Chapter 4

Damon POV

I need to see this with my eyes. I almost thought that Stefan and Elena were joking when they told everyone in an urgent reunion at the Boarding house that there was a girl in the tomb with Katherine. And for what it seems, according to Katherine, she just appeared there, a light, a bright light and when it disappeared she was sleeping on the floor. I have difficulty believing their story but Stefan tells us she can't be compelled and wasn't bitten and apparently in the tombs since early today.

Katherine must have called for her when the innocent human girl was walking on the forest, but then there's the door problem, it's made of a big rock a human girl can't even move it for a inch let alone enough to get inside and close it again and do that with her free will it's something I can't believe any human would do, not for Katherine, whatever the circumstance.

Magic is the reason for her appearance, said the girl to Stefan and Elena. High Powers of the Universe or some shit like that. I don't believe any of it, it must be a scheme to distract us from or goals to protect Elena and find out more about this curse.

But then why is she still alive, why didn't Katherine drain her the moment she passed the barrier and even if she appeared in the tombs why Katherine didn't killed her on the spot. All of this is just strange and even impossible to believe and I'm a Vampire. Stefan comments with me that she smells great "Too good to be true" after a moment he realized I wasn't going to comment and added "Like none I have ever encountered before. That's strange Damon. She isn't from this world and she said that this is a different reality a little different from the one she lived before and that was all she was going to say", were his exact words.

If I had been there she would have said everything I wanted to know, but I need to relax and just focus in getting as much information as I can. If she even thinks in hurting Elena I will kill her without a second thought and then problem solved and that almost makes me wish she does it, because another variable in this mess we got ourselves in isn't good.

For now she is trapped because even in her weak state Katherine is still faster and stronger than her and that leads to what I'm doing right now, gathering supplies to the mystery girl. And now you are wondering how did I Damon Salvatore ended up with the shopping trip?! Well it's quite simple Elena was getting hysterical saying she was all alone with Katherine, hungry, uncomfortable and what not. Her exact words were: "But Stefan she is just a girl and she is being kidnapped by a V..psycho…" I could tell that she was going to say vampire at the end but stopped herself and it is also interesting how she spend the day with said psycho and didn't freak out and now it's all about the "helpless girl", her words not mine, and how she was going to buy food and essentials, Blondie was saying she was going with her because she feeling responsible because she didn't sense her earlier when she drop Elena of with Katherine and everyone was speaking at the same time, even Judgy was feeling guilty and responsible, starting to talk about breaking the spell so they had leverage over Katherine so she didn't hurt a girl that only two of us had meet.

It was getting out of control so I just told them to go home and that I was getting the food and stuff for the mystery girl.

Surprise, surprise they actually listen to me. Finally after months trying to get them to do things my way and only when a girl that neither of them actually knows shows up they start to listen…Great I guess.

I descend to the underground tunnels entrance and I can already hear her heart beating, I wonder how the hell Blondie didn't hear it earlier, but now that isn't relevant.

"Hey girl your shopping buddy has arrived!" I say while staying just behind the barrier, I can see Katherine moving towards me getting clearer by the second, coming slowly and she is behind her, her beating faster and faster as it should be. Katherine stops a few steps from the entrance and the girl almost collides with her and that's when I notice the bite mark on her pale left wrist.
