Chapter 7: THE KIDS

Karakura school has been educating kids for many years. It has schooled many people who went to become actors, doctors, CEO's etc. It was a school that was always going to be there for all its new and old students. The school was run by a previous student by the name of Yoshino Soma and she was very laid back compared to her old principal. She was single and happy to be the principal. She never wanted kids but she enjoyed her students. She loved them as an aunt would. She watches over them for eight hours and then gives them back to their parents. She's off holidays and usually goes on expensive trips for her summer vacation.

Elementary classes were never an issue, they were never a problem, they were the angels. Middle schoolers and High schoolers were annoying and always starting fights and arguments. It was a normal Friday. It was a bit chilly but thank goodness classes were inside the buildings. It was just hitting twelve in the afternoon and it was lunch time for everyone aside from elementary students they have lunch at eleven. The students were all leaving their last class before lunch. Everything was going pretty smoothly as it usually did but unfortunately there was an altercation between two male students.

Kenichi Kurosaki was a fifteen year old football player. He was known as the heartthrob. He was a desirable young guy and it helped that he was in shape. As the oldest of seven siblings he thought he would be annoyed with having to see them everyday at school but he wasn't instead he actually enjoyed seeing them in halls. He was putting his books in his locker when he saw the guy who hurt his sister. Kenichi saw red and ran at him full speed.

Juuichi Kuchiki was a fourteen year old basketball player. He was a bit of a jokester and usually the guy people came to for a laugh. Juuichi was trying to find Nana, the girl he hit in P.E and apologize. His sisters Yuki and Soren were also on his ass about apologizing, telling him he should never disrespect women. Juuichi felt so guilty but he knew where Nana sat at lunch and he was determined to find her explain everything to her and apologize before fifth period started. He was just putting his books in his locker ready to head out to the cafeteria when someone punched him out of nowhere.

Nana Kurosaki was a thirteen year old gamer. She was a loner and never really hung out with people outside her family. She was very much to herself and liked it that way. She was a streamer who dedicated all her time to playing video games and being the top player in every and anything she played. When she streamed she always hid her face with a mask and wore purple contacts so her identity was hidden. She was putting her books up in her locker and walking in the direction of the cafeteria when she heard someone screaming her brother's name. She ran to see what was happening and almost screamed in a panic as her brother was fighting Juuichi. She went to quickly try and break them up.

Yuki Kuchiki was a sixteen year old track runner. She loved running track and it made her feel free from all her stresses and anxiety. She was always first place in whatever she ran regardless if it was the fifty run or one-hundred run. Her team always cheered her on and honestly saw her as their meal ticket to finals. She was texting her siblings in their group chat when she heard someone yell her brother's name. She quickly ran to the source of the screaming and saw her brother fighting some guy she saw on the football team and a girl pulling at his shirt. She immediately jumped in to help her brother.

Sen and Sia Kurosaki were eleven years old and were junior cheerleaders. They were pretty popular and loved the attention of boys. Sen and Sia were walking with their best friends Mako and Tsumi. They were sisters not twins but they were twelve and in the same grade as them. All four of them were walking to the cafeteria when they heard people screaming there was a fight happening. The four of them sped to where the fight was happening and the twins immediately started panicking when they saw their brother and sister fighting a girl and another guy. Sen looked at Sia and both jumped in to help their family in need.

Ryo and Soren Kuchiki were both twelve years old. Ryo was the loud class clown who loved to make people laugh. Meanwhile Soren was the quiet and to herself bookworm. They had just about none of the same classes together so when they had passing time they would meet up and chat with each other. They were not twins but they have always been close. Ryo and Soren were walking to the cafeteria when someone ran into them telling Ryo and Soren Juuichi and Yuki were fighting four other people. Ryo and Soren bolted to where the fight was happening and watched as Yuki's hair was being pulled by a girl in a cheerleading outfit and the other girl who looked like her was pulling Juuichi's hair and another girl desperately pulling at Juuichi's shirt. Soren and Ryo quickly went to help their brother and sister.

Kuro Kurosaki was ten years old. He was a soccer player and was pretty good at what he did. He had a small group of friends he would talk to and meet up with everyday and enjoyed his school life. He would see his brothers and sisters here and there and loved lunch time. He could hang with his friends and eat as much as he wanted. He was at his locker putting up his books when he heard screaming and cheering. He walked over to the crowd forming in the middle of the hallway and looked to see who was fighting. His eyes widened when he saw his brother and sisters fighting other students. He jumped in to try and break the fight up before a teacher came or worse the principal.

Yoshino Soma walked in the cafeteria as she usually did when it hit lunchtime for the older children. She noticed that there weren't as many students in the lunch room as there should be. She knew kids would hang outside and eat there so she went to check and see if the kids were outside. Of course there were even fewer outside. Yoshino scowled and grabbed her walkie-talkie and checked with security.

"Hey, is there anything going on?"

'Fight happening in hall B.'

Yoshino hurried to hall B where she saw more security heading that way. When she arrived in the building there were hordes of students surrounding hall B she could barely squeeze herself to see the fight. When she finally squeezed through she saw the Kurosaki's and Kuchiki's fighting. To be honest she knew this was going to happen. One of them was going to get in a fight sooner than later. She watched as security tried separating them. It was hard but they eventually separated them. Yoshino watched the crowd continue to cheer, screaming at the security. They obviously didn't know that their principal was right there in front of them.

"DISPERSE NOW!."

The moment the students heard their principal's voice they immediately ran off. The Kurosaki's and Kuchki's were still trying to fight when Yoshino stepped in between them scowling. She looked at them all and saw them all bruised and battered. She was not looking forward to having to call their parents. Yoshino told the four security guards to send them to detention and went to her office to call their parents. She decided to call the more problematic parent first, which was Ichigo. It took two rings before he answered.

'Hello?'

Yoshino had to contain herself from sighing, "there has been an altercation between your kids. They have been caught fighting and are currently in detention."

'Excuse me!? Who started it, who was it with! Was it that punk that hit my daughter?'

"yes the same boy was involved but I don't know who started it that has yet to be known." Yoshino answered.

'I want to talk to the mother and I want to talk to her as soon as I get there. Her son is a menace. I'll be there in less than thirty minutes.'

Yoshino rolled her eyes as he hung up on her. She really hated talking to some of her students' parents. Yoshino dialed up Rukia. It took two rings before she answered.

'Hello Ms. Soma.'

Yoshino chuckled, "Hey Rukia I'm calling to inform you that there has been an altercation between your children."

'Again? Alright I'll be there in less than twenty minutes.'

Yoshino said a quick goodbye and then hung up. She honestly felt bad for her single mothers, especially Rukia. She had five kids and was a teacher and she knew teachers' salaries were peanuts nowadays. She really didn't want to deal with Ichigo. He was so ill tempered and just down right mean sometimes. Even her secretary Manah Natsui hated him. Speaking of her, she was scowling as she peaked in her office. Manah has short brown curly hair and brown eyes. She was short and skinny but ironically top heavy. She was wearing a gray pencil skirt and white blouse with black heels. Yoshino motioned her in and she stomped angrily in her office and plopped in a chair.

"I do not want to deal with Ichigo. He's just like he was in high school a prick."

Yoshino chuckled, "True. I wasn't around him much but his reputation was not the best."

Manah rolled her eyes, "He was an-"

"What happened to my children? Where are they?"

The two ladies turned and saw a pissed off Ichigo in a pair of jeans, a black shirt, and doctor's jacket. They had to resist their usual eye roll. Yoshino asked Manha to go get the children from detention. Manha gave a little sigh and left to go get the children. Ichigo sat down and stared Yoshino down waiting for her to speak.

"Today during the beginning of lunch period your kids were caught fighting another group of siblings. It's quite ironic."

Ichigo glared, "I bet that boy got his siblings to jump my kids."

Yoshino frowned, "We don't know the circumstances yet."

"I demand they be expelled."

At that moment Manha and all nine of the offending kids came walking in. Yoshino sighed as she went to ask who started it. Kenichi was the first to speak.

"This fucker did it the moment he hit my sister."

Juuichi glared, "Are you serious you asshole you attacked me."

"You hurt my sister!"

Ichigo shook his head and looked at Yoshino, "No I blame the mother, she was the one to raise animals."

Yuki scuffed, "Don't you dare talk about our mother that way you asshole."

"She should teach you heathens some manners if anything." Ichigo commented under his breath.

"Excuse me Mr. Kurosaki but these are children." Yoshino stated aggressively.

Ichigo gave Yoshino a mean look, "Children that should know right from wrong. Their mother is to blame for this. This was their fault and their mother should be ashamed she should teach you right from wrong."

"And I do."

All their heads turned to the short petite woman standing at the doorway. Yoshino felt bad for having to call Rukia; she knew she probably had to cancel her classes. She looked tired and was wearing a black pencil skirt and gray blouse. She was wearing flats and had an oversized purple purse on her left shoulder. She was glaring hard towards Ichigo.

"From what I've assessed from this it was your son who started this altercation."

All heads turned back to see a shocked looking Ichigo. He looked as if he'd seen a ghost. Everyone was waiting for his rebuttal but he just stood shell shocked. Rukia rolled her eyes and turned to her kids.

"What happened?"

Juuichi stood up first, "I was going to apologize to Nana and-"

Bullshit." Kenichi shouted.

Rukia glared hard at Kenichi causing him to shut up, "Young man my son was and is very upset at what he's done to Nana and his sisters and I have scolded him telling him to apologize and explain the circumstances to her. You will not interrupt him and you will not curse in front of your elders, am I understood!"

Kenichi turned to his father who was still frozen in utter silence. He looked at Rukia and rolled his eyes but kept his mouth shut. Rukia looked to her son to continue.

"I was going to apologize and Kenichi attacked me out of nowhere." Juuichi explained.

Nana stepped forward and bowed, "I was trying to break them up. I didn't want anyone getting in trouble."

"And then I jumped in because no one is going to hurt my brother." Yuki turned to Nana and bowed, "I'm sorry for attacking you. I thought you were trying to hurt my brother."

Nana gave a small smile and waved her off saying it was okay.

Sen looked to Sia and stepped up and bowed. Sen spoke first, "We jumped in as well."

Sia agreed, "We thought Ken and Nana were getting jumped."

"Ryo sighed, "Yeah, me and Soren jumped in when we saw them trying to hurt Yuki and Ju."

"We aren't going to let them hurt our brother and sister." Soren added.

Kuro sighed, "And when I saw all of the commotion I tried to break the fight up before a teacher or Principal Soma came."

Rukia smiled and thanked everyone for telling their sides of the story. Yoshino looked at all the kids and sighed heavily.

"Kenichi, you will be ejected from the football team." Yoshino started.

"What! No dad tell her she can't do that."

Ichigo shook his head getting out of his trance and looked at Rukia, "Rukia I-"

"Kurosaki, I believe your son just asked for help." Rukia spoke.

Ichigo frowned, "Kurosaki? What? Rukia come on I-"

"Principal Yoshino, as for everyone else, may I suggest community service and detention. I don't think that wanting to protect their family warrants any ejection from their school sports or activities."

Yoshino nodded, "I agree with you two months of detention and two months of community service."

Ichigo looked at Kenichi and then Yoshino, "Surely Kenichi can get a warning."

Rukia scuffed, "From what I've been told you fought so hard to get my son ejected for something he didn't even intentionally do. Your son should be punished for something he did do."

Yoshino agreed, "She's right Kenichi will be ejected and that is final be thankful he's not suspended and will only be serving two months detention and community service."

Rukia bowed to Yoshino, her children did the same. Ichigo and his kids followed behind Rukia and her kids and walked out to the front of the office. Ichigo stopped Rukia as she was walking out of the office space.

"I haven't seen you in years I-"

"I wish it stayed that way." Rukia harshly stated.

Ichigo frowned, "Can we talk?"

Rukia looked to her kids and gave Yuki the keys, "Go get Nuri from class and start the car. I'll be there soon."

Ichigo gave Kenichi his keys telling him to pick up his brother and sister and to take everyone to the car. The kids watched their father or mother being wary of leaving them alone. Ichigo waited for the children to be out of ear length. He completely ignored the fact that Manha was listening behind her desk hiding herself.

"I haven't seen you in years." Ichigo started off.

Rukia scowled, "Is that all you needed to say?"

"I umm how have you been? Are you enjoying being a lawyer?" Ichigo asked.

Rukia looked Ichigo up and down, "I see you're a doctor congrats you followed your dreams must be nice. That will be the only compliment I give you. Now I want to make this clear to you. I never want to speak to you let alone see you again."

Rukia walked off after that statement leaving a saddened and confused Ichigo behind. He took a deep breath and then went opposite of Rukia to his car where his kids were waiting for him. Manha waited till Ichigo and Rukia were completely gone and ran to tell Yoshino what just transpired.

A/N How was it finally they met! Do we have any favorite characters yet? Tell me guys who is your favorite child and who is your least favorite. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter took me a bit to do. I will be doing you know chapters with the kids being the main story every so often but I just wanted you guys to see different perspectives.
