A.N: Oh my glob! I'm so sorry for ignoring this! Agh…writer's block is a pain in the a$$

But, finals are done; I'm finally on summer vacation. *sighs in relief*

I tried some third person POV in this chapter. Could you give me some feedback on it? I've always wanted to try it and I couldn't really squeeze it in until now.

Some swearing in this chapter. Kai and Garmy are potty mouths. XD At least in my mind.

Thanks to the three Guests, Zane the nindroid, and Rebel Glow for reviewing. R&R please.

Oh, and did I do Cole okay? I'm not really used to doing his perspective, so tell me if I was alright. Cool? Cool.

Cole's POV:

As a normal person should, I had an understanding of what was right and what was wrong at a given time. Being a leader however, this is to a greater extent. I can't explain it, but I get this feeling whenever I felt something was wrong. And to my dismay, it was happening while we waited for Lloyd to come back.

We waited. I paced back and forth, endless possibilities swimming angrily through my brain like a school of minnows. Jay subconsciously plucked grass from the field and pulled it apart. Zane meditated. Kai paced along with me, but more ferociously, his feet pounding on the grass.

I usually try to be rational, but this was ridiculous. How long does it take to find one stupid soccer ball? Lots of things live in the woods. Hornet nests, deer, bears…

Whoa dude. Get a grip. I told myself. The kid's alright. He probably just got lost or something.

Kai grunted next to me. "This is stupid. How long has it been since he went looking for that stupid ball?"

"Approximately 10.5 minutes," Zane replied without breaking concentration.

"Should we go look for him?" Jay asked.

All eyes turned to me. Zane cracked an eye open. I hated when this happened. As much as being the leader is something that I'm dedicated to, sometimes when they look at me expectantly and I tell them what to do, I worry if something will go wrong and it's my fault.

I exhaled in defeat. Better safe than sorry if the kid needs help. "Alright, we'll split up. Jay, you come with me. Kai and Zane, that leaves you two. Search nearby and look around. If there are any snakes hiding, come find me so we can take them on together. Meet back here in half-an hour."

As we were about to head out, a flash of black flew by and fluttered carefully on the branch of a nearby tree.

"The falcon!" Jay cried in excitement.

Kai huffed, his expression reading, no, it's a taco truck. What was your first clue?

Zane calmly walked over to the bird and peered inside the panel in its back. "It appears it has new video footage."

I brightened a little. "Well, let's go to the Bounty. Hopefully the video will show more good than bad."

Lloyd's POV:

I really wonder how much worse my luck can get at this point.

Skales led me through the fortress as his entourage surrounded me to make sure I didn't get any ideas to try and leave. My palms were sweaty and my hands shook as I followed. The snakes that we passed gave me a grin while baring their fangs, pleased with the sight of me back in their stupid little claws.

It reminded me of Eurus before he stabbed me in the back. It made me angry. That whole little show he did knocking Rhadamanthus unconscious, his embarrassing Rhadamanthus in front of him, stowing aboard the ship, all an act. It disgusted me how I saved his scaly hindquarters and he handed me over to the enemy.

I felt a sharp tug at the rope, and I stumbled forward. We had arrived at the center of the fortress, with Pythor sitting on a small chair with a smug grin on his face. The silver dude from my dream was standing next to him, his expression unreadable.

"Well, well, well. Look whose back. I trust you got here unharmed, hm?"

I rolled my eyes. "Even if I was harmed, it's not like you would care."

Pythor paused for a moment before continuing. "You are smarter than you appear boy. Shame I have to end your life so soon."

My breath hitched at this reminder. Pythor noticed this and smiled coldly. "Yes, yes, but it must be done. Besides, why do you care anyway? You don't have the stomach to face your destiny in the first place. You know I'm right."

I winced at the sting of those words. As much as it pained me to admit it, he was right. I couldn't kill my father. No, I wouldn't kill my father. It wasn't right. It wasn't me. I'm not a murderer, and I'm not even sure if I should be a ninja. It was my fault the serpentine were released, and my fault I was captured. And it was my fault my friends were captured. If I died, at least I wouldn't cause any more trouble.

I stayed silent, glaring in the violet eyes of my captor. He didn't even flitch. Pythor turned to the silver guy and whispered something into his ear. In response, he nodded and took the rope from Skales, dragging me away from the fortress and down to the cellars once again.

As soon as Lloyd left, Pythor groaned and rubbed his temples. This was too stressful. Deadlines, captures, scrolls, all filled his brain to maximum capacity. There wasn't much room for anything else. And yet, he wondered how in the name of the devourer this plan will even work.

If the purple serpentine wanted to be honest with himself, he felt like he was being torn apart at the seams. Pythor just wasn't into the plan anymore. Venom was too chaotic and uncontrollable. As much as it pained him to admit it, the ninja were right. Venom had to be stopped. He didn't want Ninjago destroyed. Devourer forbid. He just wanted it controlled.

But, the cowardly side of him that he was ashamed even existed, couldn't back out of it. He just couldn't slither up to Venom and abandon ship. It would cause his scales smacked to kingdom come. Pythor didn't want that. And frankly, nobody would.

Xander calmly walked back to his side and regarded him coldly, which seemed fitting. After all, the man practically radiated cold. It was rather unsettling to the Anacondrai.

The pair sat, or stood, in awkward silence. Pythor sighed inwardly. To break the tension, he cleared his throat and asked the question on his mind since he first met Xander.

"So…how did you even become Venom's apprentice anyway?"

Xander visibly tensed and glared at the wall. It appeared Pythor trespassed on a rather sensitive topic.

"None. Of. Your. Buisness."

Pythor remained silent until the awkwardness was too much for him, and he quickly slithered away.

Garmadon wasn't expecting much news when the ninja burst inside the ship later that evening. Sure, maybe a few arguing ninjas amongst the group, but nothing major. But of course, he was proven wrong.

As the group watched the recording from the falcon, Garmadon could feel his heart slowly but surely crawling up his throat. The second he found those damn snakes he would rip their hearts out and choke them with their own intestines for kidnapping his son…again. And he was sure the ninja wouldn't be far behind him.

Well, pretty sure.

Zoe was growling under her breath, sounding so much like an animal the dark lord resisted taking a few steps away. The young girl was pretty, Garmadon would give her that, but he didn't know Lloyd was attracted by the violent type. Then again, that's what Wu consistently teased him about when he was dating Lloyd's mother, when they found out she was rather competitive during spinjitzu battles.

Just wait until you have to give him the talk, he thought.

Crap.

When the footage ended, all eyes turned to a certain blue hypnobrai standing in the corner. Garmadon's emotions slowly turned from dread to rage. Kai stormed up to the snake, grabbed his neck and slammed him against the wall, eyes smoldering.

"You…are a freaking ASS you know that!?"

Eurus smiled evilly, despite the fact he was slowly turning a deep shade of scarlet from the lack of oxygen. However he managed to gasp out, "you ninja are ssso gullible."

Kai turned to us, as if saying, can you believe this guy?

Cole growled next to the dark lord. "I can't believe I trusted you."

"I suggest you leave, before my student strangles you tighter." Wu's voice was deadly calm, with a tight facial expression.

Eurus hissed, then kicked Kai…well…in a place that will not be mentioned. The male population of the ship winced as Kai gave a rather girlish scream while falling to his knees.

The hypnobrai, now regaining breath, glared at the ninjas. "I sssuppose I know when I'm beaten. But I've done my job, and Venom will reward me greatly."

Jay laughed. "I'll remember that when my nunchucks are in your ugly face!"

Eurus studied Jay as if he was a moldy sandwich, then smirked. "You ninja are walking into a war you cannot win. I'll enjoy causing your demissse. Fairwell."

Before the ninja could retaliate, Eurus swiftly moved out of the ship, and back towards the serpentine base.

"Well, I'm not just going to sit here quietly and wait for the end," Kai spat venomously, turning towards the door.

"Kai," Zane calmly started, "it would be unwise to charge into battle without a plan of action."

Garmadon sighed inwardly. Leave it to Kai to rush into battle without thinking. Impulsive, irrational, hot-headed, how did this young man even become a ninja?

He saved Lloyd's life, he reminded himself. And is willing to do it again.

The dark lord clenched his teeth. Don't blubber like a baby like last time. Be strong for Lloyd. He needs you.

Jay lit up suddenly. "The last scroll is the creation one, right?" Everyone nodded in response.

"Sensei, didn't you say creation also includes light?"

My brother looked confused. "Yes, what are you implying Jay?"

"Maybe the scroll is where it's brightest, directly in the sun's rays. After all, the sun is light."

Cole's eyes widened. "Jay, that's brilliant!"

Jay looked surprised. "Really? Wow, someone write that down!"

Nya smiled and was holding back a laugh. The rest of the ninja rolled their eyes.

The leader of the ninja cleared his throat. "Alright, so what is the brightest place in Ninjago? A place that's always hot, and close to the sun."

An eerie silence settled across the table. Kai spoke up. "What about Torchfire Mountain? That place is pretty hot."

"A parchment would surely catch fire in a place with that high of a climate," Zane said sadly.

"Besides," Cole glanced at Kai, "the place doesn't have to be related to fire or very huge, it just has to be close to the sun's rays."

"Didn't you guys tell me the monastery was close to the sun?" Zoe asked.

"Yeah," Jay said, "there was a window that was impossible to look out of in our room because the sun was in the way."

Jay stopped when he realized what he said.

"The scroll's buried where the monastery used to be!" Jay screeched.

Garmadon smiled faintly. They still didn't have Lloyd, but at least they can stop the snakes.

And then pulverize them.

Lloyd's POV:

I was pacing back in forth back in my old cell when I heard faint voices outside the door.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Eurussss, in all his glory."

I snarled in the direction of the voice. I hope my friends would give him an extra hard beat-down when the time comes. On the bright side, at least they learned that I was captured again, and are planning how to get me out of this nuthouse.

"Ssshut it Adamos. Jussst be glad the boy is back in our grasp. You can thank me later."

"Hm. I'll passs. But, has Xander or Pythor figured out where the lassst scroll is?"

"They're working on it. After all, the map they have isss rather hard to decipher."

"Well, it is Venom'ssss. So it is rather old."

I heard a weird hissing sound that must've been laughter.

"Oh boy, hope he can't hear usss from his room."

"Nah, doubt it. But, did you hear about Pythor? Apparently he might be bailing out!"

"What?! Are you sure you don't need your earsss checked Adamoss?"

I'm seriously hoping I didn't. Since when did Pythor bail on a plan?

"I'm sssure Eurusss. After all, the captain sssees him conssstantly. He'ss the best source there isss."

Eurus growled. "Treassson. Should we warn Venom?"

"Let's sssee how it all plays out, ssshall we?"

Eurus chortled. "Indeed."

I heard an even fainter hiss from the other end of the hall.

"Looksss like the location hass been found!"

I didn't hear any more snakes, but I felt like my heart was about to leap out of my chest.

Hurry guys. I don't have much time left.

A.N: One of my longer chapters. I liked how it turned out.

Review please! Have an awesome day/night!
