I meant to update this almost a week ago...but I'm very sorry. I had the week from hell (which involved being told my unborn baby didn't have a heartbeat and two days later finding out the hospital was wrong) So please, please forgive me! I hope you all like this chapter. It's super fluffy. And next chapter we get to see Emma's reaction to this awesome gift that Regina is planning to give her! I love all of you who read/review/favorite/follow this story! Please keep it up!

In her 25th week of pregnancy, Regina was beginning to fully understand why women began complaining about being pregnant. She loved it…she really, truly did, but it was exhausting. The only parts of her feet that she could see were her toes. Her breasts were overwhelming, (though Emma loved that) and she had to pee every fifteen minutes. And all she wanted, more so than before, was sex. Sex and food. Still, she had only gained ten pounds in her pregnancy and Dr. Whale told her she was right on track with healthy weight gain. Emma whined at her that it wasn't fair because none of her face was fat yet, and that just was a sin against every other woman to ever have been pregnant. Her belly button had also already popped out and Emma found it really hot.

It was a Thursday night and the women were alone, Henry asked to stay at Hansel's, so they had a night together alone before their weekend. True to their thoughts, Regina and Emma planned a weekend trip to New York, while Regina could still fly, and they were leaving the next day after Emma's shift at work was finished. Henry was excited to go back, even if it was with his disgustingly affectionate moms. If he was honest, though, it was much better seeing them be overly affectionate than to see them fighting and barely hanging on. They had just finished their second round of lovemaking and they were both collapsed on their backs, panting heavily.

Emma was the first to get up, walking around to Regina's side of the bed and grabbing her hands and pulled her up to sit. Forcing her wife into the shower with her, Emma lathered up a loofah and ran it over Regina's body. She loved touching her pregnant wife. It was a reminder that she had a family…a home. It was a reminder that she was still here, still wanted, still welcome. They stole several kisses during their washing,

"Regina…" Emma started hesitantly.

"Yes darling?" Regina asked, turning back around to face Emma under the water.

"So I know we've been arguing about whose car we should get rid of to replace with something bigger, and I just wanted to say that we can get rid of the bug. It's not a huge deal and it is really old and I really don't mind." Regina smiled and kissed Emma sweetly.

"Thank you, dear." Her response sounded appreciative, but Emma didn't really know her plan, and that was fine since it was meant to be a surprise anyway. She turned back around so as not to let Emma see her poker face slipping and they finished up cleaning off. After they were towel dried, and dressed in pajamas, which for Regina meant a hugely oversized men's t-shirt these days, the brunette laid down on her back and Emma grabbed the cocoa butter from the dresser. She knelt between Regina's legs and shoved up her t-shirt. It was a nightly ritual that Emma had started when Regina had been rubbing the cream on her perfectly shaped baby bump one night and Emma had walked in. She loved touching her wife's stomach as much as possible. She loved talking to Sawyer and telling her stories. Every night before bed, she would do so. She would rub the anti-stretch mark cream into the beautifully tan skin and talk.

"What do you want to hear tonight, Sawyer?" Emma asked, kissing Regina's popped belly button. "Oh! How about your mommy's forgetfulness!" Emma grinned at Regina mischievously as the brunette chuckled and shook her head. "Ok, Sawyer, one morning, mama came downstairs to get ready for work on the weekend, and mommy was sleeping in since she didn't have to go to work. What did I see when I walked into the kitchen? The freezer door was wide open! Mommy tried to blame it on Henry, saying he must have gotten hungry for a midnight snack." Emma continued rubbing the cream over the curve of Regina's stomach as she spoke. "But mama knew that was just a cover up story she was trying to use, because mama saw that mommy left a carton of cotton candy ice cream on the counter. Henry and mama don't like that ice cream, because it's disgusting and too sweet, but your mommy does. Oh, and Sawyer…mommy blames you, she says you make her have terrible taste in food. And when grandpa comes over at lunch time and goes for a walk with mommy to work off the ice cream she eats every night, grandpa says that mommy always gets ice cream at Granny's on their way back. And mommy thinks mama doesn't know."

Regina was unable to stop her grin. She couldn't help the loving smile she was giving Emma, even if it was embarrassing that David told Emma about their lunch tradition of getting ice cream…almost every single day. This nightly routine made Regina happy. She couldn't imagine going back to where they were before…even on their blissful honeymoon. The past couple of weeks, the women had learned more about each other than they had in the first 3 years of their relationship. They talked all the time, and Emma would sometimes tell Regina stories in a roundabout way by telling them to Sawyer at night as she rubbed the cocoa butter over her stomach. And every night, Emma would keep talking to her belly while the lotion dried, and then she would kiss her belly button again, Regina would pull her shit back over her stomach and turn to her side. Emma would curl around her, being the big spoon to Regina's little one and they would cuddle while they slept.

When they woke up Friday morning, Emma headed to work first, since Regina had decided to work a little later than usual. She was forgoing her usual walk with David that day in favor of him bringing lunch to her office since she wanted to go home and pack right away. When David arrived at her office with her turkey club sandwich and fries, she greeted him with a quick hug and the pair sat on the couch.

"I need you to do me a favor while we're gone. And…I need you to make sure it gets done before we get back."

"What's up?" Regina slid her hand into her blazer pocket and handed David the spare key to Emma's car that the brunette had had made before they even got married. "Emma thinks she's going to sell her car. We've been…discussing the car situation a lot and—"

"Arguing, you mean," David interrupted with a wry grin.

"Discussing," Regina corrected with a teasing glare, "and while I initially thought she should give up her car…I've decided that she's done so much for me to make up for everything and I haven't really been giving her enough back. So…I want you to take her car and drop it off at Michael's garage. Tell him cost isn't an issue to get any parts necessary, but I want that car perfected before we're back. I want everything fixed, a new paint job and new tires…everything."

Raising his eyebrows, David asked, "Really?"

"Yes, really."

"So…you're getting rid of your car?"

"No. Actually, I was thinking we would get an SUV for me and when Henry gets his license he can have my car."

"You two spoil him."

"Sure…but he's been through too much for a boy his age. I feel like it's all we can do to make his life as normal as possible…spoiling him, I mean. And…now that we have Sawyer coming I just think that…I don't want him to ever think that he'll be less important to us."

"He doesn't need a very nice car to tell him that."

"I know. It's not like I'm going out and buying him a brand new car. It's not like I paid for the car in the first place…he might as well get it."

"Fair point. So my task is to get Emma's car perfected before you're back. I'll probably end up having to help Michael out with the labor."

"Yes…and you don't need to pay for Granny's tonight or Saturday as payment for your help. I was thinking…since we'll be gone you can just stay at our house. The fridge still has a lot of food and since I won't be around to cook you can at least eat our food."

"That's not necessary, Regina. I really don't mind doing you guys a favor."

"I know. But that's exactly why it is necessary. I spent far too much of my life not thanking people properly, and not giving reward where it was due. I am not that person anymore. Please let me thank you?"

Nodding his head with a smile, David agreed. "Thank you. It will be nice to sleep in your amazing guest room bed again. Seriously…that's the best bed I've ever slept in."

"Perks of the curse I guess. How are you and Snow doing?"

"Better. It was nice of you to have lunch with her last week. She told me you apologized for how we were that night we were over at your place for dinner."

"I did."

"That wasn't necessary. Apologizing to Emma may have been, on both our parts, but not to Snow."

"Perhaps not, but if someone had acted inappropriately like that with Emma…especially someone attractive…I would have killed them. And Snow handled it well. I do want Emma to make amends with her. Emma wants both her parents…she needs you both and sometimes she doesn't think so, but I know she realizes it in her saddest moments. They were best friends…close enough to be like family before the curse broke and she wants that back."

"It's killing Snow. I mean…she sort of deserves the hard way around anyway after what she did…but she does really miss Emma."

"Perhaps another dinner after we get back. A less awkward one."

"Sure." They finished eating and David bid her a good time on their tip out of town before leaving her office and Regina worked another hour before going home.

She packed Henry's bag first, immediately regretting it when she found magazines in his underwear drawer that she never wanted to imagine him reading. After spending a solid half an hour trying to mentally bleach the thought from her mind, she finally managed to start packing her own bag, followed by Emma's, which she left open and on the bed so the blonde could decide if she was satisfied with Regina's choices for her. Regina made dinner after Henry got home, telling him he could eat in the living room and play his games…mostly because she couldn't imagine sitting at the table alone with him just yet. She needed Emma to come home because she would know how to handle it. But when Emma did arrive home, she had only enough time to change, look over her bag and eat the meal Regina had set aside for her.

When they were checked onto the flight, Henry took the window seat, Emma sat in the middle and Regina took the aisle seat. The brunette wasn't as fidgety or awkward as she had been for her first flight, the trip for their honeymoon, but she was rubbing quick circles around her stomach. Emma leaned over and placed her hand over Regina's on top of her protruding stomach.

"Sweetheart, calm down. It will be fine. You keep rubbing your stomach that hard, you're going to hurt the baby," Emma teased with a wink.

"Shut up."

"You shut up."

When they were in the air, Regina looked over and saw that Henry had put his headphones on and was watching a movie on his ipad. Certain he wouldn't be able to hear their conversation, Regina leaned over against Emma's shoulder and whispered into her ear.

"Guess what I found while packing our son's bag?"

"What?"

"Pornography magazines."

"Under his mattress?"

"No! I wasn't snooping…I was packing. They were in his top drawer."

"So what should we do? Do you want to talk to him? Should we have dad talk to him?"

"Perhaps we could try discussing it with him and if he seems uncomfortable we could have David talk to him. I just don't like the idea that he's interested in that and he's spent the night at Grace's without our permission. Do you think he's having sex?"

"No. No definitely not."

"Why do you seem so certain?"

"Because he's a teenage boy, if he'd had sex then we would know. He would be…it would be obvious to us, I think. It's not like he's the type of boy who spends all of his time away from us, hating his parents. He's home a lot, we see him enough that we would have noticed the difference."

"Do you think we would have? We've been ridiculously preoccupied with ourselves lately."

"Regina…we've been preoccupied but neither of us has taken our attention off Henry that much, you know that."

"Yes…I suppose you're right. We'll talk to him when we get back, there's no need to do it before we attempt a fun-filled family weekend."

"Good idea."

When they landed in New York, they made their way out of the airport and hailed a taxi. After the cab took them to their hotel, Regina checked in for them. She had reserved a two-room suite so that Henry could have his own room but not completely unsupervised as the rooms shared a kitchenette and a sitting area. They rested for the night, settling into their rooms and then trying to watch a movie together in the sitting area, but Emma and Regina fell asleep halfway through.

Saturday, they acted like tourists through and through. Their first stop was the Statue of Liberty. Then they went to the Met and Emma took them to a pizzeria and ordered the most delicious pizza that Regina had ever tried. Emma joked with Henry about the line he'd dropped at her the last time he'd had New York pizza. When Regina asked what she meant, Henry smiled and told his mom that he had told Emma that his pizza was "Cheesy, delicious and it doesn't lie." The trio laughed heartily at the memory until Regina realized that Emma and Henry had been with Neal that day and it was when Henry had found out his father actually was alive.

They sobered quickly and enjoyed the city some more. Making their way back to their hotel room, exhausted from the long day of tourism, Emma ordered room service for their dinner and they ordered another movie from the television. They women settled in on the couch after their dinner came, Emma balancing her plate on her knees and Regina holding hers on one palm while eating with the other hand. Henry laid on his stomach on the floor, eating his fancy, expensive burger that was probably as good as one he could get at Granny's, but was enjoying himself and his moms were glad for that.

By time their movie was over, Henry was passed out on the floor and Emma shook him awake, telling him to go to his bed. Then, drawing a bath in the Jacuzzi tub in their room, Emma asked Regina if she wanted to join her or if she was too tired.

"I'll join you…if we can both fit," Regina sighed.

"Regina…stop, you're not even that big."

"Yes, I am. And my feet hurt from walking all day, even if I did wear athletic shoes."

"Go get in. I'll be right there." Regina did as Emma directed, undressing herself and climbing into the hot water. She had been whining when she complained that they both might not fit…it was probably big enough for a third person if they tried. When Emma came into the bathroom she was already undressed and wrapped in a robe, which she untied and let fall to the ground before she climbed into the water and sat across from Regina. Taking one tan foot into her hands, Emma started massaging her wife's feet with strong fingers.

"Mmm," Regina moaned. Letting her eyes fall closed, she dropped her head back to rest against the bath wall. "That's amazing…thank you."

"I got you something while we were out today."

"Oh?"

"Mmhmm, I sure did."

"That's silly. You don't have to get me things."

"I know. But somehow I think you'll like this."

"What is it?" Regina asked, her curiosity getting the best of her. Emma leaned over, drying her hands on a towel and reached into the pocket of her robe. She pulled out a gold necklace and dangled it in front of Regina, who grabbed it with a light smile.

"I know your favorite necklace broke a while ago and I thought you'd like this one. " The pendant was a flat gold circle with four small stones embedded into it.

"All of our birthstones," Regina breathed.

"Yeah. I mean…you're due like… January 20th right? So I think it's safe to say that she'll be born in January.

"Yes…I'm sure that is safe to say." Regina pushed herself up a little and Emma moved the rest of the way and the women grasped each other and in awkward hug with their legs and Regina's belly preventing them from getting close. "Emma…I don't tell you enough how much I love you and need you. But I do."

"I know, babe. Me too." They kissed quickly and both women leaned back again. Emma resumed massaging Regina's feet and Regina hummed quietly.

"I know someone who has a birthday coming up soon." Emma groaned at Regina's words.

"No. I don't want to do anything."

"Oh but we are. It doesn't have to be big…just us and your dad…and perhaps your mom for dinner at our house?"

"My mom?"

"Yes, Emma. You don't have to decide right now…but I was thinking we could invite her over sometime this next week for dinner again."

"She hasn't done anything to prove herself!"

"Emma…I don't think that's true. I told you about our lunch. And that dinner with your parents at our house…your mom behaved really well. She hasn't been pushing you, she's been kind to me. She and your father are working hard at getting to a place where they can be back together. But…David won't move home until you're ready to have a relationship with your mother again. I'm not saying that means you need to forgive her for your father. I'm just saying that forgiving her and letting her back in doesn't mean that you have to forget everything and just be completely alright with her."

"Regina…the way she treated you when she found out…"

"Emma, don't stay mad at her for me. I'm not mad anymore. Yes, she said very hurtful things…but she was hurt. I betrayed her…after spending many years trying to make her miserable and after we got to a point where we could be civil…she found out that I slept with her husband. I understand why she said and did the things she did."

"How are you so amazing?"

Regina scoffed. "I wouldn't be anything like this if you hadn't given me the chance."

"You think we're almost ready to stop seeing Archie?"

"Perhaps a couple more visits. But soon, yes. I think I'll continue seeing him alone for a little while, though."

"Really?"

"There are some insecurities I have about raising another child from birth after Henry. Things that I did with Henry that weren't harmful or bad even, but I'm not sure I want to parent this one the same way."

"What kind of things?"

"Well, Henry was a good boy, but he was spoiled…still is. I had problems saying no to him when he was small, I had problems disciplining him properly because it would send me into a panic attack about my mother using magic against me. I just want to get help with some issues before Sawyer is born," Regina finished with a shrug as Emma nodded her response and lifted Regina's foot from the water and kissed the inside of her ankle.

"You're getting pruney," Emma teased, showing Regina her foot. "I think it's time to get out."

The next morning they went to a nice bistro for breakfast before they packed their things and prepared to head back home. Their trip may have been short, but it was worth it. They all enjoyed the time away and Emma and Regina particularly enjoyed being outside of the town where everything happened between the two of them. Storybrooke would never be replaceable; it was the first place either of them had ever felt at home. Still…they wouldn't complain about some time away.

Their plane wasn't set to take off until late afternoon, so they lounged around their room for lunch until they needed to head to the airport. Regina checked her messages when they landed after their flight and had one from David to call her as soon as she could. She excused herself from Emma and Henry, who went to grab their bags from the luggage carousel.

"Regina?" David asked when he answered his phone.

"What's going on?"

"How long until you're back."

"An hour and a half at most."

"Have you eaten dinner? Can you buy just a little time? I need maybe two and a half hours. We're almost done. Can you go to dinner or something?"

"Sure. And…you'll have it in the garage when we get home, then?"

"I promise."

"Thank you, dear. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Drive safe."

"Who was that?" Emma asked as Regina hung up the phone. Henry was pulling Regina's black suitcase on its wheels and had his own duffle slung over his shoulder as he walked toward them.

"Nobody. It was work related, darling. Are you guys fine with grabbing some dinner before we drive home? I'm starving. I need to eat a lot more than I used to, these days."

Both agreed and the trio made their way to the car lot where they had stored their car for the weekend.
