Sorry for the long time between updates. I've been having personal struggles that I'm trying to get through and writing was a bit of an issue. I've still been getting messages about David and Regina's relationship, so they're going to talk to others about it in this chapter and then I'm moving on. This chapter was going to be set a few weeks ahead, but I did this, so the next one will be set further in the future of the story. I love you all and thanks for the follows, reviews and for reading. And thank you for your patience with me.

The Friday following their dinner, Emma had a late day at the station, so Regina decided to work her four hours in the afternoon so she could stay in bed with Emma. The blonde lay down on the bed on her back, Regina curled against her as much as possible, her rounded belly pressing against Emma's side. Tan fingers traced slow circles on Emma's flat, muscled stomach. Both were bare, due to their morning activities, but Regina looked up and pressed a soft kiss to Emma's jaw and tilted her head.

"I know that this is not the time of this kind of conversation—" she started, being cut off by Emma.

"But?"

Grinning, Regina continued. "What do we do about discussing those magazines I found in Henry's drawer last week?"

Emma chuckled and pressed a kiss to the brunette's forehead. "We can try talking to him, but honestly, I'd rather have dad do it. I think having us talk to him will just make him uncomfortable."

"But we're a lot closer than most moms are with their sons."

"I know, babe. But, he's still a 16 year old boy. He probably doesn't want to talk about sex with us, especially when he's… you know, walked in on us and stuff."

Humming, Regina nodded. "Alright. Would you like to join your father and me for lunch today and we'll ask him then?"

Emma pulled Regina closer to her, nodding against dark hair. "Sounds good. Nap with me?"

Regina nodded, already near falling asleep herself.

A couple of hours passed and they were picking up lunch to bring to the station, figuring the conversation would be much easier to have privately there than at the diner. When they walked in with lunch for the three of them, they all gathered between David's desk and the extra, unused desk in front of his.

"What do you two want?" he asked suspiciously. "I don't usually get lunch with both of you, so spill."

Emma laughed heartily while Regina chuckled and blushed. "Emma told me you're off this weekend," Regina said nonchalantly.

"Yes."

"How would you like to take Henry camping, or fishing, or… anywhere?"

"Need another weekend away?"

"No… actually, we need you to talk to him."

Tilting his head, David asked, "About what?"

"Well… I was packing for our trip last weekend, and I figured I would help him and pack his things as well, since he had school. I found some… magazines in his top drawer."

"You want me to give him the sex talk?"

"No, not exactly. Emma has given him the sex talk already before. We just… I don't like those magazines and I want him to understand that all women are different and that they don't necessarily look like the women in his magazines."

Chuckling and shaking his head, David nodded. "Yeah, okay."

"What dad?" Emma asked with a slight edge to her tone.

"I mean, I'm not the one who should say this, but you realize that living with the two of you is probably difficult enough?"

"What does that mean?" Regina asked, nearly growling.

"Okay, look, Henry came to me right before you two got married and he asked what he should do about kids at school picking on him."

"Henry is getting picked on?"

"No, not… not really. But he told me that guys his age would make comments to him about the two of you."

"What kind of comments?"

"About how you're MILFs and how you're both women, which is stupid, but I imagine they were hearing that part from their parents."

"What did you tell him?" Regina asked.

"And why didn't you tell us then?" Emma threw in.

"It wasn't necessary, I helped him through it and it wasn't a big deal."

"Again, I ask what you said?"

"It's not important, it wasn't then and it isn't now. What matters is that it helped him, I haven't heard him say he's had any issues since."

"So what will you tell him now?"

"I'll figure out something. You two should have a girl's night. Invite Ruby, she was complaining about missing you both. And… maybe invite—"

"Snow?"

"I don't know, dad. That's… big."

"I know, Em. I'm not trying to push it, but she really had fun at dinner the other night, and she was talking about all the baby stuff she wants to get you two and talking about throwing you a baby shower and it's all she talks about. She's going back to who she was, Emma. She just wants you to see it."

Emma nodded slowly and agreed.

The next day, Henry and David loaded Henry's overnight bag into the truck and watched as Snow and Regina finished putting together a cooler of snacks, meals and drinks for them for the day and overnight. Emma was at the station until dinnertime. When the guys headed out, Snow began to bow out of the house, telling Regina she would see her for dinner that night.

"Snow… why don't you stay?" Regina offered.

"Are you sure? I… I wouldn't want to impose."

"I think that it wouldn't hurt us to talk some more. And we can bake, I have had a mean craving for pumpkin everything lately. You know how I like my desserts homemade, they take time."

Snow smiled and nodded, agreeing to spend the day baking with Regina, and she was glad for it.

"I just… I have to ask you again. I know we've talked a small amount about it, but it was… will you reassure me?" Snow hesitated as she rolled out the crust Regina handed her.

"About David?" Regina said, tilting her head.

"Did… was it ever more than just getting back at me? Did you ever want him for more than that? I-I know you love Emma, but you can desire someone and love another."

Regina gave Snow a tight smile, shaking her head. "No. I wanted vengeance and to prevent the curse from breaking, but I never wanted more than that, not in the way you're asking. I hadn't even intended to sleep with him, and I didn't think he'd sleep with me. I wanted to seduce him enough to get him to date me and leave you alone. But we were both lonely. I… there's nothing more I can say about that."

She looked at Snow, making sure the other woman was still listening. And while she could see that she was working hard on the crust, Regina could tell that Snow was paying close attention, so she continued.

"But… as far as since then, no. I've truly never wanted more from him than the friendship we formed. I knew almost immediately after the curse broke that there was the possibility of something great between Emma and me. And I wanted that, I wanted her. This friendship I've formed with David is innocent. I've told Emma and I'll tell you, I don't know what David's thoughts were, but yes, I've flirted with him much since Emma and I started falling apart after the Neal incident. But I wouldn't have slept with him. I just… I felt like I was disappearing. Emma… I felt like Emma didn't really want me and like she felt obligated to stay because of the baby, and that was so painful because I love her so much. So I flirted with David and it felt nice. But I wouldn't have slept with him again. I've grown to love him; he's my best friend aside from Emma. He's important to me. I wouldn't risk losing Emma or David by sleeping with him. I'm just… not interested in that anymore. Emma is all that I want."

Snow put the roller down that she was working with, and despite her flour covered hands, she grasped Regina's shoulders and pulled her toward her in a hug. Tears spilled slowly out of her eyes. When she pulled away, she offered the older woman a soft smile.

"Thank you, Regina. Thank you for caring about Emma's relationship with me. Thank you for being patient in explaining the situation with you and David. And… and thank you for taking care of my husband while he and I were… figuring things out," Snow said. "I can't thank you enough."

"Don't worry about it, dear. Family is important to Emma, me too, but Emma didn't have any real family growing up and I blame myself for the larger portion of that. I want her to have everyone she loves in her life. It… it's the best I can give her."

"She looks at you the way David once looked at me."

"David still looks at you that way, you just don't see it because you're scared."

"So… why are we out here?" Henry asked as he and David set up the tent.

"What do you mean? Can't an old grandpa want to spend time with his grandson before he's too old to hang out with me?"

"Right. We've never gone camping in the almost six years that I've known you. Fishing, yes, video gaming, yes, camping, no."

"It was your moms' idea."

"Why?"

"You wanna get right into it, huh?" David joked.

"Well?"

After the pie came out of the oven, Regina took in a deep breath. "Oh that smells delicious. I'm gonna have a hard time not eating this right away."

Snow chuckled at Regina, picking up the glass bread dish. "Bread ready to go in?"

"Yes, just change the oven to 350, dear," she answered.

Snow did as asked, then put the bread into the oven. Regina started mixing ingredients for her turnovers. The younger woman tilted her head and looked over at her.

"Is everything alright, Regina?"

"Hmm?" Regina asked, turning and looking at Snow. At the worried expression on the other woman's face, Regina said, "Oh, right. No, I'm fine, everything is fine."

"But?"

"I worry, sometimes. Henry's… I just worry. I've never been happier than I am now. I have… people, friends, and this beautiful wife and son, a baby on the way. I worry that things will change and something will go wrong."

"That's your problem then, right there. You need to not worry." Regina set down her knife and Snow grabbed her shoulders, turning her toward her. "Listen, Regina, if there is anything I've learned lately, it's that you can't worry about what might happen. You need to live your life as happy as you are and give it everything it needs to stay that way, and if something happens to hurt it, you fix it and deal with it as it comes."

"I thought your issue was the fact that David lied to you," Regina said gruffly.

"No. I was afraid—worried, even—that maybe he didn't tell me right away because he didn't want to answer questions. I worried that when you two were spending time together running that you weren't actually running. I worried that he would enjoy you better, maybe that was why he waited so long to tell me, he didn't want to have to straight out lie. I worried. And it ruined everything because I let my worries get the best of me and destroy our relationship. Or nearly destroy it. Lucky for me, he's an incredible man who loves me and is willing to forgive me."

"He does love you, very much," Regina answered, smiling. "He talks about you a lot. How you guys are working toward getting better. He's happy again."

"I'm glad. I missed him."

"Can I ask you something, Snow?"

"Of course."

"Emma was curious about something she saw the other day."

"Oh?" Snow asked, her voice raising slightly as she finished the short word.

"She saw Blue entering your home… she was just curious about why. After everything Blue has done. We didn't realize you were still friends."

"O-oh. Uh… she's doing me a sort of favor."

"What kind of favor?" Regina asked, raising an eyebrow.

"She let me see my heart. You were right, you know. It's… it's darkened even more. Blue is going to try to help me return it to normal, or at least not allow it to darken more."

"Good."

"Yes. Thanks."

"Regina found a collection of magazines in your room that concerned her," David told him.

A deep red blush covered Henry's cheeks at having his grandfather talk to him about his porn magazines. Then he realized he could be talking to his moms instead and he became incredibly grateful that they likely didn't want to have that conversation either. "Ma already gave me the sex talk," he choked out.

"I know. They want me to talk to you about women."

"About women?"

"Yes. About women, and how the women in your magazines aren't necessarily realistic."

Henry groaned and looked away. "Grandpa… seriously, let's not."

"Just hear me out, okay, kid?" Henry nodded reluctantly and David spoke again. "Look, I know you're surrounded by beautiful women, I get that. Your moms are both beautiful, grandma is, and your girlfriend is a very pretty girl, Ruby, Belle. I get that most of the women you know are very attractive and beautiful women. But you need to understand that all women are different."

"Dude, I've got it."

"Henry, are you and Grace having sex?"

"God, grandpa!"

"Fine, don't tell me. Just never disrespect a woman because of her body, okay? Or any reason, for that matter. But if… if there is a flaw or something about her you don't like when you guys do get around to sex or anything, don't disrespect her because of it. All women are beautiful, even if one isn't your type. You need to respect her."

"I get it, grandpa. I do. You really think that I could grow up in the family I grew up with and not respect women? I mean, for any reason. I have the world's three most intimidating women in my family, and on top of that, anytime ma or mom messes up, they have to work through hell to make it better. I get that. I know how to respect people and that includes girls and women."

"Good," David breathed, feeling awkwardly relieved. "Your moms will be happy to hear that."

"Did they ask you to ask me if I'm having sex?"

"No. I'm sure they know you're growing up and you'll be going in that direction someday. I think they'd prefer not to know."

"Good, 'cause that's just weird." They had long since finished setting up the tent and Henry was sitting on some foldable chairs with David. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Henry."

"I… was just curious if you love mom."

David squinted for a minute, looking Henry over, then shook his head. "Regina?"

"Yeah."

"No. I mean, yes, I love her, but in the way I love Ruby or maybe it's even comparable to how I love Emma. I love that Emma is my daughter, but we've always been a lot more like friends."

"So… but, there was a while there when I thought you and mom would leave grandma and ma for each other."

"What? Why?"

"The way you looked at each other. I don't know. It's… it's how mom used to look at Emma, and how Emma looks at mom now."

"You don't think Regina looks at Emma that way anymore?"

"She does, but I think she looks more afraid than anything."

"I don't know why anyone still acts like you're sixteen. You see a lot more than you let on."

"I'm not a kid anymore," Henry pushed.

"I know. And to answer your question… it's still a no. There was a little bit of time when Regina and I spent a lot of time together as both of our relationships were falling apart and I think we both misplaced our affection because we needed it to go somewhere. We… neither of us do very well on our own and that's something we need to work on separately as individuals, but we've discussed it and Emma understands. Someday your grandma will. I think she's on her way to believing it right now, anyway."

"You think my moms are gonna be okay?"

"I do. I think they'll be great."

"I'm thinking of going away to college next fall," Henry revealed.

David did a double take at his grandson's words. "I… really?"

"Technically I'll only have two classes to take after this year is over and I don't want to take an entire extra year for two classes, so I was thinking of taking summer school."

"That's a big deal, Henry. I'm not sure your moms are ready to lose you a year early," David said, letting the last words come out jokingly.

"I… they're going to have the baby to take care of, and… I want to go live in the real world and have new experiences, ya know?"

"I get it, I do. Just give them fair warning to get used to the idea."

"Yeah."

When Emma shut the front door behind her, Regina and Snow were getting ready to finish up the dinner they'd made together and Snow tensed at the realization that Emma was home and it was time for their girl's night.

"It'll be fine," Regina reassured. "Just relax, everything will be okay."

Snow nodded, and Regina left to greet Emma at the door.
