Pythor's POV:
Xander. Even the name gives me chills.
All my life, I thought that I was scary and frightening. Which I was before, but now even a mere 11 year old child showed no fear while in my captivity. But Xander's a completely different story.
He's shady, for starters. Seems to show no emotion whatsoever. Unless forced to, or course. But only by his master, Venom. At least I've seen Xander, but the person I'm actually working for, well, one can only guess what he looks like.
I'm about to find out though. The cold apprentice appeared before me, saying that his master requests his presence immediately.
I slithered cautiously down the several ornate hallways. Lush ebony carpet lined the floor, and oil lamps hung on the walls. Clearly this guy's a fan of old school interior designing.
NOT THAT I WOULD KNOW ABOUT INTERIOR DESIGNING.
Eventually I reached the end of the hall, to see two large wooden doors. Before I could even knock and get my bearings, a voice barked. "Enter!"
I held my breath and slowly pushed open the door.
"Well hello Pythor. So glad you could join me. And my little friends."
The presences before me made my stomach give a violent jump. Devourer help me.
Kai's POV:
For the first time, all of us, including Lloyd and Zoe, were gathered together for a major team meeting.
Cole, Sensei and Garmadon still hadn't shown up, so everybody was bored. Jay was making googly eyes at my sister, making my blood boil. Lloyd was upside down on the couch, Zoe was pulling on her bracelet, and Zane was meditating.
Finally, the others sprinted inside, and the meeting was adjourned.
"Alright guys, now, obviously the serpentine are no threat to be taken lightly."
Everyone grimly nodded their heads, agreeing with Cole's statement.
"But, that doesn't mean they're not impossible to defeat. So, anyone have any ideas?"
At first, I thought we could do a stealth mission and find out their plans.
"Hey, maybe a stealth mission?"
Jay you mind reader.
Lloyd shyly shook his head. "No." He slunk farther into his seat when everyone looked at Lloyd. "When I was prisoner there, the place was swarming with guards. And all warrior and above rankings. It would be next to impossible to get in, much less eavesdrop."
Jay sighed. "Well, what else?" I bit my lip. The serpentine were cunning and surprisingly smart. They always seem to be one step ahead of us. We needed to make sure that would never happen again. Besides, they were after Lloyd, who's like a little brother to me. NO ONE was gonna hurt him anymore.
Lloyd's father was silent, but I could tell that he was concerned.
Suddenly, I realized something. "Lloyd, did you happen to see if there were any alternate entryways in the fortress?"
The blonde thought for a moment, then suddenly perked up. "Yeah, there was a door behind my cell. I think the entrance is behind the mountain of a million steps. I can show you guys where it is."
"Alright then! Let's go!" shouted Jay.
I winced. "Jay, if the serpentine are after Lloyd, do you really think it's such a good idea to have him come?"
"Aw c'mon guys! I'll just show you where it is and go back to the Bounty! It's no big deal! And besides, this is the first big lead we have. I'm your one shot at finding out what they're planning."
The kid had a point. But if we brought him along, then wouldn't it increase the risk of him getting caught again?
Zoe spoke up. "I agree with Lloyd. This is the one shot you will have at finding out what they're planning. And you all will be there, so it's not like he won't be protected. And he can shoot fireballs now." She smiled at Lloyd as she said the last part.
Cole groaned in defeat. "As much as it kills me to say this, fine. The kid can come. But the second you show us where it is you're going straight back to the Bounty. Alright?"
The smaller nodded in reply. Now we had a plan. For once.
Lloyd's POV:
That night, I couldn't sleep. I was too excited. My first mission with the others! Well, not so much a mission really, but still. This was a pretty big deal. But I was also kinda nervous. With the luck I've been getting lately, would I get captured again?
Eventually I got so restless I got out of bed, crept across the floor and out on the deck. But there was someone else there.
"Zoe?"
She turned around, causing her curls to fly around her head. At seeing me, she sighed in relief. "Oh Lloyd, it's just you."
I was glad it was dark so she wouldn't see me blush.
"Mind if I join you?" I asked softly. She smiled. "Of course."
For a few minutes, we just stood there in awkward silence, while also enjoying each other's company.
"The others are worried sick."
I groaned. "Don't blame them. After all the serpentine want me."
Zoe hesitated, and then punched me hard on the shoulder.
"OW! What was that for?!"
Zoe smirked. "That's for scaring me twinkle toes."
She walked closer to me, and pulled me close to her. "This is for everything else." And before I could process what was happening, she kissed me.
Now I understand how those actors feel on Jay and Nya's soap operas when kisses happen. At that moment, I felt like the two of us were the only two people on earth. Her hair smelled good. It smelled like lemons. I closed my eyes and felt my cheeks turn red again. I hugged her and she hugged me back.
I was disappointed when she pulled back and let me go. "G'night." Temptation struck to ask if we could kiss again, but I didn't want to push it.
The second she was out of earshot, I jumped and punched my fist in the air. "YES! SHE KISSED ME!"
Little did I know, someone was watching me that would never let me hear the end of this.
A.N: That was fun to write! PLEASE OH PLEASE REVIEW! Any predictions on what'll happen to the ninja? Nothing bad will happen to Lloyd, I'm not THAT cruel. But the ninja will defiantly learn a lot. I've got Venom's appearance all sorted out, and most of the plot. Sorry this chapter's kinda crappy. 10 days until Ninjago! So excited!
