Chapter Ten. Nine
Shizu-chan
Three weeks had passed since the scandal had died down and Shizuo was already 27 weeks pregnant and just last week Shinra had been informed about the near coming C-section. From the news Shizuo feared the worst but he didn't let it get to him as Kasuka was already worried sick about him. To add ever since the scandal had ended, to avoid any more scandals and suspicions Kasuka had started to make Shizuo grow out his hair and now with Shizuo's brunette locks below his shoulders no one could tell that the brunette was Heiwajima Shizuo. But another thing had changed with Shizuo and it wasn't his appearance…it was his location. He didn't know how or why but after a sudden visit from Shinra and a quick nap on the sofa, Shizuo found himself in a large countryside house that was clearly far from Ikebukuro.
"Urgh…what the hell." Shizuo groaned, clutching his aching head and glaring at the two scammers in front of him.
Shinra jumped as he saw the brunette's glares and with serious caution he carefully asked, "Shizuo…You're awake. How's your head? You're not feeling anything strange right?"
Shizuo cracked at this and gave off such a dangerous aura that both Shinra and Celty knelt down before him as he started to angrily question them.
"Care to explain yourselves…" Shizuo growled.
"Gomen Shizuo. I knew you wouldn't want to leave Ikebukuro so I had no choice!" Shinra cried reciting his readily planned excuses.
"Hah?" Shizuo asked confused.
"Well…you see since we only have a few weeks till surgery and your condition is lethal to a premature birth…we thought it'd be safer to move you to my country lab than risk having a huge commotion in Ikebukuro."
"…Does Kasuka know?"
"Yeah, he helped slip the pill in your milk."
Shizuo sighed at Shinra's tasteless joke but then gave another angry-gentle growl as another brunette walked into the room.
"Are you feeling alright?" Kasuka asked, walking up to his grumpy older brother.
"What do you think." Shizuo growled.
"Gomen Nii-san…" Kasuka chuckled.
