Chapter 28 His Thoughts
Ohayo Minna! ^o^ Ahhh, so nice to see everyone again...even though I can't see you...or hear you...or speak to you all really but whatever! Okay, first off since so many of you were curious about what I meant by 'the kitchen incident',it was when I set the kitchen on fire three times while attempting to make food. 'VEGETABLE FOOD'. 0.0...that's right, you can all gawk now about my luck and stupidity but I SWEAR, I don't know HOW I manage to do it! DX Yeahhh...that wasn't exactly my best moment in life...if I've had one that is...DO I even have moments in life? Am I even worthy of them? I don't know, people question my logic all the time anyway...So, anyway, because of that incident everyone makes sure to keep me FAR away from any 'fire related object'! -.- It's always difficult to try convince people now-a-days to even let me near the toaster *mutters under breath 'stupid toaster'* in fear..big inconvienance in the morning so I just get up early and use it anyway!^^ Don't tell anyone though otherwise I'll be in trouble! Anyway~Enough rambling for now! Hope you enjoy da chappy Minna!
Normal P.O.V
As the sun shone into their window, the slayer still, warmly snuggled into his 'pillow' fate decided than and there that today it was gonna be a complete a** to the unsuspecting slayer. XD
Natsu's P.O.V
I was having an odd dream about me and some girl laughing with me. I couldn't see her face...or her hair..but somehow I felt like she was very important.
¨Ha, you're right! With Lisanna back, things will be even crazier!
An image of the white-take-over-mage suddenly replaced the other girl and he whipped around shocked, finding her slowly backing up further away from him.
Panic raced through his veins and he ran up to the girl, clutching onto her arm as some tears slipped down from the unknown yet oddly familiar face.
¨No! Don't go please!¨He whined to her as she tried lifting of his grip and tightened it,his head unconsciously resting into the crook of her neck to try keep her still.
She tugged harder and managed to free one finger.
¨No...Sttttop ittt Luuuuu-¨ The rest of the name was blurred to his hearing as she suddenly froze before struggling harder and releasing his grip before disappearing into thin air.
His eyes widened and his hands immediately went out to try and find her soothing presence as black clouded his vision, each fail urging on his desperacy and fear until he suddenly caught something, his eyes brightening with hope and happiness when he felt her figure. He looked down relieved to her (still unknown) face only to be surprised to see two familiar multicolored eyes glaring back at him, her cinnamon swinging behind her in an angry swirl.
Pure shock etched across his features ¨M-m-mis-s-st-t-t-y?¨ Her glare deepened and she tore his arms off of her, walking further and further away from him and into the darkness.
When the situation finally registered in her head, he called out to her, trying to force his legs to run only to have them stay stiff in the same place as she walked even further away.
¨Misty come back!¨ He called out desperately, loneliness and fear suffocating him, as tears streamed down his face ¨I love you! DON'T GO! DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE AGAIN!¨
She turned her head back once and he looked up hopefully only to flinch at her cold glare.
¨Liar.¨ She said, her mono-tone voice echoing all around as his eyes widened and more tears streamed down his already soaked face.
¨You never loved me.¨ She continued emotionless as he began shaking violently.
¨And Natsu?¨ Her voice became sugary-sweet and he looked up hopefully although he knew it was all sugar-coated.
She seemed to teleport to him and she leaned to his level, her fingers holding him up by his chin, a sugary, sweet and kind smile on her face.
¨I never loved you either.¨ A cruel and evil smirk made its way onto her face as she disappeared into the darkness, leaving a broken and whimpering boy behind.
Natsu's P.O.V
I shot up in bed, covered in cold sweat and whirled around the room...desperately looking around for her missing presence.
She left you...
Shut up.
She doesn't care...
No, Shut Up!
She never loved you...
¨SHUT UP! ITS NOT TRUE!¨ I screamed, clutching my head as immense pain spread through it for a second before mysteriously disappearing. I looked around the house again,finding her scent strongest at the window.
She left you...
The voice echoed into my mind and I shook it off, she was probably shopping or something,no need to go after her...yet.
I sighed quietly and lay back down in bed, staring up at the ceiling in thought. I wonder what would have happened if she wasn't there to stop me at that cliff...Would I have just died?...I can't even imagine living now without her *shiver* Just the thought of it makes me feel wrong...
I turned to my side and stared out the window, a light scent of vanilla and strawberries hitting me dead on...Ahhh, vanilla and strawberries...I wonder why it feels so familiar? It's probably just because I'm so used to her presence...right? Ahh, her presence...actually just Misty herself (unknowingly, a big smile made its way on his face)
Makes me really happy! I know I'm in love with her, cause like is a way too tiny word to even describe it...love doesn't even seem enough to describe what I feel. I wonder if she feels the same way?
A small frown tugged onto his face as he thought of the possibilities. What if she didn't? What then? His heart ached at the thought...but it was possible...After all, what could she possibly see in him?
No! Stay positive Natsu! You can do this; You can! I breathed in deeply and sighed.
She will.
Don't worry.
She won't leave you.
She'll never leave you.
And if she does we'll get her back.
I looked around surprised at hearing a voice seemingly like mine only deeper...and more...animalistic?
We won't let her leave us. She's ours. Ours alone.

(His eyes slowly became darker and darker as his teeth sharpened and his senses increased)

That's right.She's mine.And she's mine alone.
I blinked and shook my head frantically to clear the sudden thoughts in my head.
What was that just now? I looked around the room and saw no one, and my senses could detect nothing...So who could it be?
Stupid human.
¨Wha-? There it is again! And HEY! I'M NOT STUPID!¨ He shook his fist in the air menacingly.
*face-palm* I swear, how am I related to such an idiotic being? Oh well, at least Lu-the girl is normal...
¨Lu? Who's Lu? AND AGAIN; I'M NOT AN IDIOT!¨ I scowled and glared around the room,trying to find the culprit.
Pfffft, sure.
Okay, this guy is seriously pissing me off! ¨Hey you coward, come out and fight me!¨
*sigh* I don't have much time for this so listen up! I need you to surrender your body for a bit!
My eyes widened before narrowing. ¨What do you mean surrender to you? We haven't even fought ya bastard!¨I raised my fist and set it aflame in challenge.
Damn it human;listen! We need to find her! We need to find her now! Someone's hurting her!
My eyes widened and I decided to listen to the mysterious voice for once. ¨What do you mean her? And who's hurting her!¨
Your mate you idiot! She's hurting!
Mate?AGG I'M SO CONFUSED! My eyes furrowed and I clutched my head in frustration ¨What are you talking about?! What mate?!¨
SILVERFANG YOU IDIOT! SHE'S BEING HURT! SHE'S DYING DAMMIT! WHY DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!
My emotions disappeared completely. ¨Misty's being hurt?!¨

A huge, powerful aura surrounded the dragon- slayer and he immediately bolted out of the house, ready to track her down.
¨Hey weird voice, is she still hurting?!¨
Ye-No, she's fine now, but she has wounds and is...unstable...
I blinked...unstable? ¨What do you mean by that?!¨ I shouted.

GRRR I- Wait, Misty?
*sniff*
Yeah! It's her!
¨MIISTTY?!¨
I thought I saw a flash of silver and turned to an alleyway.
An alleyway? Why would she be in there?
¨Misty?¨ I looked carefully into the darkened alleyway and studied the back wall.
¨Miiisty?¨ I called out again. Damn it! I swore I saw silver in here! She has to be here!
*sniff* *sniff* Darn, no smell yet! Wait a minute...was that a flash of emerald?!
I slowly began walking into the alleyway and looking at the corner I saw it from..huh, it's not there...maybe its just my imagination?
I walked deeper into the alleyway and scanned all sides again before closing in, into the corner...I guess it was just a trick of light.
I slumped dejectedly and began walking out of the alleyway.
¨Whew...¨
I spun around immediately to the corner again. Misty!
His eyes shown with hope at the thought and he ran towards the corner at the speed of light, before jumping over it and behind her, as she stood up.
His fingers curled impatiently and he immediately swooped her into a hug, burying his face into the crook of her neck,inhaling her wonderful strawberry and vanilla scent.
¨I finally found you Misty!¨ His face beamed in pure happiness and with an instinct deep inside of him, he leaned her chin upwards to meet his when she suddenly roughly broke away.
¨Missttyyy...¨He reached out his arms again to hold her back against him when he noticed the frightened look in her eyes as she ran away.
Anger bubbled inside of him. No. She's had enough time with others. She's mine. She should spend time with me! She WILL spend time with me!
His legs immediately set to work and he quickly caught up to her, spreading out his arms to catch her.
¨Misstyy why are you running? All I want is a huug, I haven't seen you all day!¨ His hands almost captured her frame again when she cheekily dodged away.
My eyes widened in surprise when she suddenly whirled around to face me, her face contorting of pain, distress and panic as one of her hands shakily grabbed a katana and pointed it at me.
¨Misty?¨ The instinct to connect their lips disappeared and was quickly replaced by concern as she swung the katana around everywhere..a crazed look in her eyes.
¨STOP IT! STOP IT!¨ Her pained screeched alerted my senses and I tried to reach out to her as she kept slashing her katana at me, which I may add I very nearly dodged.
¨YOU MONSTER!¨*slash* *slash* ¨GET AWAY...GET AWAY FROM ME, I HATE YOU!¨
He froze in his tracks.
I hate you.
No.
I never liked you.
No!
She never loved you...
NO! SHUT UP! ITS NOT TRUE!
A beating sensation surrounded him and he curled into a ball, trying to get away.
Where is she?!
He wanted her.
He needed her!
Where is Mist?!
WHERE?!
Darkness captured him from all around and he closed his eyes.
¨Mistyyy...¨
Normal P.O.V
A while later, a disheveled fire-dragon-slayer awoke in an abandoned alleyway.
He looked around confused before remembering her and immediately running out of the alleyway to search for her.

...
...
Missing the fact that there were the remains of a scorched body...behind him.
Natsu's P.O.V
I finally found her.
On the rooftops.
Alone.
And crying.
He quickly raced to her and embraced her into a big hug, reveling in the fact that she was in his arms again.
¨Misssty? I'm sorry...I didn't mean to upset you.¨ He apologized quietly, tightening his hold on the still slightly shaking girl.
She shook her head around frantically, tear-drops splattering everywhere. My eyes softened further and I brought her against my chest, inhaling her scent deeply while he brought his words together.
¨I'm sorry Mist.¨
His gaze further softened as his eyes glossed over with a few un-shed tears.
¨I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.¨
His voice trailed off...He hated the thought that she was being harmed and he could do nothing...even more so that he wasn't even aware of it.
¨But next time, I promise! I promise I'll protect you from everything! Nothing will harm you!¨ Ever again..
His eyes widened in surprise when he saw a small, but heart-melting smile break out onto her tear-stained face.
¨Thank you.¨
Those words echoed through his mind and a bright smile broke out onto his face. He would protect her. He will.
He picked her up bridal style and headed home, laying her down on the blue mattress as the sky darkened to a black hole.
His body ached with exhaustion and before he could help himself, he collapsed on the bed next to her, instantly falling asleep.
But not before he thought he saw a flash of blonde hair. :o
END! Dang, this chapter feels so rushed even thought it's this long...oh well! ^^ Anybody wonder what happened in dat alleyway? Probably not, most of you would first be gushing about the ending I put in, never fail to put in pure sweet romance when I feel like it! :P SO, what do all of ya think is happening next chappy?
