Chapter 33 The Truth Behind 'The Mage's' Heart
Ohayo Minna! What is this chapter doing up? I had nothing to do on a kinda lazy Tuesday so why not? XD I can see that I tortured some of you with da last chappy, especially without showing you the 'mage'! Don't worry though, you'll find out in this chapter! XD Or will you? 0.o...Nah, XD You will...ehem, slight warning to those of you who read on though...Just in case,and I mean just in case...Have a tissue box nearby to wipe away any stray tears that may fall from comedy or stuff...you don't want your keyboard getting soggy and malfunctioning do ya? She walked out of the guild and the doors slammed shut behind her before she teleported around town, looking for a certain mage.
At last she found him,in the graveyard...sitting in front of grave...crying...
¨I-I-I'm-m s-s-so-o s-s-s-o-r-r-ry-y..¨ He whispered, tears sliding down his pale face...
¨I-I-I-I'm-m-m s-s-s-o-r-r-y-y I-I-I c-c-o-u-u-l-ld-d-n-n't-t p-pr-r-otec-ct y-you..¨His soft crying had turned into loud, ugly sobs, his hand covering his eyes.
¨I-I-I'm-m-m s-s-o-o-r-r-y-y I-I-I t-told y-you t-to l-le-eav-ve m-me a-a-a-l-l-o-n-e...¨A large puddle had appeared at the grave... the once sunny weather now filled with dark,Black clouds.
¨I-I-I d-d-d-o-o-n-nt-t w-w-a-an-nt-t y-you t-to g-go..¨ He whimpered brokenly.
¨I-I-I j-ju-s-st w-wa-an-nt-t y-you b-ba-ac-ck...¨His voice trailed off as he slumped across the grave in an awkward kind of hug.
¨I NEED YOU BACK!¨ He suddenly screamed, head snapping up and facing the now pelting rain and lightning, thunder crashing loudly everywhere!
¨_!¨ The name was cut off by a loud crash of thunder, the blue-eyed mage running right past the shocked cinnamon girl, a longing trail of tears following after him.
The wind picked up pace and the leaves on the trees rustled loudly...
She quietly and slowly walked up to the grave,bangs shadowing her expression as the winds whipped tighter and tighter around her;hail bombing from the clouds and the thunder and lightning blinding and deafening.
Her eyes widened in shock at the description...
*BOOM*
Her eyes closed gently, and a single tear fell down her face before she spun away,walking out of the graveyard...
Reminiscing a single name she would never forget...
Juvia Lockser...Beloved mage Of FairyTail...Murdered In Action...
(Still Normal P.O.V)At Her Apartment)
His body was scrunched up into a tight sobbing ball, shaking.
She appeared beside him with a slight blow of the wind and sat down next to him quietly...looking out at the busy and bustling city...
She sighed and turned to him with a blank look on her face.
¨You can't mourn over her forever...¨
He remained unresponsive and continued sobbing.
¨She wouldn't have wanted this...¨
His loud sobs became so deafening that she had to shout the next sentence.
¨She would have wanted you to smile!¨
He trembled uncontrollably and curled tighter.
¨SHE WOULD HAVE WANTED YOU TO MOVE ON!¨ She screamed at him.
He shot up immediately and with bloodshot and blurry eyes aimed a powerful punch at her face.
¨DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT! HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?! SHE DIED IN MY HANDS! MY OWN HANDS!¨ His eyes looked horrified down at his red sore hands as they trembled even worse.
¨HOW WOULD YOU KNOW ANYTHING?! YOU NEVER WENT THROUGH THE PAIN OF LOSING YOUR OWN FAMILY!¨ He screeched, an insane look in his eyes before he swung his fist right at her stomach!
*Thud*

Her hand lay in between his outstretched and tense one and her stomach...

¨I know how you feel.¨

He stood there trembling, blood-shot eyes wide in shock meeting to her shadowed expression.

¨I lost my family too...¨ A tear fell from her hidden eyes and onto his fist.

¨And all my friends...all my nakama...¨ She continued, voice growing slightly more high-pitched and more tears streaking onto his still outstretched fist.

¨They betrayed me...¨ She mumbled quietly.
...
¨They left me alone...¨ She whispered, tears pouring freely out of her eyes as he remained shocked still.

¨Just like they left you...¨ He shook uncontrollably, bangs shielding his expression.

¨To fend for yourself...¨

At that Moment, something inside of him finally snapped as he collapsed into her arms, sobbing heavily.
¨Shhh, it's okay Gray...¨She stroked his hair and hugged him tightly to her as he continued sobbing into her chest.
¨It'll all be okay...¨
After Gray had finally calmed his sobbing down to a few sniffles and some occasional tears, she finally lifted his head up to face her.
¨How did it happen?¨ She whispered calmly and gently,looking at him lovingly with warm,multicolored and brown eyes.
His widened a little and he shook harder, causing her to increase her grip around him and hold him close again.
¨It's okay remember...I'm right here...¨ She said gently, stroking his mid-night black hair.
He swallowed thickly and opened his dry mouth...
*Flash-back*
¨Gray-sama! Gray-sama!¨ The cheery blue-haired woman called out to him as he stripped of his shirt and turned to her.
¨What is it Juvia?¨ He called out tiredly,shielding his face from the setting sun's bright rays.
The girl in question went beet-red as smoke came out of her ears and LARGE,PINK,hearts formed in her eyes.'G-g-g-g-ra-ays-sam-ma c-calle-ed J-j-juv-vi-a-a b-by her n-name! KYAAAAAAAAAAAA!'
Gray looked in panic at the maroon mage and quickly went to her side,shaking her shoulders hard ¨Juvia?! The clue?!¨
She snapped out of her fantasies momentarily and grinned widely ¨Oh yes! Follow Juvia-chan to there!¨ And she marched off.
The ice-mage sighed exhausted and dragged himself after the energetic rain-woman.
They arrived at the entrance to a dark-alleyway and she pointed to something;a piece of wrapping paper with a red substance on it.
The ice-mage's eyes widened in disbelief before he brought up his hand to palm his stressed face.
¨Juiva...that's a candy wrapper...¨ He said slowly and turned his dark-colored eyes to her.
¨So Juvia did good?!¨ She exclaimed excitedly,leaning into his face and clutching her hands together tightly in anticipation.
His eye-brows furrowed annoyingly and he turned away from her annoying face.
¨No Juvia.¨
Her eyes dimmed and she turned back to face the alleyway.
¨Uhm Gray-sama, I think we should investigate this alley-way a bit more.¨ She called out worriedly as something shifted.
The ice-mage didn't stop his steady pace and simply kept going ¨Juvia, we were right there, there's nothing there!¨
¨B-but G-gray-sama I really think we should check it out, i-it feels w-wrong..¨ The bluenette replied nervously, her blue-eyes squinting worriedly into the alley.
¨Juvia it's fine! Just leave it alone!¨ He called back annoyed and fastened his pace slightly, knowing she would eventually catch up..'Jeez, what a nuisance..'
¨Gray-sama!¨
¨ENough Juvia!¨ He called back sternly and sped his pace to an almost jog 'Sometimes I wish that she was just gone! If only she would leave ME alone!'
¨GRAY-SAMAAAA!¨ Another cry was heard back from the alley-way.
He twitched heavily and spun around, ready to tell her off ¨JUVIA-¨
He was cut off by the horrible sight before him.
There lay Juvia...On the ground...A dagger in her stomach...blood gushing out heavily...A black shadow just fading behind her.
He stood there, mouth agape...Horrified and shocked as more and more scarlet liquid drained out of her...
Finally he snapped out of it; ¨JUVIAAA!¨ He screeched, running to her with tears in his eyes.
¨JUVIA!¨ He hugged her frail body to his and ripped off some of her dress, trying to unsuccessfully stop the bleeding.
She smiled slightly as he desperately tried to stop the inevitable 'Gray-sama was always so caring' she thought idly.
¨Y-y-you're g-gonna be okay! You're g-gonna be okay, right Juvia?!¨ He called out hysterically and laughed bitterly 'E-e-everything w-will be f-fi-ine..its-s jus-st a m-minn-nor c-cut thats-s all!¨
She shook her head slowly as her body grew paler and paler...she knew her time was up...¨Gray-sama...¨
He noticed her drastic change of color and looked panically into her eyes ¨N-no, d-don't s-speak-k...Don't Speak!¨
She coughed and blood gurgled out of her mouth ¨G-gray-s-sama...¨ Her voice came out raspy as her eyes began losing their bright-blue shine.
He noticed her dulling eyes and increased his grip on her partly limp body as hot,heavy tears fell down his cheeks ¨N-NO!¨
¨Gray-sama..¨ He shook his head and closed his eyes at her raspy voice, trying to wake out of his dreadful nightmare...
¨G-Gray-sama look at me!...¨ He looked up, tearfully and surprised into her now,dark-gray eyes.
She felt happiness well up inside of her as he looked at her...Gray had finally looked at her first!...She felt happy...despite the growing pain and light-headedness...
She took a shallow breath...she could do this!...all that she could do as her heart-beat slowly slowed...
She gathered all her strength and smiled brightly at him...a smile so bright it would make all the stars in the universe and sun jealous...
¨I love you Gray...¨ She spoke, eyes slowly fluttering close.
His eyes widened and he shook her in his arms ¨Hey! This isn't the time to fall asleep!¨
¨And I always will...just like you...always loved me...¨ She whispered as her eyes closed and her heart stopped its beat.
¨Hey!¨ He lifted his arms to her eyes and tried to pry them open.
¨Wake up now! This isn't funny!¨ He yelled now, leaning down to her chest to try feel her heart-beat.
¨WaKe Up!¨ He screamed, pounding the concrete beside her head as she remained motionless...
A loud thunder rumbled in the distance as rain began pouring down onto the streets, people running everywhere to take shelter...
His jaw clenched and his eyes shut tightly as the cool rain gently grazed his skin, a few drops landing into his mouth and leaving a burning feeling as they trailed down his throat.
¨JJJJJJJJJUUUUUUUUVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!¨
He should have listened.
He never should have ignored her like he did.
Because maybe...
Maybe if he didn't...
She would still be alive now...
Laughing about it...
With him...
By the end of the story he was once again sobbing in the comfort of her arms as she whispered reassuring words into his ears...
¨No one else knew she died did they? No-one else was as close...¨ She murmured as she stroked his spiky black-locks.
¨And when you split apart and distanced...it only increased the pain even more...¨ He buried further into her safe warmth.
¨That you were loneley...that they left you...¨ She continued understandingly as he shook slightly.
¨That your family left you purposely.¨ The ice-mage's arms immediately whipped around her figure as he let out a loud sob...No one, had ever understood him as well as her...no one...not since...
The ice-mage shook his head violently as more tears streamed down his face, his grateful blue-eyes looking up into her warm ones ¨Thank you...¨ He whispered thankfully.
¨AAAAAAAAAH!¨ The two heard a high-pitched female scream in the background and turned to see a teenage girl struggling with a robber.
She looked at him with bright and happy eyes, flicking them between him and the scene ¨Now go on Gray! Make her proud!¨ She cheered and ruffled his hair before sending him off.
He smiled brightly like never before and waved back to her enthusiastically as he jumped into the fight.
¨Huh...who knew even that ice-porcupine could go through such a thing.¨
She closed her eyes and smiled lightly before opening them again and looking fondly over to the fight.
¨You could have helped, you know..¨
¨I know...¨ He chuckled, sitting down next to her and watching his rival fight before grinning at her widely, ¨But, he needed his share..¨
Her smile grew wider and she laughed,him joining in after-wards.

¨C'mon Natsu, let's head home...he'll be fine for the time being.¨ She spoke after a while and turned to look at him from her cinnamon locks.
His grin widened 10-fold and his onyx eyes sparkled happily, spiky pink locks swaying in the slight breeze.
¨Aye!¨
;_; I think I just killed all of the GrUvia fans in my story... I'M SO SORRY! DX I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE I GOT THIS FROM;MY MIND JUST MADE IT UP AND I WENT WITH IT I'M SOWWWYYYYY!
