Regina had to keep true to her word that she would work the weekend, so when the morning came she was up early enough to take her run before Emma and Henry would need breakfast. After dressing in running shorts, which she would need to replace before too much longer, and one of Emma's sports bras (she had never needed them before, being able to get away with running in a tank top, but her growing breasts had changed that) and a tank top, she headed downstairs to put on her running shoes and grab a bottle of water. When she got to the kitchen she saw that David was awake and already looked ready for a run.

"I'm sorry if I woke you," David offered, watching as Regina opened the fridge and grabbed a water.

"Not at all," Regina responded, smiling and turning away from the fridge. "I have a lot of work to take care of at the office and since I took off yesterday I get to work this weekend." Regina smiled lightly, knowing she didn't sound pleased about going to work. "But, I wanted to run before I go, while I still can." David gave her a questioning glance. "Well, I'm no expert, but I'm assuming that at some point, this…" she started, placing her hand on her baby bump, "is going to protrude even more and running isn't going to be easy or recommended."

David shook his head. "Right, well, if it helps at all, other than the happy glow, I really can't tell you're pregnant."

Raising an eyebrow, Regina chuckled. "Extremely charming, dear. Thank you…You were heading out for a run?"

"Yes."

"Want to run…together?"

"Yes. Uh, if you're sure you'd like to."

"Is this uncomfortable?"

"I don't know, Regina. It isn't awkward in the sense that I'm not comfortable around you; you and I settled what we did a long time ago. I'm worried about Emma and what she's going to think now that she knows. And I'm worried about Snow, and if she's ever going to come around."

"Well, Emma has already told me she doesn't mind us being friends, because I don't have many and she knows I love her, and you love her and it isn't something that would ever happen again. As far as Snow goes…I guess if I'm honest I have to say that I don't think she would be ok with you and I being friends still." Regina quieted at the last few words and shifted uncomfortable in front of David.

"Well, if Emma's fine with it, then let's go."

"What about Snow?"

"I imagine she won't be fine with it, as you said, but for the time being she won't talk to me and I don't want to turn my back on the rest of my family because she says so." Regina nodded and David waited as she put on her shoes. The two ran their usual route, skipping the swim and ran back. Regina tired more quickly than usual and the two slowed their last half-mile to an easy walk. When they got to the porch, David teased Regina on letting herself get so exhausted.

"I'll have to take you running with me in two months," David started as he opened the door and let Regina go in front of him. "It'll be really good for my self esteem."

She laughed heartily at his joke. "I'm sure I'll be pleased to help your self confidence. Meanwhile, I'll be huffing and whining about my huge belly." David chuckled and shut the door behind them. They were laughing as they entered the kitchen. Emma stood there and looked widely at them as their laughter died down.

"Good morning, dear. You're up early," Regina greeted, walking to Emma and placing a light kiss on her cheek.

"Yeah, um, the kid woke up and wanted an omelet. You weren't there so I thought you left for work already without saying goodbye," Emma said, slightly frustrated.

"I'll um…I'll just go take a shower. Thanks for running with me, Regina. Good morning, Emma." After Emma nodded, David turned and left the two alone.

"So, um…you could have let me know you were leaving," Emma reprimanded.

Regina tried to ignore the slightly annoyed tone in her wife's voice and smiled at Emma. "I'm sorry, you looked so peaceful, I didn't want to wake you, I know it's been a long week." Emma still wasn't looking at Regina so the brunette moved one hand to turn the blonde's face toward her. Searching green eyes with her own brown ones, she asked, "Are you upset with me, Emma?"

"No…I…I don't know. I just…it was the first night we stayed in bed together after two nights of being apart and I guess I was just shocked that you weren't there when I woke up. Or here, at all. You were running…with my dad."

"Are you upset that I was with David?" When Emma didn't answer, Regina scowled at her. "Emma Swan-Mills! You listen to me, right now. You told me you were fine with your dad and me being friends. If you weren't you should have told me. If you aren't now, you need to tell me now and not change your mind. I told you already that I would give up anything for you, and I meant it, I still mean it. But you can't be fickle; this back and forth is not ok. I love you and you know, I know that you love me, no matter what has happened in the past. But if you're going to be weird, you need to decide what you're doing and soon."

Emma nodded. "My mom called and asked me to have lunch with her today."

"Oh? What time?"

"Noon. You're going to work, yeah?"

"Yes. Henry can entertain your father, or he can do whatever he pleases. Wait…is he working at the station today?"

"He wasn't supposed to, but I was thinking of asking him to, give him something to take his mind off mom without making him feel like I'm trying to make it better."

"Not that I mind you having lunch with your mom, but our new things are supposed to be delivered between 2 and 4, I'll probably be at work until 5 and if your father is going to be at the station, you'll need to be here. Henry can't sign for the delivery, since he isn't 18 and I'd rather make sure one of us was here anyway."

Emma nodded. "Yeah, I'll make sure I'm back in time."

"And make sure they take the old things, didn't it say that was included in the delivery?"

"Yeah. Um…so...we'll have a new bed tonight," Emma said slightly above a whisper.

"Indeed we will." Regina looked at Emma expectantly yet with certain sternness. "And while I am entirely for continuing to try to get us to where we were a week ago," she started, cupping Emma's cheek in the palm of her hand. "I need you to decide today, before I get home, what it is exactly that you want from me. You need to be able to tell me exactly what you want me to do to make this…us better. If you need to make a list, so be it. Do you understand me, Emma?" After Emma nodded slowly, Regina pushed an easy and quick kiss to her wife's lips and went upstairs to shower and get ready for work.

When it was nearly noon Emma got around to heading to Granny's to meet her mother for lunch. Snow had wanted Emma to go to the apartment, but Emma denied that request wanting to be somewhere that Snow was less likely to really make a scene. As expected, her mother was already sitting in a booth in the back corner of the diner sipping coffee.

"Mom."

"Emma, how are you?" Snow asked in a sweet voice. She didn't know exactly how Emma felt about the situation they were all in and she didn't want to risk upsetting her daughter just yet.

"I'm alright…how are you holding up?"

"Oh, you know…I could be doing better."

Ruby chose that moment to come take their orders and after doing so she smiled and walked away. Snow shifted uncomfortably in her seat, a movement Emma almost immediately mirrored.

"So…uh…dad told you."

"Yes, your father told me about what he did before…uh…before the curse broke."

"Yeah."

"Did you forgive Regina?"

"Uh, yeah…I guess sort of."

"What does that mean…sort of?"

"Mom, I don't know. I forgive her for lying to me. And it's not like she was actually doing something to hurt me when they…when it happened. She didn't cheat on me…she didn't…I don't know. I guess I'm not happy about it having been dad, you know. But she's my wife and we're having a baby."

"And you're really certain it's your baby?"

"Yes, mom. I know Regina is a lot of things and old Regina may have been cruel, but my Regina isn't. My Regina is sorry for what she did."

"Then why do you only sort of forgive her?"

"Because it's weird, having sex with my wife now because…dad's been there…"

"Oh gods, Emma, please don't say it like that."

"Well, how am I supposed to say it?"

"I don't know. I prefer not to think about it. Though…I can't stop thinking about it. Your father's never really kept things from me before."

"Mom…I know this is hard but their reasons for not telling us before…they're understandable. They didn't want to hurt us. I get it."

"But I can't forgive this…not yet at least. I want to. You have no idea how much I need your father here, but this is going to take me some time." Emma nodded. "And I'm not sure Regina will ever be welcome in my home again."

"I was afraid you'd say that."

Their meals arrived and both women picked at their food slowly while continuing their conversation.

"Emma…what did you expect?"

"That you would remember that it was before the curse broke. That it was before Regina and I fell in love and got married. My Regina would never do something like that."

"Still…she knew then what she was doing. David may not have known who she was but she knew who he was and who she would be hurting."

"You know…for the record…I told dad not to tell you, I mean, just yesterday, when he brought Henry home, I told him not to tell you because I knew you'd take it out on Regina and I didn't want that. I have my wife, my son and a new baby on the way. I finally have my mom and my dad, more than I've ever thought I would have. And I hate to say this, but I choose Regina, if it comes down to it, I choose her."

"But we're your parents! We love you unconditionally, we're your family."

"Mom, do you remember in Neverland how you reacted when you thought dad wasn't going to be able to leave the island?" Snow nodded. "You intended to stay there with him, even though you knew that I would get Henry off that island immediately."

"He's my True Love."

"Exactly. You had just found your daughter that you hadn't had for 28 years and you were willing to let me go so you could stay with dad, and I get it, he's your True Love. But mom, Regina's my True Love, so if you have nothing to do with her, if you don't want to see her at family dinners and everything, then Henry and I won't be there either. I'll have lunch with you and stuff, like today, but if Regina isn't included, family occasions won't happen. I'm sorry, but they won't. And I hope you'll reconsider because you're gonna be a grandmother again and I want you to be in this baby's life, but this baby is half Regina, and if you can't accept her, you can't accept my family." Snow looked stricken and near tears. "Mom, look…I know this situation sucks, and I know you'll forgive dad because you guys always find your way back to each other, but don't take too long. He's sad without you. He misses you."

"It hasn't even been a day."

"And still, he misses you. I saw it in his eyes this morning before he went to work. He longed to be saying goodbye to you, not me."

"He's staying with you?"

"Yeah. Where else do you expect him to stay? Granny's? I hardly think that's very affordable, especially when he can stay in our guest room for free."

"But…but Regina's there."

"Uh…yeah…it was her house first."

"I can't even deal with this. I don't want him staying in the house that he did that in…with the woman he did it with." Her voice was dripping with disdain when she said 'woman,' as though Regina wasn't worthy of the word. "How can you be so willing to stay there?"

"It's my home. She's my home. Besides, I made her buy a new bed. Snow…David and Regina, they're friends and I think they're both lonely in that department, so maybe you should just let it go and forgive. I think they need each other's friendship."

"I need to go. I think I'm going to be ill. I love you, Emma, have a good day." Snow took a few bills out of her purse and dropped them on the table before rushing out of the diner and leaving Emma alone, shaking her head.

When she got home it wasn't even two, so she figured she would get a head start on that list she and Regina had talked about. She pulled a legal pad and pen from Regina's desk and sat on the couch, knees bent in front of her and the pad of paper against her thighs. She rested her head against the back of the couch, eyes closed, contemplating. What could she possibly ask of Regina? Did she want Regina to stop being friends with David? She wouldn't deny that when she saw them come in together than morning from their run she was annoyed. But…Regina was right; it wouldn't be fair of her to ask her wife to give up one of her very few friends. Her wife and father seemed to have a camaraderie that Emma didn't want to see her wife have to give up. David and Regina had both been forced into Royalty in a way that neither of them had wanted when they were young, and that life was something Emma definitely didn't understand.

She looked at her paper and doodled randomly while her thoughts roamed around what she wanted from Regina. She felt unease in the pit of her stomach and knew that it was Regina feeling it, and Emma felt guilty for that. Quickly, she wrote down what she wanted from Regina and ripped the sheet off the pad, going to the desk to scan the page on the printer. After it came up onto the computer she opened an email to send to her wife, hoping that answering her would calm Regina down.

Regina was sitting at her desk sorting through paperwork when her computer made the familiar dinging sound that indicated she had an email. She opened her email to see one attachment from Emma entitled "The List", and weary of if she actually wanted to read it, she double-clicked the attachment and waited for it to download. There on the page, surrounded by a cartoonish drawing of her and Emma looking into each other's eyes, were three words that made her heart soar. She read: I want you.
