Epilogue

Mr. Kent was not thrilled that Clark had told Lex his secret without informing him first. The Kents were apprehensive about someone else knowing, but Lex did his best to put them at ease.

Starting with turning down Lionel's offer to work for him.

Clark gave Lex the flash drive with the Asclepius formula, and Lex was able to secure investors to create his own company. Instead of Lex Corp, the young Luthor named his new company Dioscuri as a homage to his and Clark's partnership. Lex paid Clark handsomely for the use of his blood, and Clark was able to use the money to pay off all the farm's debts, buy new equipment, and took the family on a vacation and was still set for life. Clark eventually used the money to fund a charity, meant to give metahumans therapy and find ways to use their powers to benefit society.

Lionel Luthor was sentenced to prison for the murder of his parents at the end of Clark's Junior year in high school. That summer, Lex and Clark began searching for the Stones of Power, retrieving all three before Lionel. The man succumbed to the rare liver disease he had, and died alone in prison, never reconnecting with his only son.

Lex became an honorary member of the Kent household. He was a big brother to Clark and Christopher. True to his word, Mr. Kent tried to judge Lex based solely on his actions and not on the Luthor name. They argued plenty at the beginning, but between Johnathan's unbending moral code and Clark's patient explanations, Lex was able to undo the years of instruction at the hands of Lionel. Johnathan eventually looked on Lex like a third son, and as Kansas State Senator, giving Lex the Humanitarian of the Year award was one of his treasured memories. Mr. Kent would eventually leave the world of politics and retired on the farm, helping his son, Christopher, run things. Johnathan found it difficult for a day to go by without working, but he took his golden years more slowly and enjoyed the time with his wife and grandchildren.

The world was changed with the introduction of Asclepius, and Lex made sure his company lead the way bringing forth revolutionary technologies and medicine that improved the human condition. Dioscuri even surpassed Wayne Technologies since its CEO was often missing. Lex would eventually go on to become President of the United States, supported by his loving wife, Lana Lang. The two shared a wonderful, loving, and supportive relationship. There was a scare during her second pregnancy, but with specialists being on call, Lana made a full recovery.

That Friday night, Clark and Chloe decided to try having a serious relationship once more. Since Clark opened himself up to having a relationship with her, Chloe's love and dedication for him only grew. Eventually Clark told Chloe his secret, and she became his closest friend and ally. They both went on to work at the Daily Planet as an investigative reporter team. They got married and had Lex as the best man and Lana as the maid of honor. The two were able to return the favor a year later.

Lois Lane would eventually join them at the Daily Planet. She had no shortage of admirers, one of them being Oliver Queen. The last Clark heard, the green archer was waiting for the right moment to propose.

The world still needed Superman, and Clark was able to accept his destiny and fought off Brainiac, Intergang, Doomsday (in an epic battle that lasted more than one second where he died and it was very sad, but he got resurrected), and Darkseid. He founded the Justice League alongside Batman and Wonder Woman. Funding for the station came from Wayne Technologies and Dioscuri. The world at first resisted accepting metahumans, but between the good deeds of the Justice League and President Luthor's Interplanetary Acceptance Act, Earth became known as one of the most accepting and peaceful planets in the galaxy.

Pete Ross eventually left Smallville and made his own way in the world as a DJ. He and Clark drifted apart, but have fond memories of each other, exchange Christmas cards and always enjoy getting together when they can to catch up.

As for everyone else in the other dimension, the veil has been closed so it is hard to see what happens next.

I'd like to think that Jeff went on to receive a doctorate in chemistry and went to work for Luthor Corp where he created a stealth suit for the military (the key ingredient being rose oil from kryptonite grown roses). Lois got her novel published and became a household name. She was best known for her "Star-Crossed Lovers" series, where each novel was about an Earth jumper who sought out the same woman again and again, knowing his life would be nothing without her. Chloe would eventually start her own magazine that emphasized everyday heroes and encouraged people to be the change the world needed. Gabe was given one of the first released doses of Asclepius and made a full, complete recovery. As a thank you, Chloe invited Alex out to dinner. They eventually developed a strong, respectful relationship which might turn into something more.

After Molly helped undo the damage she had caused at Luthor Corp, she left her bookshop to become the manager of the Kent Farm Summer Camp. The Kents were able to continue working the land and passed on their love of nature and hard work ethics with hundreds of children. Molly handled the corporate side of things and worked closely with Marci. Level 3 thrived under her leadership, and she advised Alex on what could come from certain projects. Zatara would accept nothing from Alex as a 'thank you'. Instead, Zatanna was given a hefty check that allowed her to travel the world and seek out other sorcerers that would teach her the magic arts.

Dr. Klein's theory was correct, and Julian woke up. The first person he saw was Alex, who had never left his side during the procedure. Alex was true to his word and told Julian the entire truth of what happened.

What happened next is clouded. If Julian was angry and for how long. All I can say for certain is that in the Luthor hallway, a new portrait would be added. One of Alex and Julian, standing side by side in front of a Christmas tree. The sweaters were ugly, and the smiles were real.

In both worlds, the battle between good and evil still raged. But everyone knew they had to create the futures they wanted in the actions they caused.

And they fought the fight together.
