belong here, you're an Uchiha and you must stay with your people." he replied as he put his hand on the kid's shoulder.
"No! I'd rather stay here with Mito!" he shouted back. "Well I can't let that happen, I don't feel comfortable leaving you here with the albino."
Tobirama took offense to that so he just growled under his breath. "We sucks to be you...I'm not going anywhere especially with a hedgehog like you." Madara scowled "No one's ever taught you to respect your elders did they?"
"And who says you're my elder?"
"As your father you need to respect me Sasuke, it helps in the sculpting of a good kid, you'll notice it once you're older."
"For the last time, I'M NOT YOUR SON!" he shouted with his hands raised. "What is that don't you understand you psycho!" at that point, Madara was angry. Grabbing Sasuke by his shirt, he had a scowling expression.
"First lesson as my son, do not make me angry. You wouldn't like me." he hissed as at that time both Mito and Hashirama intervened. "Excuse us Sasuke kun but me and Mito need to chat with Papa, okay?" Hashirama said as he followed Mito who guided Madara out. "Tobi can you keep the two occupied, we won't be long." Hashirama told his little brother.
"What?! Why me?" Tobirama retorted. "Since you're the adult. Don't worry, they won't bite." Hashirama reassured him.
The couple could be heard scolding Madara for his actions, and it seemed as if they we're training him on how to deal with children. Tobirama being alone with the boys remembered yet another feat he saw the blond Uzumaki do.
"Tell me brat, how did you learn my jutsu? I know for a fact I'm the only one who knows it." he eyed the blond who tensed. "What jutsu?" Tobirama eyed the blond.
"Don't play dumb, I'm speaking about the shadow clone jutsu. The one you used to make copies of yourselves." he explained it. "OH! Yeah I learned it from the scroll I took from the Hoka-OUCH!" Sasuke was quick to slap the back of Naruto's head.
"What was that for?"
"You we're about to lie." Sasuke replied. Tobirama seeing the display just ignored it. "Hey! Answer me. How do you know it?"
"I...eh saw you create it."
"You saw me create it?" he seemed surprised. "Yeah back in the forest, remember. You went to do something and made two clones to keep an eye on us." at that moment Tobirama remembered the earlier event.
"So you mean to tell me you learned my A-Rank technique from just one look." he seemed unconvinced. "What can I say I'm a fast learner." Naruto had a giddy grin as Tobirama narrowed his eyes on the blond. What he was saying was fishy. Sasuke seeing how Tobirama was still skeptical of Naruto decided to speak.
"Him being an Uzumaki helped him. With his clan being known for their chakra reserves it explains why it was easy for him to make them." Tobirama hearing that eased a bit.
"Good point mini Madara. Though there's still something the both of you are hiding...the fact you know about the Uzumaki just makes me more...suspicious of you two. You aren't regular seven year old are you."
Sasuke tensed when Tobirama finished. Was the Second Hokage really going to figure out their situation? Naruto wasn't taking it serious since he burst from laughter from what Tobirama called Sasuke.
"Mini Madara...Haha...actually I kinda see it."
"Shut up dobe!" Sasuke hissed as he huffed his cheeks while folding his arms.
"Eeeh! Look Madara he's doing your stance." Hashirama giggled like a school girl as he stood at the door. Madara had been beratted by Mito and when she spoke, he actually listened. The Uzumaki clan's women sure had a thing of making a man quake in their boots...even the strongest Uchiha couldn't keep away from Mito's wrath.
"Let me go!" Sasuke shouted as Madara held him to his chest. "No." the man begrudgingly replied as he hopped from tree to tree. They'd just left the Senju village and Madara needed to return to his village. "Let me go!" he stated once more as he flung a right to Madara's left cheek.
The older Uchiha simply blocked it with his left hand. "You're not going to surprise me again, Sasuke." he replied as he put the kid's hand down. "You sure about that." Sasuke made a horse seal but Madara caught him mid act. Quickly taking away his right hand, he stopped Sasuke from burning them.
"Were you really about to burn me?" Madara questioned. "What did you expect, your a stranger that kidnapped me." Sasuke huffed as Madara sighed. "You're really going to be a nuisance aren't you?"
"Let me go and I won't."
"Not a chance kiddo, last thing I need is you running off." he jumped from one tree branch to another. "I said..." he flung another right but Madara caught it. "Can you stop doing that...I need to concentrate or else we'll fall."
Sasuke huffed as he puffed his cheeks, the damn crazy man was right, they'd been travelling at a rather fast pace. It actually shocked Sasuke just how fast the guy actually was, the view was going rather quickly. To be honest he was impressed. 'But then again he is Madara Uchiha.' he thought. 'I wonder what Naruto's up to...for all I know that dobe, is already a nuisance to Tobirama.'
Back at the Senju village, at the Clan head estate. Tobirama was shocked to the core by what Mito and Hashirama had decided.
"Why should he share a room with me!" he shouted at his brother. "Because there aren't any extra rooms, Tobi. Besides he's a kid what happens if he needs to be soothed after a nightmare?" Hashirama asked with his hands raised defensively.
"Why can't he share with you and Mito?"
"Because, we're always busy. Besides you act as if he's bad news."
"He is! Look at the wall for example." Naruto just watched on with a cheeky grin as Tobirama eyed him coldly. "You think this is funny, brat."
"No." Naruto quickly lost his grin as he had a feared expression. "Oh come on you're exaggerating. Besides the boys apologised for their behaviour."
"I still don't understand why he's living with us. We practically don't know him."
"But we'll get to know him. He's a kid Tobes, we can't have him wondering the streets, he could get kidnapped or worse...eaten by bears."
"There aren't any bears around this area, aniki."
"Still there's a possibility. Besides you've been looking very moody lately, who knows maybe Naruto is the one to make you smile for once."
"Smile? The runt barely has any etiquette. Look he's already picking his nose!" he pointed to Naruto, who'd been digging his nose trying to keep himself entertained. As he finished he just looked at his finger and there it stood, one of the biggest boggers he'd ever seen.
"DON'T EAT THAT!" Tobirama practically jolted at the blond as he rubbed the bogger onto the floor. "What is wrong with you?! Don't you know that's nasty."
"I wasn't going to eat it!" Naruto defended himself. "Liar! You seemed tempted."
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"DID NOT!" Naruto's got into Tobirama's face. "DID TOO!" the Senju replied as the two went back and forth. "I'm leaving to attend to the village wall, so you two better play nice. Bye bye." Hashirama waved them bye as he went out of the estate, leaving Tobirama and Naruto. Who'd noticed his departure.
"So...want to play tag?" Naruto asked as Tobirama had stood up and headed for his wardrobe. "No." Tobirama replied as he opened it and took off his haori and armour. "Why not?" he asked. "I need to work on something."
"What's more important that having fun with your nephew?" Tobirama had a laugh. "Nephew. Haha, nice joke brat. You're not my nephew."
"Technically, seeing as Uncle Hashirama and Aunt Mito adopted me, that does make you me you're nephew."
"They didn't adopt you, they gave you a home." Tobirama replied as he wore his robes. "What's the difference, they feed me and clothe me. That sounds like something adopting parents do."
"They're doing it from the kindness of their hearts." he took off his shinobi sandals and wore wooden ones. "You're an Uzumaki, so Mito's doing it because you're from her clan." he finished as he headed for the door, with Naruto following. "Where are you going?" Naruto questioned.
"Out." Tobirama replied. "Out to where, exactly?"
"None of you're business."
"What should I do?" Tobirama had swung open the door. "Whatever you want just stay out of Mito's room, Hashirama's study and my room. Anywhere go for it." he closed the door behind him. 'I wonder where he's going?' Naruto thought as he looked through the window beside the front door.
Tobirama had walked down the road into the market. Naruto being bored decided to close the door behind him. "Hey! Lord Tobirama said you must stay here!" the guarding Senju at the gate stated.
"I am...it's just I want to buy something in town." Naruto retorted. "Tell me what you want to buy, and I'll do get it." Naruto growled, the guard wasn't going to allow him to leave. Coming up with a plan he decided to head back.
"On second thoughts, I can buy it on another time." he returned to the house. Inside he quickly made a shadow clone. "You're job is to play as me, alright." the clone nodded as Naruto henged into a bird, flying out of window at the back of the house he headed for the market. The clone came out of the house.
"Don't worry about me, my man. I'm just heading to the garden to pick out flowers. You want some?" the clone asked the guard.
"No."
"Come on I'm sure you have someone you want to surprise." the guard didn't speak. "How about your mom...I'm sure she wants flowers...what's her favourite, kind?"
"Daffodils." the guard replied. "Okay cool, I'll get your daffodils...wait I just realised. I don't know those plants...could you help me pick them for your mom?" the guard looked at the kid.
"But I'm on duty."
"Oh come on it'll only take a few minutes, besides have you taken a break yet?"
"No."
"Then come on, take a break to get your mom a present. She'll really love it." the guard was a bit hesitant. "You know what they say. A mother will love her son, no matter what effort is put into a gift."
The guard was going to stay put but eventually caved in. "You know today is her birthday, so why not." he followed the clone to the garden. "That's great we'll make her a necklace."
"A necklace? From daffodils? Is that even possible?"
"Mother Nature has a thing for making anything possible, my friend. Come I'll show you how to make one." as the clone took away the guard, it made a thumbs up into the air, as up there Naruto flew by and seeing the signal he was assured.
"Okay guards distracted...now...where is he..." he looked down onto the roads, as people walked by, going their separate ways. It actually surprised Naruto just how many the Senju were... 'I mean look at how many they are whatever happened to them.' he thought since he'd never seen a Senju that wasn't grandma Tsunade.
"AHA! Found you!" his eyes had landed onto Tobirama, who was walking down a street as he was greeted by patrons. "Now where are you going." the blond questioned as Tobirama out of no where looked high up into the air and seemed to have a cold stare that made Naruto yelp.
"Did he see me?" he questioned as he acted as if he to the left. His eyes still on Tobirama, who eventually broke his gaze. "Hew...that was a close one." he landed onto one building as he reverted back to his normal form. 'I'll go on foot now.' he decided to just tail him like a boss.
Arriving at the last place he saw Tobirama, Naruto hid behind a corner, as he peeked from his vantage point. The white haired man, was still walking straight as he then took a right. Naruto getting out of his hiding spot ran for the man. Tailing him was really hard since he needed to dodge all the people walking in the opposite directions.
Some he bumped into and most of them seemed to be fine with the collision while others especially the old geezers thought he was a hooligan. "Stop running like your crazy, brat! You almost knocked me off my feet!" the old man shouted as who was a few feet away just turned his head to apologise.
When his head turned back to Tobirama he seemed to make a left, Naruto following noticed that it was an alleyway that had no one in it Tobirama's figure was seen making a right and Naruto being keen to find out what was the Senju doing in such a place running across the alleyway as he faced right only to see a dead end.
"What the? Where did he go?" Naruto questioned as he walked into the alleyway. 'Is there a secret passage?' he questioned as he pressed the walls but nothing happened. "Why are you following me brat!" Tobirama's voiced boomed from behind as Naruto turned to see him approaching.
"How did you turn into that bird?" he asked as he continued to approach. "Just who are you anyway." Tobirama basically took out a kunai as he held it to Naruto's throat as he bashed him against the wall. "You're a spy aren't you! It explains how you were able to learn my jutsu. You were sent by an opposing clan to infiltrate us right?"
"No...I'm not." Naruto replied. "Don't lie to me. Why are you following me, then."
"I was just curious."
"Lies! You plan onto gathering info and relaying it to your boss. Sadly you were caught before you could gather anything."
"I have no boss." Naruto replied as he felt really scared right now since Tobirama's glance was very piercing. "Don't lie to me."
"I'm not. Can you please let go of my shirt, you're ruining it."
"This is going to be a long day for you. Worrying about your shirt will be the last thing."
